This company is a lifesaver in Florida
This company is a lifesaver in Florida. Not enough peeps do this tough job crawling under homes in the hot sun. Hurricanes can easily knock over mobile homes. Make sure to check your tiedowns. Two of mine were rusted and broke. The folks at this company were awesome. The estimator knew his stuff and answered all my Qs. He gave an honest evaluation and wasn't pushy. I went with the lateral system and replaced 2 tie downs. The cost is small compared to the damage if the house blew over. I'm a Realtor with lots of experience. I recommend this company to anyone who wants to protect their home. Plus, it's an investment because the equipment adds more resale value that I can get back when I sell.
We jus bought our home and new we had barrier problems
We jus bought our home and new we had barrier problems. We had an estimate from someone who the previous owner had called. Rick was actually looking at a job right across the street and took the time out of his schedule to come over and take a look. As I suspected the entire barrier needed to be updated. We were scheduled to have the work done on Wed. 6/8. The office called and got us in a day ahead of time. The crew showed up on time, got into those god awful tyvek suits and went right to work. They were under the house all day and took pics of a problem with the a/c which I will need to address next but they got it as good as it can be for now. One of the guys even got the baby bunnies out from under the house before he closed up. Thanks for the job you and your guys did, I could have done it myself but at 6'5" and 250 I would have probably needed to call and have you come out and get me from under the house LOL. As far as the people and their negatives they obviously do not work in the service industry. THANKS again for the prompt and clean work your crew did. I will definitely recommend you to anyone that asks.
I was really bummed out by Underhome Armor, LLC
I was really bummed out by Underhome Armor, LLC. They came to my crib in Venice, Fl to give me a free estimate, and at first, everything was cool. The rep was able to spot a vapor barrier issue, and he said that a team of 4 or 5 dudes would come and fix everything up in about 4 hours. But that's where the good stuff ended. On the day of the job, only three guys showed up in a pickup truck. The supervisor had a janky "map" of the underside of my home, and I had to show him where the crawl space entrance was. After only half an hour, they said they were done, even though I had asked them about the vapor barrier issue that was still shining through from outside and under the house. They tried to tell me there was no problem, even though that was the whole reason I hired them. I reminded them that the original estimate said they would use foam to cover the openings, and they went back under with cans of spray foam. After only 15 minutes, they came back out and showed me pictures of the foam spray. You can see where this is going, right? It was a bait and switch. The first guy said it would take 4 hours, but the workers were done in less than an hour. When I called the office to ask why it cost over $1000, the dude I talked to said, "the price of everything is going up." If I had to do it again, I wouldn't choose them. They're no better than any other company out there.
This company said they'd do a whole new insulation, vapor barrier, and AC ductwork
This company said they'd do a whole new insulation, vapor barrier, and AC ductwork. But after the first day, I found 50% of the work undone. I talked to the owner, Robert G., but the second day, the staff still didn't finish the demo, insulation, vapor barrier, and the AC ductwork leaked 50% or more air from the system. They failed on every level. The staff was incompetent, and the owner didn't respond well. He even sent me to a Collection Agency in less than 30 days after our last talk. I offered $1000 to cover materials, but I had no confidence that their workers could do the complete project as stated in the brochure and contract. 1/3 of the space under my home had no vapor barrier installed, and the insulation was falling out. I found out after the staff left, saying "the job is complete." The owner was surprised I crawled under my home, but I'm 67 years old, weigh 107, and can crawl under my home to check the workmanship. This company does quick shoddy work and assumes no one will ever crawl under their home to inspect. We just had 30-40 degree temps over the weekend, and I had to crawl under my home and seal the air system before the cold front. It still leaks 20%. I settled with Underhome Armor for $2500 (of $6300 contract), which is far more than they deserved. I could have done better myself. I'm so angry!

Other than the timing they were very nice and explained what they did
Other than the timing they were very nice and explained what they did. From a cost standpoint they were comparable to other companies, they did include a veterans discount. I would recommend them

Under Home Armor did a great job, cleaned up before they left, and the workers were respectful and very pleasant
Under Home Armor did a great job, cleaned up before they left, and the workers were respectful and very pleasant. They may be a little more than others, but they use better quality materials, names that you know and trust. They are well worth the small extra cost knowing that the job was done correct and have a lifetime guaranty, that will save the underside of my mobile home and it's floors for years to come. They were on time and completed the work in one day.
Very unprofessional company
Very unprofessional company. I don't know how they stay in business. They called to reschedule the estimate appointment with Brian at the time he was supposed to be here. After we got that rescheduled Brian did come and give us the estimate. We scheduled the work and shortly after that they called to reschedule that too. So we rescheduled and on the day they were supposed to arrive and do the job, no one shows. I called them after waiting for 2 hours and was told that someone was supposed to have called me that morning to reschedule. Unbelievable! No respect! I only gave them one star for the job Brian did. Otherwise it would be 0.
I would definitely recommend Underhome Armor for installation of tie downs and longitudinal supports. They were on time and the crew was friendly. They made the whole process easy from start to finish I'll be calling them again if I need anything else done underneath my home!
Under home armour is not to be confused with Florida anchor in barrier company
Under home armour is not to be confused with Florida anchor in barrier company. The salesman that came out from under home armour called all around the underside of my manufactured home took a beautiful video and showed me exactly what was going on.
I was given a price to do a job and was satisfied with what I was told that's compared with others. They showed up on the day that was promised with a crew of approximately 6 i t was obvious that they knew what they were doing as they did not have to Verbally communicate with each other. They discovered a leak in on my showers left that area open and advised that they would come back when I had The leak repaired.
They came back within 2 days and completed the work as well as other work that was not in the contract at no charge.
I would highly recommend this company if you need some paper barrier work done in your manufactured home. Danny is very easy to communicate with accommodate.

We had a fellow come out last week on Tuesday to give us a free estimate
We had a fellow come out last week on Tuesday to give us a free estimate. He was not under our home long and came back with two areas where the insulation was falling out and where there was mold present. I was going to compare these pictures with others that had been taken because they looked so different. The technician said that he would send the pictures to me immediately via email from his phone. I did not receive the pictures that day and I called to let them know. Also when the tech was here I had additional questions for him regarding costs and he said that he doesn't handle any of that to call the shop for questions. I called the shop and the girl told me that I would have to talk to the technician. I also told them that I need the picture still since I have not received them to show my husband. It's Monday seven days later today and still no pictures. On a voicemail I was told that their computers were down. I do not believe that their computers were down for seven days. Somethings seems like it's not on the up and up with this company due to the lack of communication. I also still don't have the pictures and I'm wondering if they were even legitimate photos from underneath our manufactured home. Through my communications via text with this company I have come to the conclusion that they are not very professional and they have no intentions of sending me the so-called pictures that were taken of underneath the home. If I'm going to pay over $4000 for a new barrier or have certain sections repaired for over 1000 at the very least, the company can get me the pictures when they say they're going to. It all smells fishy to me and I don't like the miscommunication or unprofessionalism I received so I will never do business with this company.

They smashed the tiles with hammers, making lots of big holes in the backer board
They smashed the tiles with hammers, making lots of big holes in the backer board. Then they put down five boxes of vinyl plank flooring that I gave them, even though the backer board still had thin set/mastic on it and all the holes. They started putting down some tiles that were meant for a different room and not available anymore. They messed up some of the edges of the tiles trying to make them flat on an uneven surface. Later, when they stepped on the tiles, a couple of them cracked because of the holes in the backer board underneath. There's still 81 square feet of porcelain tile that they didn't touch. They messed up some of the trim work and the kitchen transition strip. They did some work on the sub floor, but it's not level or even. They admitted that one of the guys cut something the wrong size but installed it anyway. They said they'd come back to fix it, but honestly, they're so bad at this that I don't want them to come back. Anyone who knows anything about flooring knows that you can't put new flooring on top of a surface that's uneven and full of holes.
