Disappointing lack of support: a review of rakbank and fraudulent transactions
As a longtime customer of RAKBANK, I've always appreciated the convenience and services provided by this institution. However, my recent experience with fraudulent transactions on my credit card has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated.
Upon noticing unauthorized charges on my credit card statement, I immediately contacted RAKBANK's customer service to report the fraudulent activity and seek assistance in resolving the issue. To my dismay, the response I received was far from satisfactory.
Firstly, the process of reaching a customer service representative was cumbersome and time-consuming, with long wait times and automated menus that seemed designed to deter callers. When I finally connected with a representative and explained the situation, I was met with indifference and a lack of empathy.
Despite providing ample evidence of the fraudulent transactions, including timestamps, transaction details, and confirmation that I was in possession of my card at the time of these transactions, I was informed that RAKBANK could not assist me in reversing the charges. The representative cited their policy, stating that they were unable to guarantee protection against fraudulent transactions and that I would be held liable for the unauthorized charges.
This response is not only unacceptable but also contradicts the basic principles of customer service and consumer protection. As a loyal customer who has entrusted my financial affairs to RAKBANK, I expect more proactive measures to safeguard against fraudulent activity and a commitment to resolving such issues promptly and effectively.
Furthermore, the lack of support and accountability demonstrated by RAKBANK in this matter raises serious concerns about their commitment to customer satisfaction and integrity as a financial institution. It leaves me questioning whether I can continue to rely on them for my banking needs in the future.
In conclusion, my experience with RAKBAN regarding fraudulent transactions on my credit card has been deeply disappointing. I urge the bank to reevaluate its policies and procedures concerning fraud protection and customer support to ensure that loyal customers like myself are adequately safeguarded and supported in such unfortunate circumstances. Until then, I cannot recommend RAKBANK to others seeking a reliable and trustworthy banking partner.

This is very sad to say as a ex employee of rak bank twice both times it was very upsetting experience I had.
Managers abusing women coworkers very badly on daily basis..
HR can't take any action so end up with registration
Which gives them relaxation to continue the same with others for there (Managers) time pass.
There are few favourite spoon's in the bank digital experience team PL dept Cards dept by which managers are protected..
It's real very sad to take abusive words on me by managers on work floor.

Personal loan
I left the uae with remaining loan, but was continually paying abroad. I had left money on my bank before I left to continally pay the emi, they also received my eosb. I was paying them with minimum payments. However, I found myself having a financial difficulty to meet the monthly emi and I have asked them for restructure but are not willing to help. Now interest pile up and they threathen me with police and interpol actions. They called my company owner, manager, hr and admin. It is very shameful yet I do not have the means to settle the amount. I have told them to allow restructure so I can meet emi. It seems they want me to be in cycle of debt and just work to pay them only. I feel like I am trapped and i. Hopeless situation.

eosb not release
I left the company last Oct 2023 and got my EOSB in the same month. Last Nov 2023, I got an email from the collection department saying that my EOSB have been allocated in the personal loan. They just deduct it without my permission. Since I am employed now submitted last February 16,2024 in Al Quasais Branch. I called collection department but until now they didnt send the request to the collection department.
Desired outcome: Al Quasais Branch will send email to Collection Department asking to release my EOSB.

Which kind of service is this? Are hiring staff to make customer complain or to assist the customer?
Please train your agent that you are hiring human so that handle things depend on case basis,, not depend on 1234 policy and rules, even in military service there is a space consider special situation

Liabilty Letter
RAKBank doesn't t provide me liability letters for the sale of my apartment, doesn't t answer any of my emails and request, they just ignore me because I don t leave in the UAE anymore. I could be penalised for not providing the necessary document to the buyer. The sale agreement expires in 4 days and they don't care. I have tried to negotiate and made a payment of 1000 aed and today i was going to pay 1100 aed again to clear my overdue and close the account fully.
But then the legal departement replied quite rude that they are going to present a a case and cheque and give me travel ban.
This is not how proffesional banks should work to scare people that are doing their best to solve the situation.
I will clear the complete ammount of the card this month but it seems that you are not acting proffesiibal as it should be.
Also they told me this it not a call center when i tried to ask some questions on how i can manage to clear this.

RAKBank Credit Card has weak online security
RAKBank security measures for credit card online transactions are weak in the extreme with no consumer protection other than easily spoofed OTP.
I approved a 10AED charge via OTP on 26 May and 10,000AED was taken from my credit card. After disputing this charge RAKBank says this 10,000AED theft is my fault since I approved it via OTP. I APPROVED 10AED, NOT 10,000AED!
Other credit card providers have antifraud features to monitor consumer spending and to prevent frauds like this.
Use RAKBank credit cards online at your own risk. I certainly will never use a RAKBank credit card again, and will never perform any online transactions with RAKBank credit or debit card.
Desired outcome: Refund the stolen money that RAKBank allowed to be withdrawn AFTER I called the contact center and AFTER I emailed in an a Dispute Form.

Cash withdrawal/ pos machine
Dear Team,
We SRR Building Material Trading LLC [Account No. [protected]], are having the business bank account with you. We are extremely disappointed that we are reciving such a poor service from your bank on multiple stances. We are not getting the prompt services from the bank for our various requirements of business creating delays and hurdles in our business operaions.
We requested to Mr Hamza/ Siddiq for the POS machine for our newly opened branch in Sharjah on 03.03.2023. But no personel came yet from your bank to give us the requested POS machine. On a diffrent occasion, on 07.03.2023, while we were trying to withdraw cash from the branch, it took iternity of time to withdraw the same & the bank staff didn't cooperate much with us to our MD.
This is a major turn off for us & we want to register our serious disappointment with you. We hope for better services from the bank which is apparently lacking currently.
If this continues in future, we are afraid that we will be compelled to discontinue our relations with you and will look for other banks for our needs.

I had opened a company bank account with RSK bank and got a credit card with it with a limit of 10,000... I used the card and used to pay on time until I lost my job. I did not have a job for 3 years but the bank kept threatening me on legal action and were very rude.
Finally after three years I got a job, and when rak bank contacted me they told me they filed an execution against me even thou I was trying to negotiate with them and ask then for the final amount to arrange the money.
Now they are not providing the break up of the final amount and the bank charges... neither have they assisted in reducing the amount so that I can pay... the manager from RAK bank who handles recovery is rude and never states anything in emails but just passes speaks over the phone and no other information is provided by email just the amount to be paid...
I want to know how I can sort the execution without going thru rak bank as no one is helpful there as my intention is to pay the bank since I used the card.

RAKprotect got cancelled when I did not initiated a request to do so
I would like to raise a complaint with regard to my RAKprotect that got canceled.
I clearly stated and even spoke to one of RAKBANK's advisor/agents NOT to cancel my RAKprotect since way back on October 24, I received a call from one of RAKBANK's insurance agents offering me credit card insurance because according to her my RAKprotect is canceled; that is why I called RAKBANK why it was canceled and redirected me to insurance department and I CLEARLY say that I DO NOT want to cancel it.
Now, I am very disappointed with this kind of experience with RAKBANK and I couldn't understand why I get this kind of service.

Few days earlier a man called mohan, called me on my phone and started telling me that I should pay 8000 in two months. Which means 4000 per month and saying that he will reduce the amount till 7500. But that amount is very huge for me. I already told all my problems in previous mail. He is forcing me to pay the amount and threatening me with this issue. He's mentally torturing me and I'm in a depressive state of mind nowadays.
People in the authority should take action against this kind of behavior. Because this isn't the amount which I have to pay. This amount is only fine and late payment dues.I can pay the amount of 3000 which legally I have to pay. I'm requesting you to consider my situation and take action. Otherwise I could go to the court and I can explain everything over there. From doing that, they will let me pay the 3000 amount only. But I don't want that kind of clash between us. I think we could resolve this issue with a generous offer. You could stretch the payment duration by 4 months, it ould be a big relief for me. And please reduce the settlement amount to 4000. This is the way I could only pay in my condition now. Please resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Harassing calls for payment reminders and missed 1 payment for a structure payment scheme
I have a very unpleasant and disgusting experience with RAKBank. First I have agreed to make a settlement after harassing me with calls and contacting my directly our Managing Director on his company email and his mobile number complaining about my non payment. After settlement, and 2 years updated payment, I have missed 1 payment for a period of 9 days delay they have been using several different account on whatsapp, several mobile numbers calling me, different landline numbers on daily and almost nonstop, calling me at my workplace just to chase me for a mere 1,050 and 1580 payment. I know my liabilities and planning to pay and I am not running away, but the way they chase with the payment is like they are chasing a criminal and has millions of dirhams in liabilities.
Desired outcome: I'd appreciate if they stop calling me like crazy as it adds anxiety and expect from them a level of professionalism in dealing with people.

Rakbank is the most evil banking institution in the uae. I have arranged for my repayments to be done at the end of the month... They harras me mid month, even calling my place of work, a school... They refuse to debit your banks account for repayments, which means you need to hunt for a rakbank atm, which are rare and far between, to make payments, i missed one payment and have been paying the minimum amount due every month, however i received a call today (Saturday) that if i dont make a payment on Monday, my outstanding balance that was 10000 aed, will be now 22000 aed. I've asked if I can make payments when i get paid in 7 days, the man told me this is not his problem and I must arrange payments.i am alone in Dubai... This is impossible... The worst experience from the beginning. And worse, once i settle my CC, they still make it impossible to close your account... Don't bank with Rakbank, you will have a nightmare

Iv always known Rakbank that runs their business like thugs. Thye hire thugs instead of collection specialists. While i know its the duty of the bank to collect what they are being owed..but you also look at the situation of the people who dnt have jobs or income to settle the amount or even willing to pay with the installment plan in place. I wish alot more people who are victims of this bank come forward an file a case in the consumer court against their collection specialists sitting in Nehal building in particular. These guys are nothing short of a joke in my opinion. Evil indeed
eosb on hold and they will not release
I have provided all documents needed in the first place as soon I have change job and bank told me that they will release the eosb as soon as I comply the requirements. however, even if you already complied to all of the requirements (sal cert, new visa, new eid and passport) still they will make so many excuses not to release the money even if I am very religious paying my emi's on time without any default payments. How can this bank exist and treat/ financial harass to me as loyal customers for the past 9 years. As soon as the bank call via phone telling that we cannot release your money because we are going keep it as early settlement for your outstanding balance to your personal loan. It was clear before when you change job this will never be a problem and now they have to make so many [censored]s not to release the money. I have a new job and I can pay my loan as always. there is no reason for the bank to hold the money and decide to partially pay my eosb to my personal loan. I belief this is how they play the internal procedure and this is how they play their game. the same to all loyal customers who became the victims of thier internal scam as always.
Desired outcome: Release my eosb because there is no reason for you to hold that money in the first place.

914 EUR missing from a 18.781 EUR transaction
On the 21st June 2022 we were expecting 18.781 EUR, but only 17.867 EUR arrived to our account due to a double exchange loss.
Our client transferred EURs from Italy, specifically to our EUR account in UAE - for no currency exchange loss. However we experienced a double exchange loss, and 914 EUR is missing.
Desired outcome: I would like a reasonable explanation on who, and where made the mistake. We would like to be compensated.
