Destroyed my car
They made a mess of my car and it was leaking like a sieve they broke the cowl across the bottom of the window and the side post on the drivers side of the car and neither ALLSTATE who recommended safelite nor safelite will take responsibility! Had the rear window replaced on my 2004 Envoy on 7/22/2022 at my home with a service charge of $49.99, The next morning we noticed two screws missing and one loose on the mounting bracket, I called Safelite in Walker,La and was told to bring it in for repairs. I did this and the tech was able to reattach the bracket at the shop. The next thing we noticed was the window was crooked because the widow manufacturer glued it to the brackets unevenly, now the window rattles at every bump in the road.
Desired outcome: replace widow with one that is correctly mounted to the brackets and refund the charge for coming to my home
Broke camera sensor
They broke the camera sensor and told me to go to the dealer to fix it. They told me warranty would cover it and now they've gone AWOL. They are non responsive to emails or calls.
They first sent an agent to my house to replace the glass. The rep told me that he couldn't calibrate it. I went to the store to fix it and they couldn't either. The manager told me to go to the dealership and that's when I found out they bring the camera housing.
Didn’t bring rubber seal
Appointment was easy to make. Changed our schedule. Woman arrived on time. Had windshield but no rubber seal to hold it in place. Waste of half a day, stupid mistake you have ONE job replace windshields for goodness sakes bring the parts. Now we waste half another day waiting for them. Not a good experience. DID THEY OFFER TO DO IT FIRST THING IN THE MORNNG nope
Desired outcome: Have someone bring the part right away or go get it and come right back

My Safelite Autoglass windshield was warranty repaired/replaced yesterday, Saturday, 13 July 2022 at the 3201 Rosedale Avenue Richmond, Virginia.
The staff at the store were courtesy and responsive.
My repair was completed and I picked my vehicle up at 4:45pm. Just after leaving, I was driving down the highway and heard a rattling noise coming from the under the hood, near the bottom of the windshield. I pulled over into the emergency lane to check it.
It appears the passenger side of the windshield frame was not properly reattached, it is loose and rattling- and what appears to be a small tubing hose that connects to my windshield wipers fluid
is also loose and rattling. I checked my windshield wipers and they work, but the sprayer does not spray the fluid, which I expect is because the tubing hose was not re-connected.
I have tried to call the store, [protected] to discuss, or to leave a message. The number rings - and then stops. There is no opportunity to leave a message.
I went to your website and found this form to submit the problem. I have also attached pictures below

I filed a claim with my insurer, Farmers, for windshield replacement on 2015 Toyota Highlander. On July 28, 2022, I received email notice of appointment with local Safelite in Hattiesburg, MS for August 9, 2022 (today). I then received messages from Safelite to have car there before 9:30 AM. I actually took car there yesterday afternoon so they would have it first thing this morning. I received a call this morning from Jason, local Safelite Tech. He said my windshield will not be there until August 15th. This is unacceptable, 1) especially considering all the Safelite TV commercials boasting of the wonderful service, 2) considering Safelite has had 13 days to get a windshield to this local shop!
Someone is not doing their job in this process and the result is that Safelite is not nearly as professional as advertised on TV.
Very unacceptable and I will be filing a complaint with Farmers Insurance. I could have already gotten a windshield installed at two other local shops and WELL within the past 13 days!

Desired outcome: I should be given a $100.00 discount off my $400 deductible. You had 13 days to get a windshield delivered and you failed, costing me valuable gas and inconvenience.
Windshield replacement they didn’t put my inspection sticker on
August 6th safelite called reschedule my appointment for later in the day my glass arrived damaged so they came in the afternoon, but they did not put my inspection sticker back on! And they were closed before I noticed! They have no way to contact them with this issue until the next business day. The online website only allows you to reschedule warranty issues! This is a driving legally issue which I could get pulled over and my car towed or a fine!
Desired outcome: Immediately replace my inspection sticker and discount me 70 % of the bill for the liability issue they have caused

I called the 800 number to schedule an appointment in Williston Vermont on a Friday. Got a confirmation on Sunday and the appointment was in NY instead of Vt. Called Monday to reschedule and all the appointment were gone and I couldn't get in until the second week of the month had to get car inspected also and I had to wait because of the screw up on their end. Went to the shop after making another appointment when I got to the St albans shop the would not honor the 50 Dollar coupon off that safelite sent me to use. I called the 800 number explained what was going in the talked with the shop and said since they would honor the 50 dollars off the would give me new windshield wipers it came time to leave and the gentlemen wouldn't honor the wipers either. I put a review in the safelite page they told me to call so they can talk. 4 weeks ago i was suppose to get a refund of 50 dollars and they still have not sent anything. NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER THE WOULDN'T HONOR ANYTHING THEY SAID OR DID. RIP OFF.

Replacement of lower hatch back glass on 2015 Prius
7/25/2022 2:00PM. When the technician arrived, I made a point of showing him the end seals for the glass which were inside the hatchback door on the respective sides of the vehicle so he could reinstall them. He finished his work and left. I needed to remove some items from the rear of the car. When I opened the hatchback, there was a trim retainer laying there as well as a bunch of the glass pieces from the broken glass. On inspection, I found that the left side trim did not fit as tight as the right side so I assumed that it came from that side. When I pulled the trim panel to install the retainer, I saw that he did not connect the right side wire for the glass heater. With the trim off, I also could see that he did not remove the tape he used to hold the glass in place when he installed it. I found that the molder rubber end seals were not installed and they were no where to be found. Apparently, he took them with him. Without those seals, water tracks horizontally along the glass to the end. With the seals, it is stopped from coming back into the car. Without the seals, water will collect in the hatch back interior of the car. I am very disappointed with Safelite Auto Glass service this time.
Desired outcome: I have scheduled a warranty appointment, but they could not tell me if the technician still has the seals or if they would be furnishing replacements.

I have a 2002 Honda Accord EX in immaculate condition I had Safelite per my insurance company to come to my home to fix my windshield they put a windshield in and 3 days later I have water in my car took it into the shop and they see it we're sorry we put the wrong windshield in they put another windshield in took it back again now they want me to go to Peoria Illinois to have a third windshield put in all of this happen at the Bloomington Illinois location now wh

Service done on my 2002 Jaguar vanden plas
On 7/23/2022 I had a windshield installed in my 2002 jaguar Vanden plus. To start it off the person you sent was rude and he did not know what he was doing. How do I know this, it was because he made a dozen phone calls to other techs asking them how to remove the window from my car.
While he was replacing the window the tech ripped my dash open with the string that he used to remove the window. I confronted him and the tech just ignored me. I have photos of before and after to prove that it was done while he was repairing the window. I also have him on cam with my security system showing the damage before and after. Again, I confronted him, and he said " our Insurance company will get hold of you sometime today. They never did. I then was on a three-way phone call with my insurance company and Safelite supervisor in Maramar CA and he said that he would take care of the problem. I tried to call him three maybe four times and no answer, so I put a *67 before the number to block my number from him, the supervisor, and he answered. This place is very sneekey. Every time I call corporate they say that is not how it works with a claim. So what is the process because my insurance company would like to know and so would I

I called talked to a machine and it hung up on me 17 times... Not one human came to the line... Only a machine which for some reason it doesnt understand 0 means operator I want to speak to a customer service representative, Yet No humans ever answer... I called the local number No answer only the damn machine which hung up on me again... Terrible terrible just terrible...
Desired outcome: Make the local phone number actually ring into the local office. maybe have a human answer the phone instead of being so cheap. Equine excrete that is what I think of your customer service.
Customer service
First I have used Safelite many many times and this time they lost my business for good. First I called and made the appointment on a Friday and they were suppose to make it for Williston Vermont got an email and they made it for Plattsburgh then when I called back on Monday they had no openings until the beginning of the month my inspection runs out at the end. They when I called they apologized for the mix up and said they would send me a 50 dollars off because I had a 500 deductible. I get to the St Albans shop and the guy would not honor the 50 dollars saying g Geico wouldn't let him do it so I called the 800 number again and they called and talked to the guy and he wouldn't do it so they offered me free windshield wipers. When they were done with my car I asked about the wipes and the guy said to me that he wasn't giving me wipers. This was the worst and I mean worst experience I had with Safelite and they lost my business for good. They were rude and had no respect.

Windshield Replacement
Hi my name is William Brockman Jr. My son on 6/25 had a appointment for his 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander at your Midway Florida location approximately 1 hour later he gets a call that a part needed wasn't there & they needed to contact Mitsubishi to get the said part; at about 3pm my son decided to call them because as they were to be closed at 5pm he would need his vehicle! After numerous calls he was told he could pick up the vehicle! Once there he was told it might be an additional charge for the part needed! He found his vehicle parked outside with windows down during a very hard rain later after getting underway his hood ajar waring displayed showing they didn't secure the vehicle's engine hood! We get a text and email for an appointment for the afternoon of July 2 but because his work schedule my son is unable to make that appointment! Once he called to reschedule he found out also they still didn't have the missing part needed and didn't know when it might be in; while discussing this and the possible additional charge with one of your rep the phone call suddenly disconnected or more harshly, she hung up! I know for a fact not all of Safelite customers reps behave that way because of the way you treated us only a few short weeks ago! Will you look into this for us please? All my son wants is to get his windshield replaced without multiple 40 plus miles trips to your Midway location!
Desired outcome: All he wants is his windshield replaced and it has already caused 2 round trips of 40+ miles one way reimbursement for gas because your repair crew scheduled an appointment without the parts
Rear view mirror fell off
These clowns replaced the windshield on my wife's Grand Cherokee, and now the Rearview mirror is dangling from the headliner by the wires. They have NO CSR's working at ALL and their Bulls#!t phonebot invites me to have a nice day (which isn't easy when your rearview mirror is swinging back and forth in your face when you try to drive to the store) and then hangs up on me. Their [protected]@ppy website has an email link for warranty work (which doesn't even get you a response), and their whole setup is a runaround (unless you're buying of course). I don't give a rat's @** I would have just paid whatever they asked just to get the damned thing fixed, but you can't even get in touch with these fly by night d!ps#!ts. My advice, go to a REAL auto glass specialist, these chumps will just cost you more money in the long run than if you'd have just had it fixed right the first time.
Desired outcome: There IS no possible outcome when you can't even get in touch with them. What, maybe go beat on the door of their empty, locked up shop?
Wiper blades
I had a chip in my windshield repaired on 6/4/22. I also had wipers installed on the same day. Today, 6/13/22 at 6:00 am it was raining on my way to work. On a busy winding road with numerous trucks flying by, the driver side wiper fell off! I pulled into a parking lot and tried to put it back on but it wouldn't lock on. I had to drive 40 min in the rain to work without a driver's side wiper! Two different coworkers tried to put it back on for me. Both said it was defective and could not lock on. It is supposed to continue to rain today. I need the wiper fixed today. Unable to get in touch with customer service!
Desired outcome: Send someone to my place of employment today before 3 pm to replace the driver side wiper
No service
I have made several appointments with Safelite to get my mother’s windshield repaired. I had an appointment Conyers Ga and when I called about the appointment it was cancelled, not by me. My next appointment was with the Athens Ga location last week. I was told they needed to cancel because of the weather. So they rescheduled it to this Thursday. This morning I was told they couldn’t come because they lost the replacement windshield and they would look for it and call me at 1pm. I called you at 1:30 and was told he was still waiting on the manager to let him know if they found the glass. Then I get a call around 3 to twill me they couldn’t locate the glass and would need to reschedule to June 10th. So now I need to wait another week for an appointment and all the representative could tell me is she had several calls similar today. That was no comfort. Safelite was n highly recommended and I am disappointed in the services not rendered.
Windshield replacement
I had a windshield replaced in December. When I called, I asked them to replace it with the same type of windshield that was in it, with the blue tint stripe across the top. They said that was no problem, it should be in stock. The guy came to the house to do the work and after he took the old one out, he replaced it with a clear windshield and said that's all they had. Then I drove it and it made horrible whistling sounds at 40+ mph. They came back out and told me I had to replace the plastic cowl because it now doesn't fit. I took it to the dealer and the glass guy there said Safelite put the windshield in too far so the cowl has a gap. I bought a new cowl for just over $325 and replaced the old one. It's better but not perfect. Three weeks ago I went through the car wash and got some drips so I made an appointment to have the windshield looked at, at their shop. They said they didn't think it was the windshield but that they would replace it with a new one since they agreed that it was set incorrectly. They set an appointment for the next week and told me they would get the glass I wanted with the blue stripe. The night before my appointment the office person called and said they didn't have the glass and would call me when it came in. That's been two weeks and still no phone call. It's not like I have a special vehicle or something. There are thousands of Durangos on the road and the tinted windshield is pretty common.
Desired outcome: Get me the right piece of glass and install it.
