Ourtime.com
I paid for a 6 month membership in Feb of 2018. I hardly used it because the guys on there were not my type. I forgot about it for a couple of months, and then logged on two or three times. Then around May, I logged on to cancel my membership and made sure i selected to turn off the automatic renewal, and I remember answering the 2 questions as to why I am cancelling, and logged off and never went back, trusting the process. I am now aware of how supposedly respectable dating sites are just as bad at ripping you off as all the smut and sex sites that practice this scam.
So the other day I was checking my bank account transactions for something unrelated and spotted the $90.00 debit from Ourtime.com on 8/22/2018. So like anybody would, I logged on to get the information on my account. I called the customer care number only to find out it's handled by People Media, which apparently handles more than 50 dating websites?
I am on Social Security Disability at $672.00 a month, so $90.00 is essential to my survival and not play money.
The rep. who took my call, named "James", (with a foreign accent) would/could not transfer me to his supervisor.

ourtime.com
I received an email stating my account was terminated with no reason given, only instructed to read your "terms of use" all of which none applied to me as I was not a subscriber yet, had no contact with any of your female subscribers, I never posted anything offensive or posted my phone # email or any contact info. This company's customer service policy stinks to high heaven...I would even like to charge you with discrimination as im sure you dont treat your "lady subscribers" this way
Seek and love
I have been on the site for less than 24 hours. I did not get an option to search. I joined for one month plus a ridiculous service fee that was also sneaky to add.
The members I saw did not match the proposed intention of the site. It is a money grabbing fraudulent scam. Because I emailed one gentleman back to be nice that I would never date, makes the site I am not satisfied with mine for a month
My automatic recurrent fee stop was turned off, but asked repeatedly to speak to a supervisor or management. No one available Asked for legal but told no one can change the system because I emailed one person. Is no one there smart enough to override. She would forward but unlikely to call me at [protected].
Please return my hard earned money NOW. All I could hear was laughing in the background. Useless talking heads thought to say no, no, no
Will be reporting to BBB. Writing on line complaints unless refunded. Don't continue to steal because you can get away with it. Have some morals
Have you ever bought something to wear online and dissastified with the fit. When trying to return, told you tried it on so it's yours but we won't send you the same one next month and charge you.
That is what happened to me when advertised men on site did not equal the promoted product.
Not only do we have to worry about scammers, never being heard from after a date, and being hacked financially. But, must be intimidated by a company advertising quality dating
our time.com has a tv advert of a women pinching a man's bum
All the media in the UK is saying that in work this is a sackable offence.
MPs in the house of commons are resigning over this.
It is inapropriate to put this advert out in this country .
If you consider it OK behaviour you should at least say "You could be sacked for this in the UK.This is true media double standard.
please reply to kathryn.[protected]@ntlworld.com
I did not get this quite right.I consider this a wrong thing to put on an advert whatever.
ourtime.com
I joined this website about 3 weeks ago.
Since then I have been scammed 3 times.
Hacked3 times. People using my e-mail?
I tried to delete my account... couldn't do it.
I wanted my money back as soon a I signed in!
Yes I've had scammers, but this site is the biggest scam of all.
I told them I want my money back NOW.
Otherwise I'm filing a class action law suit.
I WILL get enough people to join me I will contact the AG.
They should not be in business.
It's an abuse for most people.
They think it's a chance to meet people in your area, .
They mislead you by " pumping" numbers of people interested in you.
The list is endless.
Mad as hell for myself and everyone else that was mislead.
Lesley
our time
I have been a member of Our Time off and on since July 2015 so I'm familiar with the site. It has always sent random messages to people without their knowledge, generic messages that seem to be from the site instead of real people, entire profiles get deleted or sometimes just parts of the profile and I keep seeing the same people even after two years. I've heard from other members that it could be because of hackers. When it comes time for me to renew, I can't think of a reason why I should. I think people should be aware of the dangers of joining this dating site. They will be wasting their money if they join this dating site.
Yesterday I was told that in the future the profiles would be limited to 144 characters. So I modified my profile to 144 or less characters. I did not make any changes to my logon. Today I cannot log onto my profile on the website. What's wrong? skyking9690/glspv@aol.com.
never received a refund
I used PeopleMedia website to find a trustworthy dating website and they recommended Senior People Meet, so I joined it. I paid for 6 months membership, but after two weeks decided to cancel it, because PeopleMedia recommended website turned out to be a disaster. So I asked for a refund, but they refused and then just blocked me from accessing my account. I am so very disappointed with PeopleMedia! They are absolutely dishonest!
unauthorized charges on credit card
Hello.. I had signed up for 6 month trial in June 29, 2013. I spoke to the rep, Gary.who assured me I was taken off the auto renewal charges on my credit card.I called back again in September and was assured that I was taken off the auto renewal and my membership was extended to Jan.10th 2014 as a courtesy. Today, when i called to be sure i wasn't charge the use my credit card and charged me $71.94 without my permission. Being upset, because, I not only called one but twice to make sure this wouldn't occur! I WAS told today by ROY they would not issue me a refund..because i had gone on the site- to check why it wasn't cancelled. He said my due date was put back to the 29th. this is a total scam..one rep assures you not to renew without permission..and they do so anyway! My membership name is LLb409 many thanks..I see I am one of many complaints. my email is [protected]@yahoo.com
dishonest advertising
I received an email from ourtime.com with the subject line of "We miss you! How about 25% off?". Within the email was the link to click on that said "Pay 25% less now>". I clicked on the link, it said $8.99/month for 6 months for total of $53.94, so I selected that option, which took me to the next page to enter my credit card info, which I did. I got the final confirmation page that said it was charging $75.93 to my card, and there was no option to backtrack or say no or undo it or anything. I emailed the "contact us" link, explained my situation, was told by someone using the name of "Brandi" that it would be looked into, and they would get back to me, and to "feel free to reply at anytime and I will be happy to assist you by email with any further concerns". I didn't hear back, but I saw the full charge appear today on my credit card for $75.93. I replied again to "Brandi"s email, and got a canned response that said I had to call [protected] for service. So, I called. I got a girl who gave me long periods of silence while she typed... she obviously couldn't answer my questions without texting someone else? She came back and said she could "offer" me one extra month at no cost. I quickly pointed out to her that one extra month does not bring me down to 25% off, and all I'm asking is that they honor the promise made in their email and on the website and give me the 25% off. She said she couldn't do that. ? So I said then give me my full refund, because I'm not going to do business with a scamming company. She started reading off a legal disclaimer about how I had to accept the refund they give and cannot come back to them again about it. I stopped her and said I was ONLY accepting a FULL refund, or else the 25% off for 6 months. She went into silent mode again and started typing furiously again for a long period. She then said she had to refer me to her manager. So, this guy named Steven came on the line, hard to understand, very SHORT, CURT, and RUDE with me, basically abusive to his customer, yet accusing me of being abusive... which I found very interesting since I hadn't done anything wrong yet, but they clearly HAD... he told me he would process a refund LESS A PROCESSING FEE. I said NO, I shouldn't have to pay a processing fee for THEIR mistake, I am only accepting 25% off for 6 months OR a FULL refund, nothing less, based on the promise THEY made but CAN'T SEEM TO HONOR... he continued his abusive and patronizing tone... kept using the formal version of my name as if I was his little kid (he sounded about half my age), and accused ME of being out of line. I reminded him repeatedly that HIS COMPANY promised me 25% off, WHY IS THAT SO HARD FOR THEM TO DO... all he kept coming back to was a refund LESS a processing fee. SOOOOO... I just talked to my credit card company, and they will happily remove that charge from my credit card, and will block that fraudulent company from ever trying to steal my money through scams again. People, be warned, these people are a FRAUD.
refused to give a refund
People Media Inc refused to give me a refund. I opened an account ad after half an hour I finally decided to close it as it was of no necessity. They told I have used this account so they will never return my money. Never give them your money!
fraud, unsecure site, unethical business actions
All these sites are ran by peoplemedia.com. They don't answer the phone, they don't give you your money back when your profile gets hacked and they dont have a secure site. I spent hours battling a hacker back and forth, my password is froze, can't change it, the user name is froze, cant change it. Everytime i complain via customer service, nothin is done and no response back. Avoid these sites! They are not, secure and your information is easy to obtain

I been very curious with this dating service behind the scenes operation. I joined 3 separate dating services provided by the company and the MO was identical: You get lots of attention from woman and flirts but once you hand over the money for the opportunity to respond you cease to get anymore response from anyone. When you respond back you get no reply, or at best, boiler plate response then nothing.
Clearly the company is perpetrating fraud in order to entice people to fork over money..
hundreds of messages vanished from jpeoplemeet account . company said, not responsible. what happen to all emails?
I was on ourtime.com. They offered a promotion I accepted for renewal when I did not plan to renew. When I got my credit card bill, I contacted them to complain that they charged me full price. They refused to credit the difference and because I did not have any proof in the way of a receipt (none was offered), I could not get my discounted price and they knocked me off the site only having used 2 months of a 6 month subscription. Credit card company can't help and people media refuses to refund the discount amount which is all I was asking for. What a bunch of B.S.
misleading info and cost of membership
I had registered as a free member on BabyBoomerPeopleMeet.com, one of 23 similar online dating sites, run by People Media. As a free member, I couldn't read any of my messages or see any of the bookmarks or flirts, so when I saw the number of messages rise up to 29 messages, I decided to pay to become a member. Well, what a surprise when I discovered that all but 1 message were made of up flirts and bookmarks, which were also counted separately! What a scam! I never would have joined if I knew there was only 1 message waiting there. Also, after I had signed up, they showed that they were debiting my credit card in US. dollars. I'm in Canada, which means I am paying more than they advertised. At no time and nowhere on their site, do they show they deal in U.S. dollars or that they were an American company, which shouldn't matter anyway. If they're selling their product or service in Canada, they should be clearly labelling the cost in U.S. dollars or Canadian dollars before people buy the product! Again another scam! I brought both these issues to their attention, but all I got was a run-around. They wouldn't supply me the name of their Director of Customer Services when I asked for it. I had also registered with some of their other dating sites and they run them the same way. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY's dating sites. They are so deceptive.

Please stop every payment coming out of my account... Eric Dunn is my name and I like to have refund on the last payment...I don't know why it's coming out of my account SO PLEASE anything to do with me just CANCEL EVERYTHING...
Thank you
Eric Dunn
People Media removed money from my PayPal account even with my account subscription was cancelled. I need my account turned on or refund. I will be turning this over to the BBB if I don’t hear back. Thanks Dennis Kucera——Dpmk42@yahoo.com
I signed up for 6-month membership. Site is loaded with scammers. I'm halfway through now. I had to re-enter my profile info trying to get me to sign-up for more fees a 2 or 3 weeks ago. Once I re-entered everything I did a copy and paste of my entire profile just to cya. Now I had same thing happen again. I've met two people in two months, one whom I dated several times. The site is not backed up routinely as it should be. It's obvious that People Media - ourtime.com is little more than a ripoff bank. I am going to try to dispute the original charges and cancel ASAP.
Unethical billing practices. Charge after you cancel auto renewal.
I got refunded for 3 month sign up when I signed up for one month.
Then charge $22+ dollars two more times.
Site owner many other sites which your profile is automatically linked with.
People showing interest from far away he some foreign scammers.
Cancelling my membership.
You deducted funds from my account without my authorization after I was told a couple off months ago my account would be closed after the first submission of payment and no more monies withdrawn. I am requested my $73.52 refunded back to me or my bank will be putting a stop payment on your monies you took from my account
thank you,
Deborah ware
i told you to close down or unsubscribe my account in april but you are still taking money out of my bank account. will you please stop. thanks, jerry
I do NOT want to automatically renew and will change my credit card so you are unable to renew if you don't stop this madness right away!
What a ripe off... people 12 years younger than myself...so many with no photos( which should not be allowed to begin with), this site chose my profile photo and I have been unable to change it for months now, plus these gentlemen are so far away from my area & most even from other states. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? People join to meet people with success not failures due to distance. What about people within a certain amount of miles from my zip code
like other sites have found to be very workable.
Last but not lest, DOES YOUR COMPANY REALIZE THE TROUBLE OUR COUNTRY AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA IS CURRENTLY IN WITH PEOPLE LOSING JOBS AND HOMES?
GIVE MORE CONSIDERATION TO YOUR FEES...OH YEAH 9.99 A MONTH HOWEVER IT MUST BE PAID UP FRONT FOR 6 MONTHS. LISTEN TO THE NEWS AND READ THE PAPER.
P.S. FORGOT HOW BAD THE MAKE OVER ON THIS SITE LOOKS.
SO I GIVE THIS SITE 10 - MINUS.
FOLKS GO ELSE WHERE.
WARNING IS ALL I CAN GIVE YOU...SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!
Is there any such a thing as an honest dating service online?
I doubt it. - I really do.
Even before the internet, dating agencies had a foul reputation and now the relative anonymity of the net, has made an already polluted pool even more toxic.
The tactics described by the two posters above are all too typical of the money grubbing ploys used by the operators of similar sites.
There are always a few nice and genuine people on dating sites but you have a better chance of winning a lottery than you do of meeting one of them online.
Bots you will encounter aplenty along with sundry cammers, scammers, druggos and schizos.
Dating sites in general are nothing but one giant scam calculated to seperate many thousands of suckers from their money so as to make a few professional criminals obscenely rich.
I haven't used this service and have no intention of doing so.
Avoid dating sites. - They are a mugs game.
If, you are so isolated that you don't think that you can meet people by more orthodox means and decide to take a chance anyway, then make certain that you do your homework by checking out any dating service with the anti scam websites online to see what kind of a reputation they have before you even consider signing up.
This includes the supposedly "free" sites as well!
If you have been scammed by ANY online service, do not hesitate to report the matter to the appropriate authorities in your country and warn other people you know about it.
Totally agree, same thing with me. I am 52 and looking for someone of close age. My message filler up and I joined only to find 19 to 31 year olds. after careful review, 2 people had the same person for images. BOTS this site is full of BOTS. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY's dating sites. They are so deceptive.
