Early Sunday morning, on March 30, 2024, I went into the Ralphs store located on Los Angeles mid-city at 4760 Pico Boulevard with the intention of purchasing rolls and yogurt for breakfast. I am 67 years old and have never stolen or physically abused anyone. I am pretty much a good Catholic woman. A 20-year-old Security Guard (who would not provide his name), called me a "white [censored]," said I was trespassing and that I would have to leave the store immediately. I was astounded and said that I needed to use the bathroom first. With gun in hand, he followed me up the aisle towards the back of the store, and then pulled me backwards by grabbing the hood of sweatshirt, with the intent to make me fall. He also proceeded to grab my right arm in a most inappropriate way. I FELT BATTERED, ABUSED, AND TRAUMATIZED BY HIS ACTIONS. As a result of feeling threatened — I began to scream. The manager, an older white man named Dan, said I was making a scene and kept taking photos of me with his cell phone. The other manager, a young Hispanic woman by the name of Maria Reyes, just seemed to aid and abet the Security Guard and Manager Dan in their abusive and criminal behavior towards me. Since that incident, I have continued to have headaches and suffer from trauma as a result of their cruelty. This store is not worth patronizing, although I have been a "customer" there and going there for 30 years. IF THEY ABUSE WOMEN AND SENIORS, EVERYONE SHOULD BOYCOTT RALPHS. AND THE KROGER COMPANY SHOULD PAY REPARATIONS FOR THEIR INTENTIONAL INFLICTION OF EMOTIONAL DISTRESS.
Claimed loss: $100 in Emotional Distress and Medical Bills for trauma, causing headaches (and backaches) as a result of the abuse
Desired outcome: Apology to me and a check for $100, as a paid reparation
