Toll free number no use.
I dont know why toll free number given to the customer. I would like to speak to the customer I am unable to talk to them. Press security number date of birth number other number but no use.
Better dont go to use and select the rak bank credit card.

cheque book
RAK Bank took more that 5 days to issue extra cheqe book to me and intially when i applied they said that only 1 checqe book allowed per month and i told them that i got an auto loan and need to provide 60 cheques that's why i need extra cheque book then they said please provide the loan approval then i have submitted with the nessary documents after that also they took more than 5 days to issue cheque book. RAK Bank customer service is the verse customer service i have ever seen.

I had missed payment on my visa card for the first time ever. The collection called me (after 18:00 when I was with my family) the next day I paid last months missed payment. Now why the hell is the bank calling me and sending me sms every single day to pay the present payment, when I still have more than one week for the due date.. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee stop sending me the sms.. And next time please call your customers only during office hours and not during family hours. (After 18:00)

very bad service - misleading
On a daily basis we receive phone calls from Rak Bank representatives to promote their product. For the last 2 weeks they were calling to do a Balance transfer with them. So I asked how much is the interest, they told me 0% for the first 3 months. And I asked do u charge anything else? They said no, and I asked again and insisted on " R YOU SURE" u dont charge anything. They comfirmed that NO additional charges.
I agreed on doing this Balance transfer. After 4 days i received a statement that they charged me AED 209 as Credit Shield.
OMG, what is wrong with this bank? How come they charge someone something without informing him.
Buttom line, these people are very bad in doing their sales calls, they mislead the clients just to make a sale and after that they ignore him.
By the way until today I haven't receive the money for the balance cheque.
I wish i can reverse everything, these people are not good for business.

very slow procedure, i wanted to open an account with them, and i was told it will be done within three working days, now it has been two weeks, and when i call the sales person, he keeps on telling me different reasons, such as department is having issues, earthquake, i am in a meeting, etc. now i am going to close my account, before it opens. to avoid all the issues that you guys are going through
Pre-Paid Credit Cards is misleading as application is Upon Approval. You will waste your time and money going to Rak Bank and when their System is not working, they will say that you are not approved because the application is not given to all. The system will only choose to whom it wants to open. Here's the catch, they will ask you to open an account with them first before getting a prepaid credit card. They are fooling people, making strategy to open an account with them. Can you please explain what PREPAID means? It is our own money and not your money, the heck for application upon approval. Is this a loan that needs approval? You will lose customers with this kind of system you have.

I applied for a Rak credit card 01/04 and got confirmation message that the card is being delivered on 05/04, I had to wait till 28/04 to receive the card! more than 15 call given to the customer service asking why is the delay? each and every time i raise a complain for that and the response given is " Sir ur card is with the courier company the delay is from their side" I didn't really understand them! should I call the courier company my self and follow up? After all I had to tell them that I'm going to report that to the police as you got an open cheque from me against the credit card but u never deliver the card, Only this time they start to act and finally received the card!
After all this drama I told them if you cannot handle card delivery to your customers how come you can manage their accounts and financial related issues?
Now I haven't received any statements so far! call and complains given with no action as always! I'm going to throw the card on their faces..

involuntary loss of employment insurance
Involuntary loss of employment insurance from RAK bank is a big lie, when i apply for the credit card all what i hear from customer service and sales man that they will cover my outstanding amount in case of termination up to 50, 000.00 Dhs at any conditions and I'm paying for two years for that insurance, many times i called them and asked them and the same reply i get every time whenever you get a termination of your contract the insurance will cover you.
then when the time comes to use that insurance the collection department rejected my request and asked me to read the terms and condition and specially the exclusions that you will find all the reasons for termination in there and they will reject it anyway
you can find the exclusions in the attached pages 26-27-28
and advise anyone you know to deactivate that insurance.

Hi, I also faced the same issue with Rak bank, and one of their sale person cheated me on opening a saving shield and never received my money back. Almost 12500 AED payed for 1 year and lost from my account.

I am writing to raise an official complaint against the gang of mentally sick psychopaths so called rakbank collections department who think that they can commit felonies such as slandering and threatening with no grounds or reason and with full intent to harm innocent people.
I received a call today from a person who identified himself as charith kanishka +[protected] informing me of one over due payment on my credit card as i am out of the country since apr 20th i delegated someone to do the payment in my behalf but unfortunately he forgot to do; i confirmed that i will settle this today either through asking relative of mine to pay directly in a cdm to assure that's it's reflected asap "which she did in less than 1hr of me receiving that call" or by myself first thing in the morning as i am arriving tonight..
He complained to me that they tried to call my mobile several times with no response i told him that my blackberry connection wasn't working where i was until today and that all calls were and still are forwarded to my office number which is attended by a voice mail service that i keep track of and i never got anything from them. He confirmed that he called but never left a message.
I took his details and told him that he will be informed the min the payment is done and he said that he will follow up tomorrow.
Less than 30 minutes later my mother called me to inform me that someone who refused to leave his name or details other than that he is calling on behalf of rak bank " with an arab egyptian accent" has called my family saying that he is calling from rak bank demanding that he speaks to me where he then viciously accused my father of hiding me because my father told him that i am not available at my parents house in my home country to attend that call! And then he told my father that i better pay or he would "hunt" me down! My father collapsed and my mother tried to understand the issue. Where that person had the audacity to lie to her and tell her that i have missed two payments of many and that i either "show my face" to the bank and pay or he will "drag" me to court and "scandalize" me in public in both uae and in my home country!
Appalled by what i heard i called the person who contacted me earlier -name listed above -where he denied calling my family and insisted that he added my commitment to pay to my account comments and that this callshouldn'tt have been done and denied any relation to that call or the caller...I asked him to provide me his managers details he refused and even went to the point of denying that there are any egyptians in his team that could have made that call!
As a result of the bank's thug criminal behavior my father has been hospitalized with a minor heart attack!
I'd hate to think or believe that a reputable bank like your bank " winner of several customer satisfaction awards" would tolerate or consider any action by those hooligans as justified as long as it gets it's money.
I strongly believe that such sick minded people who enjoy terrorizing people and their clear disregard of any law or regulation should be held accountable for their actions, and no matter how little my trust in this bank's regulations and procedures against such people has become after this traumatizing incident i decided to write this long complaint hoping it won't fall on to deaf ears.
Where first thing i will do upon my return is to raise an official compliant to the police with whatever little information i have about that "person" who did this in behalf of your bank which somehow now i regretfully feel that my case wont be the first one raised against that so called "department" whom its gang believe that they are safe from punishment or legal prosecution no matter how criminal their actions might be as long as they get the bank it's money.

My worst experience with RAK Bank customer care people.. Very careless behaviour from them..I have been using RAK bank credit card for the last 15 days.. It was activated by customer care representative.. I have made 3 transactions with 15 days span of time.. Today on 20/9/2011 when I asked customer care representative about my account transaction details, they asked me about my personal details for verification, then they said my date of birth entered in their database is incorrect and they blocked my card without informing me.. My question is when my personal data was entered incorrect in their database, why my credit card was activated for 15 days and why am i suffering because of the mistake from their end. I was asked to fax them my passport details for verifying for which I have to wait for 3 to 4 working days for activation.. I want it to be activated within 6 hours or else cancel my credit card.. If its not done within my expected time, the payment for the outstanding amount shall be made as per my mood.

non-payment of termination dues
I was working with RAK Properties for a little less than 3 years when my services were terminated giving reasons of "restructuring of the organization" Even 4 months after the termination, I was not paid my end-of-service benefits, balance salary etc. The company officials promised that transfer of dues to my salary transfer account was only a formality and being public Joint stock company, RAK Properties take time. I was compelled to leave the country with sweet promises. I am now back in UAE and request your advice on how to get my AED 106, 000 and interest for 4 months.

harrasment by collection department
I am customer of rak bank. A local bank in uae. I got delayed in two installments and the bank started harrasing me. This is a true story. First they started calling my parents in the home country and threatened them that I will be taken into custody by cid. The bank personnel inform all my salary data to another number in my home country (Which I gave at the time of taking the loan). Whole relatives in my home country got panicked and my poor mother fainted twice and taken to hospital. Not only that they inform all my personnel data to the person which I gave as reference. Then they started on me. Twice they came to my office. Believe me or not they talked to my collegues in the office and asked them to collect money for me otherwise I will be taken to jail. The most unfortunate thing happen when they talked to my 09 year old daugheter and my wife in uae and threatened them that I will be taken to jail. I had to consult a doctor and treat my wife to treat the after effect. There is no rule. They spoil the personnel life and social life of customers. Once I asked the bank if they are authorized to do so. Sometimes what they do is they promise they will help to restructure the loan facility and pay by borrowing freinds. Once I did that and when I go to the bank office they said they are not aware of such and promise they will check. Never happened. They have brought our familiy into chaos. There is no rule. I am still on the job, and I will finish the loan go out of this hell.

First of RAK Bank was from the first choices for me when I cam to UAE (2007), I heard a very good feed back about there treatment with costumers, and I paid every single payment on time, recently on of my friends in the office (pregnant) got a call from one of there employee (collection department) his name was ABD AL KAREEM (Egyptian)he talked in a very rude way with her for one of her late payment (she paid 300Dhs from 500Dhs) she replayed on him in a very polite way, BUT he was threaten her on the phone in a very an polite and rude way, she cried and told him that she paid already 300Dhs, there was no reply from him but threatening and RUDE, she closed the phone and start to cry.
when he rang again I told her to give me the phone to talk to him, I was talking with him in a very very polite way, he told me to give him my friend and not to talk to him, I told him if you want the payment I have the receipt and I was telling him the details, he asked me to talk to her again in a very rude way again, I told him that she is pregnant and crying and that he can talk to me, he insisted and told me, I SWEAR IF SHE IS NOT GOING TO TALK TO ME I WILL DO ALL KIND OF PROCEDURES THAT IT WILL HARM HER and will make her pay, realy I couldn't keep my temper and told him, I will close the phone and next time if you will talk in a polite way we will reply, you are working in a very respectful Bank, and your attitude reflect the Bank reputation, and I closed the phone.
he called her more than 11 times again but she did't reply on him, since that we respect RAK Bank but we don't respect the way that they are treating there COSTUMERS.
I hop RAK Bank Administration will see this complaint, and do there best to APPLY there (to be the customers first choice).
Really my friend i am not against any nationality, all what we want a decent respectful people on the help desk and collection department, because they are reflecting the reputation of their Company, and really what make you more upset that this company will take any action regarding this issue.

It will never happen. They have their own rules. They offer lifetime free cards, but once you take it you will get numerous charges, your life will be in hell, It's not lifetime free, it is LIFE TIME HELL. Beware of the RAK reps coming to your office with sweetest smile offering life time free credit cards with minimum docs. Once you sign the sheets and issue your check then those sweet smiling people will vanish. A LEGAL DEPARTMENT will call you.
Another thing RAK bank have another company called EURO marketing, which sometimes calling for customer surveys, and get all your data, such as salary, bank accounts, etc. Beware...

i am holding credit card and every month i am paying peopel from collection dept call and talk such rudely that it is unaccepable that this is bank or fish market are they bankes or fisherman, they call peopel Hammar (donkey) we will slap you if you dnnt pay now at this moment . how can a bank employ such staff who dnt no to talk . this is how bank works like grocery . i have their numbers [protected]. Let me introduce my self, abdul wahab, sharjah, from past one year i have been using rak credit card and doing the payment on time, but unfortunately from last three month i am delaying my payment only because i have no job, the customer care peoples are the worst people of rak bank, they take their customer for granted, one of the customer care person name ali working in al nihal building in qusais call my wife yesterday from his direct no.[protected].18pm till 1.30pm) regarding the same but she clearly explained the situation and promised him that the payment will be done by the end of this month.Despite explaining the problem this guy started abusing her using unwanted words which you can retrieve from the recorded tape.She was so embarrassed and kept on requesting him to reduce his voice but this stupid person never did so.My concern is the way he was talking was totally unprofessional and specially with the ladies which is unacceptable. Is this the way rak bank teach and train their staff to deal with their customer? She told him i will complain to your higher dept, but in return he told her even if i complain to their seniors it wont be any use, this is the way they talk, i suggest others not to deal with rak bank the worst bank in uae, very disappointing & bad experience with rak bank

I have been paying in time for the pass 6 months but now since I lost the job and not able to pay on time, most customer service staff of Rak is very rude and even calling my son in my home country to threaten him and even using a Philippine number .They don't have the right to call someone in my home country as I am reachable. Most of your staff namely Nader, Saleem, Kumel are threatening me and shouting every time they call.

I've been a customer of RAK bank for the past 10 years religiously doing the payments and making sure all payments are done timely. Now that I have some extra money wanted to close the card and loan that I have with RAK bank. I called asked the outstanding amounts to pay and did the payment promptly. Since that day every day I'm trying to call and request for a closure and I'm told to pay 100 aed sometime, 20 aed sometime, 160 aed sometime. This is continuing since the past 10 days . Every day I go to the RAK atm and do the payment and request for a closure and to my surprise I am told a new amount to pay ( Can you pay this amount now?). Everyday I get told this is the outstanding for now and you pay this and request for a closure, once I do this payment they give me a fake ref number for card closure which later I know does not have any meaning.
The customer care people are only playing around with customers and taking them for a ride.
I'm so frustrated and very upset with the bank. I was under the impression that RAK bank was a good bank but I am wrong.

Worst service ever!
I requested for NO liability letter on 20 April. Rak bank advised me I will get my latter after seven to ten working days but still I did not get any response from Rak bank. When I called them they put my call on hold after long time they gave me response without satisfaction answer at the end, so I am very disappointing!
Please advise me how I can get my no liability letter.

This is the second time i have complaint collection dept. They are rude and unprofessional on how they treat the costumers. Even just one month you missed the payment they will treat you like a dog or a ### criminal! I wrote to the bank on my first complaint then after 2 to 3 days i receive a call apologising to what the agent said to me. They assure me it will not happen again. They will make sure they will do action on that case. So then now what happen because i have missed one payment again now i received a call from this indian fellow forcing me to pay! Without even asking or saying greetings on the phone? This how he said " you have done the payment? I said " who is this " from rakbank he replied. Then i said ok im just waiting for my salary to pay my dues. He said how come your husband said will pay yesterday? " his tone is like you are ### criminal! Thats why i told him i will complaint you how the way you are talking! He said go ahead complaint and i will make sure i will force your paper to legal!"
Is this a normal way how the customer be treated once the payment have missed once? Is this how the bank way to collect money? No wonder why so many expats choose to escape rather than to pay because bank itself pushes them to do it!

I have been defaulting with the bank for 2 payments and i get regular calls from the bank.But since last 2 months, the collections people call and starts abusing. They even doesn't bother to hear what am i trying to say, only what they tell is today i need the payment before 4 pm. They use such words like stupid guy, dumb, begger, theif and b**t*rd. This s not the way to deal with customers. I got a call demanding for payment of 2200 aed immediately and when i asked for more time, a illetrate lady starts speaking and abuses my parents they this is what they thought you to come in others country and steal money. After few minutes, a guy calls asking for the payment and i had explained everything. In reply he says" is that my problem". Then he starts asking that where i spend the money. Before i could tell him anything he asks me that which bar i go and drink, how many girls have i picked of that money. When it was untoleratable i asked him his name, he replies; call back later on same number and you will get my name in voice mail. Then he just kept abusing and atlast he disconnected the line. I called back and wanted to speak to the manager its going on voice mail. His name was mohamed zaafraan and the lady who called before her name was sara. I don't understand how does the bank hire this kind of people. Trust me if a customer never answers the bank calls he will be very happily living.

Friends who are going to read this please refer to my previous complaint drafted against my Insurance claim with RAK BANK.As a result of that I recieved a call from RAK Bank and finally I recieved a letter from their side stating that the insurance is declined.So the result was I lost the money which i paid for Credit Shield .Now recently I got a call from rak bank legal section stating that there is a legal case going to be filed against me because i have some bounces reflecting in my current account(A/c No [protected].To avoid that Im supposed to pay 1200 Dhs and close the account.The call was from a person who was not even clear to explain as to why Im supposed to pay this.Also RAK Bank was aware that I lost my job and have the termination letter in the records.Now without a job my cheques got bounced and what should I do to make them realised .For this Bank needs 1200 to be paid.Why there is no proper notification in this rgard from the bank people?How can they expect me to pay for an account that Im not using and that too having proper records that I got terminated and Im jobless.No other banks are having such a poor service.Such a poor process.Im really fed up of this.Im searching for a job since 1 year and what should I do for this.Any RAK BANK OFFICIALS, please do inform me the details to [protected]@gmail.com.Im wondering why they didnt inform me along with letter that they had send to me regarding my insurance claim.They are not bothered on that and now for this...WHat service.I advice all my friends to read my experience before you decide to get a card or open an account with RAK BANK

I setteled the amount I need to pay to RAK bank from India 2.5 years back...Bank agreed to discount the amount of 500 dhms and I paid rest of the amount in US dollars...it was 4000 UAE dhirms
Now the bank came back asked for another payment of 4000 Dhs saying it aggregated to that amount...An agency in Cochin is carriying out this...
So please be aware of any RAK bank sttelements you make through India you cant trust thease guys its all scam...And how these people operate with Credit cards
