complaint about collection department
To whom it may concern,
I have complained around 2 weeks ago about Abu dhabi collection department. Complaint number SR3517478. I also have another complaint number however cannot recall it.
I had a settlement with RAK since around 1 year (1050 AED Monthly payment), but for personal reasons, I needed to do another settlement. So I went in FEB to collection department Abu Dhabi where they made me sign BLANK papers and told me that my monthly installment will be 800 DHS and that my first payment will be after 60 days (MAY)
To start with, after sign-in all the docs, the bank opened a police case against me. How can you open a case after i was in your offices agreeing on a settlement plan.
It took more than 1 week to get a clearance letter from the court.
In April, i received a bank statement showing that I was 2 months late in my payments, but worst of all my monthly installement became over 1500 AED.
How can this happened when the collections guys told me my payment will be 800 dhs and the first one will be in MAY.
Furthermore, the settlement plan was decided without my approval.
No one from the bank called me or texted me or even emailed me the plan for my approval.
I have done 2 settlement with 2 other banks, who emailed me all details of the settlement for approval.
I went to the collection explaining to them that they made a mistake and did not honor their promise, but they claimed they couldn't do anything.
do you really think i am crazy enough to have a monthly payment of 1050 aed and agree on over 1050?
Now dubai collection started calling me and harassment started for non payments. And believe me they are totally crazy when it comes to harassing customers for payment.
Last year i even went sick because of them (depression).
They call from mobiles and claim they are the police and that a police case was open and that i need to call the bank urgently or they will come to my work place and arrest me.
They call 20 times in 1h.
They send whatsapp, sms, emails.
They scare my friends claiming I am wanted at the police.
I don't want to go through all this one more time.
I want the bank to honor the promise made and solve my issue or else i will seek for a legal way by filing a police case against the bank who made me sign blank papers (you can see on the forms that it is not my hand writing) and that they went for a plan without my approval. And to approach central bank.
I received a call from a lady Called Meriem Saif however i am unable to get in touch with her and inform her that no one from collection did anything to solve my issue.
What was done by Abu Dhabi collection was ILLEGAL.

My instant money statement for card number [protected] dated 10th march 2017showed only one installment remaining in the amount of AED 3, 846.07 for which I paid in full end of March.
Surprisingly, I received this month statement for the same card dated 10th April 2017 showing an additional amount of AED 3, 919.55 yet to be paid
I called [protected] to clarify this issue today and to investigate what is wrong at around 11.00 am and the lady officer answered the call was completely not cooperative and did not give me the chance to explain the problem although I answered all most of identification questions and based on this not successful call with your non cooperated staff, I'm referring the matter to you for your kind attention hoping I would receive your favorable +ve response at the earliest

The incident happened dated 05 April 2017 (bet 7-8pm) - RAKBANK Ibn Battuta Mall Branch.
I was in line with 2 open counters ( all are in 1 line and each will alternately go to whichever counter is free). Since the counter on my left became empty, I stood there waiting for my turn.
However, the teller ( Lolita Salagubang) acted as if nothing was in front of her. As if she didn't see anybody waiting for her. Not even glanced nor acknowledged my presence. When I asked if she's already free since I'm already standing for sometime in front of her and others at the back of me already been through the other counter and finished and yet I'm still there.
Instead of greeting, she said she was busy with another client and was doing something that's why she's not entertaining me and she will just call me. And so I said if that is the case she could have simply politely told me as a customer to just move to another counter instead of waiting there in vain infront of her otherwise like the other counter if he left for a bit his station he put a note infront " NEXT COUNTER PLEASE" so us clients are aware.
Worst of all she was already high pitched telling me she doesn't want to argue and was trying to return my EID + Cheques and was asking me to go instead to another counter! And so I said wasn't arguing but telling her that she could have simply acknowledged my presence and tell me exactly the best thing to do and most importantly how come she's rejecting and not accepting my cheqs for her to change into cash?
A very rude and not a good example of customer service. She doesn't even know how to smile and greet her clients.
RAKBANK is a big company and we expect more of you in terms of taking care of your clients.
I hope this thing will not happen again to anyone of your clients as we feel being belittled.

This is to inform you that I have approached rak bank for opening salary account 3 weeks before with all documents, they have processed my account, customer service gave ATM card, i deposit 300 aed in that account I gave that account number to my office for salary transaction, my management all so processed within two days I will get my salary in my rak back account number but 3days before i went to atm I can't take my deposited amount I called customers service they said due to technical error from banking document updates so they have blocked your account temporarily.
Also I have approached the Bank yesterday morning regarding this issue but they said we loss your documents so only we blocked your account, now again asking all documents once again to unblock the account.
My management said this is bank mistake so they only take responsibility for this issue we will not give documents again,
So now customer service did this mistake but punishment for me
I'm new one for Dubai now I don't have money in my hand

Dear RAK bank team,
In reference to one of my complaint which I have lodged by calling at your customer services help line, I just want to bring to your attention the attitude and bad behaviour of one of your sales agent "Jatin". I have requested for a world credit card some three weeks before, and he has conveyed the same to me and took all the documentation and signatures from me to process my request. He informed me that there is a nominal fee of 250 AED which will be applicable from the second year, and there would be no cancellation charges for a credit card. But to my surprise, the card I have received is a platinum card which doesn’t contain some of the very features which I required utmost.
After reporting this incident to the helpline, I have received almost 6 -7 calls from that sales agent and the way how he is dealing with me are quite annoying and substandard. Like the last time, he dropped the call by saying now you do whatever you want to get a credit card.
I am really upset with this scenario and I just want to quit with RAK bank. I don’t need any product from RAK bank and I request you to give me back all of my documentation and the cheque which I have signed.
If RAK bank wishes to maintain its credibility in the market, he should care about its customers and discard the non-professional sales agents who are giving a bad name to RAK bank.

I was the RAK bank credit card ( [protected] )user in Dubai, i lost my job due to recession and back to india in march 2011, without paying credit card outstanding due to some financial issue. After 2 years i received Email from Mr.Faisal Iqbal, RAK BANK Collection & Recovery - PB Credit, for credit card payment. I propose him for minimum full & final settlement amount and he agreed for that. Later on i paid 4, 200 dhs within 2 installment and then asking for NOC / settlement latter but Mr. Iqbal did not replied me. I tried several time by writing email to him but still no update on this matter. Lets have look on all that email and payment detail which i have done from RAK bank ATM machine at Dubai & Sudi arab.

I was in an intention to close my credit card, I called the ccare and they adviced to pay outstanding amount of 6411. I payed the amount and given the request to cancel credit card. Later on I recieved a call from bank which says that u have payed extra 221dhms and use this amount immediately within two days. As per the advice I used that amount and now I got another call which says you cannot use that amount and te;lls me to pay it back.

I have defaulted my credit card payment and i'm constantly in touch with rak bank people. Today I received a call from mr. Richard ([protected]) , he was very rude in talking to me. I told him I need more time to settle and he started abusing me and calling me a beggar and asking to go sit and beg in the railway station.
I never expected such culture from a bank. When I explained this to my friends they said good they did not use f### and b*****d word on you. Rak normally talk like that..
Its very bad from the banks part to pay for people who talks with no professional culture.

تقدمت بطلب شيك من مركز الاتصال وطلبت منهم تسليمي اياه عن طريق الفرع المتواجد بسوق التنين وعندما ذهبت لاستلامه والتأكد من بطاقة الهويه طلبوا مني التوقيع على الاستلام وكان التوقيع مختلف وبعد جدل طويل مع الاخت بسمه الكندي طلبت مقابلة مدير الفرع وان تسمح لي ان ارى التوقيع القديم الخاص بي وللكن تم رفض طلبي وعندما قابلت مدير الفرع قام هو برفض الطلب او اقتراح اي حل لي لاستلم الشيك وطلبوا مني تغيير توقيعي وعندما بادرت بالطلب بدأوا بإجراء مكالمات داخلية بينهم وقاموا بتعكيس الامور وطلبوا مني شيك تأمين آخر لقبول اجراء توقيع آخر مقبول لديهم مما ادى اني خرجت من الفرع ولم اتم اي معاملة مع العلم اني اتممت ساعتين ونصف بالضبط لاجراء هذا الحوار ولكن لم استفد شيئا لم استلم الشيك ولم اغير توقيعي فإذا كانت هذه سياسة تعامل البنك او انتم راضون عن هذا التعامل مع العملاء فيئسفني اني سأقوم بإغلاق البطاقة الخاصة بي التابعة للبنك وشكرا جزيلا لكم

non liability certificate issue!!!
i have applied for non liability certificate from RAK bank last month. on feb 18. bank confirmed me within one week they will provide the documents.
For the last 15 days am running behind the bank to get the paper. Whenever am calling the customer service they are telling its closed.Next day while visiting the branch the Customer service representative dont know anything about this. Please RAK BANK PLEASE PROVIDE THE NLC!

I am writing this to complaint your agent mr aejaz who is assigned in abu dhabi sales branch in makheen tower. I've been offered and accepted for buying out my personal loan in unb and fgb credit card last dec 27, 2016 (My date of application) but up to now it hasn't been done yet. My unb was cleared but for my fgb card still pending since jan 11 2017 when I got my liability letter from the bank. I keep on reminding your agent to settle it first as it will be expiring soon and I might pay again for another 100dhs for requesting another letter. I was right, the letter was already invalid the time when your agent brought the cheque to fgb bank. Im expecting as your agent promised to me that the processed will be fast and nothing to be worried about. But as what is happening right now its totally opposite. I have spent so much already paying for the liability letter and payments incurred towards my fgb card which is supposed not to happen if your agent action on it in a fast manner. Whenever he needs any documents he will not stop contacting me till he gets it but to update me about the progress is taking a lot of time and causing me inconvenience already. Instead of saving dirhams, im spending unreasonably because of him. Today is the last day of my second liability letter validity from fgb which was given last feb 6, 2017 and it was not settled yet. The same agent has been transferred me to his colleague ms maviya as he was already on leave but whenever im calling her she keeps on saying that she will call me back but she's not. And now, they will ask me to request again another liability letter and I have to pay again for my card before they will settle it! This is really unacceptable! loans rescheduling - incompetent staff
I, Dharmarajan sekhar, have a salary transfer account with your bank with account number [protected] and ST L with agreement number [protected] having a monthly installment of 11516 AED. The STL was taken two years back and has a good track record. Now my salary is reduced by 1500 AED and 2000 AED more to be reduced in the coming months. Hence I approached the bank to reschedule my loan with a lower installment of 6000AED for 48 month as my DBR is very high considering my other liabilities with other banks which was clearly shown in the latest AECB report which i submitted along with the application. The lady executive-Huma in the customer service center of Karama-branch near Burjuman metro station asked me to wait for one week for approval. In the meantime I received a call from the bank asking me to go to collections department in Qua-sis. I went there and met Mr. Nidal and he asked to submit all the documents along with my salary transfer letter. I signed the application form and gave my documents including my security cheque to him one week back. On last Thursday I submitted the salary transfer letter as well. Today I received a call from him asking me to go the branch again and resubmit again. I went to the branch again and the executive attended me don't know where i should be asked to go and gave one mobile number and told that he will guide me. This gentle men is asking me to apply for liability letter and deal with retention center. I have been kicked from pillar to post wasting my valuable two weeks due to lack of banking knowledge of the customer service executives sitting in the branch.
Sir. I am a genuine customer who is facing severe financial problem now due to high DBR and and need your help to overcome this problem by rescheduling my current loan with reduced interest rate and installment so that i would be able to pay it off or else will end up in defaulting the loan installment losing the credibility with the bank.

What kind of interest rate is this, more than 12 times extra charges. This is insane and and cheating the customer. Your customer care is happy to say thats the policy. Its such a sad thing. 3 AED, it looks so cheap and no one even intimates about these things. When you want to sell the card, you will make 100 calls.

unnecessary reduction from the account
I'm a company account holder named Fast Gulf Electromechanical contracting LLC. Acc no. [protected].
Recently I have noticed that there has been a reduction of 250 Dhs from my account every month. As I wanted to know what this reduction was for I had contacted the branch, they had told me that this reduction has been happening because the renewed trade license has not been updated. I have the same company account with an other bank and over there we have
updated the trade license through the bank at the central bank. We had thought that updating the trade license through the central bank would have been enough. If this bank needs a separate update in the trade license please tell me where I should leave the trade license copy.
So I kindly request you to repay the amount taken from this account for this purpose.

daily calls from & repeated conversation with agressive ziyed customer 'care'
Hello,
I have been a customer of RAK for a year -I have always paid on time and last September lost my job, I had been able to make payments through help from friends and family until I found a job, I advised RAK I was unable to make Jan payment but had found a job and would be paid end of Feb and be able to catch up. This information was ignored and i continue to get calls 4 times a day from RAK threatening me over a court case and having to pay legal fees. I have lost my home and can hardly get to work each day - let alone make a minimum amount. The treatment of RAK has shocked me. As soon as I get paid I will close my account with this bank and advise strongly to anyone not to bank with RAK, awful customer care. The way I have been spoken to is disgusting. You are not the law you are a bank collecting millions of high interest rates off people. its not like you are in trouble at all, we are.

I am writing this email regarding my last statement on my credit card generated in the month of feb 2017.
I have noticed that the bank charged me 199dhs for a delay in the payment and i beleive as a regular costumer that this is not fare.
I made my payment on the 31st of jan which is exactly on time but it takes 24hours for the bank to receive since i always pay through an exchange office! If you check the date of payment you will realise that it was made on time but maybe there was a small delay in receiving it.
I would like you to look again in this matter and delete tbe fine charge for me please. As i was never late in my payments before with rak bank.

i would like to complain regarding rak bank collection dept. this is the worst bank i have ever seen. i am having other bank credit card but i am not receiving any head ache from them. some month i am late coz i lost my job and i was jobless for 8 months and i was not having money with me to pay. but now i got job and i am paying it out slowly slowly. one Mr Rajender Ms vinnie Mr Ajay these are the three people who is calling me regularly and harassing me over through phone daily in the morning. i just have to pay only 779 Dhs . i am not getting my salary on time that's the reason its getting late. they are calling me and telling all the bad words and black mailing that they will file a case against me to CID and they will catch me and will put in jail. only for 779 dhs why this bank authorities is harassing the customers and on top of that they and telling me that you are not willing to pay this amount that's why you are not paying Blah...blah..blah.. i started hating this banks service and due to banks technical issue they didn't provide me late payment fees and now asking for that amount which they didn't mentioned in the statement. i will suggest ADCB or City credit card because of the service from the bank. Rak Bank is giving the WorsTTTTTTTTTTT service, i hate this bank. 100000000000000000000000000000 dislikes to this bank and service.

My rak bank credit card is need settled and wirite off from the legal department, i need my settlement clearance to be issue, i was shock that your bank still asking me to pay my credit card balance along with interest inspite that i had pay more than my limit. Kindly do the needful very urgent, this is my number [protected], its very big harami especially in my situations that i have cancer and till this date i am still on the treatment stage. This is the reason that rak bank should settled my issue and provide me clearance letter, i have attached my proof of settlements.

This is my second complaint about this bank it could go on all day from not having my internet banking working for 3 years to not one staff being able to help, to unexplained charges on my account- found another AED100 today that I do know know what it is for, Credit shield charges not authorised and general harassment when it comes to outstanding payment on credit card which I cannot pay as it is a new card and noone seems to be able to tell me why I am not getting an authorisation code on my mobile- they said at the branch you need to get an authorisation code on your mobile...gee really?Just an awful bank which I will be closing the account shortly (when someone tells me how to do this as noone could help me at Marina branch) I could go on all day with these complaints. If anyone wants to get back to me they can call on [protected]. I bet them AED100 they will not be able to help me.
