Rabbit Movers I moved on July 2nd, 2022

I moved on July 2nd, 2022. I paid Rabbit Movers more than $1000. The original crew didn't show up, and they sent someone 2 hours late. I had emailed them to drop off my sofa at a specific place, but they also left my coffee table there. Now I don't have my table, and they won't retrieve it. It's really disappointing. I work hard and don't appreciate being tricked. Please intervene and address the theft of my table.

Rabbit Movers Scheduled a virtual (****) estimate and they didn't show up

Scheduled a virtual (***) estimate and they didn't show up. I called the company about 15 minutes after the scheduled time and (after being transferred 3 times) was connected to someone who said he's the owner. Instead of taking any responsibility (or even saying sorry) for the no show or the fact that no one bothered to inform me that the person who scheduled the estimate was sick and they needed to reschedule, he was really rude and unprofessional and kept interrupting me.

Rabbit Movers Terrible moving service, beware if you have anything nice or valuable to move - don't use Rabbit Movers

Terrible moving service, beware if you have anything nice or valuable to move - don't use Rabbit Movers. Pay more and get professional assistance. These guys were 2 hours late, did a messy job packing, scratched my leather couch, dented lamp shades, and broke a big mirror. Then they left without taking off the tape or ensuring their garbage/boxes were cleared. Be careful! I don't understand why the website claims to employ artists and creatives - my movers were 2 guys from the neighborhood who have nothing to do with art. They were impolite and uncouth, and this has been the worst move I've ever experienced. I will file a formal complaint and demand that the company pay for the damages and give me a discount for such a terrible moving job.

Rabbit Movers I paid Rabbit Movers on 4/29/2022 $1,000 to move my things from where I used to live to my new address

I paid Rabbit Movers on 4/29/2022 $1,000 to move my things from where I used to live to my new address. They came and checked my things, but then the man who was supposed to order his men to move my stuff said to me, "We can't move your things because it's not what I was told on the phone." I was like, "What? It's everything I told you!" So he called his boss, *** - he was talking in Spanish, so I didn't understand anything. Then *** called *** and said I have to pay $1500 more. So I told him, "I can't! That was not the deal!" He started to curse at me on the phone, so nasty, using only *, and I told him, "Your men have to take my things!" He said no and slammed the phone down on me. I called again, but he said, "No, my men are gone." This company is a ***! Right now, I'm with the bank to get back my money. Please, if you are reading my review, don't choose Rabbit Movers in Brooklyn. I will certainly never use them again!

Rabbit Movers We moved at the end of June and found out while unpacking that we're missing a couple things

We moved at the end of June and found out while unpacking that we're missing a couple things. Funny enough, these things are brand new and unopened. Some of them are birthday gifts for my kids, like unopened lego boxes, snacks, and new adidas collector samba shoes that my husband loves. I'm not saying someone stole them, but they're definitely MISSING. It's sickening to think someone would stoop so low as to steal from a child. It really makes me sick. And let's not forget, I'm really mad because we paid a lot (3.5k) for the move and gave the movers a GREAT tip. They never even bothered to do an inventory. Among the things that were "lost" are a 1.5 bag of almonds, a 3 liter can of olive oil (CAN YOU BELIEVE IT), and fruit and nut bars from Costco. Basically, I paid for people to come to my house and "lose" these brand new items. I feel violated and the company hasn't responded to my requests to make things right. My family is upset and as a result, I'm upset too. If you're thinking about using this company, would you really do it? I definitely wouldn't.

Rabbit Movers Here's a response

Here's a response. This is the email I sent to the owner after a nightmare of an experience. Please stay far away from this guy. He is frightening. He should not be in business. Here's a response from the owner after I sent him an email about him screaming at me, insulting me, threatening to not move my stuff, and telling me to go see a therapist. This was traumatizing. Please stay away. This guy should be locked away for his anger issues. He is bound to hurt someone. ***, I welcome your posting, to add I will be giving you a full refund bc your A single mother with obvious personal issues. How that your not a paying customer, Please take that money and dont message my company again. Please post whatever the *** you like on social media. If you want a coupon code for *** so you can talk to a therapist please let me know. Please enjoy your life I hope you find happiness somehow. ?*** Ceo Rabbit Movers Keep in mind Im a widow. I cancelled a scamming moving company and had to hire this one as a backup. He is truly a disgusting person. Stay away. I had to star the curse words to let me post.

Review:
I had a really bad experience with Rabbit Movers. I sent an email to the owner about how he screamed at me, insulted me, and threatened not to move my stuff. He even told me to go see a therapist. It was really traumatizing. I suggest staying away from this guy. He has serious anger issues and could end up hurting someone. The owner's response was just as terrible. He insulted me and made rude comments about me being a single mother. He even mentioned my failed relationship. Another moving company canceled on me, so I had to hire Rabbit Movers as a backup. It was a horrible decision. This guy is a disgusting person. I had to censor the curse words to be able to post this review.

Rabbit Movers Stay away!

Stay away! They will tell you anything you want to hear. 3 movers showed up and did nothing but complain because they had to work. They didn't show up with gloves or booties as advertised. Salesman is sketchy and does not disclose or communicate full costs up front. We had an issue where the distance from our NYC building freight elevator to the building exit was too far despite being repeatedly told that "they knew our building" and it would be "no problem." Upon arrival, they called their dispatcher to pressure me into allowing the doorman to allow them to move from the front/lobby of the building because it was too far for them and it was too cold. Despite already knowing the answer, I consulted with my doorman who confirmed that it was not possible. As you could imagine, this was a surprise when we were then told we would have to pay over $500 because of the distance they had to carry the furniture from the freight elevator to the building exit (which is warm, enclosed and did not contain any stairs) and was never previously disclosed or communicated. After pushing back on the fee, we were extorted by their dispatcher and told we could either pay this fee or "take care of their guys" by "tipping better." Upon calling the company to complain, we were met with arrogance and an "it is what it is" attitude. Keep an eye out for these sketchy people.

Rabbit Movers I wouldn't recommend this company!

I wouldn't recommend this company! I put a down payment on my move in February but had to put it on hold due to personal issues. In June, I called back to add and remove a few items and schedule a pick-up, but they didn't tell me about a summer rate. This added about $400 to our initial quote, which I only noticed after they revised and emailed it to us. The extra charges started appearing once our items were picked up and taken to their warehouse. They charged us extra for having a bed with a head and footboard, which didn't make sense. You would think they charge a fixed price for this, but they don't. It should have been included in the initial quote instead of being brought up later. It felt like they were trying to trick the customer. Additionally, I was charged for an extra box, even though my family and I counted several times and knew how many we had. But it's our word against theirs. The staff, especially ***, was very unprofessional. Instead of finding a solution and working with the customer, he made it seem like we had no choice but to pay the additional fee. They used a third-party company (*** Movers) for the actual delivery, which wasn't a problem but should have been mentioned. They gave us a tracking number to track our shipment in real time, which was the best part of the whole experience. The movers themselves did a great job, but the management team was terrible!

Rabbit Movers The move took 17 hours from start to finish

The move took 17 hours from start to finish. We were asked to pay $1000 more 2 hours into the move for "overages". Here, I want to mention that from the beginning, nobody from Rabbit offered or gave us a walk-through. I was not aware that this is a standard practice with all moving companies, so I did not demand it. Therefore, the cost for the move was determined by the amount of items that I filled out on a standard form. I was given a price a few days later after calling a number of times to request it. Sadly, we paid the $1000 overage as we felt we had no choice but to comply, as many of our items were already on the truck and they refused to move us unless we paid asap. Then, we were told 6 hours into the move that we needed a second truck as our things would not all fit. We had a legal deadline to vacate from the house by a certain time, and I was promised by the movers that the second truck would arrive in 1 1/2 hours. My husband left with the first truck. The second truck took 4 1/2 hours to come - it was horrible, all my stuff was all over the driveway and street, and so we sat in 95-degree heat for over 2 hours with my 83-year-old mother-in-law and 2 cats in travel boxes outside waiting - because we could no longer be in the house due to the time deadline that I was very clear about with the movers and reassured. After all that, we were told that the amount we needed to pay as a tip was about $1000 more than we wanted to offer, but again, it felt like we had no choice. All in all, it was an awful experience and one that taught me a lot - 1. always ask for a walk-through for an accurate and real moving cost upfront, 2. find out the size of the truck coming and question if it is adequate to fit everything, 3. ask what the time estimation will be for the entire move, 4. find out through independent research what is a reasonable tip. I write this not to try to get a refund or even an apology from Rabbit moving, but to hopefully save others from the trauma. The whole thing was really a nightmare! I feel like I was so inexperienced about moving as I had not moved in 24 years and was quite vulnerable and trusting - I was most likely taken advantage of due to my naivety. Please do research on whoever you choose to move with. Hopefully, our story can save you time, money, and grief.

Rabbit Movers We hired Rabbit Movers to move from NYC to Long Beach Island

We hired Rabbit Movers to move from NYC to Long Beach Island. We were impressed by their good reviews. Unfortunately, the move with Rabbit was a disaster due to bad communication and customer service. They didn't bring a big enough truck for our 2-bedroom apartment in NYC. Even after going back to NYC the next day and loading our car, we still had to leave behind $5000 worth of stuff. On top of that, they charged us $540 more than the estimate. Here's what you need to know if you move with them: 1. THEY DON'T ASSUME YOU'LL HAVE BOXES UNLESS YOU SPECIFICALLY SAY SO. The survey asks about furniture but boxes are hidden under "OTHER." Maybe they don't want you to see it? We assumed they knew we'd have boxes, but they blamed us for not seeing it in the quote. 2. THEIR SALESPEOPLE ACT LIKE THEY CARE BUT THEY DON'T. On the phone, they seem experienced, but they only care about signing you up. Our salesperson, Nate, seemed smart and experienced, but he never asked about the lack of boxes in our survey and gave us the wrong price for moving a couch downstairs. He wasn't there on moving day and didn't bother to ask us about it. 3. THEY'RE NOT HONEST ABOUT EMPLOYING ARTISTS. They claim to exclusively employ artists, musicians, and writers, but they actually subcontract their moves to non-artists. It's just a marketing gimmick. 4. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. When things went wrong, their manager Anthony yelled at me for not including boxes in the survey instead of helping us. When I emailed Nate and Anthony about the bad move, they didn't seem to care. This company could be good if they communicated better and cared about solving problems, but they only care about money. The actual movers were nice and capable, but Rabbit Movers let us down. Service: Moving to another state.

Rabbit Movers On August 3, 2022, Rabbit Movers and their team moved my stuff from one place to another

On August 3, 2022, Rabbit Movers and their team moved my stuff from one place to another. When we unpacked everything, we noticed that two things were gone (a gaming headset worth $300 and a pair of shoes worth $250). We reached out to the company to report the issue, but they just said the items weren't in the truck, implying we must have lost them ourselves. They only offered us $100 as compensation and didn't provide a proper solution.

Rabbit Movers I hired Rabbit Movers for a flat rate moving service with a truck and three guys

I hired Rabbit Movers for a flat rate moving service with a truck and three guys. Unfortunately, one of the movers got into a fight with another guy on the site. As a result, he refused to work for the second half of our move, which involved unpacking. This caused us to miss the move-in building deadline by 90 minutes. To make matters worse, they put our bed back together incorrectly, and now it's broken.

I spoke to Bruce at Rabbit Movers about my frustrations, but he didn't offer any solutions. He simply listened to my complaints. My wife and I ended up doing a lot of the moving ourselves, even though we paid $1300 for the service. That's approximately $433 per mover. I suggested a refund of $216.67, which is half of the one guy's pay since he didn't work, and my wife and I had to do his job. However, they didn't offer any refund at all.

I am incredibly disappointed and frustrated with this company.

Rabbit Movers On 05/30/2022, Rabbit Movers and Storage relocated my 2 bedroom apartment.

On 05/30/2022, Rabbit Movers and Storage relocated my 2 bedroom apartment. They never disclosed that a different company would manage the long-haul segment of the relocation prior to my signing the contract. Had I known the company I hired wouldn't directly handle my move, I would have reconsidered. Upon delivery, I discovered damages to my adjustable bed base, bar, and lamp. I reached out to Rabbit Movers to file a damage claim, but they dismissed it, citing no extra fees were charged. Despite my claim being for damages, they deemed it irrelevant. Rabbit Movers' service agreement makes no mention of subcontracting. The representative was dismissive and unprofessional when I addressed additional move-related issues. He refused to acknowledge the damages or honor my claim. My account number is withheld. Email:

Rabbit Movers Rabbit movers got my business from imovers, a third party vendor

Rabbit movers got my business from imovers, a third party vendor. They got a list of all the stuff I needed to move. But then imovers said they canceled the move because Rabbit Movers' management was being mean and swearing at their employees. Imovers said they ended their contract with Rabbit Movers because of their behavior. So, my original move got canceled. Then I went straight to Rabbit Movers and booked my move with them. They said they had my original list and would send a big 14x8x8 moving truck that could handle everything on the list. But on moving day, they showed up with a small van. The two movers said the van couldn't handle my stuff. Before that, Rabbit Movers even tried to charge me for not answering my phone. But they were calling a number with a different area code, not mine. It seems like they're either not good at their job, mixed up my move with someone else's, or were trying to trick me into paying more at the last minute. They couldn't finish the move and just left without doing anything. And they wouldn't give me a refund for the $790 I paid. Now they're threatening to take me to court because I complained to my credit card company.

Rabbit Movers I hired Rabbit Movers for a full-service move

I hired Rabbit Movers for a full-service move. My official documents state that my move-out date is 7/29/2022, *** am. It's the date we discussed and agreed upon. In an email chain, an unofficial email was sent on 7/24 stating that the movers would come on 7/28, 1-4 pm to pre-pack for me. I didn't see this email and didn't respond or confirm the change in any way, and no one followed up with me. The movers arrived at 5 pm on the 28th to prepack, but I wasn't ready for them. I spoke with someone in management named ***, who told me they could reschedule to my original date/time for $250, which I agreed to. He transferred me to his supervisor, ***, who yelled at me for about 20 minutes. He said I was an inconvenience, inconsiderate, and repeatedly threatened to cancel my move. I requested he stop yelling at me, and he yelled back, "I'm not yelling at you." He added an additional fee of $275 because the job would now take 15 hours (even though it only took 5 hours).

After packing on the 29th, the truck with my items was supposed to go to the fumigator, which a representative from Rabbit Movers had set up. Everything was supposed to go into storage the next day. The head mover spoke with the fumigator and knew where to go, but management told him to bring the truck to their lot instead of to the fumigator. As a result, my items couldn't be fumigated. *** lied about speaking with the fumigator and with me, and made numerous threats about leaving my belongings on the street, saying things like, "Even if we have to unload on the sidewalk, we will unload on the sidewalk. We are not keeping your items more than tonight." My belongings were unloaded into storage without being fumigated. I had to hire another company to reload and take them for fumigation. I paid $5,593.82 for this service, and I believe I should receive at least a partial refund. Rabbit Movers refuses to discuss refunding even just the fines. Reference: #

Rabbit Movers After using Rabbit Movers multiple times, both personally and professionally, we recently had the WORST experience with the company, which is

After using Rabbit Movers multiple times, both personally and professionally, we recently had the WORST experience with the company, which is now under new management. I'm writing this complaint because I'm deeply disappointed and almost can't believe what happened. We tried to resolve the issues with BUNNY, then with the claims manager *** and general manager ***. We hired them to move our office space in July due to the pandemic. The move itself was difficult, took a lot of time, and required more supervision than we expected from a professional moving service. But what shocked our team is that, even after 6+ months, we are still dealing with the consequences of Rabbit's crew's unprofessional handling of our belongings. When we booked, we clearly stated that we wanted to sell items gradually, with our team based in Brooklyn. However, in October, we discovered that all our items were stored in *** with no access to the inventory for sales. The easiest solution was to pay Rabbit's team to move our belongings to a more accessible CubeSmart storage unit in Brooklyn. Honestly, it felt like a form of extortion. But let's not dwell on that... The main issue is that we found many of our belongings in terrible condition, making them unsellable. Whether it was during the move to Rabbit's storage space in *** or the subsequent move to CubeSmart in Brooklyn, several items were broken, damaged, stained, torn, or missing parts. This is completely unacceptable, especially considering their website's 100% Satisfaction Guarantee (which they have now removed - not surprising). If we had known we would end up with a pile of garbage, we would have saved time, resources, and money by throwing everything away in July. And to top it off, when we filed a complaint, they made us go through a lengthy and complicated process of cataloging, documenting, and providing proof of purchase. As another ComplaintsBoard.com filing mentioned, they seem to intentionally prolong the complaint process, hoping that customers will give up out of frustration. In total, we paid Rabbit over $10,000 for the moves and storage, and we requested a refund of around $4500, the market value of our damaged inventory. We even offered to settle for a $2500 refund to cover the cost of the moves. However, they claimed there was no evidence that their team caused the damage and only offered a meager $400 refund (less than 10% of the market value of the damage). It's really sad and extremely disappointing to see the Rabbit we once knew now under the poor "management" of people who simply don't care. It's truly unprofessional and one of the worst experiences we've had with any company in a long time.

Rabbit Movers On July **,, I moved my apartment belongings to storage in preparation for a second move in a few weeks

On July ,, I moved my apartment belongings to storage in preparation for a second move in a few weeks. I got an estimate, but was told it could change after the crew chief assessed the move upon arrival. The day started with the moving team arriving in a truck that was too small for all my stuff (poor planning). The crew was nice and assured my wife that they could either get a larger truck or make two trips. I called the main office right away to inform them and ask about additional fees. They told me that if the crew chief didn't mention any extra fees, then there wouldn't be any. It wasn't ideal, but they seemed confident in completing the move, so I let them proceed. It took much longer than expected (all day), but they finally finished. I went with them to the storage facility to ensure everything was secure and tipped the team for their work. That's when things took a turn for the worse. Just before the crew chief drove away, he informed me that there would be a charge for moving blankets (which I expected) and an additional charge for extra mileage and boxes, something they didn't mention at the start of the move as per their policy. He said I would receive an update from the office the next day to find out the amount. At that point, the move was done, so there was nothing I could do. Four days passed, and I heard nothing from Rabbit Movers. Then I checked my credit card statement and noticed an unauthorized additional charge of nearly $1000. They didn't even bother to inform me via email, text, or call. This is obviously bad business, but wait, it gets worse. I immediately called the company to find out what was going on. They asked me to put everything in an email, and they would escalate it to a boss for handling. They assured me that someone would get back to me. I followed their instructions and then heard from a claims manager named Mercedes C, who said they were working on it and someone would contact me within 24-48 hours. Three days later, still no response, so I reached out to them again. That's when I discovered a major scam happening at Rabbit Movers. She sent me a copy of a Bill of Lading with additional charges on it. This document is supposed to be signed at the beginning and end of the move to confirm agreement with the estimate and charges. She claimed that I had agreed to the extra charge. However, there were two completely different signatures on the form, both supposedly mine (go figure). I had never seen this form before, and neither of the signatures belonged to me. Someone at their company had forged my signature twice, and if she hadn't sent me this document, I would have never known. And this is the so-called proof she presented to me to hold me responsible for the charge. I told her that the signatures were not mine or my wife's, but it made no difference.

Rabbit Movers We hired Rabbit Movers to move our furniture out of our old apartment, into storage, and into our new condo

We hired Rabbit Movers to move our furniture out of our old apartment, into storage, and into our new condo. This was the most unprofessional experience from start to finish. We gave them many chances to act with integrity and do the right thing but we haven't had any luck with their team directly. We paid their company $6,304 for moving and storage services, but had furniture damages of about $5,000. (over 40% of our furniture was damaged) We tried to be patient and sent multiple emails to get this resolved! At the time, they said instead of replacing the furniture, they thought they could send someone to fix it. We were open-minded and allowed a furniture repair person to come into our home to try to repair it. The repair person didn't fix it, he said he couldn't repair the cracked mirror or the wooden furniture because his paint and lacquer couldn't match the style of our furniture. Then covid hit, so we tried to be patient with their team, since all of NYC was in quarantine we didn't contact them or push the matter for many months, trying to understand their health and safety was more important! After NYC opened up and allowed non-essential businesses to work again after COVID, we emailed them to follow up and their responses were extremely rude, not showing any care or empathy for the situation. We were patient and kind especially during a hard time for so many. They were dismissive, not taking the time to listen, and they said the business had been sold. I would have thought that trying to resolve this would be best for them, as they would want to build loyal customers, since it's important to have satisfied and loyal customers during this time. Here's a summary of what happened - we sent this to their team in December right after the move: Hi! We are writing to work with you to get this situation resolved. Here are the details: 1) All of the damaged furniture was not packed properly. You packed our dressers with very thin brown colored tissue paper (that's how thin it was) Other moving companies used furniture pads. 3) Your team seems to be trying to make this claims process tedious, we would like to replace our furniture especially the mirror (see attached) which still sits in our new home cracked. 4) Realistically, we believe we're entitled to a total of a minimum of a $3,000 refund from you so we can repair our furniture and replace it. We paid your company over $6,304 for your services, and also had furniture damages of about $5,000. We believe half of charges paid is appropriate to get back as a refund for the problems we've encountered: a) with so many items damaged totaling $5,000 and b) the discrepancy in the service and movers you provided for the moves. With that said, I would love for you to resolve this so that our experience is improved — I'd love to be able to tell others locally that you handled this for us and made the situation right. I would also then be happy to edit my reviews online as I would be open to updating others to let them know you've resolved this in a fair manner! End of email sent in 12/*** We have multiple photos and records of the damaged furniture and are simply asking for a partial refund to replace the furniture. We were left with 40% of our furniture damaged.
