Pacific Home Remodeling they don't honor their warranty, pure bs

I have tried to have some repairs done to our home which is covered under this BS warranty. They try to come up with any excuse why it is not covered.
Been trying for 6months to get this taken care of, I spent a lot of monies for the tex-cote job, and they can't spend $100 to repair it.
I call and promised a call back and does not happen. I have already had a rep from Tex-cote come and inspect. and he told us should be covered.

If anyone wants to keep their sanity, don't use them. Sure they will give you a nice warranty certificate, but it is not worth anything. What happened to great customer service. They don't know what that means.

Pacific Home Remodeling Bad service

Pacific Home Remodeling uses high pressure sales tactics that did nothing but convince me that this company I would NEVER work with.

We were offered a free estimate for a solar power system and told the price would be good for 18 months. After sitting through a 2-1/2 hour sales pitch, my husband and I were given no written quote and not even a business card. The price we were given verbally seemed surprisingly high. When we said we had to give the proposal some thought, the sales rep continued to pressure us to sign a contract on the spot. First alarm bell rings...

Five minutes later, the sales rep returns to our door and says they can lower the price around 10%. Second alarm bell rings...

A day or two later, we get a call from "the district manager" who says he wants to meet with us to give us a better price, which will be good for one year. My husband agrees to the meeting, making it very clear once again that we will not make any decisions at the meeting. At the appointed time, a different sales rep shows up; not any type of manager. He was not prepared to give us any written quote but does give us a verbal estimate that was $4000 OVER the original estimate. He was shown to the door quickly.

These are exactly the kind of sales tactics that leave a bad taste in my mouth. I would never trust a company with this approach to ever live up to any promise, and they will never work on my property!

We signed a contract for having stucco put on our home. We were told that the company does not sub-contract and had their own workers for each type of renavation. A guy came to our house several days later to "Check on what was needed for the job", He measured and made a few notes. He informed me that his people could not do the job for the amount of money quoted. Over the next few days a couple other guys came by and measured and once again said that they could not do the job for the amount we have quoted on the contract. Gee, it sure sounds like sub-contracting to me. Several weeks had past since the contract was signed and I called the office and asked when they would be starting the stucco work since it had been promised to be started within a week of signing the contract. They told me a manager would be coming over to my house to talk to me. Manager shows up and says he would need another over six thousand more to do the job. I said we have a signed contract and there will be no more money. They had already cashed my down payment check. He asked me to sign a cancellation form and I said no, just do the work as promised in the contract. He got pushy at which time my husband stepped to the door and told him to get off the property. I will take this breach off contract to court. Beware, and do not do business with this company.

They will not stop calling me, even though I've asked them to stop. They came out to my house to give a long presentation and then came out a second time to give me a quote. I didn't like their sales techniques and told them that I was going with another company. That was back in December, and they've called me every month since then--and it's now July!

Pacific Home Remodeling Rip-off artists

I worked for PHR for a substantial amount of time. I regret every day that I did, and every sale that I made. The ENTIRE pitch is a lie. The warranty is complete BS. There is no relationship with Costco. They retrofit their windows. They don't cover condensation. They DO subcontract all the work. Their prices are WAY higher than anybody else. I'm sorry if you already have a contract signed with them. If it has been within three days then cancel it. Even if it is after three days, still cancel. The headache will be far worse then actually giving them the business. They LIE, LIE, LIE, to get a sale. If you said no to their sales reps, get ready, someone will be knocking on your door tomorrow. This is way to typical for this company. Makes my stomach turn. Once again, I worked for Pacific Home Remodeling.

By the way this house is no mansion! $36, 0000 for a roof? I bet he tol a Rancho Santa Fe homeowner it would cost them like $100, 000 or more for a roof .

Wow had a sales Guy in my neighborhood on north county coast area. The guy at door talks on and on. Sets up appt. sales guy came out next day. Tried to fast talk his way into selling us a $36, 000 roof with financing- solar, gov tax write off etcc . Gonna make our house "the model" in the neighborhood for roofing. Uh but
We cannot tell neighbors the price?! Oh but they will give us a great deal! They will take care of us! They have a product from a fortune 500 corp. tha is supposed to impress me?! Oh but then he slashes the price to approx $25k...talks on and on never takes a breath to let customer ask one question!
Also asks "personal" questions! Asks who lives here and says oh well u want to pass on the house to your daughters some day...blah blah blah. Just assumes! And assumes we will pay very high price for their "so-called" high quality product. Won't get ripped off like other customers do from other companies! Right!'
Lol. Then even assumes we would want a roof that lasts really long like for as long as we are alive and does not get that house might be sold so retiree can use money to live off of and buy smaller place. No,
This guy tries to figure u out so he can "sell" u on his lies! I hate liars! Especially sales liars!
He also lied that he did not speak to our neighbor (who we share a roof with. This guy was outside talking to neighbor BEFORE he came to appt with us. We did not know. And neighbor is not interested in this co at all! He knew they were gas talking roofin sales scammers!
We got rid of the guy when we told him we aren't doing any roof for a month or 2 from now and we are doing WITH our neighbor!
Funny, we kept satin we got to talk to the neighbor about this and he never revealed that he was LATE to spot with us because he caught neighbor in driveway first! Now did he think we would not find this out. Pretty shady isn't it! So he is sitting there in our house and never reveals he just spoke with neighbor and he is not interested. In fact, he came in here acting a little weird at first, it was real obvious. So basically he was deflated from not getting neighbor on board and knew he had to sell is a roof for our side only.
That's when he starts saying "well we are gonna take care u and will make your house the model" um no offense but I personally would no want that! Now why would I want a bunch of strangers t
Knocking on my door to tell me the sales guy said to check out our roof blah blah. What price did we get and if we are satisfied?!
The model spiel is a really slick sales tactic go hand to him. He thinks he can outsmart me!? I can smell a fraud and a phony right away. I was way to nice because my family member made the appt and is a little too nice. And naive! So I was stuck with this sales shark. But got rid of him because he knew my family member won't sign squat! Without researching thru me and other and online! Lol. He really thought he was gonna get out roof alone.
Last
But not least, he says people from Del Mar, Ranch Santa Fe and La Jolla ...just aren't good to go look for business for him. I said why is that?
His reply " they act real entitled." can I believe that crap!?! I will say those people are really smart and knows it! That is really the reason. So he assumes people who own OLDER home and who have lived in area long time are easier to sell to obviously! Wrong! How date he put people down for seeing right thru his scam! [censor]!

I can't believe they are still in business. People need to have a second or even a third opinion ALWAYS if they are unsure of the pricing of the product they are buying. I was given a sales pitch by this company a few years ago and they quoted me over $10, 000 dollars for three windows and a sliding glass door. I'm sure after they lose complete consumer confidence and shut their doors the owners will be laughing at all of the people they ripped off. What goes around comes around though. KARMA, KARMA, KARMA!

Pacific Home Remodeling Satisfied Customer!

Actual Customer Letter, February 17, 2010:

"Dear Sirs,

I am writing to express my satisfaction fora job recently done by your company on my house on Antiem Street in San Diego.

Following a visit by one of your representatives (I only remember his first name, Curtis), I decided to hear more about your products and services and accepted an appointment for a free estimate.

The next day, Kaine Kornegay and Patrick Kubiak came to my house and we discussed replacing five of the original windows (which dated back to the 1950's) with double pane ones.

I was pleased to reach an agreement with Kaine and Patrick.

The windows were manufactured and arrived earlier than I anticipated, and were installed on February 12, 2010.

I am extremely satisfied with the windows and the manner this job was done.

I was interested in improvements to the thermal insulation and noise levels inside the house. The outside aesthetic appearance was not hte major element in my decision but as it turns out, that has improved too.

My sincere thanks to all your employees and representatives for their courtesy and professionalism.

Sincerely,
Francois Gohier"

Pacific Home Remodeling Harassing phone calls

What a nightmare! I gave Pacific Home Remodeling my name and number to receive some further product information, while at a show. For months I have received phone calls. I am now being harassed by their sales team several times a day for the past 2 weeks. I have gone as far as to speak to several different managers asking them to remove me from their list. As a last resort I finally threatened to sue them for the harassing phone calls and do you know what their response was!?!? The sales person told me to "Go ahead. Sue us." and then he hung up on me. Great company huh? Why would anyone trust their home remodeling to a company with a such obvious disrespect for their "prospective" clientele. I wonder how they treat the poor souls who actually have become customers.
DON'T EVER SUBJECT YOURSELF TO HELL I AM IN BY ALLOWING A PACIFIC HOME REMODELING SALES PERSON TO GET A HOLD OF YOUR INFORMATION!

After agreeing too have a solar system installed by SolarCity I was contacted by Pacific Home Remodeling for the roof repair work, which I knew needed and had to be done. I agreed to have the roof done. They started several days later than what I was originally told which ended up requiring much plastic to cover the roof because of rain and high winds that was coming. Please the complaint I filed with my concierge at SolarCity and the BBB. I also called Pacific Home Remodeling and voiced my complaints.

Joshua,
I do not how much, if any, influence you have over the contractor (Pacific Home Remodeling) that did our roof. I'm not happy! In fact I'm pissed.
There is rotten wood in a couple places that the roofer, Rodrigo (sp?) promised he would replace. The roofing was completed but the rotten wood I pointed out to him was not replaced. He told me he would come back Saturday 19th to do it after they completed the clean-up. The wood was not replace and told my wife he would come back on Monday 21st to do it. It still has not been done. He would not give us his number so we could call him.
While Rodrigo was cleaning up, a neighbor asked about our roof and our neighbor was told our roof was a 10 year roof when the contract says it is supposed to be a 50 year roof. Someone is lying.
During the roofing process, our rain gutters were displaced in several places and damaged in one other place. Rodrigo said he would take care of it when he replaced the rotten wood. I have not seen or heard from Rodrigo since after noon of December 18, 2015.
I called Pacific Home Remodeling to voice my complaints and concerns. I input the extension for Keisha (sp?) Who is the concierge for Pacific Home remodeling I was assigned. I got the voice mail of some other gentleman but still I voiced my concerns and complaint. I have yet to hear from them. They have not returned my calls.
It is my understanding that Pacific Home Remodeling was referred/ sent to us by SolarCity. IF this is the kind dishonest, lying people/ company you send to us and do work in (your behalf), I want nothing to do with you (SolarCity). Until my complaints are taken care of and answered, I want to put a hold on SolarCity installation. I will not recommend SolarCity or Pacific Home Remodeling to anyone UNTIL my concerns and complaints are taken care of.
I am in the process of filing copies of this letter with the Better Business Bureau and the city of Norwalk.

I have tex-cote and I 'm satisfied w/the way it turned out. However, my major complaint is the paint doesn't work on wood. The paint molecules are large so the wood can't absorb the paint into its pores. So the paint basically just covers the wood like a plastic film. I experienced bubbling and cracking less than a year after the paint was applied. It took me over 6 months to get the company to come out to my home. Three months after re-epoxy and painting the frames it started cracking again. After the same run around I filed a complaint with the BBB, only then did they come out to inspect the frames only. They tried to blame the new retro-fitted windows, stating the installers caused the problem. That's when I reminded them that when their salesperson came to my house I specifically addressed the cracking wood window frames and my plans to change the windows. He stated it was not a problem as long as the windows are retrofitted and they could install the windows when I decide to proceed. He promised me they had an epoxy type wood filled that would seal the cracks and would be stronger than the original wood, so I wouldn't have to change the frames, don't believe them. The wood frames continued to crack and so they blamed tried to blame the wood. Then they threatened to void the lifetime warranty if I tried to resolve the problem with another contractor. So after three years the wood frames developed wood rot so I had to have all the window frames removed and stucco applied. Now I need to have the new stucco painted but I was told that would void my warranty unless I used tex-cote a.k.a Pacific Home Remodeling Company. Customer service is not their strong point. What's the point of having a lifetime warranty if you can't get service? Plus they try to void your warranty if you don't use their company on any remodeling you do b/c they can't vouch for other contractor's work(understandable). So your basically held prisoner by the company for any future home improvement projects. Be very weary of any company using tex-cote paint. The large companies that have the product which they use as a sales tactic can afford the exorbitant cost(5X over regular paint job), plus they have the legal means to fight the threats of voiding they warranty. In my opinion, they have you over a barrel, I have found the staff arrogant and rude whenever you have issues with they product. I found many complaints nationally, the common complaints are rude and excessive sales tactics, paint peeling and bubbling(including homes with siding), Beware it may not be a scam but they deny these complaints adamantly and try to do everything but honor the warranty unless you have a lawyer .

This company was at a home show I had gone to and I received a free estimate on windows. After the sales person gave me the long sales pitch we got down to the prices. I live in a condo and wanted to replace three standard bedroom windows and a sliding glass door. The estimate they gave me was an unbelievable $10, 000. After the shock the salesperson recalculated to pretend to get me a better deal. The next estimate was $9, 000. I told him I was not interested. A few days past and I received a follow up call from someone who was in charge and I told him the price the salesperson quoted me. He pretended to be surprised and said the salesperson doesn't know what he's talking about. I caught on pretty quickly that this was a complete scam. I asked them to put me on there company do not call list after several unwanted calls and mentioned I was not interested in there service. A few years passed and I did not receive any calls until a few weeks ago. Twice I told the salespeople I want to be taken out of their database. Still I continue to get calls. Next step I will take is to report them to the National Do Not Call Registry. If you are getting these phone calls ask for the 800 number and complain about the calls. The salespeople don't do anything about your number being taken out of the database. They only say, " I'll make a note of that" and that note will probably be thrown in the trash at the end of the day.

This company is a continuation of the movie "Tin Men." The owner Eric is a dishonored Christian with no ethics, although he claims to be born again. He specializes in hiring ex-convicts because no decent, honest salesman will work for him because of his policies to "screw the customer at all costs." The turn over of salesman and telemarketers is frequent because he treats them as dogs. There is a special place in Hell reserved for businessman/ scam artists as Eric.

I continue to be amazed at the DIS-INFORMATION and WRONG information I find here. I did my own research too...and most of you are wrong.
1. Pacific Home Remodeling and Pacific Coast Home Solutions are NOT the same company. Look up the business licenses, the addresses the phone numbers, none cross reference! These ARE two different companies. PHR is located in LA on Washington Blvd. Pacific Coast Home Solutions is located in Anaheim on E. La Palma Blvd.

2. Greg GG says "Hopefully I'll get a big lump of cash when they violate the registry so I can give it back to the elderly lady in San Diego that was ripped off by these people"...then he gives a link to the story in San Diego. READ IT. Pacific Coast IS NOT the company in the story! It's Pacific Home REMODELING. Pacific Coast Home Solutions does not do second mortgages or attach anything to your home. We use a separate UNSECURED line of credit from GE or Wells Fargo for your use.

As for the post about poor old TEX Cote being a scam...well go to their website and contact the owner. Tell him his family owned company is a scam. Family owned and operated since 1961.Tell the airports that use it, its a scam. Tell KOHLS department stores it's a rip off. Tell the Kennedy Space Center Propellant Building in Florida it's all fake...don't trust me, check out the tex cote website and see the gallery of commercial applications...But don't tell OFFICE DEPOT that their worldwide HQ is covered in SCAM stuff...I bet they'll be mad huh? Santa Clara University with all their brainiacs decided on TEX COTE, but I'm sure who ever left the post here saying its all a rip off must be right huh? I don't mean to be smart, but I'm trying to make a point. Think maybe the guy telling you Tex Cote is a scam is maybe a painter or sells paint? THAT you have to redo every what...5 years or so? TexCote is guaranteed to last the life of your home!
Will any paint company do that? So how is that a rip off. Seems paint is the rip off.

Finally in all seriousness...would you believe the the home improvement industry is very competitive? Would you believe competitors, fired employees and such will leave negative things on websites to scare you off? Think we're some CHUCK IN A TRUCK scammers?...Well, I invite you to come to our Corporate Offices located at 4155 E. La Palma Ave in Anaheim Ca...Suite 500 and voice your concerns. Tour our facility, meet our people and after you leave, please have the honesty to re-post your new findings.
Getting repeat calls? Let us know. We'll take you off the list. That doesn't mean our autodialer might not call you again if we purchase another list that has you on there. But if we do, we'll take you off that one too. If you get a call and get hung up on, it's the autodialer checking through thousands of numbers we purchase to see if they are good. Unfortunately about 45% of most lists you buy are bad numbers, disconnected, people have moved or died...so instead of hiring someone to dial bad numbers all day...(we want our telemarketing people calling real live homeowners) we use the autodialer. After you answer "hello"...it logs that as a good number and forwards it to the call center.

We're not malicious crooks with drug addicts running around our offices. How could we stay in business for over 15 years doing that? Come, visit us in Anaheim. Meet us, ask us questions, field your complaints or just take the tour. But in the meantime check out these websites. http://www.pacificcoasthomesolutions.com/about-us/index.php
Approved by the League of Ca Homeowners----Approved A rating BBB-----Four and Five Stars on Trust Link, Google and Yellow Pages.com. Scammers don't have these kinds of ratings. Do you think we got to be #99 in the USA by doing poor work? (Top Remodeler Magazine 2011)

In closing, if we've driven you crazy with calls, please accept our apology. If we can do anything to show you who we are and what kind of quality work we do, please let us know (references, past customers, photos) Write us a note, email us or come by.
Or heck, call us and we'll even come to you...at no charge! :)
Thanks--The Staff at PCHS-Anaheim CA

Not only to they harrass an potential customers they train their sales people to hard sell and overquote, but when the sale is actually completed and the product or service has been installed and paid for, Pacific Home Solutions frequently rips off their own representatives by failing to pay all or part of the commission the agent earned with the sale. As they don't pay their field salespeople a salary and the sales people must pay for their own transportation and costs, Pacific Home Solutions can just continually bring on new sales people, let them make sales for which Pacific Home Solutions collects payment, not pay the sales commission to the person who made the sale, put the sales person off when they ask about their money, and then simply replace the salesperson with another dupe, driving the first one off. Repeat cycle.
All former sales representatives of this company should get together, together there is more strength and easier to prove damages in legal action.

Folks,
Thank you all for taking the time to write these reviews. We just received a call out here in Riverside County, Ca for the same service. Thankfully, I have an investigation and security background so I asked them the correct questions. They were wary of restating their company name and the two reps were anxious not to give a prospective client their names. The stated name was Pacific Coast Home Solutions. The rep names were "Jim Martinez" and "Johnny Mora". Were they legitimate names? The old company name was Pacific Home Remodeling. I Googled their website and it looks like any other company website, so don't be fooled. Do not confirm your own names, phone numbers or addresses with them until you can review their website, a complaints board or BBB file. This country is loaded with scam artists like ticks on a feral dog. The Depression Zombies are out there and they take even a seemly reputable form.
Live long and prosper, but beware the blood suckers.

A few years ago they did the whole drawn out sales pitch and quoted me an outrageous price as well for windows. I asked them to stop calling me then but now they started to call constantly again. I asked several times to stop. Today I received a call and asked the salesperson on the phone to take my phone number out of the database. After that I called back and they picked up but did not respond after saying "Hello" several times. So I listened in on the salespersons conversation with another customer. I could also hear another salespersons conversation. They were saying the same BS to others on the phone about how they couldn't believe the quote the salesperson gave. One said, " He quoted you what Price", pretending like he was shocked. I think all of these salespeople on the phone pretend to be Managers when following up on a unsuccessful Home sale consultation. I filed a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry. Hopefully I'll get a big lump of cash when they violate the registry so I can give it back to the elderly lady in San Diego that was ripped off by these people. Pacific Home Solutions

Log of Contact

I was hoping I wasn’t going to have to keep track like this, but after today (see 4.17.11) entry below), I thought I should alert people, and follow through with updates as needed.

4.13.11 Call from PHS. I agreed to having their sales person come the next day.
4.14.11 Sales agent arrived on time. Spent over one hour explaining windows and costs. I agreed to sign the contract only because there was a clear cancellation sheet. I foolishly fell for the "sign now because this offer isn't going to last!" hard sell. My bad.
4.14.11 After thinking it through, I called the sales agent and canceled on the phone, telling him I would send in the cancellation the next day.
4.15.11 9AM Sent cancellation via registered mail from Lincoln Heights Post Office.
4.17.11 Someone from PHS (wearing t-shirt w/ logo) showed up at 11:40 AM w/ no prior notice stating they are here to measure windows. I told him I had sent in the cancellation notice and he thanked me and left.

I will update this as needed.
