Reservation
On 5/14/2020 I called [protected] and clearly pointed out at the beginning of the call that I was booking a reservation for 5/14/2021 for LaQuinta Inn in Lynchbury, VA for my son's graduation.
From what I hear the representative say as she was quickly going over the summary was the correct date. Yet I was billed for 2020 not 2021. I contacted Reservation Desk to have the matter corrected but they refuse to correct the issue.
For resolution, I would like a refund of the charges incorrectly billed. It would be nice if the correct booking was maded.

This company represented themselves as actually being the Hyatt. Afterward I discovered the rate they charge is greater than the rate the Hyatt changes directly. Plus additional undisclosed fees. I finally contacted the hotel directly and found that the room was actually booked through Priceline.
Even though they represent themselves as being the actual hotel, they are not even third party agents, they are fourth party.

I attempted to call Holiday Inn Express in Redbluff Ca on 11/23/2019. I asked if I was talking to someone at the hotel desk and was told I was. I was lied to. I was actually talking to a third party employee at: Reservation-desk.com. My credit card was charged $118.72 for the room and another $39.90 in taxes, fees and service charge for a total of...

I went to what I thought was the website for the hotel in Miami, FL. However, when I clicked on the book it icon I was taken to another site. I did not realize this was not the hotel's private reservation site and attempted to book a room. I received an error message and after reviewing the information, tried to book the room again. It still did not work and as a situation arose that required my attention, I closed out the screen and was planning to call the hotel and make the reservation. I then received 2 emails stating I had 2 reservations under 2 different confirmation numbers later on that day. I had to leave the office so decided I would get in touch with them in the morning and cancel one of the reservations. I called them numerous times trying to resolve this. Talked with the hotel who had not been paid for either reservation and advised me to contest at least the 1 room, which I did. And when we arrived at the hotel, the reservation had still not been paid so we had to pay again. We are now fighting with our credit card company about the SCAM double booking from www.reservationdesk.com and the terrible service they offer. We paid 3 times for 1 room because of their scam!
false reservation
I was booking an overnight stay on the Holiday Inn Express website for a stay in Everett, WA. for 10/16/19. After entering the date, the availabilities popped up as usual. The first listing said, for best rate, choose here. Which I did. I did not see that the best rate actually changed my desired date to a week later. Upon arrival, on the 16th, there was no reservation. Tristan, at the front desk, found the reservation for the 23d. I told him how I had booked, and his exact words were, "This happens all the time." He was unable to fix the problem. I immediately called Reservation.com and spoke with Jackie to request a refund of $131.55 after explaining what happened. She stated it was a non-refundable reservation. I informed her that Tristan said he would approve the refund if she called him. Next day, an email stating it was under review. 2 days later, an email from Sarah Buchanan, customer service, informing me she spoke with a Melany at Holiday Inn and that this was an acceptable non-refundable situation. Jacki never called Tristan, who was actually working. I am sending a letter of complaint now, and will report to the Attorney General if I receive no refund. At the very least, Reservation.com is sneaky, but I feel this is fraud. And I am also writing Holiday Inn advising they don't allow this company to pop up on their website.
This is a rip-off. When you type in a hotel a web page comes up with a picture from the hotel. You assume you are on the hotel's website. Then when you book they tack on a huge fee, disclosed only after the booking. In my case it was $83.64 for a room that was $163. Of course it is non-refundable This is a criminal enterprise and should be put out of business.

I have continued to submit my request for the FMEA rate to the Westin Hotel in Florida. I have received conflicting responses from different locations (Sinapore, Tampa etc). I have contacted FMEA (Florida Music Educators Association) sponsoring the convention and they urged me to continue to contact the hotel individuals. Each time I contact I get a different individual with different results. One person as noted indicated we were at the FMEA rate for two nights. Then we got a response indicated there was a cut off date for registration indicating that after a certain date there was a deposit of one night's stay required as a down payment. The latest indicates that the two nights at the $199 reduced rate are not accepted. Now, we are supposedly registered for all the nights but at a HUGE amount for night. I fulfilled the requirement and called immediately for the FMEA reduced rate on the day of enrollment. Is there some way that a person who is in management can assist? We stayed in Tampa last year at the hotel and it is super. I am presenting for TMEA and obviously must have a room for attendance. Thanks for any communications you might be able to assist with.

Krista, I am checking in so you will note my continued interest in staying at Westin arriving on Jan 7 and leaving on Jan 12. As noted you have helped me with the rate on the 7th and 11th. Hopefully there are cancellations on the dates between. Thanks for checking now and in the future. Fred Kersten

Hello Mr. Kersten,
Thank you for contacting Marriott Customer Care.
I am happy to assist with your inquiry regarding your upcoming stay at the Westin Tampa Waterside Marriott.
While it is certainly possible that a room might open up under the group due to a cancellation, it will only be changed over if you call to do so.
Therefor, we advise our guest to continue to call until the cut off date to check for cancellations.
At this time, I note that the group has the rate available for the same room type you currently have reserved for the January 7th and January 11th.
I encourage you to contact us at [protected] as soon as possible so that you may change the rate over, at the very least, for those two nights.
Please note that this is subject to change and availability.
If there is anything else I may be able to assist you with, I invite you to reply to this email.
Sincerely,
Krista Trujillo

I was told to communicate with you and indicate that if an opening occurred in the Florida Music Education Association room block rate at $199 a night that I should be considered and my present rate changed to this amount. The lady I talked to at (800) 937-8461 said to book for the room at the standard rate and this was a real possibility as people cancel out and you would assist in changing my rate. My Bonvoy # is [protected] and I have an account. My e-mail [protected]@fredkersten.com I stayed with you last year at the FMEA convention and it was a good experience. Please communicate with me and let me know what procedures I should follow. I am to present at FMEA this year and need housing. http://fredkersten.com/FMEA2020/FMEA2020.html Thank you for your assistance! Dr. Fred Kersten [protected]@fredkersten.com [protected]

Dear Fred Kersten
Thank you for your email once again.
I apologize for the confusion but I think that you may have misunderstood the emails that were sent by my colleague and me.
Your current reservation still remains from the 07 Jan to 12 Jan 2020 under the regular rates as the FMEA event rates are no longer available for any of the nights.
Dateline to cancel your current reservation for no charge is until 05 Jan 2020 (2 day[s] before arrival), you will only need to make payment upon check-out of the hotel.
Fred Kersten, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have further clarifications.

hotel reservations
I booked with Reservation Desk online and I should have paid more attention and read the reviews! I will never book with them again! When we got back from our trip, we had been charged by Reservation Desk and the hotel both and the charges from the hotel were cheaper! I called both places and of course the hotel is the one refunding our money, so it cost us all the way around. When I ask Reservation why that was, I got the runaround and no answer. I should have paid more attention!
reservation
trying to book st Julien hotel in boulder Co. I thought I was booking that hotel and it was NOT clear that your site had automatically switched to a different hotel, so when I thought I was booking St Julien, I booked the Boulderado.
I reached out to explain what had happened and a rude rep informed me that the reservation could not be canceled. Bogus
This site is not transparent and deceitful!
unauthorized charge on credit card
I booked a hotel thru what I thought was a reservation desk at the Hampton Inn Orlando. It was a third party reservation desk, . I called and cancelled my reservation the same day that it was made (May 3rd) for a stay beginning on June 24, 2019. I received an email indicating that I would receive a refund within 3-10 days.I have gotten nothing but the run around. I called my credit card company and they stated that they cannot do anything because the reservation desk will not release the funds. How is this even legal ? The charge is still showing up as a pending/approved charge on my charge card. I have called the reservation desk daily for the past 3 days to no avail. I have consulted a lawyer for assistance. I do not have $600 to give to a scammer. This company needs to be exposed for their wrongdoings. I would never recommend this company to my worst enemy...
They Just did the same to me July 2019.
hotel reservation
We booked our hotel through them—2 rooms 2 nights—$726. When we arrived at the hotel there were no reservations. They left us on hold for 2 hours, didn't find us another hotel, took our money, said they'll process a refund but it'll take up to 10 days and hung up on us. Horrible business. The supervisor said "this is our policy, any more questions? ".
falsely mislead when called on the phone.
Reservation Desk is a scam. I researched Ramada Inn on my phone to make a reservation and was wrongfully led to this site. When I called them they did not tell me they were not Ramada Inn and was not clear about how they got to their final cost. I accepted it not knowing what I had done. They ended up making a reservation in my name with Price Line and charged me $9.99. Beware of this company.
scam, unethical, deceiving
Came up as the top search when looking for a specific hotel - I thought I was booking directly through the hotel... until I needed to cancel my booking... very tricky and deceiving. And when I figured it out and had to deal with them?...
Horrible. I'm surprised they can ethically be in business. I booked two rooms and then canceled them on the same day - canceled within hours of booking. One room was booked through Reservation Desk; one was booked through the hotel itself. Reservation Desk claims they "follow the hotel cancellation policy"; however, Reservation Desk did NOT refund the room booked through them and the hotel DID refund the room booked through the hotel. It's clearly not true to say you "use the hotel cancellation policy" if you're not doing the same thing the hotel is.
When I called Reservation Desk to inquire, they told me "you didn't cancel within the required window". My reservation (made on 11/30/2018) came with a statement that I must cancel before 11/29/2018) to receive a refund - that's physically impossible! So it's basically their way of saying "non-refundable". And to top it off, they do NOT follow hotel policies as they claim - which is proven by the hotel itself having no issue with refunding me for the second room.
Customer service was of no help and didn't seem to care.
Very unethical and seems like a scam to me. Not worth the $10 I would have saved by booking through them vs. the hotel directly.
I will never use them again and caution others to do the same! BEWARE!
FRAUDULENT COMPANY. They go by many names. Reservation desk. Hotel desk services. I thought it was the Marriott. But even though my Credit card company says I am probably screwed they are fake. They lied to me about multiple things. One they were not the Marriott, they couldn’t book at that rate because it had not gone into affect, they booked at the wrong hotel and wouldn’t make it right and the Marriott has no listing for that reservation with my reservation number.
fraudulent business
DO NOT GET SCAMMED BY RESERVATIONDESK.COM. I simply inquired about a room on October 8, 2018 and was told that by providing a credit card number they'd hold the room for me and I could cancel at any time with no charge. The same day I called the hotel directly to find that the info reservation desk gave me about the room was not at all correct, specifically how many beds there were. We were attempting to book a family style suite. I was told by reservation desk that there were two bedrooms and a small living room. The room actually only had one bedroom and a small living room. I immediately called to cancel the reservation and demanded a refund telling them that the original person that I spoke to lied to me. They said ALL reservations are non refundable. Again I told them what the original person told me about canceling. The person told me they'd escalate it and send me an email. Of course I never received an email. I've since called them several times and every time I get another excuse. Each time I call I get a portion refunded after demanding and threatening them. At this point I have received a refund on my credit card for most of the initial charge. I'm still fighting with them on principle more so than the remaining $19. My credit card company is willing to dispute the remaining balance so I'm not giving up! I wish I could give reservation desk a negative 5 star rating.
Wish I would have read this post yesterday. I have been calling nonstop with no answer for the past 24 hours. What a joke.. I have already reported it to my credit card company as fraud.
I made two reservations at resevationsdesk.com at hotels for a trip we are taking in May and June of 2020. They charged me booking fees for both these reservations. This is the first time in my entire life of 77 years that I have been charged for booking a hotel room. I thought they were an honest company and hooked into them by mistake on the internet. Be cautious of them as they show up on the internet on most of the hotel booking sites. Take time and locate the hotel of your choice and call them directly and save the dishonest booking fees from resrvationsdesk.com
absolutely fraudulent!
cancellation charge is a scam
I was trying to book the Hotel Arts in Calgary and Reservation Desk.com came up on the hotel website so I thought it was the hotels on line booking. I entered my information but got an email that the reservation had a problem and didn't go through. I then went to hotels.com to book the hotel. A day before my trip I got an email from reservationdesk.com that I had a reservation. Luckily I called to cancel it but I got hit with a $12.99 cancellation fee. They are making money for doing nothing for me. Never use this site.
motel reservation scam
On October 21, 2018 I thought I was on the website for Qualiaty Inn as it showed a photo of the motel so I called the number listed and I told the person that answered that I needed a room for three nights, he took my information and came back an said that the reservation would be $87.20 a night which I agreed to. He then took my CC number and made my reservation. Upon completion of the reservation he gave me my reservation number. We hung up and then I immediately started to get text alerts of the charges on my credit card. One came in at $330.10, and three more for $12.99. I then called ReservationDesk.com at [protected] or [protected] and told him the charges were way too much. He said that the extra charges were a service charge fee which I was never told about. I told him I wanted to cancel the reservation, which he did, but said that the charges on my CC could not be cancelled. I then called my CC company (Visa) and told them the story and the process to dispute the charges so they're in the process but I may have to wait a couple of weeks to find out if I will get my money back. I wish I'd have paid attention to the URL, and made sure it's the correct one for the motel, which I didn't do. Beware of companies like this one.
I also called the Quality Inn to check on my reservation, and they never had a record of it.
hotel booking
I was trying to book the Embassy Suites St. Louis - Downtown on line. I called what I thought was the phone number for the hotel. I was told that that their were no more rooms available at the convention rate of around $220.00. I told the rep that I had AAA. He said the AAA rate was $255.00 and I just needed to show them my card when I arrived at the hotel. When I received the email receipt it was for $303.00 per night with no other fees listed. The total amount for 5 nights was $1, 518.00. I assumed this was either the room total with added taxes and fees or I needed to show my AAA card at the hotel desk to get the cheaper rate. When I arrived at the hotel I showed them my AAA card. They said I was prepaid through "travel web" and could not give me the AAA rate. The also quoted the convention rate (which was no longer available) as being $198.00 and not $220.00 as I had been told on the phone. At the end of my stay I received my receipt from the hotel. The final bill was $1, 877.64 and included no incidental charges.
hotel reservations
My brother was trying to make a hotel reservation for my Nephews wedding and mistakenly called Reservation Counter after a mobile ad popped up on the Cambria website. He repeatedly told them on the phone that he was trying to book a room in the WEDDING BLOCK. Rather than explain to my brother that Reservation Counter does not have access to wedding block rates and that he should call the hotel directly, they rushed him through the booking process, collected his payment info and booked him with a NON REFUNDABLE room rate. The hotel itself was happy to cancel the reservation, but of course Reservation Counter had already charged her credit card and would not issue a refund due to 'company policy.' I emailed and spoke with multiple people customer care department who refused to help and did absolutely nothing. They are clearly ripping off people.
If I can't get my brother a FULL refund on the .. at the very least Reservation Counter can honor the WEDDING BLOCK rate of $109/night + taxes and fees.
refused to refund
Refused to refund.
Reservation-Desk.com is a scam booking site, do not fall for it. Reservation Desk's phone number was somehow in my Google search for the hotel I was looking to stay at. There was no indication of this being RD's number as the hotel website listed Reservation Desk phone instead of their own. I went directly to the site for the hotel I wanted to stay at, called to make the reservation and was moved to the "reservation desk". The room for four nights was listed at $985.42. Then I got an email from reservationdesk.com stating I booked through them. I called many times to cancel and got the run a round. When they finally did it they penalized me $752.59.
This company is phishing online for business and scamming people into believing they are the hotel itself through the nature of their voicemail system. This is FRAUD. I don't know how the U.S. Government let this happen. Please help us.
reservations made for a conference...24th sept
Less than 24 hours ago I tried to obtain a reservation at the Marriot in Macon, GA. The website reservationdesk.com said there was no availability for those dates. Another hotel then popped up as a suggestion from reservationdesk.com
and I made the reservation for the Econo Lodge on Riverside Drive in Macon, Ga. ( as I thought they were full) The next day my coworkers told me they had all made reservations at the Marriott. I called the Marriott and there were rooms available. I made reservations for the Marriott. Then, I went to cancel the Econo Lodge reservation only to be told it can't be done. I would be charged the $69.76 anyway. I spent 2 hours trying to get this resolved. Eventually, I was told to call the hotel directly to get the manager's approval. I did that and I was disconnected twice...before saying a word. Eventually, someone answered and told me the manager is out and they had already been made aware of the situation. They then proceeded to tell me, " He will not do that" in reference to the call they received earlier about the reservation. So, I called reservationdesk.com back to try and get this resolved. waited another 10 min, asked to speak to a manager... Waited longer only to hear the same lack of customer service I received the first time. I have no recourse except for disputing the charges when I see them. Again, this is in a period of time less than 24 hours. I'm stuck with a reservation that I wouldn't have made if I had not been misled in the first place. Nice job... Thanks
questionable biz practice.
Wow, my heading is spinning on this one! Totally blindsided by this biz!
Made reservation with these folks per phone. While I had rep on phone, I placed her on hold to read their confirmation email sent to me' while; I still had her on the phone, I spotted a $12.99 reservation service fee added into the cost of the nightly hotel cost.
I immediately asked the rep what is this charge, and said I wasn't paying this cost. It was then I realized that I wasn't talking to the hotel directly; instead, I was talking to a third party who did not identify themselves as such who had done some kind of internet ploy that pulled me off of the Holiday Express website.
The rep told me, mind you while I still am on the phone with her from calling to make the reservation, that I couldn't cancel the reservation, although I still had the rep on the phone and had not concluded my initial telephone call.
Next, I called back in seconds trying to cancel the reservation again with a new rep, and was told I must pay one night plus fees because I didn't cancel before 8/26/18 midnight.
Note: I didn't make reservation until 8/28/18 noon. Totally baffled by this since i can't see the relationship with 8/26.
I called back on 8/29/18 asking to speak with a supervisor hoping someone had some wisdom, and I reminded the supervisor what their own cancellation policy was and which was written in my original email that says the one night penalty and fees only applies if the cancellation is done after 8/28/18 after 4 pm. Please remember I tried to cancel immediately twice approximately before 12.30 pm on 8/28/18.
The Supervisor becomes extremely aggressive and tells me that the policy doesn't matter because they got me on a recording telling them I agree to their crazy terms. I tried to speak calmly to this man, but he kept telling me that he had recorded me! I told supervisor I wanted to resolve the matter and was willing to eat one night but I wanted a refund of the other night. The supervisor never stop his threats that we got you on tape, and I just concluded the call saying I would take my issue up with my credit card and dispute it with Chase.
I don't know how these folks intercepted my phone call because I dialed Holiday Inn Express off the internet. Some kind of crazy stuff going on here with this business . Do not give them your credit card or banking information! If my experience can save someone else from getting involved with these people than the experience is worth it!
