Good evening,
Someone I know closely works for Republic Service in Tampa, FL. There was a recent hurricane in Florida that caused major devastation and created a wave of financial hardship for many. Instead of this company not only helping with relief, they closed for several days during the storm. The emplyees actually showed up to work and were sent home. Now they are told they will not be paid for storm days. These are full time employees who are not being paid and told to use their PTO if they want to be paid for days that there was a closure and they showed up to work. Can someone please answer to this policy?

Dumpster rental overcharge
In August I rented a dumpster, filled it earlier than our estimate & called to request an early pickup. Person on the phone scheduled it & asked if I wanted an empty dumpster for the remaining time (had requested 9 days originally) & said the cost was $0.00 because it was same initial period. Old removed, new delivered & all OK.
Nearly a month later, received voice msg that I owe nearly $800 for second dumpster.
Bulk Pick Up
Called on 09/19/22 to request a bulk pick up for 09/21/22 and was told I was on the schedule. Well, they failed to pick up the bulk items that were placed curbside on 09/21 and when I called later that day during business hours their system wasn't taking any more calls. "To try back later," and of course when the system finally picked up the call they were closed. I called them back the morning of 09/22 and a supposed escalation report was created and that they would pick it up on 09/23. Another failure to pick up the items on 09/23 and another call to them to have another escalation report created for a pick up on 09/26. Did the same thing on 09/26 and another failure to pick up the items on 09/27. It's 09/28, 5 different calls to them, 3 escalation reports, supervisors were notified as well, and the items still haven't been picked up.
Desired outcome: Snap out of it and get your act together. This used to be a good service.
Courtesy bin exchange
Had a missed service on the trash bin the week before labor day. due to a long weekend that missed pickup became a putrefied maggot infested mess with the smell permeating the plastic. A courtesy bin exchange was approved, but has yet to be completed despite Republics system showing this was complete but that is complete nonsense.
This has become comical and shows how [censored]ty the actual service provided by this company is, the inability to accommodate this exchange over the course of a month is absolutely ridiculous and embarrassing.
Desired outcome: REPLACE THE BIN
Billing
I was with Randy’s Sanitation and Recycling. My price was locked in for a year at $69.42. My payments were automatically deducted. Republic Services took over and my payments were no longer automatically deducted and my new bill is now $97.34. I have talked to numerous people at the company and they just kept transferring to other people/departments as they could not help me. I asked for a supervisor and was told one would not be able to talk to me for 24 to 48 hours later. I never got a return call. I called again today and was transferred 3 times and was, “Disconnected.” I asked for a supervisor and was transferred again and was transferred Sandy. I asked her if I could have her email address so I could send her a complaint and she refused to give it to me. After about five minutes of talking to her she reluctantly gave it to me and stated she didn’t know why I needed to send something. This has been a very frustrating and exhausting experience trying to settle my bill and have the bill lower as that is the price I agreed to for a year when I signed up. I don’t know how another company can take over and raise the bill $27.92 and tell me that that is the best price and it is actually higher than that now.
Desired outcome: Honor my one year price that I agreed to.

Spruce Street Jerseyville Illinois 62052 i got first bill from 3 months saying it over due and my service is canceled I didn't receive any bill beforehand I tried pay by phone but it kept giving wrong account number and bill amount wrong so I made a phone call 3 times same day it kept me on hold 50 minutes each time then hung up. Service Request
I called Monday 12th for a dumpster to be placed on Thursday 15th. I signed the proposl and assumed all was good. On Thursday my boss called and said where is the dumpster? So I called, and was given the runaround and told, oh it was flipped to this department etc. I said so where is the dumpster, I have 4 men waiting around plus my boss. Oh Ive put it through as priority and such and such will call. NO they did not call. I called back, had to go through it all AGAIN, told the same garbage and NO CALL. I went online the "CHAT" to see if I could get any help, that did not even pick up, 2 hrs, that thing sat waiting on a Republic rep to pick up, still NOTHING. At this point I gather it was the construction rep for the area in question North Carolina, that dropped the ball. I called again today as Republic had not bothered to get back to me. I had to explain it all AGAIN. I was told it was the construction outdoor rep or whatever (I have his name) that has not been getting back to me. Once again high urgency , respond and call the customer, ME. As of yet he hasn't bothered. I put in a bad review on their website and the construction rep for a different area called me. I explained the situation and he assured me he would help and tell them to respond ASAP, he was helpful. As of yet they have yet to call, or email or in fact lift a finger to resolve this situation. There is NO email address to complain to, their CHAT is a joke no one answers. I can only imagine if customer service is as poor as I have experienced it's hardly a wonder their phone lines and CHAT lines are tied up 24/7. Horrendous customer service. Bad bad show for a business.
Desired outcome: Dumpster at the location by tomorrow morning Sat 17th.

My daughter and I had 2 trash cans I was paying on. The bill was around 70 dollars every 3 month and went up to 120 to 130 every 3rd month. I paid the bill so now there is only one person in the home and after all the clean up only one trash can was required... So one trash can is what I called and let you know. The trash cans were getting ran over so I just placed the parts by the road and you picked it up... However the bill did not go down. Instead I was told the bill had increased and I saved no money and still had to pay the 130 every 3rd month. Now it has increased again to 140 to 150 every 3rd month..
I have called and complained many times. Not sure what to do... Its more then my taxes on my house and I don't even have but a 1/2 of a can 99 percent of the time...

Santa Ana recently switched to Republic and since then I have to call in 2-3 times a month because they miss picks up even though I have told them repeatedly what our business hours are and that they could even switch our pick up day as the company next to us gets 2 pick ups a week, a day before and a day after us, in the afternoon. Ask for a credit as I have to waste my time contacting them about missed pick ups and their replky was "so sorry, since you called in and we rescheduled service for a pick up in a day or 2 it was not a missed pick up" The current service from this company is the pits.
In 5 years of having Waste Management service out location I may have called them 3 times in total. Totally unacceptable service and if I could leave a 0 star review I would!

to whom this may concern we have been having a problem with our trash pick up for months now and I called the office and the problem still hasn't been solved it's been a week trash still here I called the office and they said it would be picked up

Republic Maintenance at night.
Republic Services at 130 Somerset Dr NW, Conover, NC 28613 , has repeatedly over the last year, has continually broken the noise ordinance. I have spoken to manager a few times about the guy at night, that runs a blower, at 2am, 4am, 6am, you name it, he continues to run that blower. The manager always says it's a specific employee, and it stops for a couple of weeks, only to start up again, like it did this morning, at 4am.
This could easily be stopped, just by removing the problem, the blower and locking it up everyday, before the Nightshift gets there. I've also spoken to the police department a couple of times, and they indicated that the noise ordinance is being broken. I'm planning on going by the station this time, and instead of calling, physically walking in and filing a report. If that doesn't work, then it's gonna be time to use my pay for legal, and do something about this, as the manager can't seem to handle it.
Desired outcome: The guy running the blower in the early morning hours, is stopped. Noise ordinance is 11pm to 8am, no noise the blowing can't wait until daylight hours, even the police said that. They can't believe this is happening either!
Dumpster pickup
Senior apartment in Ennis Texas hasn’t had our dumpsters emptied in two weeks! Dumpsters are overflowing. I called every day and kept being told they would be emptied that day for a week. Called and asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold and left for 25 minutes. No one ever came back. But our autopay came out twice so it isn’t because of no payment. Going into a holiday weekend with new people moving in and no place for trash, I called Friday and begged for our dumpsters to be emptied. My next calls will be to the city and health department!

Martinez garbage pick up or lack of...
I have lived in Martinez for over 20 years mostly in the Mt. View District (between Hwy4 and the refineries--4 diff address - move about every 5 years).
Since COVID, the services has really downgraded. Charging more than what services we are receiving, missed pick ups and promises to pick up by next business day--if you can get through at all. And during the hardships for folks while all the shelter in place was going on, the state website to help folks with rent and utilities--this company never helped. They stop service, charge a $35 stop service charge, charges to restart AND late fees.
PG&E, Water, and all other utilities have waived back charges, fees, did not stop service or charge any extra fees. AND received the pandemic help from the state and credited folks. Not this company. They have consistently held fast to charging and upcharging and providing the worst possible service (bare minimum is giving too much credit). Martinez needs to fire them.
Desired outcome: Better customer service, lower fees, answer calls and and when complaints are filed, a Supv should follow trucks on route to ensure no garbage on street, cans emptied, neighborhoods aren't missed. We want accountability
Dumpster ordered & charged but have not received
We placed an order on 8/15/22 for a 20 yard dumpster for our residence. We signed the 7 day contract and they charged my card on 8/15/22. We were told we would receive the dumpster on Wednesday, 8/17/22. We called at 10:30am to ask for an eta time. We were told that the sales person who took the order entered wrong information on the contract and the dumpster was not going to be delivered. NO ONE called to notify us of this. While on the phone with a manager I signed a new contract and was told the dumpster would be delivered on Friday 8/19/22. We called 3 times throughout the day to get an eta. We were told it was on schedule to be delivered, but it wasn't dispatched yet. Finally at 4:45pm we called to see if it was going to be delivered and we were told it was a rollover and it would be delivered on Saturday 8/20/22. Well it is Tuesday 8/23/22 and it still has not been delivered and they charged us over a week ago. I will be issuing a complaint to our city also. Horrible customer service and you cannot contact anyone above a sales manager. Worst disposal company to have to use!
Trash can pickup charge
I was not advised upon starting service that upon termination of services. They were going to charge me to pick up container and pay to have it cleaned so someone else could use it to put there trash in. I'm sure they are double charging. Charging to drop of.can at beginning of service and charging again to do call clean it ! Very poor business practice!

Organic Waste Container
08/20/2022, recently the republic trash services enforcing all business to get an organic waste because of the new California Senate Bill. We been on the program only 1 month and out of the month already has 2 missed pick up. First time I called in, I was told staffs shortage and they will have the dispatcher reaching out to me. Didn’t get no call or update about it. Yet again, missed pick up again. We understand the staff shortage but at least give us some sorts of credit instead of charging your customers as if the company is doing their job but they ain’t. If the company can’t deal with a new program yet then don’t force businesses to start the “new organic recycling program”. Republic service ain’t here for customer, just really here for the money

Republic has to be one of the worst managed companies in the USA. I have experienced firsthand how unreliable this company is in dealing with customer service. I pay my bill on or before due date, but my services are not as reliable. Every week I must call to try and get my Trash or Recycle picked up. The executive team for this company must be blind. All reviews I have read are horrible. Why do say you can service people when you know for a fact that it is not going to happen. I really think your executive team is hoping customers pay their bills without receiving any service. Today I am writing a letter to the AG Office in Missouri. I would like to see if people of this state that are using Republic waste services are REALLY getting what they are paying for.

7/7/2022 Thursday approximately 1200 Noon, your companies truck caused damage to my hood of my pickup truck when the operator was putting the trash can back down. A bottle flew from the trash can and hit the hood of my truck. Looks like the operator was in a hurry. I have video confirmation, however it is 71 MB which too big to upload, please provide another option for me to send this video to your company, please?
