Ryobi 18V P102 battery faulty after one use
So we bought a ryobi drill with two batteries Model #P102. we used the batteries until completely no more charge left in them. Several months later maybe a year finally bought a charger and we put them on the charger and they are presumed as faulty. The charger is flashing red and green. We’ve only used these batteries once. Paid a good price for them as well, we shoukd be able to charge them and use again. it seems like there is a problem with this product I should be able to get my money back.
Desired outcome: Money back / refund / or new battery exchange
Ryobi riding lawn mower
I have been going through a very frustrating situation with Home Depot/Ryobi for about 2 years now. I am at the point where I am contacting different social media accounts who review tools and seeing if they want to shed some light on my issue. While under the original Ryobi Manufacturer’s warranty, my Ryobi Electric riding lawn mower blades stopped spinning. After speaking to Ryobi on the phone, they told me to take it to my local home depot. I did take it there and they refused to take it. I had to take the mower there a total of 3 times and had to have a ryobi representative on the phone just to get them to take the mower. It was then sent off to a 3rd party repair shop to fix the blade issue. It took over 3 months to come back. When it arrived, there was oil on the back of the mower, pooled inside the battery tray, and all over the batteries. Keep in mind this is an electric riding mower so there is no oil involved. Also, the thick back plate where a trailer can attach to was bent downwards and all the paint was stripped off of it. On top of that, the mower was about 50% slower than previously and would barely go up a hill. I took it back to home depot the same day to show them all of the issues. A manager showed me pictures of the trailer and the transporting company decided to pile loads of heavy items on top of the mower to get everything to fit inside 1 trailer. The oil was from another tool that was repaired that broke during transport and was sitting on top of my mower. They sent the mower back to the shop. It took another 3-4 months to get it back, of course. Once it came back, the oil was still there. It wasn’t even wiped off. The back piece was still bent. The speed was the same. My question was…did they even touch it? This time one of the front wheels came off the mower while it was being moved outside by one of the home depot employees. So, maybe more damage was done from the previous trip to the shop. Anyways home depot sent it back to the shop. This is it’s third visit to the same shop.
Desired outcome: Replacement of mower. It was deemed unrepairable by home depot after being sent to the shop 4 times without being fixed.
10 inch slider saw with stand
I received the slider, saw in a box and the stand in a box upon putting the stand together. It’s missing one carriage, bolt and nut. I called Ryobi the person that I contacted ask what model number what part number the stand was I gave him an information and I needed the bolt that goes to hold a little metal part that goes onto the round pipe, looking object on the end. to give you the wood length for the cut so that’s a bolt and the special nut need. The person said it would show up in about 10 days. That had been 22 days ago nothing. Trying to fill out the survey wouldn’t give me wouldn’t take it.
Desired outcome: I want the bolt and nut I paid for it. I waited for it I want it.
Ryobi P2803 electric garden sprayer
I am a homeowner who purchased a Ryobi P2803 electric garden sprayer less than one year ago.
After using the sprayer for about two months, the on/off plunger switch (under the handle) began to constantly get jammed.
Ryobi will not replace the unit and expects me to drive half an hour to a service center to have them look at it and see if they can repair it. I was told by the service center that the repair could take several months, depending on the part. This is not what I paid for.
I will purchase another sprayer from a more reputable company and deposit my Ryobi in the trash.
My recommendation is DO NOT BY RYOBI TOOLS!
Desired outcome: I will purchase another sprayer from a more reputable company and deposit my Ryobi in the trash.
New drills and reciprocating saws
I am a long time ryobi tool user and own many tools from the beginning of your tool roll out. Recently i've had two reciprocating saws and two drills overheat and start melting. This is with newer purchased tools. I am so disappointed your company is going for less product more money, cooperate greed policy. As I expect this complaint will fall on deaf ears.
I own so many of your tools and battery's that I didn't want to switch to another brand. Now as a contractor I am not only considering it I will be advocating a switch to other builders.
Desired outcome: rework your tools to at least function normally for medium duty work.
Ryobi18 Volt Super Charger Still under Warranty
I went thru the Warranty contact Ryobi site. Wife purchased this and 2 hi-cap batteries for Christmas 12/14/19 Listed all info, on 2nd email from them asking for the same information, that was posted on the site. I feel stupid purchasing all the Ryobi products I have, believing that they would stand behind the product if it failed, been lucky and this is one of the first that has caused me a problem.
Desired outcome: Want them to replace the broken item, prefer they just buy back the 7 tools 8 batteries. And I'll just go buy there competitors tools that I use.
Ryobi Charger, drill and Saw
The charger didn’t work at all when I had bought it (gift for Father’s Day ) but since it wasn’t tried right away they wouldn’t return it because it was apast 30 days, the drill was used once and started smoking we shut off right away but it would t turn back on after , exact same thing happened with the saw after the second use it started smoking and that was it wouldn’t work Home Depot wasn’t any help and couldn’t find a way to get the issues dealt with won’t be buying anymore Ryobi after this. Once is one thing but 3 new items kicking the bucket like that and one not working from the start that’s not a coincidence that’s bad workmanship the brand is garbage
Desired outcome: I think I deserve a refund at the very least the tools replaced
Seems like a common problem with ryobi chargers.i am on my second charger in 4 yesrs.i am getting rid of my ryobi products and switching to Ridged ! Ridged gives a life time warranty on all there products.
Staff
I have tried to order 4 items this morning by telephone your on line department. Your staff have been very unhelpful, abrupt and very rude, totally telling me that I am a liar.
Therefore you have lost well over £100 worth of sales. I have previously ordered over the phone with such helpful friendly service and items have arrived without any problems.
Your 2nd member of staff also lied by telling me he was stood behind your member of staff whilst I was getting a load of rubbish fed to me. This was obviously not the case or I wouldn’t have left on hold for ages whilst he tried to find him.
Absolutely furious.
Desired outcome: Return call an apology and my items ordered.O7840022451
Back pack blower lt20172n110205
I’m in Michigan…. I don’t understand why I can’t receive a return label so you can inspect or replace my back pack blower is malfunctioning and is covered by the 3yr limited warranty! I have attached my receipt from Home Depot. To mail it it UPS would cost me $320, this is significantly more than how much I paid for the product.

We have had this leaf blower for 2 full summers now. I use it all the time. 2 days ago, when blowing the leaves off of our deck, I had the strap around my shoulder as I should, the leaf blower sucked in its own strap provided by the company, which is attached to the leaf blower, causing it to tighten around my chest so tightly until the connectors that hold the strap broke when the strap was sucked up into the engine. Think about how much pressure I felt at that moment. It tightened up around me that hard until the plastic connectors broke off. When the strap let loose the blower flew up and slapped against my right side of my body and my arm and hand. I have multiple bruises on my right arm from top to bottom and a very swollen finger as well as strap marking around my front and back torso. This could have been so much worse than it was. I am hurting quite badly last night and today, I can hardly walk as when it tightened against my body as it sucked in the attached strap it twisted my chest and lower torso. My muscles from my shoulder down to my tailbone are so sore and stiff and left arm and hand are bruised and sore. This was extremely scary; this could be an easy fix by putting a small air screen so it could prevent sucking in the strap or any other clothing.
Desired outcome: I would like a new leaf blower with some kind of a guard or smaller screen to prevent this from happening again or a full refund as well as compensation for chiropractic care & the messages to help loosen up the lower back muscles.
Leaf blower
I mean I'm complaining but I not don't want to complain but I moved out in 98 I think and I went to buy power tools and my dad said get black and decker I think they were out I don't remember so I bought a ryobi drill and I've only bought ryobi since but I needed a new set so I bought the value pack or whatever its called and my trusted brand works for like 5 minutes and dies and I know you might be thinking battery but I have two witch makes me wonder if I somehow got a bad batch or is it that now that ryobi is the leader in tools that maybe that the quality is lower?
Desired outcome: No real desired outcome except I just don't want to use another brand or worse buy another tool and getting the same result, I can't trim my garden and there ain't no game on so I figured that I would just ask
Hedge sweep trimmer
Tried calling service department. The recording told me that I needed to chat online. I have tried to start a chat several times recently but got the message it was unavailable. It doesn't seem like your customer support department is very good. I need someone to contact me so I can get the information I need.
I just tried the 3 service centers in my area. Those numbers are disconnected. When I tried to get a parts list, it took me to a page error. This is unacceptable.
Desired outcome: I would like a callback to discuss my problems. I sent a text message that was never answered.
GD200
Plastic trolly broke. $2 part yet discontinued. I’ve look everywhere online. So I paid $200 for this garage door opener and now have to buy another one. I’ll never by a ryobi product again. When I called, their response was “buy another one” no thanks. The labor to put it up takes time.

Desired outcome: Replace trolly, send me a new one
2 batteries for the 40 Volt lawn mower (21 in)
The operator's manual saying those batteries in normal use, will last over an hour each. In fact, it only lasted only 30 minutes. I have to recharge these batteries couple times to finish cutting my 1/2 A lawn.
Ryobi Technical Dept UK
Considering the number of Ryobi tools which are sold in the UK, why do you not have a Technical Dept that can deal properly with technical issues. They inform me that they are simply an admin department and cannot deal with practical issues. There standard answer is to return to seller and get a refund or replacement.
My last issue is with the Ryobi Vac.blower. The blowing function does not work because the tool you place on the air exit from the tool does not fit flush with the main body of the tool.Air leaks out at the join. It is clearly a design or tooling problem.
The technical dept do not even seem to have an example of each Ryobi tool so they can replicate the problem.
Desired outcome: Confirmation that it is faulty or I am using it incorrectly
ONE+ 18V Lithium-Ion Cordless EVERCHARGE Hand Vacuum Kit with 1.3 Ah Compact Battery and Wall Adaptor/Charger
Bought this hand vac. at Home Depot for Christmas 2021, Order Number: WP16537109, it was only used 3 times, it was winter.
Worked great for the first 3 times we used it, now the battery just keeps flashing green and will not charged. I bought it Oct. 28th for my old man for Christmas, he used it like 3 times to vacuum his new truck. Now it is no longer useable.
Some Christmas present it turned out to be.
I was buying all the ONE+ tools to replace his, but if the batteries are not any good I will have to rethink my choice in brand.
Desired outcome: Replacement battery
Ryobi
We as a company has about 50 or so different ryobi tools. Over the past year we spend about 300000 on tools ryobi. However in the past year ryobi has proven to us that they are not a reliable brand to use.
We have taken several of our broken ryobi tools to ryobi nelspruit. Every time we get a acount from them for tools no older then 4 to 8 months.
We would not recomend ryobi to anyone. A guarantee meens nothing to them, yet they display this on all there boxes.
Shame on u ryobi.
We will now start a channel where we prove to the world what low budget crap u sell.
Desired outcome: You deside, as we are fed up with your feedback.
Ryobi 70 pcs set
I have bought several of these in the past years, and I have always liked your tips/bits. However, the 2nd and 3rd to last kits I bought were awful. I grabbed the new sets, because I was going to be in the middle of nowhere, and I wanted to make sure that I had everything I needed. Problem is, it was the only bit/tips I brought, and in about 10 minutes, I went through all the #2 bits. I had to drive 2 1/2 hours to buy more bit/tips and screws. I actually thought it was a problem with the screws, so I bought a plethora of different brands of screws and bits . This kit worked like the ones in the past. When I got home my 85 year old father insisted, we find out if the problem was with bit/tips or the screws. He is a brilliant man, and he believes, life is a science project. The problem was bit/tips (which is it?). I am sad to say, there was more play in the two kits, than in the newest kit, so they spun out in a matter of seconds. We used calipers, visual, and some type of a wad test.
If you would like pictures I will gladly send them to you. I chucked the first two, but I have the rest. I wish I could attach below, but the only way I know how to attach a picture is if I use my phone. [protected]@yahoo.com
I hope this is understandable.

Battery tool kit
I bought a tool kit 4 months ago in Florida just to do work on moms house. No heavy construction work being a union carpenter for over 30 years I thought these tools would be good for puttering around since all my tools were in Massachusetts.I can't believe the two batteries that came with the kit both died. I have a marital kit that I've had for 11 years and just had to change one of the batteries. What's with that kind of quality, now that I have the tools I'm FORCED to by new batteries that's [censored]
Desired outcome: I want 2 new batteries that will last longer than 4months of minor use!
10 inch Benchtop Drill Press
