My experience with percom
As a paramedic student at Percom, I had the opportunity to transfer my AEMT status and complete Part 2 of the paramedic program. This program can be finished in less than a year with the right schedule. My experience was slightly different, as I didn't have an ideal schedule and even attended a fire academy midway through my paramedic course. It's worth mentioning that I believe few (or none) other paramedic courses would have offered me the flexibility to do this.
Taking a leave of absence for the fire academy was remarkably straightforward, thanks to Percom's understanding and support of my situation. With just a few emails, I was able to pause and later resume my studies seamlessly.
The course itself lays a solid foundation for an entry-level paramedic. It encourages students to independently explore more complex topics online, allowing for a tailored learning experience based on personal interest and perceived areas for improvement. This approach was ideal for me, offering exactly what I needed to start at an entry-level and the autonomy to deepen my knowledge where I saw fit.
This program is suitable for anyone aspiring to become a paramedic, especially those concerned about balancing school with life's unpredictable demands (e.g. going through a fire academy in the middle of paramedic school). Its flexibility is a significant advantage.
If I were to note a drawback, it would be that scheduling for certain parts of the course can be challenging (there is fault on my end too). However, this is a minor issue in the context of my overall positive experience.
In conclusion, I highly recommend Percom's paramedic program. If you're considering it, I advise you to start now. Looking back, you'll likely appreciate how instrumental this course was in your career.
Thank you, Jane.
Recommendation: If you think life is going to get in the way, this is the course for you, or even if you still want to pursue things while in the course
PERCOMOnline Complaints 6
Fraud, money, misconduct, rudeness
Percom Online is a school that definitely has shady business practices and has a program director that is beyond rude. This place needs to be investigated. The programs director will lie about what is to be done, and then change the situation half way through. The program will collect your money and then will make up any reason as to why a student should not succeed. The professors are next to impossible to get a hold of and then when you do they will tell you a completely different thing than what was agreed upon. The Program Director herself needs to be turned into the licensing board for both nurse and Paramedics. Currently having to file a Consumer complaint with two different Attorney General Offices in order to deal with this school. Beware of the fraud and scam and the retaliation that will come once you stand your ground and point out the facts that the Professor is in the wrong and not the student.
Desired outcome: Refund, reinstated and company throughly investigated for their fraudulent business practices.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
emt basic program
I am just like everyone else who had a horrible experience with this scam "school". But they took it a further step and contacted my new school and told them I was a problem. They tried to keep me from pursuing my EMS education. I was shocked when I went into my new school and was met with questions about what went down at percom. Lucky for me they took my word over this SHAM DISGRACE of a school. Totally unbelievable. They got ugly when I said I was going to the BBB. I would never ever recommend this program to anyone. Unless you want to teach yourself with YouTube videos and be blamed for ANY issue you may have. Stay the F away.
Medical training - EMT and Paramedic
Percom – awful people (certainly the owners anyway). I wholeheartedly agree with all of the terrible feedback percom is getting on various forums and feel sorry for others in the same boat – do yourself a favor and find another course. I work outside the us and agreed to take the course based on a verbal and written agreement with jerry from percom online. My agreement made with jerry dinsmore (half owner with his wife jane dinsmore) was to refund me if I could not return to complete the course, I did the emt with them, that was appalling as well but another story - we don’t have time. Ultimately I have lost $2, 600.00usd to these lying, incompetent people as they wont reply and I will be making it known to everyone I can to help others avoid the costly mistakes I made. They are clearly poor business people as the cost to them of all this negative feedback must be huge - far more than honoring their agreements. They babble on about looking after students etc and say anything to rope you in yet won’t even reply, they are lazy, they won’t refund if something happens to you so forget that nor even negotiate a part refund. They are simply horrible people yet hide behind this buls*#t facade - you’ve been warned, ultimately I hope my mistake can help others, be careful with your money and find a place with a good reputation to spend it, these people are destined for the business garbage heap.

Horrible Quality with no Real Instruction
This place provides absolutely horrible service. There is no actual instruction. They give you a bunch of powerpoints and say, there you go, this is your Paramedic school. Would you want the Paramedic showing up to your or your family member's medical emergency to have "learned" by just reading powerpoints? This place is a step up from finding a Paramedic card in a cereal box.
On top of that, they charge you more than some real Paramedic programs out there to do their online program.
Some of the people running the place are also grossly under-qualified. One in particular has the idiotic notion the putting AAS after their name somehow gives them more clout. Way to aim for the middle. An AAS doesn't even qualify you to teach elementary school, but apparently at PERCOM, that is more than enough credentials to run an entire program.
Poor Quality
This place provides very poor quality. They do emt and paramedic classes with no actual lectures or real instruction, then have the nerve to charge you as much or more for tuition to a real program.
For your own sake, stay away.
False. PERCOMOnline's courses contain presentation videos with audio lecture by PERCOMOnline instructors. Each program has an assigned EMS Instructor, and each instructor is reachable for questions and further guidance to students.
Each program includes live skills training/testing sessions with LIVE instructors, and LIVE field rotations at hospital and EMS locations, with live preceptors.
Tuition fee is about average when you actually do some checking with comparable online EMT programs.
NOTE - The "Bearamedic" account only has 3 complaints on record, all towards PERCOMOnline, and all labelled in different cities. There is a good chance this is not even a prior student.
Unprofessional, lazy and incompetent instructors
Percom's online paramedic school guaranteed assignments would be graded and returned within one month. My instructors took 2-3 months to grade assignments, despite my regular inquiries on the grading status. In the midst of my program, one instructor fell behind due to health reasons and transferred me to a new instructor who as it turned out would be on a...
