faulty washing machine
I think the below mail recentlty written to the dept should explain everything:
Hi,
This e-mail is addressed to mr. Pramod kr. Rai, in charge of the ghaziabad service centre and, is my last try before lodging this as a complaint with the consumer court.
To start with I purchased a samsung fully automatic washing machine (Model no: wa82hag) in jan 2006 from ghaziabad.
The machine worked really well till mid of 2007 and since then I have constantly been in touch with the samsung customer care and the so called engineers that visit my place.
There have been 15 phone calls to the customer care in the last 4-5 months for 5-6 problems and there have been at least 10 visits to my place (I have the records, and I know that you also have it).
Now after:
Wasting 2-3 days every month with samsung service department
Phone being banged just because they did not have an answer to my polite query (Mr. Saket of your department to be precise)
Hundreds of fake promises being made both by engineers and customer care
Senior engineers coming to my place (Charanjit of your dept) and committing that I will call you by evening because there is a part that's missing
Senior engineer coming to my place and boasting that once I visit and repair a product that product never gets faulty again
My concern is that why the product cannot be replaced as:
Having so many complaints in such a short duration of time is not enough
All the experience that I have and managing a team of 100 members in my office, am I foolish enough not to understand that the machine has something that cannot be rectified
The warranty will end in 4 months time and this has been dragging since the last 4 months
You do not have an engineer who can rectify the problems
If the machine has a warranty of 2 years that means it can be replaced within that and not just 2-4 months after purchase (As per your engineers)
Going forward:
I will be more than happy if some senior person who has the authority to get this piece replaced gives me a call ([protected])
I will not be surprised (After the last 4 months) if this e-mail goes to trash and I do not get a response
Please understand:
The importance of customer service
The impact it will have on samsung as I will not be able to recommend anyone to go for samsung after my experience.
samsung manual only in spanish
I bought one of your refrigerators on october 6, 2007. Unfortunately, I opened and cleaned it before checking the manual. The basic parts were already installed but there was one part that I did not know where to fit. When I checked the manual, to my surprise it is written in spanish only. This manual is of no use to me. I then went on the internet and this product was not listed either. What do I do. How do I get the information. I suggest that your manuals be written in at least two languages. Also I am asking that the information for this particular product be posted on your website so I can have access to it.
lo compre sin manual era el urtimo que avia en la tienda porque la estaban cerando
worst experience I have ever had
I purchased this TV 4 years back and it has been giving me problems ever since. Almost every 3-6 months, there is some problem. Just two months back, the service engineer, unable to locate the problem, took the set to the service center at my expense and then asked me to change two major circuit boards costing as much as a regular TV; i did that and within 2 months same problem came up and the TV is down. On being reported again, this time the service engineer says, the problem must be with picture tube and u should get it changed. The service people know nothing and are taking consumers for a ride. The head of the center says that the technology is obsolete and i should dump this set now.
This is the worst experience I had and never in my life would I buy a samsung product. Moreover, I would make sure to publicize the company's disinterest in providing after sales service and the attitude of its service engineers.
doubtful service
I am not getting desired service from samsung dehradun service centre. My microwave oven model: c103fl, bearing product serial no. 01657dby802266t is out of order. I lodged a complaint (9920) to the samsung service centre, dehradun. The service man came, checked the oven and said the pct requires change. Next day he brought a pct in an open box (Not sealed) as it is required for new part. On asking about the genuineness of the product, I was told that they receive the part like this from new delhi. However, the pct never looked like new one. Rather it was already a used one. Even after installing the new one to the oven, it did not worked. I was told that the replaced part is not ok and he will repair the oven the next day.
Total charges I was suppose to pay was pct charges rs.2392+ vat rs 299+ services rs 281 = rs rs 2972. I have doubt about the parts supplied by the service centre. How can a customer be satisfied when sincerity of the services is in doubt?
microwave oven frequent breakdown
I had purchased a samsung microwave oven, model no. C103fl for my personal use, from m/s ideal home appliances, trivandrum on 20.8.2004. Initially for about ten months the microwave oven gave very good performance. But immediately after about ten months it had started giving problem in that some times the microwave will not function or some switches will not function, etc. When I contacted the supplier they gave the address of your authorized service centre, ie. Mereena electronics, trivandrum. With repeated call the service personnel came and attended the job. The service engineer cleaned the contacts and the oven became operational. This breakdown and repair is being continued for the last two years and each time on payment. In last may the service man replaced the pcb (Rcs. C103.08) costing me around rs.3000/-. Again in july, 2007 the item had started giving problem and the service man did come and rectified it. But by first week of this month the problem again started and the oven is not working at present. I had informed m/s samsung electronics india ltd. , the manufactur errof the product in detail about the problem. But no reply so far. Poor service and defective products.
incompetent, inefficient customer service
My samsung tv which was attended to after several calls failed again with the same problem after a week. Repeated efforts to get the service technician to rectify the problem is not bearing fruit. The company has hired a bpo for taking their calls and every time I call I am promptly given the answer that my complaint will be attended to the same day. But nobody comes. The service engineers are incompetent, inefficient and they have no idea what the problem is and are unable to locate the problem. After coughing up 1800 rupees for the service I am left with a defective tv. I will advise one and everyone not to endorse samsung products which are defective in nature and have no efficient service engineers. The company is a total fraud and should not be allowed to sell their products in india.
poor quality!
Hi, I have a not yet 4 year old samsung 34" 100hz television.
Going from first service call in the first month to now 6th call all for same problem, I have been without the tv about 4 months, or more, in this period. Last time said could not find problem. Suggests something may have been loose.
Time before samsung said no arts in malaysia but insurance company found part in singapore.
Friend had panasonic, had fault 3 times in 9 months and they gave her new tv.
Purchased tv through senheng and customer gets no great support, they cannot even honor their service rules.
inadequate warranty service
Since then color patches are observed on the screen and the picture also appears to be tilted, but samsung service engineers reply was all the tv sets looks to be tilted. Atleast this kinds of reply I do not expect from the service peoples of such a brand item in the market which is selling tvs with tilted pictures. I think might the service engineer is not competent to handle such typical problems or he is not so technically sound. Very poor service from samsung.
Fyi the yoke of the tv set was changed during warranty and the warranty is still applicable.
before you buy anything samsung!
Till today I have not received my $100 rebate for which I filled out (Religiously) and send in on time all of the required items! I received a denial card: "your item is not eligible" although the add (With a link to the rebate) clearly proves that I and many others on line are being cheated out of their rebate money. My registered complained letter to samsung was refused! 2 letters to circuit city were unanswered! This blatant rebate fraud/false advertising should be stopped! My research found over 500 consumers complains on file with the nj bbb! I send letters with copies of all my supporting documents to two attorney generals, nj-bbb, ftc, channel 5-shame on you, investigates, bill oreily. Link to nj-bbb
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Samsung claims to offer a rebate of 6 months of free Netflix, a 64 GB Evo+ micro SD card and clear view standing cover when you purchase a Galaxy S8 cell phone. You will not receive this rebate no matter how much time in accuracy you put into your claim. If anyone has received this rebate please let me know. Samsung is committing false advertising on a large scale. My story:
The Samsung app to claim the rebate would not work.
1st phone call I reached the Tech department quickly and they gave me a ticket number and told me to call during open hours.
2nd phone call was answered in a reasonable time but then I was transferred to a one and a 1/2 hour wait. I did wait one and a 1/2 hours to talk to a Samsung customer-service representative. I was told I would receive an email within a week. The email has not come. It's been a week.
poor quality product!
I purchased my samsung refrigerator on january 17, 2005 at bestbuy in patchogue for the price of $989.99 plus $50.00 delivery fee. I have enclosed herein, a copy of the sales receipt. In february of 2007 (The later part of the month) the freezer began leaking. The freezer was accumulating ice on the back part and then the ice would melt and then leak on the floor. I contacted samsung who told me to call dukes appliance and they gave me transaction #[protected]. On march 7, 2007, a technician named rob from dukes appliance came and said the problem was that the drain was frozen and blew out the drain. The fee was $92.33 which I paid. On march 12, 2007 the freezer leaked again ruining my new wood floors. Dukes appliance sent a different technician, andrew on march 14, 2007 who said the problem was the defrost kit and they would have to order one. I was once again without a refrigerator! In late march, when I called dukes appliance to see when the defrost kit would be in, they said it was not the defrost kit and would sent another technician out to my house. On april 2, 2007, they sent andrew and carmine who proceeded to diagnose the problem for the third time. This time, they said that a wire (The heater connection) was off and they put it back on. They lost some of the screws that were needed to put the back of the refrigerator back on and my husband was extremely annoyed at the whole process. Here is four months later with the same problem. There obviously is a defect in this refrigerator. I have also contacted samsung during the whole repair process. The hold time on the phone is extremely long (At times 30 min) only to be given to a "special tech" with another hold time. The outcome was that its our problem and not theres. If dukes appliance would have given us receipts and said our refrig. Was not good they may have gave us a refund. Get and keep all receipts! And get diagnosis in writing.
poor service!
We purchased a new samsung side by side refrigerator from best buy 4 yrs ago, a beautiful top of the line model. The unit worked perfectly until about 3 months ago. It appears that the unit will not go into the defrost mode and defrost the fridge portion of the machine. I called best buy to have a service tech come and repair the unit, knowing it was not covered under the warranty. The tech, (Nice guy) called me up to inquire as to the problems I was having with the unit. Over the phone he said that he would gladly come out, however, it sounded like there was a problem with the motherboard or other related defrost sensors or parts. He said that all he could do was to replace the parts 1 by 1 to fix the problem and that I had to purchase all these parts for the repair. I was shocked and ask if he has a ohm meter to first ck whether there was continuity at the plugs to determine if the motherboard or other related parts were really bad. He stated that the samsung, (Like the lg and other upper end fridges) were very sensitive to power fluctuation's and motherboard failure was a common problem. I canceled the visit, called the local authorized repairman, and got the same response. The local authorized repair shop stated they did not know a lot about the unit and would call the factory about the problem. The local guy never called, and after 3 more weeks I called 6 times trying to get the unit repaired. I finally gave up and ordered the needed parts thru "1st source", a local authorized parts dealer for samsung. I ordered the parts 2 weeks ago and yesterday called the counter guy to find that the parts I need were discontinued from the factory and no longer available. Now what?
So now I have a beautiful yard fixture!
I am also shocked at the samsung service department. I can not believe they would be so difficult to get information or help from. It seems they rely on the local service people and insulate themselves from their customer.
Shame on you! Like the other consumer with problems, I will not purchase anything from a company with such a reckless disregard for the customer. I also encourage everyone to just check out the support department and see if you can even get a person of technical ability on the phone, call from a line line because it will be a long wait!
I m having Double door refrigerator 320 Ltr., Last 10 days no proper cooling , only very little cooling in freezer . Though i have register complaint at service station & complaint no. [protected] on 30th august 2007 but no action has been take only once service engineer has attended the complaint but due to non availability of spare parts nothing has been done till 6th september & even after reminding every day three times in a day. Such a shameful feed back from SAMSUNG INDIA!
I bought an expensive samsung refregerator a couple of years ago and it has turned out to be just another piece of junk. The Ice maker has gone bad. actually, it detached
itself and its just sitting there in the ice compartment. I bet it costs as much to repair it as buying an new one.
Water is coming out from the bottom of the fridge in huge quantity.
my mobile number [protected]
I have a new samsung refrigerator, I feel same problems
I also feel the same in my new samsung refrigerator
Water Tray on the back side of the Refrigerator on the top of the motor is ruined badly. I approch the service centre in Trivandrum, but didn't get any help or parts to replace.
service center not giving me satisfaction!
I'm sachin. I have purchased a desktop from esys from the starting day (1st jan 2007) I got problem in my monitor. When I complained to the company. They transfer me to samsung by saying that the monitor is manufactured by samsung. Samsung took my monitor to service center. And return me after the 10 days. The problem is not yet solve & they didn't return my stand.
I owned a SAMSUNG Washing Machine - WA1350S since year 2003 but unable to turn on the power since early Dec 2009. When the Samsung Technician check on 16 Dec 2009 had finalized that it is PCB DNA and he told that there is no more stock for replacement PCB for this Model.
I wondering that if Samsung Product do not keep any spare part to serve their customer after service like my case own a Samsung Washing Machine for almost 7 years only facing problem and need to repair but Samsung unable to do it.
I feel Samsung do not respect their customer and unable to provide a very good service after sale for those customer own their product but after warranty period.
Is that this signal all the customer in this world who purchase Samsung Product have to throw away their Samsung Product once have problem on their product due to Samsung do not have Spare Part to repair it.
If this is the case then I think better do not continue to support Samsung better go for other brand that can service their customer better even after warranty period. How can we trust Samsung Product in future for this kind of bad service?
Hope Samsung Co. looks seriously on their customer that need better service and have quick reply and provide a good solution for my problem.
Just to strongly clarify that I'm Samsung Product Supporter for so long. I own Samsung Refrigerator, Washing Machine, Microwave and etc.

The Samsung service is horrible..
Hi, had purchased 120 gp Samsung hdd from Mumbai in jan 2007. After that i had a problem in hard disk. Then I had given my hard disk to Samsung service center at Lamington road express digital system. After 5 days I have been get my hard disk back by replacement and that hard disk have big problem than previous hard disk . Hdd can not be formated by me. before giving me another hard disk they should have checked that Hdd. they are not giving the right services to costumers.
This is the worst costumer support I have ever met. I am so much disappointed with this service.
poor service, faulty equipment!
This air conditioner failed to function properly after 1 year. The electronic thermostat controls failed and the a/c unit ices up. I sent it to wind service in hicksville, n. Y. And they have had it since august 3rd and claim they are waiting for parts. This is poor service from and authorized repair center as well as poorly built a/c units. I will never recommend nor purchase another samsung product.
I cant agree or disagree cause your complint was not clear. More details are needed. Please dont take this as I am sticking up for Wind Serv. I Worked for this company and if they say they are waiting for parts... They are waiting for part and I would put money on that. There are situations where parts get back ordered. the only cases that I know Wind Serv ever waited for parts is
1.Its a part that is rare and to order them in bulk is a huge money waster because some parts we used 1 a year some once a month... Ac parts in August GO VERY FAST! It was always the manufactuer that always made us wait!
2. Recall parts need to be ordered in bulk but sometimes you dont know how many you need to order untill you find out how many customers will bring their unit in to us... If we order say 20 parts and one day 4 customers bring in the unit then and the next day 4 ect... then one day 15 then we order more. Some customers get a recall on AC and wait till july to get the repair! Use you head! You get recall in Jan bring it in then! DUH! Not when Everybody and their mother needs AC repair at the same time!
Wind Service Puts nothing off and does their work VERY FAIR!. The apppitments are very organized. Firs come first serve with repairs such as garbage disposals dishwashers or washer and dryers. no exceptions! Think about a hospital... They go by "treage" You come in with a stubbed toe wait for a doctor for an hour and a baby comes in and they take the baby right away... The ones that are hurt the most go ffirst.. If your appoitment is at say 1-3 and the repair man tell you he is on his way to you to fix your dryer ... and a call comes in to us that a 90 year old woman's AC broke on a 90 degree day we will go there first ( she could die!)
Another thing... People...use you damn head...dont get pissed off if the repair man comes to your house because your dishwasher is flooding bubbles because you put dishliquid instead of dishwasher liquid then charges you the diagnosis fee for telling you that u they make dishwasher liquid for the dishwasher and dish liquid for washing by hand... there is a reason for that...DUH!
Leave the receptionist alone! Its not their fault that your "waiting too long for you appliance to be fixed!"
I loved this job... But the owner fired me! Why dosent it bother me? Because as hard as I tried i made too many mistakes. But the business is his bread and butter. And I know how devestated it was for him to have to do that to me. I will stand by Howard spun in a heart beat. So please... Be patient... He's doing his best. He dosent want to lose a customer for one... and two im sure he would bend over backwards for you if something needed to be repaird that was needed like a fridge. You would be put above a dryer.
Anyway sorry about your AC... Give this company a chance. Like I said they get ALOT of AC in august.
needed the replacement!
I purchased the samsung spilt ac model no=asti8wjwdb last year on 24-aug-2006, but due to renovation in house I installed the same in the month on october-2006. This year in summer when I switch on the ac cooling for unsatisfactory so I raised the complaint in customer care (Compliant no=[protected]) , engineer stated gas has been leak so their refilled I don't understand how come new ac gas got leak without using for a second also. Again after 15 days same problem occurs again leak was refilled.
4 th time due to repeated complaint they took the ac to service station but sorry to say problem persists the same.
This proves that samsung piece which was provided to me was faulty so I wanted my ac should be replaced else I have no other option putting the case to high authority...
not honoring company warranty
I purchased a brand new backjack i607 cell phone (With 1yr manufacturer warranty) and within 30 days (Rarely used), the cell phone froze up. I called up samsung and opened a work order with them and shipped the cell phone per their instructions. After 45 days I received the cell phone back from them along with a letter stating that the circuit board is cracked and it is not covered under warranty and that they can do nothing about it. I called them up several times with no avail. This cell phone is hardly used and never dropped on the floor or water and still looks brand new without a single scratch. They even stopped responding to my calls and letters.
I am stuck now with a non-functioning phone and this is the worst company ever.
major tv problems!
We paid $1200.00 for this tv at the end of december 2006. The screen went completely black the beginning of june 2007. Called for service, it was a week before anyone could come out to look at it. Once the repairman was here, he said the tv was having major problems and would have to go back to his shop for repair. Three weeks later the repairman said he was still waiting for a decision from samsung on whether the part needed was available. At that point the repairman filed a report with samsung saying that the tv should be replaced. I called samsung after giving them the required amount of time they requested to review the report (5 days) , and the executive customer service representative actually had the nerve to tell me, 'well, the part they want to replace is expensive, so our technical people have asked them to try some other fixes. " I reminded him that I had already paid for that part already, along with the rest of the television, and that the repairman had already told me that the set could not be repaired because the part was unavailable. He then agreed to forward the case to the exchange department. Now, seven weeks later, I have to wait for someone to call me and offer to send me the same model, or possibly a 2007 model. When I asked about a refund he was quick to tell me that samsung would not issue a refund, however I could try to get one from the store from which I had purchased the set, even though they are under no obligation to do so.
Good luck to you.
My new Samsung 3D plasma TV die after 42 days. I have been waiting for service since Dec 3, 2010 - 145 days ago. The "Service Call Center" is useless & lied constantly.
On April 1st (day 120), someone from Samsung Electronics Canada called to offer me a Service Exchange. After another 25 days, nothing happens. She will not response to my phone messages & emails. Calling to the "Service Call Center" results in another 30+ minutes of lies. The person even told me they will have a NEW unit ship to me in 2 days.
However, we are supposed to get a "RA Credit" issued to FutureShop to do an exchange locally. So many times they told us something are coming in 3 weeks, then they changed the story so I need to call the "Service Call Center" again. My service ticket: [protected]
Can you imagine 145 days without a TV, after you paid for it. I wish you luck.
We as consumers have to come together to protect our rights.
I purchased my 46 inch LCD 3D TV about 6 months ago. Mine had the exact same problem with the screen. It went black and sometime not even that. It was still under warranty when I put in a service request to have it fixed. It took about a week for the part to come in and the service rep to come out to fix. It then worked fine for almost a month, when bam, same dam thing happened again. I will be calling again to have it fixed for a second time. I can't believe Samsung is selling this piece of [censored] on the market. Will def never buy another Samsung TV ever again. Buyer beware!
I also purchased a samsung 32" LCD about two years ago. The one speaker went out within a couple month but now my screen is black. Every time I turn it on it it blinks 3 times (2 sec intervals) with the picture and then becomes black, only the sound working. No insurance to get it fixed. Top_dogg06@yahoo.com
I purchased a samsung 32" LCD tv nearly 2 years ago. Was functioning fine until, the picture would start to blink continuosly. Sometimes it would stop and picture woud be normal for viewing, but now picture will autoblink continuosly and I would need to shut it off. My no name 23' TV bought 7 yrs ago is running strong in the bedroom verse this supposed marvel of Korean technology. Of course it'll cost more to repair the issue. It just places the consumer in a no win situation, when Samsung does not deliver a satisfactory solution and stand by its product. The customer should not bear any cost to manufacturer defect, and Samsung should realize the detrimental harm in te multitudes of unsatisfied customers no longer interested in their unreliable products. This is why we pay a premium for SONY, they're products last for 10 yrs +. Their brand has a reliable reputation. I'm very disappointed in Samsung, and will no longer support them.
John, from Pennsylvania
I have a two year old Samsung 37 inch lcd television for which I paid $1000. After about an hour and a half or two hours of playing, the screen goes blank with the backlight going off. I communicated with Samsung twice and they told me to call for service. The service people have told me the only thing they can do is change out the display panel which will cost more than a new television. After paying an expert from Answers. com for their recommendations, I have changed out the power supply board and the inverter board and the symptoms remain the same. I cannot believe that Consumers reports still recommend Samsung as one of the best televisions on the market, when I find so many people with relatively new sets failing every day. I personally will never buy another Samsung product and will tell everyone I meet to avoid them.
djhutch1@yahoo.com
I also own a 2008 32" samsung LCD tv that also suddenly won't turn on. The power light is lit but that is all my new tv does. I thought I had purchased a quality product from Samsung, well, all I did was pay the price of one. I am all in on making them pay for selling junk tv's (as if they didn't know!)
I also bought a 46' Samsung LCD t.v. 2 years ago and now it won't turn on...when it does, it takes like 5 hours to come on. Once it's shut off, it won't turn on again. I've talked to Samsung and they said they will send a service man out at no charge ONLY if there is a certain defect in THEIR PRODUCT. If it's another defect in THEIR PRODUCT they will automatically charge me for the service call and the part to fix it.
If you want to put a stop to this company selling products that break within a couple years please contact this law firm and lets join a class action lawsuit against Samsung.

The only way to get Samsung's attention is by emptying their pockets! Which are deep with OUR money!
I brought a 46 LCD Samsung and it is junk. I reported the problem to the warrant department and they said I might have it hook up wrong or it might be the cable. While I have a Sony in my Bedroom and it works great. My Samsung take 10 to 15 minutes to warm up and when it finally comes on there red spots all over the screen. You have to turn it off and on again several times for the spots to go away. I paid to much money for this junk. Something needs to be done
I will never buy another Samsung product! I bought a LN-T3253H tv for $996.12 on Feb. 8th of 2008 & on June 1st of 2010 we lost our picture. We have great sound but no picture! I have been in contact with Samsung, the store we purchased the tv from & I have been told to contact a service center for futher assistance. Now comes the good part: If I bring it into the service center the Min. Charge is $50. to look at it! If they come to my house the min. charge would be $90. AND IT GETS BETTER! According to the repair center it is probably going to be a $300 to $500 item plus labor (just to let me know in advance) so with todays technology it might be better to just purchase a new tv...? What the f...
I just bought a new tv 2 yrs ago! And I went for the more expensive Samsung name with the reassurance that I was getting a better product that some of the "No Name" tv's on the market...Last I checked a 2yr old tv was a fairly new tv! I will be airing a video on you-tube hoping to show people what to expect if they purchase a Samsung tv & then have a problem!
I also have the same problem with my 40" that i bought last year and can't get anything done...all i'm hearing is your warranty is up
refrigerator always under repair
We have purchased samsung refrigerator model no: sg25bpwhn on 21/3/2001. Since last year ie 2006 feb, we are having prolonged problems with the refrigerator. Initially they filled gas in feb'06, later it was in the workshop for "water in the body" last month jun'07, and now gas to be filled up again. We are having another refrigerator too which bpl (Frost free) company's since 11yrs without any complaint till now.
I would like to tell all my family friends and folks "not to buy any more samsung home products" from now on specially refrigerators. Their service is bad and their product is hopeless. I am expecting a fair reply from them.

rt440 refrigrator problems
I bought in feb 2006 a 440 lt samsung frost free from samsung digital home, amritsar, punjab.
Within 5 months of purchase, there was a problem of water leakage and jammed temperature controls.
Since then, I have complained regularly (Once every 20 30 days) to the local service station but they attribute all this to "design flaws" in the fridge. The extent of their their technicians "service" was to use a blow drier / jug of boiling water on the faulty temp controller which they claim is the problem. Ever since this summer started, the cooling also started going down.
Things came to a head this july, when the fridge stopped cooling and the freezer worked intermittently. The technicians visited me on 8,9,10,12,13 and 14 july but each time they had different diagnosis (Different technicians !) but no solutions. The extent of their "service" was to chuck boiling water into the freezer cooling vents which unjammed the controls temporarily, but they froze soon after.
One bright chap said the vents were too small and proceeded to file them to a larger size. He claimed this problem was common in all fridges of this model. As expected, no effect, no cooling and lots of leakage.
Next guy changed some temp control parts and charged 580 / - out of which 200 was for parts and rest for labor (He had to open three screws and snip lots of retainer clips which he didn't replace). Since I was at wits end, I coughed up even though the company should have taken responsibility since this was a problem which developed within 5 months of purchase.
What gets my goat is that the next day 14/7/07 when the same problems recurred the guy who sold me the fridge blew me off saying he had no time to listen to my problems (Even though it was the first time I was talking to him, and that too only because he had told me to call him if the problem persisted). In the meantime, the "engineer" limited his servicing to ### about how they have to suffer because the fridges have these problems out of the factory.
On consulting other mechanics I have found that there are no faults in other fridges of this model (So much for design flaws). Also, that all the boiling water is going to create problems of rusting and failed insulation very soon. Also that the vents being filed to a larger size means that the temp controller is effectively bypassed.
Most unprofessional, untrustworthy and unconcerned company with an attitude problem to boot.
I want them to a. Repair at their cost b. Refund my cash c. Indemnify in writing that future rusting / insulation failure will be tackled free by them d. If they claim a design flaw, change the fridge with one which works.
defective monitors
Samsung monitor service.
Called to receive replacement monitor. Had a $500 retainer put on my debit card to have the replacement sent to my home. Received a defective monitor. Sent it back. They kept the $ hold on my account.
The second replacement monitor was sent to a ups store when it should have been sent directly to me. No $ hold is necessary for this type of replacement transaction. It took a 30 minute phone call to get my money released.
The total time I had to spend on the phone with samsung, just to get a replacement monitor is over 2.5 hours. This includes the original phone call, 3 to get the defective replacement taken care of, and the last to get my $500 back. I am not sure I would have had it refunded if I did not call.
I had to wait days for the broken replacement to get back to the service center before they would send a second replacement. They would not expedite the release of the second monitor.
This has taken over 3 weeks.
Now, I have to go out to a ups store to pick up the second replacement and drag my old on with me.

SAMSUNG service is bad!
I purchased a new Samsung monitor over a year a go now. However, I had a problem with it from the start. I thought it was my computer and returned my computer to the place of purchase within 90 days. By the time it was figued out it was the monitor and I contacted Samsung they told me that they could only send out a reconditioned monitor. They did and it was not good, the pixels were bad on the replacement monitor. I contacted them again, they sent me out another monitor. I feel that they send me out the exact monitor I sent them had the same problem as the original. I was able to hook up an old monitor that I had and my computer works just fine.
I have been on the phone with Samsung many times, and in December 2008 they told me that they were going to send me a refund. I have called them many times since to find out the status of my refund. They leave me on hold forever, then come back with me and tell me that they will have someone contact me within 24 hours, they never do. I have been told many times by their executive relations department that the check was in the mail, there were no problems. I called them again yesterday, March 18, 2009 I was again told that someone would get back with me within 24 hours, they did not. I called back today March 19, 2009, I was left on hold for an hour waiting to talk to someone in another department, they finally hung up on me. I called back and I was then again told that someone would get back with me.
All I want is this to be resolved, I feel that Samsung has not been treating me fairly. I thought Samsung had a good reputation, however, if this is the way they treat consumers. This is just not right!
Sincerely,
Nancy Gilkes
