Rates increases-deceptive notices
We are a local company in business in Wooster, Ohio since 1981. We moved to our current location in 2007. We made Republic our designated waste company.

We signed a renewal contract in Aug., 2021 for 3 years. Upon signing this contract it was understood that Republic would honor the quote of $72.95/mo. In June, 2022 the rate started climbing up.
Since we are on auto-pay, we did not notice this until recently.
Rates of $91.25 continued from June, 2022 until March, 2023. Then in April 2023 rates jumped again to $118.63.
Fuel fees have also been way too high. From $22.75 to approx. $44/mo.
This is not acceptable! We would have preferred that your company would have notified us by LETTER. Then, we would have been given the opportunity to agree or not. But, it was deceptively posted in small writing on our bill.
Again, we have been with your company since 2007...
We contacted the local Massillon Ohio office and spoke with several people all who have taken a deaf ear to our complaint.
We have since notified the Better Business Bureau of this deceptive business practice and want Republic to credit us the difference back and remove the fee of $35 also since they put us on their "service interrupt" fee.
Desired outcome: Credit back the difference of $72.95 every month it has gone over our signed agreement ($256) along with fuel overages ($200).
Driver thinking he is entitled to use the entrance as an exit for his own convenience when he obviously entered the premises using the exit.
I am complaining about one of your drivers who came to collect trash at the apartment complex in which I reside. The complex is Palm Shadow Apts. located at 50 Monte Vista Ave., Chula Vista, Ca. 91910. On July 18, 2023 at approximately 12:15 pm, I was entering the complex from Monte Vista Ave. when there was a garbage truck blocking my entrance. It was emptying recyclable containers. The entrance is ONE way in and ONE way out...A "U" shape entrance and exit. This vehicle was attempting to exit through the entrance. My backing up would be against the flow of traffic thus making it illegal. It is important to follow the flow of traffic in order to avoid accidents and ensure safety.
In an attempt to speak with the driver, he could only Hear Himself! I was going to express that this is not an exit and that I was going to pull over to the left in an attempt to allow him to exit in the Wrong Direction against the flow of traffic. He is not exempt by the Laws of the state of California.
The vehicle number is #1242..License plate #:29366D1 or 2936601.
Please advise this driver that he must adhere to the rules and regulations just like everybody else does...No Exceptions!

Republic services (Niles, Ohio).
Never had so many problems with a trash company in my entire life. Unreliable, they hire snot nose, sour human beings who swear in front of your kids, and mean mug your house while your in your front porch. Literally go with anyone else besides this worthless company. I've been with them 3 years and they miss my house at least 3-5 times in a 6 month period. They don't show up when you SCHEDULE bulk pick up.
Their reps will tell you one thing, and the garbage men say another. Completely unprofessional company. The neighborhood I live in looks like a hurricane hit it when their done doing their "jobs". The most lazy, inconsiderate, unprofessional trash company I've ever had the misfortune of having to deal with for trash in my life. Even when you schedule a missed pickup they still don't show up to pick it up. They inactivate your account without telling you and then charge you $45 to get it active again for literally no reason. [censored]. I have no idea what I'm paying for when they have hardly shown up for bulk pick up leaving me to drag heavy items back into my house sometimes two weeks in a row (4 times) even after they were soaked in the rain and deactivating my account for no reason when all the reps are telling me they have no idea why it happened. I have even had to city called on me for my trash being out too long while waiting and waiting and waiting for them to come by and pick it up and never showing. My trash was supposed to be picked up over a week ago and it sits on my lawn as I type this. I called earlier... twice... and was told the pick up was scheduled for 8 am but they were running late and AGAIN... they never showed.
Desired outcome: Just a normal trash pickup with trashmen that don't swear in front of my kids and mean mug my house with a piss poor attitude on their face. And who also don't trash my neighborhood.
Residential garbage pickup

4/20/23 Bill had an increase from approx. $120 per billing cycle to $295.05 per billing cycle. I contacted the company and they said that they would credit my account and adjust my bill so that it would be approx. $100 per billing cycle.
6/20/23 I got another bill and it was $290 approx. again! I called again today 7/3/23 and the lady said she would adjust my monthly bill to approx. $100 per billing cycle and issue a credit - but I would still have to pay $202.77! Even with a credit because she said she couldn't credit me any more than she did...?
This should have all been taken care of on 4/20/23 when I called the first time so why am I being forced to pay $202.77 for Republics mistake?
Desired outcome: I am willing to pay the $96.76 for the billing cycle that is due.... I want the $106.01 remaining (Your error!) to be credited as well (she is crediting a small amount already)
Garbage and recycling service
Republic is terrible. They are unreliable! They send a message all the time that they do t have enough drivers or cancel recycling pickups. I went to cancel my service and they want me to pay a $60 pick up fee and tacked on a $30 gas/service fee.
I live in a huge subdivision and will be sharing this on our FB page. I see more and more people cancelling with them and going to best Way.
They want me to pay a pick up fee but were never on time or cancelled and always increased fuel fees as much as they could.
Super dissatisfied customer.

Cancellation of our service
I called 3 times and emailed to cancel this service and now I have been sent to collections! I called on 1-23-23 to cancel, emailed on 2-9-23 they responded I had to call they couldn't cancel via email so I called on 2-9-23 and then again on 2-28-23 to remind them to pick up our cans. I then got a letter stating I have been turned over for collections I don't think so! Come get your can, remove my account from collections and update my credit report. The next letter will be from our Attorney Richard Martin if I do not get a letter in 10 days stating this issue has been resolved and cleared. I can email you copies of my phone logs and email if you would like.

Resident twice missed trash pick up
I pay Republic Services for two trash bin pickups which is to be done on Mondays, they didn’t pick up one of them so I called to schedule a missed pickup, they said they would pick it up yesterday Monday the 26th of June but on my account it stated pickup for the 27th, that was fine with me. Today a small pick up comes to collect the missed pickup and they left a bag of food in the bin, it wasn’t heavy nor stuck “I checked” so I had to call again for another missed pick up and was told they will not go back for a bag left and o explained they had to because it was their fault in the first place and so it was scheduled now for the 28th. They would not allow me to speak to a manager or any higher up, if the bag with food rota and develops maggots I have to clean that up and I pay more with Republic than what other companies charge. Unacceptable
Desired outcome: Main headquarters a manager or supervisor to contact me and for them to return on the same day if they missed a trash pick.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Trash billing
My container was suppose to be picked up on the 30th of April 2023 and my account canccelled. However the autodraft is still billing my a
bank account up until now, May and June shp
ould not be billed.
Please turn off autodraft and be sure the container is picked up. I am currently overseas.

Republic Services
Republic Service has not picked up trash on my street for a week! They have consistently missed trash pickup on my street, for the last 3 months. They are supposed to pickup Tuesdays and Fridays, and they only pickup once a week, if we are lucky. The area manager does not seem to care either. I have called to escalate my concerns multiple times. Republic Service needs to credit everyone on my street. It's over 100 degrees, and the trash is piling up, this is not ok!
Trash was not picked up and it's several time it has happened
Tuesday, June 20th, 2023 The green trash bin was not picked up by Republic services.. what is upsetting is that it has bin several times they don't come by and pick up, I call and the person I speak to makes excuses. However I took pictures myself for personal records and it follows their regulations. This service has lazy employees. Or just a bad service.

What I want are two 35 gallon trash cans, please.
June 5, 2023, three weeks ago your employee picked up my 35 gallon trash can without notifying me. When I called Republic Services the next day I was told it was because I had two trash cans that were not the same size. At that time I told them to pick up the 95 gallon can and give me two 35 gallon cans because I am a disabled elderly person and it's difficult for me to handle the 95 gallon can this can was only used by my gardener when shrubs needed pruning. It has now been two weeks that I have been told that I'm on the schedule for the cans to be delivered.
I called on June 13th and I called today June 19th and was told by Lisa at [protected] that I was on the schedule, again no delivery of the cans.
Desired outcome: Pick up the 95 gallon trash can and give me two 35 gallon cans.
Garbage not being picked up/ finally being picked and the guy is pissy right in front in my house
Garbage schedule is scheduled to be picked up on June 6 I called and notify Republic on June 7th of the missed pick up, they schedule a pick up for Thursday June 8th. 5pm I called notified them they haven’t picked up yet. I was told they have 6am-6pm to pick up. On Friday I called well they didn’t pick up at all. I requested a credit for 2 missed pick up. They told me would be back on track for next schedule day of June 13th. I said please do it’s full full. And if the lid was open bc to much in there take it anyways it’s their fault. 13th came around no pick up. And now I’m furious calling corporate and regional trying to get ahold of anyone I can to resolve the problem. And get it picked up on the 14th. Finally a morning disposal truck shows up to pick it up on the 14th and the guy relieves hisself right in front of my house. Please remember kids are on summer break! My 9 year olds records and takes pictures of him doing and takes picture of the pee on the road in front of my house.

Trash truck 3430 lost several bags of trash from 565 headed south to landfill and down Leeman Ferry at 5:15am
I have video of truck 3430 losing tons of trash because of damaged or no tarp at all. This will be turned over to Huntsville Police department. Please call [protected] so we can discuss a resolution.
Being negligent about tarping properly is costing the city thousands of dollars a year cleaning up behind paid companies.
Please send crews immediately to pick up bags and litter on these roads. I will be sending this to ALDOT as this load was being lost on State owned roads until driver reached Leeman Ferry exit.
Desired outcome: Clean up your mess and follow the tarping laws. Inspect your trucks daily. Don't let drivers overfill their trucks or pickup roll off dumpsters that are over filled.
Republic service garbage pick up
Every Tuesday on garbage pick up day… My garbage man picks up cans & “continues to roll” setting cans down in-front of the next door neighbors yard!.. he will pick up a garbage can at my neighbors and drop in front of my house.. I wouldn’t mind,
except on windy days..
which is always up here..

We have had 4.missed trash pick up from may 4 2023 to June 3 2023 every time we call they will have supervisor look into it. It’s a shame they let this company get away like this.I told them that we will keep on complaining, to some one listen, It appeals the drivers is in charge, Next time at neighborhood meeting we will discuss this problem. This company have no business being in business. I sorry to say they stink.

I paid the $69.00 fee two weeks ago, I have called five times to request a pickup. I have had 3 confirmed pickup’s that never happened.

Trash pickip
On March 29th our trash was not picked up. I called to complain and was told that a Supervisor would reach out to us. Three days later no call and still no trash pick up. I called again. Same response only this time a local supervisor would reach out to us. Still no call, no pick up. We pay for a service that is provided “sometimes” yet the payment is taken without fail. This company is a rip off but we are forced to use it because there are no options.
Desired outcome: A consumer agency to step in and hold them accountable.

We started with Diggens Republic Services bought out. Service has declined 125% since Republic Services began our service. Over the last 90 days we have experienced completed failure to pickup our dumpster of manure we are scheduled twice a week due to HOA restrictions. Failure to pick up the dumpster is resulting in manure being placed on the ground. We cannot have a larger dumpster due to size We have not issues if the service completed twice/week. Continuous complaints placed and no results. Promises Promises
If there were any other services available in our area we would have changed immediately

Driving on landscaping
I have my trash picked up in the alley and ever time they leave to turn out onto the main road they run over my landscaping. I understand my inconsiderate neighbors park directly across the alley on the road and it’s a tight turn for them but that’s not my problem. Please stop driving over the landscaping. If you need to then talk to the people across the street. I understand the frustrations of operating a garbage truck, I did for a couple years. If someone was making in difficult for me to get where I need to go, I would simply leave a note or talk to them, simple as that. Please stop driving on the corner of my property! The ruts are getting deeper and deeper. One other thing, I’ve had 2 gallons of used motor oil MARKED IN CLEAR CONTAINERS sitting on my dumpster every time they come by and I see on my camera that they just pick it up and set it on the ground. PICK IT UP, it’s your job.

We hired them to pick up trash and recycling. They have never picked up recycling on time. I use the app to report a missed pick up. After over a month of this, I finally started to call. I call them every day now. Our recycling bin sits in front of our house on average for about a week. I speak to someone every day. Every day they say it's been escalated, and they don't understand why it's not being picked up and they promise it will be picked up tomorrow. Or someone will call me back. No one calls me back and it's still sitting in front of our house. No refund has been given or offered. When I went to cancel, they just said okay- we'll pick up the bins on April 11th, until then we will still provide services. Trash is still sitting out front. DO NOT USE unless you enjoy your trash bins in front of your house for about a week on average. DO NOT USE unless you enjoy giving your money to a scam company that doesn't do what they are hired to do.
Desired outcome: For them to pick up my recycling!
