delivery and customer service
I ordered a leather chair and couch and was told upon ordering the chair would be delivered by December 15 and the couch may be first week in February. We were expecting company and counted on the chair being delivered, even removed our old chair and never received the chair. I called and spent hours on the phone and was transferred and transferred and disconnected several time to get nothing resolved. I need to know where the chair is and why I've been charged and never received the chair.
ordering and delivery
I had ordered two Lansing leather chairs in early August of 2017. Received a confirmation number and a delivery estimate of October 2017. When I called in October to check on the status of my order I was told that the order was never placed. My only option was to reorder the chairs which I did and was given a delivery estimate of Christmas time. I had ordered the chairs with the intention of having them for the holidays. Tried to contact them before Christmas to set up a delivery date since they were in but was told that I could not. Finally tried to set up a delivery date but was only offered the earliest date of a Thursday of January 4th, 2018. Tried to explain that we REALLY needed it before the new year since we were having family over and that I was willing to pay for delivery but was told that that was not an option. I will NEVER order from Pottery Barn again. The whole point of these chairs was to have them here for the holidays. Planned way ahead and they messed up big time.
customer service
12/26/17 - I called about Christmas pillows ordered in Nov. (email from PB saying pillows backordered til 12/12 and 12/18 was received after ordering). I didn't receive pillows and do not want them now since it is after Christmas. Was told order couldn't be cancelled. I asked for issue to be escalated. Next customer service agent listened for about two minutes and hung up on me.
I want my money back
It obviously was a system error, I doubt it's something that happens on a daily basis. But they did absolutely nothing and my money wasn't refunded even though it's been one month since I requested it.
I ordered a sofa 7 weeks ago. Everything was ok. As far as I understood they charged its cost along with the shipping cost. But the most interesting part is that they charged me the shipping cost when I was unable to cancel the payment.
I live in Fairfax, WV. They charged $103 for the shipping! It's a lot.
Let them know right after I saw this amount. They promised to take it into account and to refund the difference.
As I already said, it's been a month and there's nothing...
online ordering
12/16/2017 Ordered Owl Fireplace Tool Set which was Backordered but promised to be out for delivery on the 20th. Also PAID for one day shipping, so expected on 12/21/2017
12/22/2017, item still not here, called customer service, they said it'd ship out today.
12/23/2017, item still not here, Called customer service again, put me on hold, then proceeded to hang up on me.
All I wanted out of the customer service rep was an ETA on my package.
But now I just want a refund, and they're probably not gonna get back to me for a bit so im gonna dispute the charge through my bank. Thanks.
Thanks pottery barn.
terrible service!
It's a very unreliable company, I recommend you to stay away from them.
Why? Because they never deliver on time and make you wait forever for your order to arrive, especially if you need it by a special date.
I ordered a lunch box for my daughter, I thought it would arrive fast, but it never happened at all.
Opened a dispute with my credit card company, because Pottery Barn refused to refund. Oh well, they can do what they want, but I won't let them think that they can scam me.
holmans shelf's return/credit problem, order # [protected]
Hi there, I'm Nermin, owner of company Oracle Renovations! I purchased 4 different sizes of Holmans Shelf's and prior ordering I called your customer service to make sure that my order will be deliver in time for installation. Ordered shelf 3 of for come in time but 4th is late 5 days and I failed installation for my customer that cost me money of my total project price due to your company fault. Anyway I opened two of shelf trying to convince that may look good without 4th shelf and another problem with color variation and poor finish than I have another shame of your company and myself in front of my customer eyes. I returned shelf's in local store and now I have another problem, your impolite customer representative steeled my money purposely without explanation, first credit of $119.? I received 10 days a go then I called local store for help and they called your general customer service to figure out what is going on. I have news that they only can return $340.? And $160.? Is steeled by your bad customer service representative without explanation. Instead to return my credit and offer additional coupons for my problems I'm being rabid and manipulated by your company. I want you to know this is USA territory and that ordeal isn't legal in this country. I will not stop on this if my money isn't returned to my account . Will use all my power to notify rest of companies and customers about your business and I will report this to BBB and to N.C .Consumer Complaint Office. Also I will contact my bank to fight for my money because I feel that i'm victim of crime. I lost my mind by dealing with your impolite customer service representative than I want someone from your executive office management people to resolve this problem. For more information you can call at:[protected]
return
I purchased over $5500 in lighting. It took all of 2 Seconds to post to my credit card. I returned $222 of said purchase. 15 days later Noone can tell me what is going on with my credit. The store tells me to call credit card, credit card says to call pottery barn. Thats great except pottery barn has you on eternal hold.
Over 22 minutes and no one answer..More than twice now..One can only assume they have a lot of service problems if no one can get to the phone.
Not a good way to keep a customer
Furniture order - attempt to cancel
Order #[protected]. I placed an order online for a leather chair & ottoman. The total including shipping was nearly $2, 000. I read online right after placing the order that the dimensions of the inside seating area of the chair were only 18". This is much narrower than any other chair in my home so I called to cancel (since this is the ONLY way Pottery...

We received a Kendall Crib as a baby shower gift from a group of coworkers. We just moved into new house and went to assemble crib and the plastic teething rails are missing. My wife has spent a very unreasonable amount of time trying to get a replacement set (even agreeing to pay for it). She asked me to call and I got absolutely nowhere. The rep demands an order number which we do not have because this was a gift. We have spent many thousands of dollars at Pottery Barn and really are disappointed by the total lack of service. Without a positive resolution we will cancel are card and continue our relationship with Restoration Hardware. Restoration Hardware has been unbelievably responsive to the few issues we have had over the years.
Missing parts should not take this kind of unreasonable process to replace.
Please fix this problem.
Many Thanks-

sectional sofa, response to prior complaint, delivery issue, and failure to deliver or refund
I am a very disappointed consumer. In February, I purchased a sectional sofa at a cost of over $5, 000. When the sofa was delivered the workmanship was very poor, the slip covers did not fit properly, the cushions were pleating due to lack of fill, the cover on the frame was dragging on the ground. I called immediately and was given the run around for several days. I was told a "furniture medic" would be dispatched to look at the sofa issues to determine if it was fixable. After taking the day off of work, 2 delivery guys in a truck pulled up in front on my apartment and proceeded to run in with their truck running, advising that there was nothing they could do. It took several additional days to finally get in touch with an individual that agreed that the sofa was not at all up to standards and she put in an order for a new sofa with the old sofa to be picked up upon delivery. I received the replacement sofa in June. While it was better then the prior item, it still does not look good. The slip covers are still very poorly made and the fit is terrible. I noted the same on the delivery receipt and was told that someone would call me. Nobody ever called and I tried to talk myself into believing that it's not that bad but it is horrible. In the meantime, I ordered a side table. The table which weighed approx. 70 lbs was delivered via UPS to my door. The box was so big and so heavy there was no way for me to get it into my downstairs apartment. I had to hire someone to bring the box in and pull it out of the box. The item never should have been shipped. In addition, I also previously ordered a coffee table that I was hesitant to have delivered after so many problems. The table was never delivered nor was the money credited to my credit card. The best option would be for you to send a truck and return everything I purchased and refund my approx. $7, 000. Worst experience with what I thought was a reputable company. I have pictures of both sofas.
Sounds far too similar to my story. They delivered a broken Pearce sectional. Over 3 months to resolve, and the left hand did not know what the right hand was doing. NEVER AGAIN will I spend a dime with their entire family of brands. I'm not surprised that I found them on a list of corporations at risk for bankruptcy.
don't know what I am to do...
Not happy with the quality. You should understand. They claim the items are made in the US, but it's not true. It's clearly written on the items that they were made in China. But that's not the main problem.
What they really have to fix is their customer service department, that works terribly. I contacted them on Wednesday to find out what I had to do with the broken item they delivered. It's even unpacked, I saw it was broken from the very beginning. I didn't even want to refund, I needed to know how to exchange it. They said there's nothing they could do and sent me several links to read the policies which I didn't understand anyway. There's nothing written that I can't exchange or return the item.
So what's the truth, who can tell me? I'd be glad to hear from you.
pottery barn hudson bed
I purchased the Hudson collection in approximately 2011 order number [protected]. My bed side railing recently collapsed. Upon inquiry to Pottery Barn they told me that was normal wear and tear. When removing the mattresses too take the side rail to a furniture repair shop I noted improper installation of the bed. The slats used are too small and barely reach the left side which collapsed. It is clear that they put more than one screw in trying to adjust for the improper slats. One screw did not even make it into the side being. There is also a total of five total slats. One slat is missing the vertical support beam. All of these imperfections and installation led to the premature collapse of my bed. I don't believe the Hudson furniture should collapse after six years of normal wear and tear. I am a single mom I weigh approximately 180 pounds. That should not be excess wear and tear on the bed. The bed remains installed in its initial location. This is a failure of your delivery team to properly install a bed. Your customer service team including ACM told me that they cannot help me because it is out of the time frame needed to make a complaint. I don't believe any reasonable customer would stand by and observe your installation team placing the slats or remove the bed springs after they had installed them in order to see if they had done proper installation. There is no reasonable expectation that I would have noted the failure to properly install the bed prior to it collapsing. Therefore I feel Pottery Barn needs to address this problem. I am OK with the side rail being repaired as new rails would not match the current stain. But what I do need is a proper base/slats or this will just occur again.

beadboard bed
Placed order# [protected] last week. After I did, I found online reviews that indicated quality of this bed is not good and that assembly is very hard. I am disabled so difficult assembly is a deal breaker. Tried getting thru via phone for several days. Even after holding for 30 min, I never got a live person and their website says you can only cancel via phone. My order confirmation showed ship date of end of Oct. Finally I send FB message and they tell me can't cancel because it's already shipped, but don't provide a tracking #. I think it's a ploy to keep me from cancelling my order. It will be too expensive and heavy for me to ship back so I'll be stuck. Horrible customer service, never again.
shattered glass top dining table
Dear Sir / Madam,
We wrote to your Aus customer service email and am surprised and incredibly disappointed by a total lack of response, on what we would assume would be viewed as a serious, dangerous fault in your products?
We would appreciate at a minimum a full refund as we no longer have faith in your products.
Regards
Matthew and Su-Yin

Subject: Complaint - Shattered Dining Table
Dear Sir/Madam,
We are writing to lodge a formal complaint of your product and inform you of our utter disappointment in the poor quality of items you sell.
In October 2016 we purchased the Tanner Rectangular Dining Table noted below. This was for our new home which we moved into last year and were excited to have it in our home, given the reputation Pottery Barn has in the US.
To our horror, we returned home on Saturday 16 Sept 2017 (after a week away) to find the glass top seemingly imploding and glass pieces shattered all around our dining floor. Attached are pictures of this nightmare scene. We had assumed given the good name Pottery Barn has in the US, the dining table will be able to cope perfectly well with NORMAL home life? So we were absolutely flabbergasted when we greeted with our shattered dining table. The only silver lining in this incident is that our pet dog was not underneath it when it broke, nor were we having a meal on it with our feet beneath. If these had been the case, it is scary to think what injuries it would have caused to our dog or us.
This incident has left an extremely bad taste in our mouth and we would never feel safe buying another pottery barn product again.
Regards,
Matthew and Su-Yin

delivery of pottery barn kids bunk bed
Order #: [protected].
I had a bunkbed (Catalina Bunk Bed, Simply White - Item #: 9309217) delivered on Friday (9/15). The installation was unsuccessful despite paying $99.00 for shipping and processing. One of the bolt sets (bolt + nut) necessary for properly installing the bed was defective and could not be installed. The shipping company informed me that they contacted Pottery Barn Customer Support and that I would receive an email about receiving a new bolt. I have not received an email and I therefore am contacting you directly. Additionally, I noticed after the movers left that there are several large dark marks on one of the headboards which was hidden near the wall while the movers were at my home.
I specifically purchased a bed with installation from Pottery Barn to insure that I had a safe bed for my children and that it would arrive with white glove service. This installation of this bed has not meet my safety expectations nor white glove expectations.
I would like a refund of the delivery shipping and processing fee ($99.00) and I would like several (3) new bolt sets (bolt + nut) delivered so that I can install the bed myself.

area rugs
I order two area rugs from a Pottery Barn store in Indianapolis Indiana at the end of 2015. I was told the rugs would be delivered in a month or six weeksbut they're turned out to be a several week delay. So, I received my rugs at the end of the first-quarter-ish of 2016. Now one of those area rugs is simply falling apart. Pieces of the weaving are coming out so that you can see the back of the rug through the top of the rug. I called the store to see if there was a warranty and was told that Pottery Barn does not guarantee their rugs for any period of time. I am hoping I can get the rug repaired, so I bought a sample of the rug in case the repair person would need it. In addition to the fact that I am upset about the rug in general, and think it should be replaced, I called customer service to talk about it and was put on hold for 12 minutes before I abandoned the call. I found out that Pottery Barn does not have an email for customer service and so I am using this service. This changes how I feel about Pottery Barn in general. I consider myself to be a great customer and even though I have purchased a lot of things that I love, The fact the Pottery Barn does not stand behind a major purchase really bothers me and will make me change my shopping habits. Please let me know if there's anything that can be done about the situation because I can't even find a place to review an item that I ordered through a store. I can find where I can review an item that I purchased online but no where can I find a Pottery Barn.complace to review a purchase made within the store. Totally unacceptable. Thank you.

I am highly disappointed at lack of response and followup at Pottery Barn. I was informed of delay in my above stated order due to the delivery issues at the vendor, even the rescheduled delivery date range will be past due in the next couple of days but I have no news on delivery.
Where is the overrated sales ops and customer service at Pottery Barn. I will have to think hard for future business.
harper tufted tall bed
This will be long! I ordered a custom bed on April 30th. When I ordered the bed in the store in Dallas, the man said they would credit me the $150 surcharge. Received the bed on July 3rd. Delivery men thought slats were not correct size as they would not reach from one side rail to the other side rail. Called someone at PB. Talked to multiple people and multiple departments. Finally someone ordered a new set of slats. New slats were delivered sometime end of July or beginning of August. They refund me the $199 shipping, but NEVER the $150 surcharge. New delivery guys discovered bed was made WRONG and side rails should not be sticking out on the side and should be lined up even with the headboard...which is why the slats weren't fitting. So again they called someone at PB..took weeks of back and forth phone calls and finally after waiting 9 days for someone from the DQT to call me to set up an appointment for a furniture medic to come and assess the problem, they call. We get the appointment set up and bam I get an email saying the delivery ppl are coming to PICK UP the bed. Delivery guys call me and say they are coming to PICK UP the bed. I explain to them that is not what is supposed to be happening. They call PB AGAIN and no one can seem to help. I called who I thought was my main point of contact and she refers to my case worker with the DQT. I tried calling her multiple times and she doesn't answer and nor does she have her voicemail set up, so I can't even leave her a message now. SO...then I call the DQT again or so I thought and discover it's actually the furniture department. I was given the wrong number for the DQT. The girl says she will order me a new bed, but the fabric I currently have is out of stock. So she can order me another bed in a different fabric. I explain to her that I'm not going to pay the difference in price for the fabric because of all the MANY problems and issues I've had. She agrees and orders the new bed...which I might add will not be delivered till OCTOBER! I also explain to her that many ppl I have spoken with since July 3rd have said that I would be compensated for the issues. She said the price difference in fabrics is good enough and that they wouldn't charge shipping. I'm glad they are not charging me the price difference in fabrics, but feel that I should still be compensated heavily for ALL of these different issues that have taken place. This whole time my mattress has been on the FLOOR of my
bedroom and I have not been able to use the bed. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered in my life.
cannot get order even delivered!!!
I ordered a mattress, foundation, bed, and nightstand from Pottery Barn Teen. The delivery did not have the foundation and had two mattresses instead. It has been SIX WEEKS since I placed the order, and I still have NOT received the foundation for my daughter's bed. This company is incompetent! I cannot believe that their customer service is this poor. I want the foundation to my bed. I've paid for it.
