I purchased my camper van from Optimum RV in Ocala 11/18/23 and am still waiting for them to finish work they put down in writing they would perform. I took delivery of my van to discover a crack in the water tank and electrical problems once I had it home. This was my 1st RV purchase and I can only assume that the van must have been plugged in and hooked to water during my walk through inspection. They had installed solar panels as part of the sales agreement - I currently have a technician analyzing why they are not working. I am a disabled female veteran and have never felt so disrespected during a financial transaction in my life. The general manager (Scott) assured me the work would be done - it's been 2.5 months and I've yet to use the van for what it was intended to be used for. They simply tell me that the part (a screen package they advertised was already on the van prior to my even seeing it) is difficult to locate or their supply is backed up.
I would NOT recommend doing business with this dealership.
Claimed loss: I paid the dealership $84,024.00 including the warranty and all other additional fees.
Desired outcome: I want the dealership to install the Roadtrek full screen package NLT Feb 15th or pay me $2,500. I will then take the money, order the screens myself and pay someone else to install them.
