PromGirl Awesome customer service and overall purchase experience

I am just so amazed at both your customer order, receipt and return service! I ordered a mother of the bride dress online from prom girl on a weekend and it arrived within 2 business days. I found a dress in a bridal boutique for three times the price that I found the exact same dress online. I will admit I was a bit skeptical about ordering a dress on line as I wasn't sure if it would be the same quality or service. However after some research decided to order. Firstly I was amazed at how quickly it arrived. However I was disappointed in that the jacket was a different size from the dress. I decided to use the chat function and contact prom girl. Cynthia assisted me during this chat and by the time I got off the chat a replacement dress had been sent. I received it in two days. THank you prom girl for the excellent and speedy customer service.

PromGirl Second review

So this is my second review and my experience with the company was fine. I of course was very hesatent to order from them because of the reviews but I was so fed up with looking online and only finding Chinese based websites. Promgirl is located with the US so I was pleased with that. Shipping was fine for me, my dress was shipped the day after and received it literally in one week. It would've been soon but it was memorial day weekend so :/ I feel like people shouldn't order the fast delivery. They delivery fairly quickly I find 3-7 days and I just read that the fast delivery only shows up late. Also if you are still hesitate I strongly suggest that you look for dresses in stores. Its hard to tell which websites are good also if you have a problem with the dress I've read the policy sucks so just shop in person if you can. I hope you this helped someone!

PromGirl So happy!

I had my fair share of concerns about ordering a prom dress online, so I was a bit nervous when I found a dress I loved through promgirl and decided to go ahead and buy it. Luckily for me, I could not be more pleased. The dress was shipped the very next day and I was able to track my package until the exact moment it was on my doorstep... and it was right on time! It took me two days to get my dress and it was packaged very nicely. As I was cautious about not being able to try it on before I bought it, I did a lot of measuring while consulting the size chart and a few consultants on the website. The dress fits like it was made especially for me it's crazy! Also, not a single flaw was on the dress anywhere. The fit was great, the length was long enough, the details were spectacular, I am so, so incredible happy. I've never reviewed a website before but I had to because I was just so pleased. From initially being a bit skeptical I am now over the moon. 10/10.

PromGirl I saw a dress I liked at TT New York for prom and loved

I saw a dress I liked at TT New York for prom and loved it... but it was $300. I went online to prom girl and saw the same exact dress for $99. I wasn't sure if I should order because of the bad reviews, but I ordered anyway. I used a coupon for free overnight shipping ("PGCoupUP" exp. 7/1) and my dress was here the next day, no problems. Since I tried on the dress at a different store, I was almost 90% sure it would fit, and it did. The only thing that bothered me is that I asked a customer service representative if it came with a shawl and she told me no... but it did. I definitely wouldn't order a dress from here if I wasn't able to try it on or if I had a hard color to match up... the policy is right there on the website so I don't see how you're upset at the company... because they charge a restocking fee and return shipping. Most dress shops are final sale for ALL of their dresses and don't even offer store credit... but anyways besides the rep, shipping was fast, free and my dress came in perfect condition.

PromGirl Very pleased!

I ordered a gown from here months ago for a military ball. It was a final sale dress so I was taking a chance, but it ended up fitting and looked gorgeous for under $150. I plan on buying a simple white dress for my elopement soon as I loved the whole promgirl experience. My dress fit so well and shipped very quickly. The packaging of the dress even made me happy. Ordering such expensive dresses online is risky because you can't try them on before you pay for them, but if you're willing to take that risk, promgirl is a great website.

Some of the 1 star reviews on here are ridiculous. You need to read all the policies before you pick out a dress. If you get pay for three day shipping, it means three business days like 99% of other online sellers. If you pick out a final sale dress like I did, it's a big gamble but that isn't promgirl's fault. If the dress looks to be a different shade than what is offered, maybe your computer screen is off or the designer's pictures are adjusted by the designer. Promgirl isn't the manufacturer so it isn't their fault if a dress looks different. They sell authentic dresses from designers and they often have the absolute best prices from what I've seen. Do your research and figure out if you're okay with their policies. Don't complain if you don't look at their return policies and then are shocked when 10% of your refund isn't given back due to restocking fees.

PromGirl WILL ORDER AGAIN! MAYBE EVERY TIME WE NEED A DRESS!

My daughter had an upcoming prom and I mean in like 7 days. Last dress we bought for a semi put a $485 hole in my pocket. That dress was ordered from a "boutique" in our area. When she said she was asked to prom I wasn't too excited as I knew what it would cost me.
She kept looking online and had her heart set on a dress from a certain website. Now, she doesn't realize internet safety and what scams look like and webpages can make their own reviews. She thought the reviews on the webpage were so great! So, I did my research and found nothing good about this certain dress website and a whole pile of complaints. Buying anything from there wasn't happening!
She brought up PromGirl and again I was hesitant. I looked at reviews from all different review sites and everything said was good. I looked at their dresses and the prices and figured something had to be "off". They were so beautiful and so cheap!
We had to act fast as again, prom was just a week away. (She likes to procrastinate. I kept thinking our seamstress is going to be mad that we were there last minute for alterations.) We ordered a $140.00 dress with the 3 day express shipping. Box came later the next day! Dress was EXACTLY as pictured and fit her PERFECT!
I couldn't believe it! From now on we are ordering from PromGirl! I couldn't be more satisfied with everything!
When your a mom to a teen girl you know what I mean when I say they think nothing wrong of ordering something off any website. They have no concept of how much something is what bills you have to pay that month. When they need something its always last minute! I'm just grateful that next prom season won't cost a fortune as we will be ordering from PromGirl!

PromGirl My Terrible Experience with Promgirl.com - Don't Waste Your Money!

y'all listen up, I gotta tell you about my bad experience with promgirl.com. If y'all thinking of dropping some cash there, I'm telling you now, don't do it. I'm warning y'all, their inventory ain't worth your time.

It all started when my daughter was looking for dresses for her winter formal. She found this one dress she loved on promgirl.com and we decided to buy it. It was $149, but with free shipping. When it came, we had only one day before the event. My daughter tried it on real quick, noticed one (1) stain on the bottom of the dress, but we let it slide. We were busy steaming out wrinkles and stuff when we saw it. So ain't no way we could have found another dress. The next day, the dress started falling apart faster than than a rusty old jalopy in the scrap yard. Within 2 hours, one of the shoulder straps broke. A friend helped my daughter and tied the strap but later that evening the dress ripped apart at the waist too. Ain't no way that was my daughter's fault.

The dress fell apart in no time, I mean, within six (6) hours of her wearing it. It was completely ruined, and ain't gonna be worn again, that's for sure. I was real mad 'cos I spent $149 on a dress that got trashed in a few hours.

I called their customer service, and guess what they said? They told me this kind of damage doesn't happen much with the dresses they sell. Sure, that was real helpful. They didn't even have a standard time for their dresses to last. Plus, they only offered me $30 refund. Ain't no way, I’m telling y’all.

So, here's the bottom line. I'm telling y'all, I'm never gonna buy from them again. I told them too, I'm gonna do everything to inform everybody about the bad experience I had with their products. Don't waste your time and money on these scammers.

PromGirl PromGirl Review: Shady Business Practices & False Advertising; Do Not Recommend

I recently needed a dress for a wedding in February, so I decided to give PromGirl a try after seeing their reviews, although I was skeptical. I made sure to measure myself twice to be certain of my size. PromGirl advertised "free shipping, free returns, free alterations" all over their site, which sounded too good to be true. I made sure the dress I chose was not a "final sale" item before making my purchase.

The dress arrived relatively quickly, and I was excited to try it on. However, it was incredibly small and unflattering. I was not too concerned since I knew I could return it. I looked up their "Easy Returns & Exchanges" policy, but unfortunately discovered that returns are only accepted "within 7 days of receipt of item." I don't recall seeing this policy and would have returned it within 3 days to qualify for the "free returns" policy, but now I would have to pay $10. In addition, I found out that "free alterations" are only available for items over $150, and my dress was $149. I also learned that "Sale and Special Order items" can only be returned for store credit and that "final sale items" cannot be returned or exchanged.

I reached out to their customer service in a very nice email, apologizing for any confusion. Unfortunately, I received a curt email back from CS, who probably deals with this kind of situation frequently, informing me that I was too late to return the dress. I decided to call instead, and spoke to someone who sounded like a snotty 12 year old. They told me that I could get a store credit if I filled out a form and submitted photos. Frankly, I would rather just take the $150 hit and spread the word about PromGirl's shady business practices.

On a positive note, I will say the dress was good quality, but the measurements were not just a little bit off, they were WAY off. In conclusion, I urge you not to do business with this company or you run the risk of being part of a scam.

PromGirl Terrible customer service and logistical mistakes: Avoid shopping at PromGirl

PromGirl is the worst place to shop! Kelly and the other customer service reps are not helpful at all. They just want to make their lives easier and don't care about the customer. I had to return two dresses because they were either late or defective, and they made it impossible for me to do so. They kept giving me conflicting information and refusing to be fair. It's ridiculous that they would treat their customers like this! They need to learn how to provide good customer service.

In addition to their terrible customer service, PromGirl also made a lot of logistical mistakes like shipping late or damaged products. This just shows that they don't care about their customers and have no respect for their business. They need to learn how to ship products properly and make sure they're in good condition.

I followed all of PromGirl's terms of service and returned the dresses in the same condition I received them, but they still refuse to give me a refund. This is unacceptable! I will be disputing the charges with my bank and telling everyone I know about this terrible experience. I will never shop at PromGirl again and will go out of my way to warn others about them.

It's important for companies to treat their customers with respect and fairness, and PromGirl has failed in this regard. Don't waste your time shopping here!

PromGirl PromGirl Review: Beautiful Dresses, Terrible Customer Service & Return Policy

My experience with PromGirl was a complete bummer. I had high hopes since their dresses looked super cute, but unfortunately I had some problems with my orders. I placed two orders with them, and the first one I got a 10% off coupon just for being a new customer. I was so excited to try out their dresses, but when I got the dress it was too small. So, I decided to return the dress and asked to use the coupon for a redo. However, they said no :(

I decided to order another dress anyway, but this time I ordered two, just to make sure I would have at least one option for the event I was going to. The problem was, when I received my package, one dress didn't fit me. So, I went to look for their return policy and found out they only offer 7 days to do a return. I didn't know that before, and I was two days over the limit. I was so upset because both dresses were in perfect condition, never worn, still inside their original packaging and with the tags on.

To make things worse, I couldn't get in touch with anyone from their customer service team over the phone. They only have one phone number which goes straight to voicemail. So, I sent an email explaining my situation, and they referred me to their policy guidelines, which I had already read and tried to follow. I even wrote in their pre-order questionnaire that my event date was not for a while, so I had time to return the dress. Still, they didn't want to help me or make any exceptions, and I couldn't believe they didn't have any supervisors I could speak to.

Look, I know that I should have read the return policy more carefully, but I'm not the only one who's ever made this mistake. I just wish they had more compassion and were willing to help me out. It's clear that they only care about getting their money, and that's not what customer service is about. It's a shame because they really do have some gorgeous dresses. However, with their lack of customer service, I would definitely suggest looking for other vendors that offer better customer service and beautiful dresses.

PromGirl Worst Customer Service Ever: Size Mix-Ups and False Promises from Dress Company

I've had two experiences with this company, which unfortunately turned out to be two of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. The first dress I ordered was a Mori Lee black dress and when it arrived, it was in good condition. However, being a size 0, I expected the dress to be a little long, but it was extremely long! When I hung it from my 8-foot door frame, it almost touched the floor! Furthermore, the chest area was meant for someone with double D boobs. This dress was definitely not meant for most size 0 girls. I was disappointed, but I was told that the shipping and restocking fee would be waived. Unfortunately, the shipping fee was not waived, which only added to my frustration.

Hoping for a better experience, I decided to order another dress from them - this time a La Femme dress, also in size 0. However, when I received the dress the day before my event, it was a size 8! Needless to say, I was annoyed and called their customer service to resolve the issue. They reassured me that I would receive a full refund and that it would be taken care of. Once again, I was told that the shipping fee would be waived but it was not.

At this point, I was fed up and called them to explain the situation. However, the person I talked to practically accused me of lying when I told them about the size 8 dress that I received. They then shifted the blame by saying that the dress they received was actually a size 0 and that it was my fault that I didn't take pictures before shipping it back. As a customer, I was appalled! I always thought that the customer is always right! They even made a switch by saying that it was labeled incorrectly but then said that it was measured incorrectly.

I waited 20 minutes to speak to a manager, hoping to finally resolve the issue. However, after 20 minutes of waiting, the same girl I spoke with earlier returned to the line telling me that no one was available to speak with me and that they would do their best to refund me the $8 shipping fee. This experience left a terrible impression on me. If a company values $8 more than their loyal customer, then they definitely need to reconsider their priorities.

PromGirl Honest Review: My Experience With Promgirl.com - Designer Dresses Worth the Investment!

I been using this website promgirl.com for buying dresses for my prom and winter. It's been a great experience every time I order from here. I am their regular customer. Not only me but my mom also loves this website.

If you want a quick delivery, then check for the dresses that are in-stock. I highly recommend buying designer dresses such as Sherri Hill, LaFemme, Jovani, Flirt!, Shail K, etc. They may cost you a bit more but it's worth it since you will get the authentic dress from the designer company directly. The quality of the dress will be very good. Personally, I buy LaFemme dresses from here and they are authentic as it has authenticity tags on the dress. Also, the dresses match exactly as in the picture. The color swatches are quite accurate, and material is beautiful and of good quality.

Before placing the order, I suggest reading the refund/return policies carefully. Many people don't do that and then have problems. Although Mailing measurement can be tricky for online shopping, you should double-check before buying.

Don't solely rely on customer service to solve any issues. Promgirl has strict rules but they are fast in responding through emails. However, it's always best to take precautions when ordering online.

For those who live outside the country, I recommend buying from within your own country to avoid paying custom fees and international shipping fees. It will save money.

This opinion comes from a teenager who is not getting any payment or advertising from the website. It's just a pure honest experience.

I recently ordered my Lafemme dress for graduation in June and I am hoping to get it soon. I will continue to buy dresses from Promgirl.com as they have never disappointed me.

PromGirl PromGirl Review: Cute Dress, Fast Shipping, Be Careful with Returns (3/5 stars)

Just wanted to share my experience with PromGirl. So I came across this website and saw this cute dress, Strapless Short Multi-Color Animal Print Dress and I was like wowza I need it! At first I was scared to buy it because I saw some negative reviews, but then I thought, hey it's only $34 so I took my chances and bought it anyways on Tuesday. Next day it was shipped from New Jersey and got delivered to my house (which is like 3 hours away) by Thursday. I did get a little nervous when I didn't receive a shipping notification email, so just a heads up, always check the order status page. Other reviewers said they messed up their orders so I was scared too, but thankfully when I received the dress, it looked exactly like the photo so I was happy about that. One thing I recommend is ordering a size that's bigger than you think you need. Even though I'm a petite size 0, I ordered size 3 and it fit perfectly. The dress was just amazing!

However, I wouldn’t recommend buying an expensive dress from this website since their return policy is maybe not too great. If you need to return something, you have to pay shipping and they charge a restocking fee so there's no guarantee that you’ll get your money back. Honestly, I didn't use their customer service so I can't say much about it. Based on other people's comments, it doesn't sound too promising either. This is just my personal experience and my opinion, look around and do what feels right for you. Try going to your local dress boutique if possible, where they can take your exact measurements and you can see the quality of the dress beforehand. I only gave them three stars because I stressed a little bit about whether or not they would actually ship my dress in time and because of their business practices. Don't get me wrong, the dress was the perfect fit and amazing quality, but sometimes it's just not worth the hassle. On the other hand, if you have enough time and patience, then go for it! PromGirl PromGirl Dress Disaster: A Warning for Prom Dress Shoppers

For my junior prom night last year, I decided to order a dress from PromGirl that looked almost exactly like a Sherri Hill dress that I had been eyeing for months. I knew it was a knockoff because Hill had listed all their authorized retailers on their website, but couldn't resist the temptation to save a few bucks. Unfortunately for me, my experience turned out to be a total disaster.

To start with, the dress arrived quite quickly, which was impressive. But as soon as I pulled it out of the box, I knew something wasn't right. The material was cheap and the seams were already visible. The beading was tacky and the mesh-like back was itchy in an unbearable way. Worst of all, the zipper was pathetic! Don't you hate it when you sit down too fast and then you hear the distinctive sound of your dress zipper struggling to hold together? This dress was ten times worse than that. For some inexplicable reason, the zipper met the waistband at a strange diagonal angle that made it look as if I had a pyramid-shaped hump attached to my rear-end.

But trust me, the dress's zipper issue wasn't even the most horrible thing about it. The mesh lining was so tight, I could barely breathe. And even though I used my iron to try and iron out all the wrinkles, my efforts proved to be futile. The dress was so horribly wrinkled, it almost didn't pass for a dress anymore.

What was supposedly a beautiful hi-low dress became the butt of jokes among my friends and me. We spent a good part of the night laughing at how ridiculous the dress looked on me. The seams were so noticeable, and what was supposed to be a beautiful hem turned out to be a weird plastic gadget that made my waist disappear.

Not wanting to ruin my prom night, I purchased another dress in a panic on the day before the event. And thankfully, that dress turned out to be super elegant. In fact, I got a lot of compliments, which made me momentarily forget about the PromGirl disaster I had just gone through.

Although the quality of the PromGirl dress was terrible, I must admit that it did look stunningly beautiful when I saw it online. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out to be what I expected at all. I would advise anyone ordering from PromGirl to purchase with caution and always check and double-check the reviews before placing an order. Otherwise, you might end up going home and throwing your dress out the window while driving on the highway like I did!

PromGirl PromGirl Review: Terrible Customer Service, Unfulfilled Promises, and No Credit for Non-Delivered Dress

I came across some reviews about PromGirl while trying to advise my friend against buying a dress from their website for an upcoming wedding. I had previously ordered a dress from PromGirl back in 2012, and unfortunately it did not arrive on time. I was out of town and leaving the hotel the next day, and the dress was scheduled to arrive the following Monday. We had no other choice but to express mail a dress for a pageant, however, the shipper couldn’t deliver on Saturday, which meant we had no access to the dress. We tried our best to somehow get hold of the dress but unfortunately, nothing seemed to work out. PromGirl was already aware that the shipper was not working on that particular day, but they still assured us that the dress would reach us on time.
Fast forward to the present: the dress did not arrive, and we had to purchase another one that cost us twice the price. So, we contacted PromGirl's customer service team. One of their representatives said that they would handle the return of the dress and that we would receive a credit. She also mentioned that we could use the credit on our next purchase. Frankly, I was unhappy about the credit, but since we had gotten the dress on sale and I needed many more dresses as I was producing pageants, I still felt like we could use the credit for an appearance. We also told the representative that we would notify the hotel to return the dress in case it got delivered. However, the dress never arrived, and PromGirl never honored the credit. They even had terrible customer service, which left me disheartened. We ended up paying for two dresses - one we bought in Miami at a higher price and the one we ordered from PromGirl that never came.
I now purchase a lot of clothing items that require dresses just like PromGirl provides, but I refuse to use their website due to their poor customer service. I would rather take the time to google dresses and buy from their competitors instead. PromGirl, just a heads up, your market share is important. If you want to continue growing, then you need to adjust your customer service and train your representatives to not make promises you will not follow through with. Remember, God is just in the end.

PromGirl Terrible Customer Service Experience with PromGirl: Wild Return Policy and Unhelpful Staff

I just gotta say something about this website, PromGirl (promgirl.com). I'm not usually one to write reviews, but I really had to let this out. First of all, dealing with this website was a total nightmare. They have so many rules and regulations that it seems like returning a dress is impossible, unless you send it back right away. I tried to return a dress for a refund, but they emailed me and told me it was past their deadline. So, they were gonna make me pay THEM to ship my dress back to me! I had to pay more money or my dress would just sit there, not working for me and no refund either. That's just wild, isn't it?

The dude on the phone, he was such a jerk! He was condescending and tough to deal with. I mean, all I wanted was someone to help me out, but I got nowhere. When I finally talked to someone else, they just said that the guy I talked to before was just doing what he was told. They talked about the condition of the dress, saying it might get damage from living with cats or smoking...but we don't smoke and we don't have pets! So, what gives?

We found out pretty quickly that the dress wasn't gonna work, so we let them know we wanted to return it. But, apparently, you only get 5 days to return it, so if you don't do it in time, it's a no-go. And, even if you do return it, they'll charge you a restocking fee, which doesn't sound too cool to me. I've ordered dresses from tons of other sites and never had a problem like this. Once I even ordered a dress that didn't work out from another site, and they gave me a full refund!

The customer service, I gotta say, was just terrible. They didn't care about helping me at all, just kept telling me their policies. That's not good customer service. I work in retail, and I know this doesn't go over well with customers. All the books you read about leading successful businesses say the complete opposite of what PromGirl is doing. I mean, they still even sell the dress I tried to return...so their excuse of it being "seasonal" is just a load of bull.

It's interesting, actually, how hard it was for me to find a place to write a review of them. Makes me wonder if they're hiding their bad reviews...just sayin'. I'm just really disappointed by how unhelpful their customer service was. They didn't want to help me at all, just follow their policies. But, I work with people all the time and I know that's not good. It's just a really sad situation when customer service is like that, you know?

PromGirl Should have read the reviews before buying. EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAID!

Just like everyone else has talked about, this website was a HORRIBLE to deal with. They have soo many policies in place to make sure that it is IMPOSSIBLE to return the dress, unless you basically send it back the day you got it. I sent the dress back to get a refund, they emailed me to tell me it was over their date and I would have to PAY THEM shipping to have them ship my dress back, or the dress would just sit there and wouldn't give me a refund.
The gentlemen on the phone was rude, condescending and unhelpful. I kept trying to talk to someone who would help me out and basically got no where. When I finally got a hold of someone else to talk to, she basically said " I am the one who told him to tell you these things". They talked about the condition of the dress and being in smokey homes or with pets and that can damage the dress and quality... My stepdaughter tried on the dress 1 time. We don't smoke and we don't have pets... They had the dress there. If it didn't pass some sort of inspection or something, I would understand, but it sat in the box that it came in!
We found out that the dress wouldn't work pretty much right away, so I contacted them to let them know that I wanted to return in. Oh and yippie, you don't get the full refund because of a restocking fee! The dress was at my step daughters mothers house, so it took a little bit more time for her to bring over and return. Apparently you only have like 5 days to get it back to them. So since it was over the 5 days they couldn't accept it.
I was told by the customer service department that these are similar policies to other companies. WRONG i ordered dresses from a ton of other places online and have NEVER had this problem. In fact I ordered a dress for her to try on around the same exact time and sent it back the same time and they took it back, 100% refund.

You can tell by the comments that this Kim is giving that you don't actually respect feedback. I work in a customer service retail business... and EVERY single book you will read about successful leaders and companies do the exact opposite of what you guys are doing. All you do in your comments is tell people why they are wrong and why your policies are in place. You still sell the dress I tried to return to you. So your excuse of it being "seasonal" is a load of crap.

No wonder you have to search to give you guys a review... I have a feeling you have hid them so people can't see it.

I guess I am most floored by how unhelpful the costumer service department was. They were not willing to help in the slightest. Just kept telling me about their policies. It still doesn't make sense. I work with people every day and this goes against everything we teach our people. It's just sad.

PromGirl Prom Girl: Terrible Customer Service, Don't Bother Ordering From Them!

Don't even think about ordering from Prom Girl! I had such a bad experience with them, and I don't want anyone else to go through what I did. They told me that I could return a dress my daughter bought even though it was past the 7 day return policy. But when I tried to return it, they said that they didn't have any record of the extension and refused to take the dress back. Can you believe that? This is the second time this has happened to me. The first time, I had to fight with them to get a refund, and it was a huge hassle. This time was even worse - they were totally rude and acted like it was my fault that they lost the record of the call. It was a "too bad, so sad" kind of attitude, and I was really disappointed.

I'm pretty sure that they lost the call recording on purpose - they knew they were in the wrong and just didn't want to admit it. And to make it even worse, they promised to have a supervisor call me back, but no one ever did. It's been two months now, and I still haven't heard anything. It's just ridiculous.

If you're thinking about ordering from PromGirl, don't do it. They treat their customers horribly, and their customer service is pretty much non-existent. I'm not the only one who's had problems with them, either - if you read other reviews, you'll see that lots of people have had issues with returns or getting refunds. It's just not worth the headache. So save yourself the trouble and avoid Prom Girl at all costs.

PromGirl PromGirl's Shipping Error Ruined My New Year's Eve: A Cautionary Tale

I got myself a smashing dress for a fancy New Year's Eve party in vibrant New Orleans from PromGirl. I was excited to receive it and flaunt it on a night of glamour and blitz. PromGirl PromGirl Review: Don't trust their return policy and customer service, it's a joke. Don't waste your money on them

I got this dress from PromGirl for my daughter's prom and it just doesn't fit. Mind you, I already bought it back in March for the June prom, but it's too late for an exchange. PromGirl won't allow it, even though I'm not asking for my money back, I just wanted a different size. They sell prom dresses online but are not willing to accommodate exchanges unless it's within seven days. But who knows if a dress will fit in just a week? When I got in touch with their customer service, they said that a return and an exchange was the same thing. The return policy on their website is so confusing. And when I tried to clarify that there was a "no wear date" in June, I was told that my dress couldn't be considered exchanged because I didn't wear it. What a joke.

I'd advise you all to think twice before getting a dress from PromGirl, unless you're ready to take the risk of losing everything - the purchase price, tax, and shipping fee. It's just plain ridiculous. I've been shopping online from I don't remember when, and I've never given a bad review before. The customer service rep even hung up and stopped answering my calls. If I can't trust that, then I don't know what I can trust.

I'm a customer and I had the misfortune of dealing with this company and I'm telling you, don't waste your money on them. Why wouldn't they care about repeat sales? They're even linked with SimplyDresses.Com and BelleOftheBallGowns.com -it's the same number for all of them. But I won't even give them a rating. PromGirl Disappointed with PromGirl Customer Service: A Review

So, I wanted to share my experience with PromGirl with everyone here. I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with the customer service I received when I called their hotline. I mean, I know people are tough on these websites, but I think I have a right to rant a bit.

Here's what happened. I ordered this amazing $378 dress for my prom and paid 30 bucks for overnight shipping. I ordered it on a Thursday night, so I figured it would get here on Friday. But no, it won't be here until Monday. If only I had ordered earlier on Thursday, it would be here by now, which is Saturday. But I shook it off, thinking I'll survive.

But then I called customer support to ask what the heck is going on. The woman on the other end was so rude to me. I don't even know her name, but she made me feel like an idiot. I called back and asked to speak to a manager. Luckily, the manager was super nice and made me feel better. She said that she'd received complaints before about the rude woman and promised to do something about it.

I didn't get reimbursed for the overnight shipping, but the manager's kindness won me over. PromGirl has a great selection of dresses, and I'd order from them again. But watch out for those rude reps on the phone and be sure to ask for the manager if you get one. Companies should always strive to make their customers happy.

PromGirl PromGirl Review: Terrible Quality, Hidden Fees, and Poor Delivery

This website is not worth your time or money. I made the mistake of ordering from PromGirl and it ended up with me having to pay $104 and still not having a dress for my friend's wedding. As with any other website that I've purchased dresses from, I ordered three different sizes to make sure I got the perfect fit. In total, I spent around $1000 on those dresses. However, none of them looked or fit like the pictures shown online. I was so disappointed that I returned them the very next day.

But things didn't end there. PromGirl charged me a 10% restocking fee for each dress. I wasn't aware of this fee before purchasing from them, as it was written in small print somewhere on the website. So I ended up losing even more money just because I wanted to find the perfect dress.

If that's not enough, the box my dresses came in was torn and almost destroyed. Even their shipping and handling left much to be desired. I had to pay $30 extra for express shipping, as I wanted the dresses to arrive before the weekend. Plus, they charged me another $8 for the return shipping fee. All in all, it was a very disappointing experience. I wish I had never ordered from them in the first place.

If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy website to purchase dresses from, PromGirl is not it. They'll take your hard-earned money and give you nothing in return.

PromGirl PromGirl Ruined My Prom Experience: Horrible Return Policy and Customer Service

I gotta tell ya, this situation I am in is just completely ridiculous. As a high schooler, I saved up my pennies to buy myself a dress for prom on PromGirl's website. I thought that it would be way smarter if I got the dress way in advance, just in case something goes wrong or there's a dress I like better, right? But no, that wasn't the case at all. They just ended up ruining my whole prom experience.

I dropped a whooping $300 on the dress and after getting it in the mail, I realized that it was a bit too big. It was definitely not something I could fix myself and didn't want to pay for alterations that weren't guaranteed to turn out well. So, I went online to get a return number and I remember looking over their return policy like the back of my hand, just to make sure I did everything right.

I waited for a couple of days to hear back from them about my request and when I didn't get anything, I assumed that it'd show up soon. But after two whole weeks, I was getting a bit impatient and decided to contact their customer service team. They told me that it was already past the return period, even though I had submitted a request in that timeframe. I kept going back and forth with the customer service rep, trying to make them understand my situation but they wouldn't budge. They didn't care that I was just a high school student who had saved up for this dress and wouldn't accept my explanation that there may have been a mistake in the system.

Needless to say, I was beyond ticked off. I couldn't believe that they weren't willing to help me out when I explained that I couldn't afford to keep the dress that I wasn't even going to wear. PromGirl PromGirl Review: Horrible Experience with Faulty Dresses and Poor Customer Service

I gotta admit, I had a very bad experience with PromGirl. My first order arrived with a default on the dress, wasn't happy at all! So, I contacted them and they sent me a shipping label to send it back. But guess what? The second dress came with another fault on it! Can you believe it? One of the straps was longer than the other, I felt like screaming. Yet again, I had to send pictures and the dress back. After a lot of back and forth, they promised me that the new dress would arrive on time without any default. But it didn't! I was supposed to be a bridesmaid at my best friend's wedding and I didn't have a dress to wear.

I was so disappointed. I called them back to cancel everything and asked for my money back, but it was a hassle. Their customer service was poor, to say the least. Every time I called, I felt like I was talking to a robot. I even had to make long-distance calls, which added more money to the total bill. Finally, after a lot of debates, they agreed to give me a refund, which was approximately $300 Canadian dollars.

But that's not the end of it. They told me they had opened an investigation with UPS, and I had to wait for my refund until they received the dress back. I was outraged. Why did I have to wait for my money? It's my money! I couldn't understand. After several days, they called me and promised to send an email for the refund when they received the dress. But here's the kicker: they hadn't even received the first dress back, yet they sent me the second dress. So why did I have to wait for my refund when they clearly didn't even receive the first dress?

I've decided to write this review and let everyone know about the problem. People need to know how PromGirl keeps their money and has poor customer service. I hope they learn from their mistakes and start working on their customer service skills. I'm just happy to say that they are giving me all my money back now, and I hope I never have to deal with them again.

PromGirl Terrible Customer Service, Do Not Use This Website!

This website is totally whack, don't even think of giving them your time and money. The customer service is the worst that I have ever experienced, and they are super unprofessional. I had the horrible misfortune of buying a dress from them in 2011, and it was nothing like the picture. I wanted to return it and get a new one in 2012, even though it had been over a year since I bought it. The lady I spoke with on live chat insisted that it was okay, even though I had doubts. She gave me a return authorization code and I sent the dress back, paying $25 for shipping. I was supposed to receive store credit, but 2 weeks later, I hadn't heard anything. I reached out to them on live chat and was told that my return could not be processed because it had been over a year since I bought it. I was furious! I told the lady that I was given a code and sent the dress back, but she didn't care and basically said too bad. She gave me a number and told me to call the manager, who turned out to be an absolute idiot. This guy couldn't even form a sentence properly and didn't really seem to know what to say. I told him that his company made a mistake and wasted my time, but he acted like it wasn't a big deal. He didn't even ask who gave me the code and didn't seem to care about the mistake at all. Even though it was obviously their mistake, he wouldn't do anything to help me. To make matters worse, they had my dress for over a week and didn't bother to tell me anything until I complained. They didn't even apologize for their mistake. This website is terrible, and I will never use them again.

PromGirl PromGirl Review: Unreliable Shipping & Risky Return Policy for Dresses - Look Elsewhere

So I gave PromGirl a call to see if they had the Sherri Hill 8300 in white and size 2, you know, the perfect prom dress. They told me that it would ship on April 12th but I really wanted to make sure it would be there. The customer service person said that usually, they send out the dresses on that date, but it's possible that it might be delayed for a day or two. She explained that they order the dresses directly from Sherri Hill and don't keep them in their warehouse.

I didn't want to rely on just their word for it, so I called up Kotsovas, the fancy clothes store here in Cincinnati where we got my daughter's homecoming dress last year. They had to order her size from Sherri Hill last year and it only took 5 days to get here, so I thought maybe they could help us out this time. However, they told me that no one in the city can order Sherri Hill dresses anymore for prom. If any stores have them in stock, great. Otherwise, we're out of luck.

I'm glad I didn't order from PromGirl, though. That whole April 12th shipping thing seemed too sketchy, like they were just trying to get us to give them our money without guaranteeing anything. And reading their refund and return policy made me even more wary. I don't want to risk not even getting a dress and still paying hundreds of dollars for it.

We're heading to Kotsovas later today and I'm sure they'll have plenty of beautiful prom dresses for my daughter to choose from. It might cost us a little more, but at least we're supporting our local store and we know for sure that we'll get what we pay for.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend PromGirl for prom dresses. It's too risky and there are better options out there. Just be careful and do your research before buying from any online store.

PromGirl Beware of Hidden Delivery Charges when Shopping at PromGirl from Ireland

So if you reside in Ireland and are planning to shop at PromGirl (promgirl.com), do not trust their 'International Expedited delivery' options that pop up at checkout. Even if you pay for it, there is more to come, and boy, will it shock you, just like it shocked me!

I bought a dress for a whopping Eur184, and then the dreaded delivery package arrived. I was expected to pay an extra Eur102.80 for 'VAT and Duty' charges, which were payable directly to UPS. You would think they would have mentioned this in the online shopping process, but no! The vague 'Freight and VAT' description in their very small print gives you absolutely no indication of this extra delivery cost.

Not once during the shopping process was I informed of this extra cost. So, not only did I have to pay for the International Expedited Charges when I checked out, but they added another fee upon delivery. And the worst part is, you have to pay or forget about your dress. It's like they have got you by the neck, and they know it.

This is sneaky and a real letdown. Customers deserve to know that there is another costly charge upon delivery. They should make it clear right from the beginning how much extra it'll cost to receive the dress.

I reached out to PromGirl customer service on May 11th and outlined my predicament, but I got an automated response with a link to their terms and conditions, which did not help at all. They showed no willingness to engage in a conversation about their practices.

So, to help someone else avoid this trap, please make sure you're informed about these extra fees before committing to a purchase on PromGirl. Don't fall into the same trap as I did and end up getting robbed at your door.

PromGirl Refund Refusal

I ordered a dress from this site, and it was beautiful. I actually loved the quality of the dress. I decided that it was not what I was looking for, so I returned it. I returned within the the period allowed for returns. They are now refusing to give a refund for the order. They claimed there was a stain on the dress. There is absolutely no way I stained this dress. I only had it on for a total of three minutes. I tried it on and put it right back in the box. They stated that I can just take the loss. They even said it could have been their fault for the stain, but they weren’t sure, so it was my loss.

PromGirl Poor quality

I bought my daughter a Sherry Hill dress for prom. When we got it there were 2 small holes along the seams on the sides. After wearing it for 30 minutes there appeared another hole in the seam on the side and also a hole in the seam in the back. My daughter was totally devastated as her prom was only an hour away.
Very very disappointed by the lack of quality making of this dress.
I will never buy another dress from them again.

PromGirl Terrible experience

Please, don't order from them if you don't like to pay for something that has a bad reputation.
My husband always says that before ordering people should read all the information about the website, the company and the way they operate. But people rarely do this. Just like me.

What I can say about the PromGirl website. They ship obviously bad clothes that looks like a cheap crap wrapped in a beautiful cover presented on the website. The only beautiful thing is the photos on the website. The items look completely different. I ordered just once to understand I don't want to deal with them anymore.
High rates for a cheap crap, it's not worth it. The quality is horrendous as well. So run away. Don't waste your money and time.

PromGirl bad quality

I bought 3 dresses and when I opened the package I was a little shocked. The fabric material was so thin that I could see my body through it, it was almost transparent. And it looked so bad sewed and cheap, I couldn't wear it anywhere at all, not even at home. Too bad. One of the dress was with a hole near the sleeve, and another one was a smaller size. The third dress was ok, but still looked cheap and poorly made. Shame on you for selling terrible clothes. They are going to the garbage, don't even want to contact them for a refund, I know it will be a headache.

PromGirl too cheap

I purchased three dresses from them. One of them looked incredibly beautiful on the website and I decided that it had to be mine. But that was just an illusion because what I got was completely different. The fabric material was worse than I only could imagine. I 'd be too embarrassed to wear it even at home, not speaking of going out. Looked tooooooooo cheap. Asked for a refund promising them to send these dresses as usual. They said that it's impossible due to our policies. Great.

PromGirl dress

First and last time I will purchase from this site. They would not accept my return because it was not requested within 7 days. Return policy is misleading, please be sure to read the fine print. A supervisor said that the item is not longer being offered in the size I purchased so they would not make an exception. The dress size was large and of poor quality. Buyer beware!

PromGirl unethical behaviour, delivery problems, rude assistants

I have placed my order on the 24th of May and paid for one business day delivery. The reason why I chose one business day option was that one of my friends was in Chicago and she was coming back to Turkey on the 26th. It was supposed to be in Chicago on the 25th but instead it arrived on the 27th. I tracked my order on the 26th with one of Prom Girl's assistants and I was promised to receive it by 17:30 however it didn't. My friend got back. In order to transfer the parcel to another destination in the US for getting the dress on time for my daughter's prom night I had to pay another extra money. I called Prom Girl for refund but the most annoying person I have ever met said that they can't refund it but the only thing they can do is to charge me for two business days and refund the difference between one day and two days option. A mistake or delay can happen but there is always a way to compensate. If you are not willing to compensate your faults then you should stop making them. I will never ever shop from you again and I will spread this bad experience of mine.
