My name is Yolanda Alexander and I've been a Saks customer for more than 35 years now. I recently placed an order for a wedding I'm attending. I purchased to items hoping that one would work. I received one of the two items; it didn't work so I returned it. I was hoping the second item would work and kept waiting for it to arrive. It never came so I checked the order status, and it showed the item as delivered. When I reached out to customer service, I was told I'd have to wait 5 business days to submit a claim and to check with my neighbors. I did and no one saw or received the package, so I followed up and submitted a claim on October 13th. Today I received an email saying the claim was denied because the carrier delivered it? I live in New York city, are you saying it's my fault that the package was left on my doorstep, and someone stole it? I can't believe that this is how customer service works. I spoke with Laivon, a Customer Service supervisor, and was told it's my fault because I didn't request a signature for the delivery. I went ballistic, I am beyond angry and have no intention of paying for an item I didn't receive. My I understand but times are tough but this is madness. Theft is out of control so why would they leave the package on my doorstep?
Desired outcome: I'd like a credit issued because I don't have the merchandise.
