On May 22, 2018 at 7:30 pm I was gettIng ready to walk into the Rainbow located inside Princes George Mall I was told very rudely by 3 workers standing in the doorway that they were closed..I was given so much attitude...rolling of the eyes ..like it was my fault for not knowing them standing in the doorway meant they were closed ...I wasn't given a reason why they were closed so early or when they would be resuming operation ...I've been coming to that perticular location and also recommended/advertised items I've purshased for years ...After my encounter today I'm feeling very different about spending my money at any of your locations ...I love your great moderate prices but if I have to spend a couple dollars more somewhere else along with being treated with kindness it will be worth it ...it's the little things that count

Rainbow Shop at 571 E. 138ths street in Bronx, New York. I will never shop at any Rainbow again I will tell all my friends, coworkers and family members to never shop there again. The sale girl had an attitude problem..When I got to the register I was paying with my credit card ..I put the credit card in twice he said declined...I just had used my card...I felt discriminated against because I'm Black...But all the Puerto Rican cards work.. he asked me for ID but didn't ask the Puerto Rican's...for ID...I will never shop there again

I look at my bank and there was 2 changes for $32.10 they call the mgr she takes my info and tell me to keep the declined receipt. i did and I go back and the mgr tells me I have to come back in the morning I work in the morning so that is not possible. After telling the mgr how she is supposed to handle this she takes my info. I leave my banking proof and telephone number. I get a call this morning from the mgr saying they only have 1 transaction and I need to call my bank. That money went to Rainbow account so now I will have to see if my bank can get my money back. This is crazy Rainbow just lost a long time customer and I bought something else while I was there. Waiting on a resolution for the money that they already have of mine. Terrible!

I've been shopping at your rainbow stores for a number of years at a number of locations. I love the merchandise at all the stores and the customer service has always been great. But today I experienced the most outrageous encounter ever. My friend purchased a lovely outfit around 4:45pm and I wanted one as soon as I saw it and rushed to the store she purchased it from. When I got there I picked out the outfit it was a top and a pair of pants that both said 2 piece set on each piece but they showed two different prices the top was $14.99 and the pants $12.99. I thought this was a mistake and thought nothing of it until I got to the counter and called it to their attention. The cashier then told me it is a set but different prices. I kept asking her if it's a set where's the other pieces for either of them because it can't be a set with different prices. With a disgusting look on her face she told me "miss this is what it is do you want it or not". I then asked for a manager she said she was the manager "miss do you want it or not next in line". I was so upset I just left the store looking at the faces of the other customers as they shook their heads and some of them left. The location is on interstate 35 and pleasant run in desoto tx. Even though the location is close to me I will not shop there anymore! The customer service in this location is very very bad please correct this problem because I know i'm not the only one!

On April 27, 2018 between 1-2pm I purchased a seven dollar shirt. I handed the cashier a 50 dollar bill. I accidentally left the store without my receipt or change. Within 10 minutes I contacted the store to inform them I forgot my change. I was told I only gave the cashier 7 bucks. I knowing this was false asked to speak to a manger who informed me she would count the drawer and get back to me. She called me back to let me know the drawer was correct. I asked her if there was a 50 dollar bill in the drawer she says yes but it was from another purchase. I said ok well how much was the purchase and what change was given? She says to me "so many people come here I don't know" Being confused, I gave customer service a call who informed her she would have to contact her boss. May 1, 2018 I end up having to call her back she says, " give me your number again I lost it and he will call you in a few minutes. A few minutes later I get a call from Jerry who I believe is the district manager and the store manager on a 3 way call. He informs his store manager she can see all the transactions made by doing something to the register. By the way Jerry informs me he is out of town. He also says he can look on the camera. I say yes I mentioned that to your manager. The manager and Jerry call back and say yes a 50 was spent at 4:15 pm. What does that have to do with my purchase between 1-2 and the 50 that was in the register 10 minutes later?They have to look into it further I am told or will I settle for half my money back? I say no.. 10 minute later they both call me back to tell me the "office" looked into it and my purchase was at 12:30pm and there was a 55 dollar purchase at 10:30 am where the customer gave a 50 dollar bill and a ten dollar bill. Really? I ask did you look on camera? Jerry now informs me he does not have to give any information about his camera. He is sorry and I can reach back out to Rainbow Shops cooperate office. By the way, is there a cooperate office? I am a very loyal customer. I was actually in that very store the day before and purchased some things for both my sister and I. This situation makes me want to never shop with not only that store but your company again.I do hope someone on a higher level reaches out to me. I can't help but to feel like Rainbow stole from me. I don't appreciate spending 50 dollars for a 7 dollar shirt.

Hi there, I was in your cedarbrook plaza store on 4/22/2018 at about 12:30 pm. I went to return/exchange 2 items that I purchased from another location on 4/20/2018, I gather other things for purchase while in the store then I went to the register. Time to do the transaction, and the manager for that location took my items then she said 1 item she can't take back because it didn't have a tag, immediately she pushed it to the side and took the 1 with the tag and the other items I was about to purchased, so I said but it's on the receipt then she said how do I know that's the item, I said to her the sweater has a tag on there so the other item is $4.99 she said your gonna have to take it back to where I got it from I said ok but I'm not trying to get over for $4.99 she pushed all my things to the side and said she's not waiting on me and saying she not about to argue with me and pointing her fingers shugging her shoulders as if she was in an argument with someone all this time I just stood there then finally I asked her why is she denying my service she totally ignored me and say next customer then I said to her can I get the number for customer service she looked at me with a nasty attitude and said it's on the receipt knowing it's not there.
So I went ahead and looked it up myself and call customer service I explain to the lady what happened earlier, the lady call her and she went to the back and talk to the lady. She came out was ready to ring me up or so I thought, she started to grab my stuff in a nasty manner with anger and rage, throwing them down as she took them off the hangers one at a time by this time I should have definitley take my business else where, but rainbow is one of my favorite place to shop so I hang in it, she has another young lady taking the scensors off. I got a call I answered, my call had absolutely nothing to do with her so I'm assuming she think I was talking about her then she really throw my stuff down and walked away and said I'm not waiting on you and I can call customer service all I want and no matter what they said she's not waiting on me, by now she's really arguing and yelling, now she was creating an audience because people was coming in the store to shop and they were all looking as she went on to say that she's grown and been around for a long time so she knows the policies and that I should go back to where I came from and don't come over here with that by this time she is referring to my country of birth because she heard my accent when I was on the phone.
The young lady that was taking the scensors off finish taking them off and I was waiting to finish being waited on and nobody did because apparently no one else can ring up customers, but the manager so I asked the young lady can you ring me out and she said that she's not allowed or can't ring something of that sort.
I just asked for my items back that I wanted to return and left the store. While leaving the store the associate that was taking the scensors off said have a nice day and I said you do the same, but by this time it probably wasn't sincere coming from her, but to me it didn't matter if it was or not I just answered and kept on walking. The manager was very nasty to me and I didn't disrespect her in anyway and I didn't deserve to be treated in that manner I walked out leaving all my items that I really wanted to purchase.

I ordered four Items with my citi bank debit card. I got my confirmation number everything seems to be ok. The next day I got a email from you guys saying that my order has been cancelled. I like to know why my order has been cancelled when everything was ok at first. I never had a problem ordering Items online with my debit card, know matter what time I order items online I never had this problem. I have a complaint about your store located at 380 Fifth Avenue.
I purchased a crochet jumpsuit last week on April 5th and before purchasing I asked the cashier lady if by any chance they keep more stock in the back because i needed a bigger size and a different color and she told me no, whatever we have outside is what we have. So I asked her if I could return it in case the jumpsuit was too small and she said yes you have 7 days to return it, and after 7 days you can only exchange it. So today April 12 I went to the store to return the jumpsuit and this lady started checking all over it and called another lady who she said was the store manager and she also started checking it all over and told me the jumpsuit had a stain on it and that she couldnt take it like that. Are you kidding me ? I haven't even worn it. It has the tags hanging and everything. I asked her if she could at least give a store credit and she said NO. I always shop there since my job is a few blocks away from the store, but people here even the other girls are very rude. I cannot believe she didnt even give me a store credit. The item wasnt even smelling perfume or anything. HOw can this be possible. You need a better customer service in this place and follow the store rules.
Is it possible that I can at least exchange my item at a different store ?

(near Safeway) . My first visit I walked in and was politely greeted at the door. However, when I went to make my purchase the female cashier was on her mobile device which was on speaker phone. All while my 11 year old son was with me. The conversation was regarding after work recreational activities which included alcohol and drugs. The cashier asked the person on thr phone to refrain from such verbage cause a customer was present. I was under the impression that the older woman was a supervisor. In which she just stood there looking. I left out and told myself to never go back into that Rainbow, visit the location down near the Giant.
My second visit at this location I walked out! I walked in and was greeted at the door by two workers whom were stocking merchandise on the floor. As I gathered my itrms and made my way to the register. There were three females all behind thr registers. The first female aske was I ready amd I told her yes. She then told me "she can take you over there" These two ladies were counting their tills. Money was laid out every where in an unsafe manner. Suddenly one of the workers finally decides she would finish counting the cash in an more safe manner by removing the cash from the customers reach. Meanwhile I am still standing and had not made a purchase yet. After hearing yelling of drawers being short of $26.00 dollars and how it would be fixed I left all six its at the register and walked out. And still not any worker tried to take the sale. I will never make another purchase at that location again. Just very disturbing music, body language, dress code, verbage, and unsafe cash handling. I believe you all should hire a secret shopper. Especially on Saturdays! Your hiring the wrong folks to represent a very well named store.

I visited a rainbow store few days to Christmas to get some clothes, after I paid I decided to return one of those clothes right on the spot. I was directed to swipe my debit card by the employee, which I did. Two weeks after, I didn't get my refund reflect on my account. Called the store severally and each time they tell me different stories promising to call me back including the manager, which has never happened. Visited the store and the same promise was made by another employee. Nobody is taking me serious! No one is helping me out to get back my money. Why is it so hard to fix? Why are they all relaxed?
Don't visit the interstate 35 and Pleasant Run store the customer service is bad and knowledge of merchandise is nil.

Me and my niece's and daughter in one of there friends walk in the store before me and this white gay guy went to them and say they couldn't be in there( the store) unless there 18 I been shopping to rainbow stores since there had one in the North gate mall in lafayette la. And i went to see the problem so I ask him why they have to 18 in the ugliest answer back he said since I became manager With a attitude. Idk if he at had a bad day going spend $$$$. I promise you I never seen y'all store so poor with people he will definitely bring less and less people to your store. so I'm going to the Acadian mall rainbow store maybe none cause that was just heart broken. I had to pray or I was going to (curse) that man out and so I left before one more smart word I would of bust that man in his mouth. I went to your store to return a purse on white plains rd and they told me that your policy states that accessories cannot be return. They showed me the policy and if does not state accessories. Your return policy should be clear on what you can or can not return. I was not aware when I brought the purse that it was non refundable. This is very misleading and needs to be changed. You are misleading your customers and could lose a good customer because of it.
Order#[protected]-001 DATED 03/21/2020 I mailed the package back to rainbow through the post office. I received in the mail the same packaged that I sent. I made sure the package was securely wrapped with the return. Now it is 30days past the 30 day return policy and now I will be stuck with merchandise I can't wear. How can this be resolved. On the afternoon of Wed. October 17 2017 approximately 2:40pm. I stood at rhe register in aw becuase there was no one to cash me out for the items i purchased... I asked a sales person if this meant the items were free.of which she responded that the cashier went on a break and that she was the only person who was trained on the register...Really.?
The young lady was apologetic. And said that she had to relieve herself because she had been there since 10 am... Really? 10 am to 2:40 pm. 5 hrs on a register is that legal..even if those hours are slow for buisness .SOMEONE SHOULD ALWAYS COVER THE REGISTER!.. Although i thought what i needed to get would take less than 5 min. Had i known i would not have gambled my time to make it home to get my kids off the school bus...i dint want to leave the items becuase i dont live in that area but what i wanted i had to get in the 20 min window that i had.. Poor management!

I had an abusive experience at the Rainbow located at 19187 S. Dixie HWY CutlerBay/Miami, Florida.
On Friday February 21st, 2020, I purchase a pair of sandals at this Rainbow for a disabled senior female getting a pedicure at the Nail shop beside the Rainbow. I was in town from Dallas for a funeral and was helping her prepare and take her mind off of the funeral. She came in with tennis shoes and socks on. The nail tech after the pedicure could not put the sandals on the individual as she sat at the bowl. I gathered the sandals and receipt and walked back to rainbow to get a larger size. From purchase to return was about 15 minutes. The initial sales person, an older cuban woman at the register said it was ok to do an even exchange. As I attempted to find a larger size the younger cuban sales person came to me with the sandals in hand, refused to accept the shoes and said they had been walked in. I assured her the woman never got up from the bowl. She continued to insist I was lying saying the shoes had dust and wear on them. After an intense scene, I was offended and told her to keep the shoes and departed to go to burlington store a couple stores down to purchase the woman some shoes. On my way back I stopped back in to Rainbow inform them I would file a complaint. The younger person laughed and said loudly I told you to take the shoes. I refused the shoes and had a few harsh words for her.
This was embarrassing and uncalled for. I am an educated professional African American Woman. I'm not sure of her motives, but to accuse me of dishonesty and make a scene in a discount store over $10 shoes was degrading. Thats why I would not accept the shoes back on principle nor do I want a refund . I want her FIRED.
Her actions were obviously race based. Other customers were present and this was an assault on my integrity. This may have been a joke to her but I feel violated. All of this over some $10 sandals. She should be fired. I will continue my complaints against this disgusting individual. Is she the image of how you want Rainbow portrayed? She should be fired!
managers habitual lateness
Rainbow located in Blackwood NJ... Tuesday Oct 3rd.. shop is suppose 2 open at 10am... it is now 10:20. Store employee informed me she is waiting for her manager and she is always late. Employee has indicated she is always waiting n is pretty angry with her boss. I have watched numerous customers leave and go elsewhere to shop.
Its unacceptable that a manager is habitually late to work. They are suppose 2 set an example for their employees.

Let me first start by saying that I cannot believe the level of customer service in this place I never felt so disrespected I didn't know if I was at my familys house or at the bar watching the football game I
needed a lot of help but the Lady with the blonde hair kept screaming and talking very loud I couldn't even find anything the sound of the football game was too loud on the speakers I tried to get the attention of the worker but she was on her phone and the tall cashier woman with the black and blue hair had a bad attitude and has the worst customer service she needs to learn how to talk to customers who spend their hard earned money every day in this ridiculous dirty store but the only person that I saw who was interacting with customers was the tall guy who greeted me hello ...thank you for coming into rainbows today as I entered the store so he help me pick out a wonderful outfit and shoes for a special occasion and I am so grateful Thank you very much!

409need to be more helpful here in Montgomery Alabama on Fairview they need to stop standing around staring at customers and be more healthful their biggest problem is leaving the Buzzard on People's Clothing people get weighed home have no way of getting those buzzers off one in particular short heavy-set black female dark skin and the older female you can get much younger people to work there that treat the customers much better and not judge. I visited the Rainbow at the Ellsworth Place in Silver Spring, MD on Friday August 25, 2017 around 7:30 P.M. Upon entering the store I was never once greeted by any staff member which I saw at least 3 on the floor. 2 females were very loud and making ride comments regarding customers in the store I asked for assistance at least 3x before I even got any assistance from the females on the sales floor. The female who decided that it was so funny that I asked for a particular belt began to laugh and joke with the other associate. She then went on and told me I needed a waist trainer in order for the belt I wanted to got. I never encountered such rudeness in my life. I don't know their names because they did not wear any name badges with their names on it. I don't think retail is a fit for people like this because you will lose many customers due to poor customer service. I will not shop here ever again and inform others I know as well.

I have been to this Rainbow a few times for quick purchases and each time there is the same associate who is rude. She mumbles about the customers and seems to be bothered by the fact that people even enter the store. My first time in there was no music playing and she seemed bothered and I had good naturedly commented "It sucks your store doesn't play music. I'm sure your day would go by so much faster." She simply mumbled under her breath in response.
Today (8/2/18) I went and purchased a dress for an upcoming trip. I had asked if it were possible to keep the dress and she answered "We don't allow customers to have the hangers." I don't know if this is a Rainbow policy, if she is miserable, or she wanted to see if I would insist until I got what I asked for, but I simply let it be. I can say that this is honestly turning me off from the store and whenever people say they are going I mention not to go to this specific shop because of the rude woman that works there. Honestly, as someone who once worked in retail, I think there should be more training of professionalism and customer service.

I was charged twice for one item and I just realized it after reading my receipt 3 weeks later... I'm going back to the store in the morning but regardless I want my money back. How could the cashier have been so careless or even worse, a thief?! I hope this is rectified expediently. I'll be making complaints until either the store or Rainbow corporation reimburses me.

To whom it may concern i originally live in Holyoke and i absolutely love to shop from Rainbow unfortunately we only have 2 locations in Holyoke although the one on High street is super small and barley have variety . On the one located in the plaza is bigger and have nice merchandise but dislike customer service. Store manager is rude and always using what i consider unacceptable language theres not one time i havent heard her cursing to the point were i no longer like to shop there so i travel to west Springfield i love it there besides the drive i love how they run there business.
