Service at Beckley WV store
We visited the Beckley WV store today and was going to purchase $500 or more in there today to leave the carts sit at the customer service desk. The cashier was just plain stupid I had a cart my mother had a mobile cart and they tried to make her go to another line first of all that isn’t right secondly we was together and I was purchasing part of the items and my Dad was purchasing the rest and I told her over 3 times I was paying for certain items. For her to roll her eyes at me and make a smart comment if I was a manger at that store she would have been fired on the spot! Then I had to go to customer service cause they still have not gotten my tax exempt figured out even though I have been approved and I have talked to them numerous times over this. And the little customer service lady got smart as well so I asked for a manager and he was no help at all and he said o I will talk to her about that and the customer service lady was over there running her mouth and shaking her head because I was tryin to get my tax exempt stuff taken care of and so we left the carts there and went elsewhere. My father and I all have said we would not shop at a place like that again. And we was visited that store monthly and spent thousands of dollars not now I will tell all my family and friends to shop elsewhere after this. I absolutely hate the way they handled this situation and that was one of my favorite stores to visit. I never would pass up the opportunity to go if I was in town or we made special trip there like we did today.
Monticello Indiana store
I was buying items at your store on Saturday February 4th around 5:30pm. As we wore checking out an employee that is was cool. To repeat the work ([censored]) over and over. Our cashier called to them over the radio language. That they wore being inappropriate and customers could hear them. They started the repeat the word over and over louder. She had to turn her radio down because we had kids with us so. She informed us they didn’t have a manager to report to.
Desired outcome: It’s sad to see this store go through so many stores managers. It’s hard to make employees accountable for their actions and run a strong store with no management.

I have purchased many of rk jeans and had some rip out in the back, I was on the site just looking and came around to find that these jeans are warranteed against this and to return for swap out. So on 12-22-22 at 12:57 store 92, ticket 96137 cashier 97748, my name Donald Sherburn. I took a pair in that I just recently purchased and it was ripped from rear pocket down outside about 5 inches. The lady said their Corporate is cracking down on them for exchanging torn jeans and they are not honoring it anymore, just this once they will.

Rural King UTV Performance 250
I live in Ocala, FL and was interested in purchasing a UTV 250. The Ocala store was out of stock and couldn't tell me when one would be arriving, and I couldn't prepay. I shopped around and found one at the Spring Hill RK location, but it was damaged and would need work. I'm a mechanic so for the right price I could do the work myself.
It needed a hood, an ignition switch, a gas cap and a winch remote kit. The manager there said he could sell me the unit for $4,999. with a 4 yr warranty included and he would send me the parts. So, I agreed and made the purchase on 6/9/22 and picked it up.
The only part I have received to date (9/28/22) was a gas cap, which turned out to be the wrong one. I purchased all the parts it needed in June because I needed to use the vehicle.
Once I purchased the UTV I tried MANY times to contact the Manager I made the deal with and received NO response.
I am very unhappy with the way I was treated and feel I was lied to just so they could unload a damaged UTV.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response and would like to be compensated for the parts that I bought that were supposed to be in the deal - around $100.
Chainsaw
I took my chainsaw to Rural Kinga few months ago for the first time. He keeps it for a few months. He told me that the spring was broke in the pull starter. Was not when i gave it to him. (I know for a fact, because I tried to start it many times before I took it to Him, So I chalked it for a loss and brought another one and put it on. Still would not start so a few weeks ago I took it back to him. he told me he would work on it. So, I went to Rural King today July 27 to check on it. He told me he could not work on it because it was missing the exhaust. I Know darn well if the exhaust was missing i would know about it before i took it. You need to check the shop cameras to see what happened to it. Work order number is D6965612. My personal thinking someone there took parts off. But that my personal thought. not accusing anyone. But it surely got off after I took it to Rural King in Wytheville Virginia. now i am out of a 450.oo chain saw. Hope you can help with this. Thanks Keith. [protected]@ yahoo.com. Ordered stuff online, a few toys and, waited and waited only to find out not available. Check the site and some stores still show available on these particular items while others currently show limited quantities. Point is, I have not been a customer for long and and it ends here. Customer service is useless by the way via chat, forget the phone nobody responds ever! I wanted to be a permanent customer but only if I could get the items you show you have, stills says you have. What a farce you guys are.
RK19 don't trust the warrenty
May 4th or about then, my pto in the tractor jumped and broke its socket. Why'll I was tilling garden space in already plowed space. I thought I'd hit something and said so, turns out there was nothing there to hit. Even though RK turned me down on warranty repairs, NO ONE would cover hitting a rock and brake a pto. I've tried many times to contact the tractor guys to inform them I replowed the area and found nothing in the grown to have caused this. NO REPLY. Now I go to pick up my RK19 they can't get it to start, ran fine when I took it there, but they promise to fix that and bring it to me. 3wks it took them. Then I find that when they drained the fluid to take pictures of the damage, there never put any back, so they loaded it on the trailer dry and unloaded it dry. and to top it off I had to charge the battery to crank it so it could be unloaded. Oh and the price I was given to fix it- 3650.00 plus 19-hour labor about half the price of the tractor. Guess that's why they didn't want to fix it.

My husband is an employee that was recently sent to training in Alabama and we live in Tennessee. He was told to keep his receipts for the trip and track the mileage for the trip since he use our own vehicle. He asked about the reimbursement of the trip that I totaled up to an amount of almost $600.00 and was told that he was not going to get it. This manager has called my husband names that I will not repeat about him having to be home sick from being told to stay out in the parking lot with temperatures getting over 95 degrees for 8 hours at a time. My husband is a military veteran of the United States Coast Guard and Army National Guard and is use to hard work and situations and for him to be treated is such a disrespectful and inhumane way is unsatisfactory. This manager at this location is rude, disrespectful to all of his workers and associates. There are people quitting every day over the way that they are treated. He is misleading in his interviews and when they get in there he changes everything and says "get use to it'. I my self am an assistant manager at another company and know for fact that this is no way to treat those that work under you.
Desired outcome: I would like to see him and his store investigated for the sake and safety of the remaining employees.And for my husbands money to be returned for the trip that he was sent on.

On Thursday afternoon, June 16, 2022, my husband and I drove from Hopkinsville, Ky to Madisonville, Ky to buy puppy treats for my four six-month old mastiff puppies. In the past I have bought Wholesomes mini puppy treats from your store and was wanting to do so again. However, when I checked your on-line store the only treats I could find was for a 15 pound box of Friends medium and large treats. Although I really like the mini treats for my puppies my husband and I decided to drive 40 minutes and purchase the fifteen pound box of Friends medium dog treats for $14.99.
When i was looking for the dog treats I was unable to find the Friends fifteen pound box, but i did find three twenty-pound boxes of Wholesomes mini puppy treats. There was no price on the box., so I took a box to the service desk. I was told this item was not in the store system. I again looked up your on-line store and showed the ladies at the desk the Friends dog treat price. They discussed the situation and gave me a price of $10.00 for the box of treats.
The store manager, Jay Raymond, came over and began telling me the boxes of twenty-pound Wholesomes mini puppy treats were priced at $99.00 each. He then proceeded to tell me the treats were not sold in the twenty pound box but placed in a bin and sold by the pound. I reminded him they were on the shelve in the middle of the store, with prices on one of the boxes. He also informed me that this particular dog treat was never sold by the twenty-pound box, I disagreed with him and pulled up Walmart's web site and showed him they were sold by the twenty pound box but their price was $32.00. He told me I needed to order from Walmart, even through it would be almost a week before it would be delivered.
As Iwas leaving I asked the lady at the service desk if they still honored competitor's prices? One young girl, who was at a register walked over to me and informed me (very rudely, I might add) that she had been working at this store for over a year and they had never matched a competitor's price. I left the store, and when I got in my truck I did a search on my phone and found that Rulal King does match prices, and furthermore was told to have a product price matched at your stores one needed to have the web page where the lower price is being matched.
I took my phone back into the store and was requesting a price match for the dog treats. I was then told by another woman that they only match a price within a thirty mile radius. When I showed her the information on my phone she repeated the same statement about thirty miles several more times.
The lady at the service desk called for a manager to help me. When I told the assistant manager I would like to purchase the boxes of Wholesomes mini puppy treats at the Walmart price of $32.00 she told me according to the store manager, Jay Raymond, they were not for sale.
Sir, I was not rude, hateful, crude or disrespectful to any of your employees. I was at your store trying to buy puppy treats for my puppies. When the items I wanted to buy did not have a price I took the item to the service desk. I even told the ladies that $10. 00 was not the price but not knowing the exact price I showed them the on-line Friends price of $14.99.
I am a regular customer to this store. Not only was I lied to, by several of your employees, I was made to feel embarrassed and inapt, and I left your store without the doggie treats that I drove so far to get.

Two times now I’ve gone to the service counter over the last two weeks to purchase rock top soil and other corral products. First time I was pushed off to someone else because the guy and girl at the counter didn’t want to help load. The last time I was told I had to wait in line at the registers because they only did returns. I’ve purchased many things from that counter so I don’t understand the problem. Again I had to go to Lowe’s to get service. Please fix I do love the store.

Complaint about a man in Gainesville Florida store
While shopping at the Gainesville Florida store yesterday, 4/28/2022, I encountered a man with a name tag that said Mike, maybe a manager, not sure. The interaction between he and the employees was not pleasant. The way he spoke to the employees was appalling, inconsiderate, and completely not necessary. I will think twice before visiting that store again.
Desired outcome: He needs to learn manners and treat people the way he would like to be treated.

Supervisor at Bristol va location
I witnessed an employee who always does an outstanding job helping me to my vehicle get harassed by there supervisor. She was making fun of the way this young man talked stating it sounded like gibberish every time he spoke and he needed to learn how to talk and laughing with other co workers.
This young man always puts a smile on my face and does not need to be treated this way.
I went over and asked her for her name because I had to let someone know how awful she was treating this young man .
She just pointed to her name badge when I asked her name which was very rude.
Her name is Elizabeth at the Bristol Va location .
She should be fired for the way she was treating this young man very unacceptable for a supervisor.
Desired outcome: Elizabeth does not need to be a supervisor very rude and unprofessional she needs to be fired for the way she was treating this young man and this was not the first incident that I’ve seen while shopping there.
Charles Daley AR-12S Firearm
Nearly a year later & I still don't have gun that will fire reliably. The firearm is in to Chiappa Firearms for the third time with the same issue.
The gun simply does not reload reliably. I have two shotguns that take the same ProMag magazine. Both purchased from RK. The other gun cycles fine with all magazines (5 total) including the original magazine sent with the AR-12S that has the jamming issue.
The AR-12S from Chiappa causes drag marks on the lips of the magazine. There is obvious interference due to a problem with the gun NOT the magazine.
Chiappa sends the gun back:
5/10/21 " Reshaped locking block. tested with Remington 2 3/4" no 8"
6/15/21 "replaced and fit locking block. tested with Remington 2 3/4" #8 and Federal 2 3/4" #8
Family issues with family members death prevented me from testing until recently.
The gun still jams repeatedly and is totally unreliable. I have included an explanation to this effect with the most recent return to Chiappa.

While looking for a method for keeping biting insect off my dogs I ran across this repellent Ultra Shield natural that also had a coupon with it for $2 off squalling 10%. In my haste at the counter the coupon was not redeemed so I kept it in my wallet for the next time. 2 weeks later I had gone in to purchase a dog collar I needed for my blood hound. I asked the lady if I could redeem this coupon now as it wasn't expired and was accompanying the receipt. The lady consulted with the front end manager and the sh-t hit the fan. The manager looked at me and simply said "no". I had spent $160 there earlier that day and quite a spot more prior. The Crystal River store has treated me badly twice now and I'm not a glutton for punishment. I'm putting up cattle fencing on our acreage and have a number of large projects where not one item needed will be purchased at Rural King.
Jeans that are $19.99 they charged me $24.99
We shop here all the time and this is where I buy my jeans at $19.99 a pair when they have my size . Well today October 16th 2021 we went to our local store number 113 2876 Greensboro Rd Martinsville Va 24112 and they just happen to have 3 pair so we grabbed them. It wasn't until we got home and I went to take the tags off I seen someone had taken a black sharpie and marked out the $19.99 and put tag of 24.99 on them. This is not right to mark out an original tag with a sharpie and put a stick on tag in its place.
Desired outcome: To be charged the original $19.99 a pair not $24.99

Rural King of Jasper Indiana has gone downhill. Customer service is a joke.
I buy small quantities (100-300 pounds) of chicken feed and other things at least once a month, usually twice a month.
Between visits, I am assuming that there was a change in the feed area. It has been inside the store for ever.
I am disabled, elderly and on oxygen.
I am keenly aware of total disregard for elderly nowadays. Seems the general idea is elderly/disabled = dismissed.
I visited the Jasper Indiana store, used electric wheelchair as usual.
Shopped for the things I could do by myself. Got to checkout, informed the cashier of the feed I needed, paid for purchases. Was handed a reciept and the normal "load out" ticket. Usually, the cashier gets on radio and orders the feed to be brought to the front.
This time the young, disrespectful cashier handed me the loadout ticket, pointed out the front door and said... go out there to be loaded.
It was 105 degree heat index, I am on oxygen. I asked again, she pointed out the doors and said... go out there.
I went back outside, no one showed up with the feed. I went back in, requested a refund and was told in a snotty tine.. it will be 30 minutes for a refund.
I requested to speak with the manager and he did resolve the problem. What the cashier had not said was, the Feed has been moved to the outside of the building and you need to turn to your left and walk down there.
Ok, fast forward to yesterday.
I decided to place my order online, hoping it would make it easier and I wouldn't have to deal with as much grief. So I placed my order, paid for it and was told that I would be emailed when it was ready.
This is a small store. It is not like they are overrun with online orders. I finally called this evening because I'm leaving the Feed by tomorrow. I was put on hold forever. When they finally came back the lady asked me exactly what did I order. She did not ask for my order number. So I told her what all I had ordered and she said in a snotty tone, we will get this order together and it will be ready in 30 minutes. I live 35 miles from there. I told her it would be in the morning before I can get there.
She didn't act very happy. I asked her do you need my order number? She said no I have your order number. Oddly she hadn't even asked for my name so evidently they don't have a lot of orders if she could pinpoint who I was by me telling her what I ordered. This is the last time I will deal with Jasper. I live closer to PRINCETON Indiana and will start going there. And if they don't do it I will start going to the Orscheln stores.
Desired outcome: To be treated as a human
Last year I decided to take a short cut and purchase young vegetable plants in stead of using seed. I purchased 60.00 dollars of plants that died no more than 2 weeks later. I didn't go back and ask for a refund since it is 30 miles from our home. This year I thought I would try purchasing the same type of plants, just not as much as last year. Again, each plant died within 2 weeks of purchase. This time I checked warranty information on line, which indicates a 30 day refund upon providing the receipt of the original purchase. I called to confirm. After being transfered to two separate employees, I was told I would have to bring the dead plants and they would replace them. They indicated there would be no refund for my purchase. Let's understand what they wanted just to replace the dead vegetable plants with no refund. I would need to go out in my garden dig up the 10 bell pepper plants, dig up the other tomato plants placed in pots and drive 30 miles to exchange them and take a third chance planting these again. I opted to post this comment instead. Hopefully, this might save someone else's money during a time that everything is priced so high.
Fool me once shame on you, fool twice shame on me, three times, I would be more than a fool.

Selling of baby rabbits to store, no payment.
June-July or August 2020 I took 5 rabbits to St. Clairsville store to sell. They accepted them. I signed paper for them and did not get a receipt. Check was to be sent to me. I am not sure I received the check. I sold the rabbits for $6.99 each. Is there a way you can trace such a check, and did I receive it and cashed it?
