service at livermore panera drive thru
I went to Panera Bread in Livermore, Ca on May 8th after school at around 730pm. I ordered a strawberry smoothie and mac and cheese. I have to say I'm extremely upset because the smoothie was terrible and tasted different than it usually does and they hardly filled up my bowl with any mac and cheese. It was maybe a quarter full. I have been to Panera many times and have never had an issue. I want to be refunded my money.
new tipping question
I am very uncomfortable with the new "tipping" question when I'm checking out. I am basically tipping them for standing in one spot and taking my order. Even if the tips are distributed among all the employees, I still don't feel that it is warranted. Around the country, this type of restaurant doesn't usually "require" tipping. A beginning step would have been a tipping "jar". When the cashier is standing there and I get to that question about the tip, I feel so uncomfortable that I wish I had chosen a different restaurant.
a very nasty restaurant w/ excuses... kenwood panera cincinnati, oh.
After ordering my food from the restaurant I love I decided to watch my sandwich being made and that's when I saw it, nothing but a mess on the station where my sandwich was being prepared and on the floor everywhere... the staff told me they had a rush but i've worked in the food industry and you don't want your restaurant ever lookin like a cess-pool of diseases... never visit kenwood panera cincinnati, oh.
strawberry poppyseed salad
I was excited to see my favorite salad was back on the menu albeit, more expensive. I ordered it without chicken because I cant eat it, so ordered extra pecans. I ordered 2 one for me and one for my friend. The salads took quite awhile, and came with chicken. I looked good enough with lots of fruit and nuts, but cant eat chicken so I sent it back. My friend kept hers because of the wait she was starving so she picked her chicken off. I cant miss taking off so sent mine back. Got mine back less the chicken and pretty much everything else. I pretty much had a ten dollar salad with 5 halves of pecans and the same amount of fruit. What a rip. I told them so. The best they could do was give me about 8 more pincky pcs of pecans. They also forgot to give me my bagette.Although I am a regular and love the poppyseed salad that I wait for, I wont be returning
service
05/05/17- Panera on Bethel Road in Columbus, OH. Tried to get a bread bowl and soup. Heard them shout that they were out of bread bowls. Waited patiently for someone to let me know that they didn't have any or maybe I got mine before they ran out. 13 minutes later I get up to see what's taking so long. As I'm walking I hear my name being called. Oh were out of bread bowls would you like a bowl of soup and an extra apple? Um no when does an apple equal a bread bowl? So I asked for my money back and I would like a bagel with cream cheese. Manager comes out to give me my money back and when she finishes I say "Can I get a bagel with cream cheese?" She replied "NO". I gave you your money back for the soup and she walked in the back. I told my friend that was with me what happened and she got mad and said she was going to tell her how inappropriately she handled the situation. The manager claimed she thought the person who told me about the bread bowl promised me a free bagel, because I said My bagel. I said a bagel. How can you explain what you want to someone who walks away. She said I can get you one now. No thanks! I will never be going back to any Panera. I was never once told that they were sorry for my inconvenience. And half the coffee pots were empty. This was at around 4 p.m. the place was not busy either.
turkey with carmelized khale panini
On 5/5/2017 I got a sandwich at the Woodstock location in roswell Georgia and that was the turkey and carmelized khale and it was horrible. Inside the bread was poorly made and the bread wasn't even toasted. I had chunks of khale in the sandwich and I didn't finish the first half. I paid $10.37 for a sandwich that I didn't even finish. It's really sad that if Panera has this great reputation but rushes through making sandwiches then why should I waste my money?
hardly any chicken in sandwich
I got a chicken sandwich, frontega pocaccia, at the sandusky, ohio, panera bread, on 4/25/17 for $5.99. I am still looking for the chicken. I am including pictures. I couldn't believe it. If I pay $5.99 for 1/2 sandwich, i'd at least like a piece of chicken or something similar. When it looks like to me is that someone chewed up what little chicken there was and spit it on the sandwich. It included cheese, tomato and I had them hold the chipotle mayo & red onion. Maybe if someone includes the red onion on it, they don't notice that the chicken has crossed the road and got away. I would say also that it took a very long time to get the little, iitty, bitty chicken but that the sales person/cashier was very apologetic for that and apologized immensely about it. Maybe he took a look at the sandwich and was apologizing that someone had chewed up my chicken. I won't be returning to that panera and am asking for my $5.99 be returned.
service
I love panera bread products so i was excited to see one open in my neighborhood. My complaint is about the bakery service. I used to order the bakers dozen every tuesday. The counter person -always a woman but different- would sigh and get my bagels like it was a hassle. I now order first so now i was cheated on the number of bagels. The poor customer service is going to kill this franchaise. I hope soneone is listening.
crumbling curb by front entrance
I picked up my order of bagels and was walking out front door around 6:03 am 3 May. The curb by front entrance is crumbling. There were 3 cars parked and I walked in between 2 of them. Fell flat on my face after tripping over crumbling curb. My knee is torn up, bleeding. My work pants ripped. I picked up myself and food and went to car to tend to knee. Of course its dark. I had to go to work. I cleaned up my bleeding and torn knee and sewed up my pants. I did take a photo of my knee before cleaning...I want that curb repaired before someone else falls like me. Lucky I didn't break any bones. I want someone to pay for my pants. Im 65 and don't need any more stuff like this happenening to me. I did send email to the store itself. Right now I am in pain and ANGRY over what happened. I have photo
service
I came into Panera Bread on my lunch break a little after 3pm. This was at the location in Farmingdale, NY. I had to wait close to 5 minutes before someone could take my order. There was no one at the register and no one came out to check to see if there were any customers on line. Finally a girl came out and ran to the back and then came back to the register to take my order. It would be different if I wasn't on my lunch break but I was and didn't have time to waste. After placing my order I waited for my order which was to go. The guy tossed my bag with my salad inside across the counter and the bag was half way off the counter and almost fell on the floor. I didn't appreciate what he did and he never apologized either. I am a loyal customer not some animal that you can toss food to. I was very unhappy with the service today and was definitely an unsatisfied customer.
cleanliness / cross contamination
Hi,
I was just at Panera Bread in the drive-thru at store 1277. Check # 1323102 and just witnessed the cashier making sandwiches with gloves that she had just used to handle cash. I told the manager and that even if she did switch I should never see gloves come out of that window. But I watched her she did not switch nor wash her hands after handling cash to then turn and make my food that I was going to consume. She definitely needs retrained on food borne illnesses and cross contamination. What's really disturbing as I was voicing my concern for my health and well being she was smirking and laughing as if she was think so what. SO WHAT? If I get sick as a customer. So what panera pays you to do a job properly. This location always has rude people in the drivethru but don't go inside because you will wait so long and then they will mess up what you ordered. Today was my last day going to that location. There is a Starbucks right down the way I will just go there. Hope you guys figure this location out before they seriously harm someones health.
shift supervisor/extremely rude and bad customer service/unprofessional
This happened several months ago, and i didn't know who to reach out to at the time or how to vent my frustration with my Panera experience. Since then, it has continued with this specific person and now I think it's important for the higher ups to know why their cafe health is so low at this store. The Flemington Panera on route 202 I have been a repeat customer for 3 years now. The service has been great my first couple of years, but this past year, 2017, it's clear theres been a massive change. The shift supervisor Eliza was distracting a cashier and giggling over her phone while a customer stood there for 4 minutes waiting for the cashier to take her order. Eliza was also rude to guests, completely ignoring them and walking away while she was on cash earlier. I was sitting down in the front and noticing it all. The worst part was she was dressed inappropriately for a family friendly atmosphere with her shirt unbuttoned to expose her chest. She also acted entirely inappropriate towards male employees and a couple of other customers noticed this as well. It made me never want to come back to that Panera again.
Basically, it was like she wasn't working at all. She did not act like she was at work, rather, a high school cafeteria as a student. Why am I paying to have employees treat others like that and get paid for it?
sandwich
I don't usually complain about food service but the quality of the sandwich I purchased at Panera in Macon Georgia on Thursday April 27 2017 was awful
The sandwich loomed as if it had been retrieved from an Elementary school leftover food line I will attempt to attach picture
I specifically asked for NO LETTUCE 3 times it was the biggest proportion of the sandwich
Sadly disappointed with the quality of the product
two whole salads
This is the third time that I have had to take my salad back to the Freehold Cafe 3966.
Despite ordering whole salads I was given a measly portion of arugula leaves with hardly anything else.
My salads were supposed to be without any meat so I would at least expect everything else to be on the salad. It did not have the corn and beans just some tomato and quinoa.
I waited 35 min for my first order and then when I went back another 15 min for them to fix it.
To my utter disappointment they had thrown a bunch of chicken in there this time around.
Terrible management and I had to report it. I have let it slide many times befor but someone needs to say something.
It's a real shame because this is the closest Panera to me. others have also noticed the same .. lines are ridiculous and wait times .
My order was placed at 6.17 pm on the 27th of April check number 298305.
I hope to see an improvement in management

employee
I normally like Panera but recently had an incident that caused me to walk out and get lunch elsewhere.
A week or so ago I went to the local Panera for lunch. Local being in North Buffalo/Amherst New York
While waiting by the counter for my bag to show up on to counter I noticed that there was a really unpleasant smell.
To my horror I realized it was one of your employees. One of the ones involved with making my meal.
Every time he walked or moved waves of stench rolled across the counter.
I was willing to count it as he got something splashed on him and while uncomfortable I was willing to move on.
I went back a couple days ago.
Again the same employee was there.
Before ordering I walked past his station discreetly. There was the smell again
The best way I can describe this smell is rancid oils/fats.
It's as if his work clothing hadn't been washed in a month and had been worn for every shift.
I chose to leave and get food elsewhere.
I don't completely remember his name tag (sorry I wanted out of there and away from him, not to read) but I think it was Dan/Dom/something along those lines.
Saying this makes me feel bad but if it helps identify this employee he was a fairly tall (around 6ft maybe a little under) very obese black man.
It will be a while before I go back.
southwest chile lime ranch salad with chicken
On Saturday evening (4/22/17) I went to Panera Bread in North Charleston, SC and ordered a Southwest Chili Lime Ranch Salad with Chicken to go. When I got home and opened the salad box I noticed that some pieces of the chicken on top of the salad appeared to be raw. Fortunately, I noticed this after only having a bite or two of the salad. I've never had this happen at a Panera before! Undercooked chicken can be extremely dangerous and I hope that this location will take serious precautions to prevent this from happening again.
bakery section
Every visit we make to this location is always the same. On my visit prior to this visit, there was a fly in the baked goods section and surrounding the trash inside. I decided to give the location another chance and once again there was a fly in the baked goods section. And when we told an employee he had a fly swatter in hand and he proceeded to hit the glass in an attempt to kill the fly. But the way he acted made it seem as if this commonly happened. My family and I will never return to this location
take out order
My wife visited a local Panera via the drive thru. The first order was filled incorrect, after getting home we discovered all three orders were wrong. My wife then went back thru the drive thru and informed the associate of the error. The correction was supposedly made and my wife came home with our order only to discover it was wrong again! This is not the first time this has happened, but it will be our last!
entire visit
Visited the Desert Ridge location in Phoenix, AZ. We ordered a ham and egg white breakfast sandwich in a blueberry bagel, a bear claw, a blended mocha coffee, a toasted cinnamon swirl bagel and an orange juice. First breakfast sandwich was bacon in a cinnamon swirl bagel. Changed to ham and we asked if the bagel was blueberry, the cook said yes. It was not. Reordered after trying it. Apparently the bagels were in the wrong racks. The cinnamon bagel was burned repeatedly and it was obvious the worker could not slice or toast a bagel. I ended up with a blueberry bagel that was barely heated and not toasted. The blended mocha was mostly chocolate syrup and inedible. So only the pre-made bear claw and bottled oj were made correctly. Everything else took several attempts to still be wrong. Poor customer service and food. We live spammers but will not visit this location again.
