Very Disappointed
Unfortunately there is NO WAY one can speak to a person at Ourtime or People Media once you have signed up. My profile has many errors none of which I have been able to correct ,per the limited instructions ,on Ourtime's Site.Truly a scam in my opinion. Phone numbers are found for people media but when you call you are referred to "send an e mail"
Recommendation: Do Not use the Ourtime Site

Auto renewl
I have canceled all accounts as of 2023 and I am still getting auto renewals. Name is Grace Lomano email [protected]@aol.com or [protected]@aol.com. I just checked my PayPal and it shows I owe March 9th 2024 130.82 Sept 5th 2023 130.82 and March 2023 21.99. For a total of over 500 dollars. I stopped all renewals last yr. And when I received this last payment I reported it to you and now I am getting emails again. I do not owe this money. And will have my attorney contact you .
Desired outcome: Close accounts and stop auto renewals. I do not have the money to pay this and haven't used your sites in a yr.

People Media
On May 10, 2023, I paid People Media (OurTime.com) $171.69 for a subscription and have NOT been able to access, log-into, communicate via telephone or otherwise, my account. I have called their listed telephone numbers which are: [protected] and [protected] and can NOT make contact with them.
I have also emailed them [protected]@support.peoplemedia.com and have NOT received any correspondence from them.
This is the worst company that I have ever dealt with and I am 82 years old.
If you are looking for a special friend, AVOID People Media and their subsidiaries!
Desired outcome: Refund my $171.69 that I paid!
Black people meet website
I am distraught by the brazen lies that have been implied about me being involved in Fraudulent Behavior on the website. I was actually on a first date with a gentlemen that I met from the site and he was rather standoffish when we met face to face. He came to my car and shared an email he had received from Black People Meet informing him of the website's decision to discontinue my membership due to alleged fraudulent behavior. I was extremely embarrassed and humiliated by the email he has received with my name on it pretending to be concerned about the welfare of each of its members. I was never contacted by Black People Meet to inform me about fraud nor was any information forwarded to me as to the reason for the refund of 6 months membership. I have a weekly podcast, a published author on Amazon and have been a VICTIM of fraud but the process of investigation by Black People Meet was unethical and unwarranted. I plan to file a lawsuit against People Media for defamation of my character and lies by implied about me on a dating website. NEVER HAVE I EVER experienced any such disrespectful conduct by a company that claims to want to help Black people to meet. I am going on social media to put 'BLACK PEOPLE MEET" on blast if I am not contacted by the legal representative of the company to resolve this most humiliating event that is not based on any credible merit.
Desired outcome: I am expecting restitution for the falsehoods that were shared with a third party (my date) and any other gentlemen I was messaging on the dating website.
Is People Media Legit?
People Media earns a trustworthiness rating of 91%
Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.
We found clear and detailed contact information for People Media. The company provides a physical address, phone number, and 2 emails, as well as social media account. This demonstrates a commitment to customer service and transparency, which is a positive sign for building trust with customers.
Peoplemedia.com has a valid SSL certificate, which indicates that the website is secure and trustworthy. Look for the padlock icon in the browser and the "https" prefix in the URL to confirm that the website is using SSL.
Peoplemedia.com has been deemed safe to visit, as it is protected by a cloud-based cybersecurity solution that uses the Domain Name System (DNS) to help protect networks from online threats.
We looked up People Media and found that the website is receiving a high amount of traffic. This could be a sign of a popular and trustworthy website, but it is still important to exercise caution and verify the legitimacy of the site before sharing any personal or financial information
However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:
- While People Media has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 6% of 32 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
- We conducted a search on social media and found several negative reviews related to People Media. These reviews may indicate issues with the company's products, services, or customer support. It is important to thoroughly research the company and its offerings before making any purchases to avoid any potential risks.
Zoosk and Our Time
I was a Zoosk member until about December of 2020. I was constantly bombarded with suggestions for extra cost upgrades and gifts. Regardless of my location I kept receiving profiles from out of state members as much as 3000 miles away. Just before ending my paid subscription I did receive a request from a member who was at least in state. We never met. She told me that she was a Swedish nurse on an exchange nursing program, and hinted that she needed someone to sponsor her. She finally stoped corresponding with me. I am a paid member of Our Time. In one month I have two definite fishing attempts and one probable one from member using false locations, names, ages and profiles in general. The most recent was this afternoon. I have attempted on one previous occasion to repost this activity to People Media's support facility. I was not able to get any assistance from them. They are obviously an offshore activity and are more concerned with the reputation of the firm than the concerns of the membership. I would caution against using any dating site affiliated with People Media.
Ourtime
A woman sent me a flirt the other day and so I responded. I viewed her profile first and saw where she was a Catholic. When I responded I asked if she was a practicing Catholic or just listed that as her preference, and I only asked because of all the Catholic priests that have been involved with improper actions with young men.
An hour later I received a warning notice of improper activity from OurTime, and so I called them. I stated that I was speaking a FACT and had every right to inquire about the issue, and yet when the woman reported me to OurTime then she was only stating an OPINION.
My problem with this? This report will STAY on my record as making improper activity. So yeah, I canceled my Membership IMMEDIATELY, and I was refunded my money. I guess they need to learn how to identify the difference between a FACT from an OPINION...
GEEZ...
Desired outcome: Company Reprimand
unauthorized billing on my credit card.
I do not know how they got my credit card number, but I am being charged for the past two months for something I never signed up for. I get hang ups every time I select a category on their menu. Another scam that if you do not check your credit card charges will eat your lunch real fast! This is a great example of scamming people out of their money, without their authorization.
Desired outcome: STOP CHARGING FOR A SERVICE I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR!!
OurTime.com
On Friday, November 13, 2020 Paypal sent me a refund of $38.00. There was no explanation.
On Monday, November 16, 2020, a friend I met on the site asked me if I had been terminated from OurTime. That was the first I knew it. I asked him how he knew and he sent me this:
"OurTime.com values your membership more than you may know. We respect and appreciate each of our members and work behind the scenes to cultivate a safe and positive experience.
Recently, we discontinued Patty's membership due to what appears to be fraudulent* behavior. We are notifying you because you exchanged messages with this member.
As a safety reminder, we advise against ever sharing your personal financial information or sending money to other members via any means. If you do receive one of these requests from another member, please report him or her directly to us."
They never told me I was terminated or told me why.
Nothing I said or did was fraudulent, as they claimed. I don't like them smearing my name without telling me the reason and giving me a chance to respond. And I don't like being banned from the service when I have been nothing but honest and polite.
I would like to be reinstated.
urTime terminated me without explanation or notice. At the same time they sent notification to people I had talked to telling them I was terminated for fraudulent behavior. I can't defend myself because I have no idea what I have done. They have damaged my reputation with others on the site, and I have been banned from joining again. I'm confused, though, that they issued a refund when it says in their policy that they don't issue refunds for termination. I want to clear my name.

Unauthorized payment
I joined OurTime.com during the pandemic in around March 2020. After I saw how many fake people and scammers were on it, when my three-months was up, I terminated. Now, in November 2020 they have charged my Paypal account $129.93 for a six-month membership. This is not only unauthorized, it is fraud and embezzlement. I tried to call their listed number, [protected] at various times since 0600 PST and when I click on "5" to report this issue, am immediately disconnected. I reported the unauthorized payment to Paypal but they can't reimburse me. Peoplemedia has to give me my money back. I am very angry and upset.
online dating services for ourtime, marriage minded people, and Italian People Meet.
On the morning of October 27, 2020 at 11:17 in the morning I was notified that my "membership was terminated due to inappropriate behavior". Henry B. Notified me by email that due to terms of use violations my accounts would be immediately terminated for "the best interest of the member community". I called the service department to see what caused this action and was not told what the reason was for, but that a representative would contact me. It was then I received the email from Henry B. with that short and undefined explanation of termination. I since sent 5 emails to him requesting specific information for the violation for termination. I had not heard back, and am in great distress from being terminated and unable to associate with members I have become friends with.
I have been a member of People media sites for almost three years including Ourtime, Marriage Minded People Meet, and Italian People Meet. I have a long history of tasteful correspondence with many and have never been reported for any misconduct. I have read the terms and conditions concerning the policies for the sites I subscribed to and cannot find any possible cause applicable for immediate and unequivocal termination now and for the future. I am an advocate against hate speech and violence, and have Never deliberately or willfully sent letters intended to hurt anyone. I am also an advocate for freedom of speech, but do limit mine so to preserve bitter feelings that may be felt by my views.
The only letter that I can recall within the time frame of my termination that may have offended another party was one letter sent that was a celebratory expression for a political appointment that was filled, and my sense of excitement and satisfaction for it. If I am to understand that a paid member of an organization can be terminated at will by the discretion of a representative along with the complaint filed by a single member that may be sensitive to the content in a letter, I would hope that this matter could be reviewed by an independent agent that has no bias. Mr. Henry B. had not the common courtesy to return my request for reason for cause of action specifically, and refused to disclose any refund for time left on all three sites. It is my belief that this rep has bias and has discriminated against my judgement and has single handily deemed my behavior as inappropriate.
I'm am severely distraught and am being punished unjustly for a single incident that I am unaware of. As a provider of a forum that houses many opinions and views among the many within, a shield of terms and conditions with a wide scope and ambiguous interpretation can be a hard sequence to understand and follow, as management can scrutinize any situation to conform to a broad base policy of rules and regulations sensitive to their particular views. I would ask you to review this matter as I feel I have been the target of bias and discriminated against. It is my wish to be reinstated so that I may re join the friends I have made.
Respectfully, Richard M DiNapoli Ricky 4895
Thank you for sharing your post. I am experiencing a similar situation but far more humiliating and embarrassing. I will be pursuing answers and resolutions to the defamation of my character based on unmerited falsehoods. I am a published author, podcaster, and a woman of integrity. I will not take this laying down.
I thank you for posting your experience of your membership being terminated. I, too, experienced a recently similar situation with my membership. My membership was abruptly ended with no explanation. They emailed a male member that I was scheduled to go on a date with "warning" him of my membership being discontinued due to fraudulent behavior. The member came to the date and after we completed water aerobics, he walked me to my car and showed me a letter sent to him by Black People Meet warning him to beware of dealing with me because they directly stated I was involved in fraudulent behavior. I am a lot of things but a fraud definitely is not one of them. I want to sue them for defamation of my character and sharing information with a third party without my knowing. Best wishes to you and I will be pursuing this to the full extent of legal ramifications that I can do.
Ourtime
I have constantly had my account shut down because someone was contacting women pretending to be me. I have had various with ourtime opening my account to men, sending out contacts to men & checking my account & having 30 or more men answering messages the thought I had sent. This is what I experienced with some of the women that thought they were contacting me. I have called PeopleMedia to get problems rectified probably 45times in the last 2 months. Very disappointed everytime they had me change my password each time I called.

After creating a profile on this site soon after I began to receive emails stating that I had received responses to my profile and if you want to respond to these people you must pay/join/ upgrade.
After I paid my 20$ to reply I found that the persons never contacted me or the hits my profile received were false and generated by People media. There are two websites owned by people media and both I tried and had same results, and many times in the past I've gotten tricked into paying by it company falsely claiming that I should pay to join to see who's trying to contact me.
Using a check versus credit card
On May 2nd I sent in a check for a 6 month offer that was being promoted. I had called your company and mentioned that I do not use a credit card but wanted to pay by check for that offer. I was provided with the address to send my check. Along with my check I had written a letter stating that the check was for the 6 month offefr for $35.49. My check was cashed and I received an e-mail message that I could start using the site. I never received a notice that my check was only good for 6 weeks. To my surprise, I was promptly cut off the site after, I guess, 6 weeks. The reason I state that; is I immediately got in touch with one of your representatives and after expressing my feelings and requested to speak to a manager. Repeatedly the rep said there was nothing that can be done; 6 weeks is all I got and that is the policy if you pay by check. The offer is only if you pay by credit card, etc but not by a check. I did speak with a manager who called me back and he repeated the same story. As I had mentioned there is no where in the offer that if you paid by check, you would only receive 6 months. I am very upset with this outcome and have expressed my feelings on my site. You should clarify the extent of your offers! Peter Zanini e-mail address: [protected]@juno.com
Repetitive charges
I don't understand the two additional charges from this company! I only agreed to the "1" charge of $25.53. I did not agree to the $44.47 or the $33.33!

Being unfairly blocked
My name is Michael Stabile. I used to be a member of Christian Mingle. I had to cancel because of financial problems. I talked to a representitive of that company and they were nasty to me. I even let that go. Now Itry to log in to Christian Mingle and it seems that I am blocked from logging in .Your rep blocked me for cancelling. That is an unchristian thing to do. Could you please remove the block . Thank you
Our time
I paid for 1 month access to the site. In that time I have only been able to access the site less than 70% of the time. If I access the site with my mobile phone, their system senses that my ip address has changed (surprise suprise, its a mobile network and all ip addresses are doled out by dhcp so of course the ip address is going to be different.) and changes my password and I get locked out for days at a time. I have called 5 times to support, they don't listen to my complaint, they assume that the problem is with my internet provider (I'm a sys admin myself, Cisco and MSCE certified) and claiming I am using a VPN - which I am not.
They will not give a refund, regardless if they do not provide a service or not.
Ourtime - not
I have wasted my time and $ on this site. Most of the people do not fill out profiles. OK, that is not OT's problem. But the "quality" is poor. So if you are reading this to see if you want to join - the men are by and large lazy.
AND - there are so many SPAMers out there posing as available men that I am now hesitating to answer any notes or flirts. At least I can see the "pattern" they use. Thank god I am clever enough not to fall for them and certainly I do not call them, and so they never get to the "send $" part with me.
And then the women who contact me... I am looking for a man. Is this OT's glitch?
But now, I am really hot! My account and my e-mail have been hacked. Today I got a notice that I have "agreed" to allow someone posing as OT to withdraw funds for an additional YEAR, and my initial subscription isn't even UP until January.
What a waste. What a betrayal of the security I was promised.
I want a refund. And if somehow those folks DO access my funds tomorrow, I hold OT responsible for any and all charges.
I will be on the phone tomorrow to see if OT is any better on the phone than one their dead-end e-mail address.
Refund
I'm notified that I have a message and when I click on to read it I have to log on again but never get to read the message this has happened twice so since you don't provide the service and I demand a refund for the unused portion service which I paid for cancel my subscription at the end of September, Your rep told me that you don't do this Since you didn't provide the service and I want a refund for the unused portion of my subscription my next step will be to file a complaint with the FCC. [protected]@gmail.com
The site isn't secure. It seems to be badly written and designed to separate people from their money and deliver nothing. The site crashes all the time.
