Close current account
Visited ocbc at paya lebar square to close current account on 12/10/23. Waited nearly 1 hr but walked away as too late to wait for a simple transaction.
Came back today 13/10/2311.48am. Given queue no for personal banking. Asked if I can hv counter service & was told under personal banking. Waited more 30 mins but still not attended to. I reiterated that i just wanted to close acct only; this time given counter service queue number which was faster service.
Could hv done it right from the start instead I had to waste so much time over 2 days.
Not acceptable from a big Spore acct!

PAUL at OCBC AMK is rude and attitude
The incident happened at OCBC Amk Hub at 3.40pm. The OCBC staff Paul is very rude and attitude. I don’t feel comfortable and make lost confident to visit continue be OCBC customer. I already queueing for more then 20mins infront of big ATM machine to withdraw $5k from company account at one go, because the small ATM machine only limited to withdraw $1k every time. The staff Paul is very rude and said that I can’t queue there.

Opening saving account
I am OCBC customer I have houseloan account, previous bank loan account and I intend to open an saving account today. I reached at about 5.15pm, but the bank officer turn me down. He said the bank is now closed. I asked him what is the official time closed, he said 6pm. I told him it is not even 5.30pm why can't I? Reason given was that there are many people and the manager have instructed not to take anymore customer. I told him and pleaded I just need to open an account and it is very important. I also rush through the rain just to be on time. My reason was not excepted even the bank officer went to the manager.
I told him is this a SOP for OCBC bank to turn down customer? Everyone looked at me. This is my first entire bad experience with OCBC staff. The staff told me that there is an online application but I told him I am not good to do it unless there is officer can assist me. I also noticed there are bank officers that just sat on the table and not engaged with customer. ( not the front line counter)
bad experience using Duit now OCBC to reload Touch n Go

I would like to complaint about the DuitNow service under OCBC bank reload for Touch n Go. The whole process is ineffective with Duitnow and time consuming.
For example, user need to keep access to DuitNow first rather than directly log into the bank system to get the reload to be done.
Hope the banking system will improvise their own system and stop using DuitNow service(outsource provider). It will be more useful to user and less headache without using the outsource service.

A single 70 usd$ transaction took 15days, how fast is this service!
We' re now living in 2023, its almost digital world, from kids to elders, they are all literate about personalis e banking/ digital banking services at our fingertips. My client, Aspiration Imagine Services Global have branches around the globe. I am a Network engineer who live in sri lanka, which has one of the jaw dropping inflation rates nearly 400% since april 2022. I did a hardware installation on 2nd and 3rd march on 2023 in colombo "State bank of India-colombo branch". Client company Aspirations Imagine agreed upon 70USD$ to complete job.i have done it and send all the reports to company before 14th March. Client company aspirations sent me a transaction id for a payment of 70USD$ on 28th march 17.55pm.
I still waiting for that payment to arrive in here sri lanka. Client said OCBC have outward remittance policy for reviewing and approving for remittance. So ocbc has asked a invoice proof for this payment to approve. Client and me gave necessary details regarding the job. Bank Manager (emerging business) 😁Mr. David Koh, informed me on 10th april, that they are processing the payment before 10th day end.
Me and my client inquired several times via over the phone and in writing regarding what it took so long. OCBC manager Mr. David failed to provide a reasonable answer for the delay that was caused by their end. Today 14th of april 2023. Still OCBC Singapore unable to process the payment or give a reasonable explanation why is it took so much time to do a simple 70usd$ money transfer from OCBC bank Singapore to Commercial Bank sri lanka. Typically standard money transfer arrive with in several hours after the payment confirmation.
As longest as possible route will takes 3 to 5 business days to transfer payment via intermediary bank of JP MORGAN CHASE -New York USA.
I must say this kind of Banking services like OCBC can survive in banking industry on this digitally enabled world with such negligence, irresponsible manner for a simple payment transaction. I must point out the possible outcome for the prospecting customers and existing users how much damage can happen to your business with this kind of atone age banking service. I believe the worst is yet to come.
Desired outcome: I would like to complete my payment transaction process asap and will get an answer, why is this simple small transaction taking so long?
Queue number and jumping q on missing number.
Today 8/4/2023- taken a Q# at Jem branch for acct closing at 12pm with Q ticket clearly mention 5 nos ahead. While waiting, can see that the service counter Q# never move as the 2 counter been serving those miss Q number. The missing Q number can serve up to 20# before meaning that those ppl basically went always for a gd coffee or lunch more than an hrs and once back to the bank, they will be serve immediately. Do note, I am holding #2049 and screen are showing 2038 yet Q# never move as counter are serving 2017, 2023, 2027 and all those miss number without any limit(note: bank teller calling those miss # without showing the # in calling system). With this kind of system, I will walk out the bank after getting a Q# and enjoying my lunch and get serve immediately after return in future visit. in conclusion, stupid system to issue # with no controls and wasted all those customers time in waiting patiently in the bank. It very unfair to those customers that waited. With Q ticket showing 5 pax ahead, I waited for almost 80 mins.
Desired outcome: Should limit miss #, how can a customer miss 20# and still be serve. He should rejoin the Q. The bank can simply sent alert in sms or state clearly that anyone missing 3 # will need to rejoin.
Service and responsibilities of officer
We have intended to open a joint account me and my daughter in your bank OCBC at Jurong point beach on 25th January 2023. I am an existing customer of OCBC for more than 20 years. I never come across to submit such statements that OCBC bank officer Mr Nigel Oon did ask me to do. He asked me to declare my profession at [protected] as I was a student of a university, (what for?), than 1994 to on wards my profession, company, income, after he asked me sign this statement and submit to the bank to open this joint savings account. I did open join account in ocbc bank before.
I asked why he need it, he told me there is required as terms and conditions but he was not able to show me this terms and conditions.
His attitude was not so good and not given me proper answers, so I canceled my request to open an account and left the bank. I suspect he was getting some information that relates my SingPass account questioneries.
I request you to check this officer, He may involve anything or not.

Opening bank account
The OCBC at Compass One Branch is poor in making arrangements and assisting with customers' enquiries. The bank allocates queue number for opening of bank account together with those placing fixed time deposits and making investments/ endowment plans. There is a long queue of 18 pax before me and every customer takes more than 20minutes. In particular, when the customer service officer needs to go through the policy plans and signing of documents with the customer, it may stretch to 30 minutes and beyond. The queue number was issued at 12.08pm and as at 1.55pm, I still haven't reach my turn to open a bank account. When I approached the counter staff, I was told that they don't assist with opening of bank account at the counter. Terrible service.
Desired outcome: To allow opening of bank account as part of counter service.
Fixed deposit withdrawal
Hi, I am feeling fluctuation and handle the user unfriendly features when I wanted to make a change in my fixed deposit in my OCBC account. When I log into internet banking to submit a change in my fixed deposit term account. It appears they will response me within 5 working days. However, it wasn't the case after few times of submission. No news and no response. Why I can't change my fixed deposit through own banking features. I have been doing such changes in other banking facilities and very easy and straightforward. No problem to me. At minimum, if OCBC is tooo busy, at least courtesy to drop me an email instead of ignoring my request. Hope I can hear from OcBC asap, else I will try to find another avenue to log in a complaint.

Completely disappointed in their slow response and ignorance for not replying to any of the settlement proposals and they greed for more. it is really disgrace how they present themselves helpful and understanding. For almost one year plus, I have been trying to settle the problem with OCBC and till to-date the matter is not resolved instead my interests' amount and etc is increasing due to the ignorance and failure to reply to my proposal.
For the past one year plus, the officers in charge have been changed few times and/or goes on leave. I have written to them many times but not a single reply from them. They only call me for payment and higher repayment. They send me legal letter to settle the amount. I still made my proposal to their lawyers but there was no reply from OCBC or their lawyer till to date. Since covid started I am struggling and trying to make end meets. This is mentally and physically stressing me. I have no issues with other banks and manage to come to an agreement. OCBC is the only bank is not willing to settle the issues. OCBC asked me sent them breakdown of my expenses and documents to show that I have going through hardships. I believe I have paid off my principal sums and I have not used the credit card and the easi credit account for more than five years, but I have been paying them promptly every month. It is really upsetting that they want more and more and even asked whether anyone can help with the payments. I am trying to settle my debts and so I can stress free for the sake of my family.
I reserve all my all legal rights on this matter, I do not wish to incur any interests and legal fees and etc, for the banks' ignorance and late replies concerning this matter.
Desired outcome: I would like to close my accounts completely and I want to give me in writing that I have fully settled the debts. I should not even be reasonable for the interests for any late payments incurred so far.
No Update of Unsuccessful Bank Transfer
I did a company fund transfer to my supplier on 7 Sep 2022. However, we realised that we missed out the Beneficiary Name and submitted an amendment form on 8 Sep 2022. On 19 Sep 2022 I received a phone call from the bank telling that the amendment form was sent out on 16 Sep 2022. However until today (28 Sep 2022),my beneficiary have not received the funds and also checked with their bank. Have called OCBC bank multiple times but always say will check and get back to me. Until now still no news. Asked them for MT103 form they say for this amendment don't have. Its been 8 working days now and my beneficiary need the funds to start the work. Very very disappointed with their customer service. Totally sucks.
Desired outcome: OCBC Bank still haven't get back to me after 8 working days.
Transfer of funds on 9/6/22
Transfered money but recipient did not received.
The msg was unsuccessful transaction as timed out. So I kept transferring and only later on it reflected that it had been debited 9x from my account as each time I tried - I had the same message it was an unsuccessful transaction.
Called ocbc and was told they can’t they are not able to confirm when can I get back my money and that they are not sure where the funds is.
Desired outcome: Please refund me my money by tomorrow and not take 10 business days to do so as mentioned.
Credit card rip off
OCBC claimed that they will waive off my late charges. They updated the online banking platform under what I owe as 0. 3 months later they called me and say that i have accumulated a few months of late charges and just deduct the amount from my deposit account without even informing me. The amount deducted was way more than the actual charges after they lied to me. This is a total rip off from their customer. Everyone should be aware not to open an account with OCBC as they will just deduct your deposit account without informing you.
Desired outcome: I expect a full refund.
Mobile Banking Security Nightmare
Ongoing Issues. I'm living overseas need to access my bank account, however the security requirements and bank policy makes this simple task overly complicated. 1. Token battery died, new token received then lost. 2. OneToken requested, finally received and activated. 3. Can access account and make transactions, however need to wait 24hrs to make International transfer. Why? 4. 24hrs elapsed, attempted to login to Mobile App, and requested to enter OTP. 5. SMS for OTP not sent/received to international mobile number. Is all this security really necessary? Seems that OneToken is made redundant by the need to also use OTP.
Desired outcome: Access to my bank account - By Mobile App preferred.

OCBC sent me a plus credit card one year plus ago, which I successfully apply to credit card after I clear all my outstanding last time
A few month ago I tried to purchase item using the card but it keep prompting the card cannot be use, so I call the bank and the bank told me that the card cannot be use due to suspend account.
Today I receive a statement saying that my account been block due to there is outstanding amount. I was puzzle on since I cannot use the card and my account is suspended how come there is charges and request me to pay immediately.
As just recently there is scam in OCBC bank, my immediately though is what is happening and is there any scam happen again
I call the bank and was told that it a annual fees charge. I am very puzzle.
1) Since the card is not active due to suspend account. how come there is a background charge of annual fees to the card?
2) If we did not look at the mail than the late charge and interest charge will be snowball and become more and more?
3) This action may lead to customer immediately thinking whether account have been hack and whether there is scam again
Please look into this.
