I made a reservation at Best Western Plus Marina Gateway Hotel in National City California for the dates of August 20-22, 2023. The itinerary number is [protected]. A hurricane and tropical storm was happening the weekend we were planning to travel.
On Friday, August 18 I started the process of trying to change the dates of my hotel reservation. I contacted the hotel, as well as the third party I made the reservation with. I was unable to get in contact with the third party after multiple attempts.
On Saturday August 19, I continued the process of trying to change the dates. Once again, after multiple attempts, I was unable to reach the third party reservation place. Once I got finally got in contact with them, they said I had to work through the hotel. When I contacted the hotel, they said I had to work with the third party.
I do not want to cancel my reservation, only change the dates due to the weather situation. I was able to change my flights, as well as rental car, and theme park tickets, but am still trying to get this taken care of.
I have contacted this third party company multiple times. The last time I spoke with them on Monday August 21, they said they were unwilling to work with me because I didn't show up for the reservation on Sunday August 20.
Once again, I had to make changes to our travel plan due to Hurricane Hillary.
Desired outcome: There are two possible desired outcomes. 1. I would like to change the dates of my hotel reservation from August 20-22, 2023, to September 17-19, 2023. 2. If the date change is not possible, I would like a refund of the charge $660.07.
