Plato's Closet review: Very rude, condescending employees that are extremely unprofessional

I dropped off items I wanted to sell at the CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA Platos closet on 4/24/2021. I am not going to go into detail about the very small amt of money I received for my items including brand new (with tags) clothes. On my way home I had second thoughts about a Michael Kors purse that they totally underpaid me for. I immediately called the store and spoke with "H*&+y." She told me they will not hold items overnight. I had plans that evening and did not have time to go back to the store. "H" finally said she pulled the purse and put it behind the counter with my name on it. I told her I would be back in the morning. On the morning of 4/25 my mom and I drove all the way back to the store. My purse was not behind the counter and I was upset because I was told it would be there. Three of the rudest young girls had their claws out and said "the purse wouldn't be behind the counter because we don't keep things overnight." We understood that this may be their policy, but we were told it would be there. The 3 girls flat-out disagreed with us causing the conversation to be more adversarial. These girls did not attempt to listen to our story. They were combative and confronted us by doubting a conversation we had had the evening before. They were extremely unreasonable, unfriendly, unprofessional and RUDE. When we asked to talk with the manager they told us that one of these young girls was the manager. When we asked if we could call her supervisor they lied and said they were getting her in the phone. We waited, and waited, but they never called a supervisor. They just continued being rude to us. I was always taught that an employee should use professional customer service. My mom and I were extremely offended, embarrasses, and angry by their lack of professionalism. They had no respect and lacked trying to understand our point of view before reacting. They never tried to compromise. They literally laughed in our faces and told us if we took the purse (we had already laid out the money we received for it...$5.40) that they would call the police and have us arrested for stealing. What? For giving you back the money we received for our purse when we called you 10 minutes after we left the store? They could have avoided the whole situation if they communicated NICELY and tried to find a happy medium between what I needed and what they needed to keep us both happy. You can call it a compromise... a little goes a long way... They should have said, "this isn't our policy, but since you called immediately when you left our store let us contact our manager and see what we can do for you." This is what GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE is all about. Instead, they had an attitude, they were very bossy, immature, undertrained, and didn't show any concern. The store is run by teenagers who have absolutely NO customer service skills. This all comes down to poor management. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. On top of it all THEY took a picture of our license plate, called the police saying we threatened to come to the other side of the counter to get the purse (never happened), said we took pictures of them (never happened), we took pictures of the employees names on a dry erase board so we knew who to tell their supervisors about. At this point I will NEVER set foot in another Platos Closet again. I have never been treated with so much disrespect in my life. I hope these girls are retrained or let go. Young girls with their lack of professionalism and rudeness should not have a position with your company.
