ginger evans crescent rolls...
I bought a roll to make for dinner and when i brought them home and began making them i knew right away something was not right ... I felt large sharp pieces in the dough and upon further inspection when I took the sharp piece out and looked closer it looked like glass fragments or very sharp plastic ... this us very unsafe and I am more than upset ... I expect some type of compensation... I have pictures and proof as well .. if not i will contact an Attorney this is extremely unsafe
never have nothing in the store
been there three time they never restock the store and everytime they have a sale they have nothing that's in the sale paper even the store has very little in the store the freezers has nothing in them so i will not go back to the homossas in florida they need to do something about this store because i will never go back until someone can do something about the person running the store
meat dept
Have been only meat cutter for past 9 months working 6 to 7 days week and doing it with health issues that I can prove, new GM who came from Walmart has been constantly complaining because meat case isn't full but he comes at 8am or 8pm when no one in meat dept. I have been competing in sales with other stores that have 2 meat cutters but have been getting put on blast by new GM no matter what I do. I will not quit because I care about my job and my company which is why I overdo myself 6 0r 7 days week despite heart issues and lots of medications. Not trying to be threatening because I'm a good guy who doesn't like trouble but if the unfairness doesn't stop soon I will be calling my lawyer and filing law suit so with all due respect he might wanna calm down some. We are not Walmart. Thank you for your time.
store manager tammy
Good morning!
I live within walking distance to the Save A Lot at 115 W. McArthur St in Corunna, MI so I do most of my shopping there. The meat manager Chris and Assistant Manager Bonnie were sweet as they could be and I have nothing but good things to say about them. They are always very attentive, kind and a pleasure to have small conversation with while I do my weekly grocery shopping.
This morning I went about my business as normal and I am shocked and appalled at the treatment and flat out abuse I witnessed first hand these employees had to endure by their store manager Tammy.
I checked out on register 1 at roughly 9am this morning, Saturday, August 4th, 2018 when a woman came up next in line quite obviously in a horrible mood. I noticed she had a small purchase but also her overwhelming mood and perfume. I kept to myself and couldn't help but notice the mood change when she had approached. Tammy had told Bonnie something about needing to count her till and I realized she was in management. I had never seen her before and quite honestly, I would be completely fine never seeing her again.
I could only hear bits and pieces of this interaction between her and Bonnie as I walked to start packing up my groceries for my walk home. While I was bagging my items, I saw Chris come up and there was a brief interaction where Tammy kept LOUDLY repeating "It's my day off! Have a good day. Have a good day. Have a good day." Interrupting Chris repeatedly as she tried asking Tammy questions. It looked like it was rather important but she kept getting cut off by Tammy's exclamations of how it's not her problem because "It's my day off! I'm not on the clock!"
You could see not only the defeat, but also the tears in Chris' eyes as she slumped her shoulders and left without another word.
Tammy rang up a customer on register two because there was another customer that needed help and a line was forming. As Tammy was leaving, Bonnie went outside and I could not hear that interaction but I witnessed Tammy in what I can only describe as hurling her empty cart towards Bonnie. There was anger behind it and if that were me, I would consider that battery because it was threatening and could possibly have caused injury if Bonnie were any closer.
When she came back in, I patiently waited for her to finish up with another customer and I told her she didn't deserve to be treated in such a manner. I told her I'm in customer service myself and how she was treated was completely unacceptable and that I will be emailing whomever I have to because that's how upset this situation had made me. I told her we are all people, no matter what our job title is and I hoped she had a much better rest of the day. She was almost in tears when I said as much.
I don't care if Tammy is the store manager, she was mean, threatening and flat out bullying her coworkers "on her day off". I'm a Forensic Psychology major with an Associates in Criminal Justice and I do feel as if I've witnessed several misdemeanors within the span of about 10 minutes. She worked off the clock, she could've hurt someone with that cart - using it in a threatening manner (battery, by the way), and even though bullying isn't considered a legal crime (yet), the psychological and emotional abuse I witnessed in this short span of time is just a fraction of what I'm sure these poor people have to deal with daily.
Please fire her and put someone else that is more deserving and frankly, more HUMAN in charge. I'm sure you will have a smaller turnover rate and employees might actually be happy to come to work.
service
I went into Sav a lot 1250 Park Street store 844 on July 21, 2018 Saturday at about 5:30 p.m. and was looking for a product and an assistant manager by the name of Belmarie confronted me and was extremely rude. She told me that if the product was not on the shelf then "OBVIOUSLY" they didn't have it! She refused to open up a register to help bring the line down, even though she heard customers complaining. She didnt seem to care at all. I work in customer service and this is definitely NOT how customers should be treated at all! This is not the first time ive had an issue with this employee and i think its time to voice my thoughts, to hopefully get a resolution!
morning delight sausage biscuits 10 count
I purchased the 10 Count package of the above described product (Morning Delights Sausage Biscuits) and upon opening the package discovered it only contained three 2-count packages. We were shorted two additional packages.
Due to the price of this product, and paying full price for same, an speedy and efficient resolution to this matter is expected and appreciated.
Bought these yesterday. They’re very tiny, but filling. I thought it was a good price, but you do eat two at a time.
Purchased Morning Delight 10 ct. sausage biscuits at SaveALot recently. The price was right, and I wasn't expecting much. But not only were the biscuits in the packs of two very small, they were not exactly in the best shape. I was very disappointed.
over charging me
I bought 15 cans of tuna and a pop I bought the 69 cents tuna the worker named tom charged me 79 cents for tuna and had to bring the manager over to redo it I'm done with shopping at this save alot in maysville ky I will shop somewhere else for now on they was not happy that they had to lower the price they was disrepectfull I've always been a loyal customer I will not continue to shop their no more thank you
cashier
I was at the sav a lot in owensboro kentucky there was a very rude dark skinned girl who couldnt take my money because you dont take american express. Which is fine but, when i asked her she couldnt tell me and she accused me of not having enough money. At that time I left all the bags there and left the store. Today is july 27th this occured at 5pm. She needs more proper training we will not be back
in store purchase: moldy mayo and bad meat
Incident occurred on July 4th. I bought a few items, including a jar of mayo, and a package of pork chops. When I opened the mayo, the inner seal was already partially lifted and black and green mold was inside. The pork chops were bad when I went to use them July 6th (use or freeze by date was the 7th). They smelled horrible and I dared not risk eating rotten meat.
attitude from the manager
I was in the store late afternoon of July 17. When I entered I overheard the store manager and a young looking lady cashier talking about an incident with the store manager and another person. From the sound of it, the other individual was also an employee. The store manager proceeded to tell the cashier "he has one more time for me and him to get into it and I'm done. If this company wants to get crazy and run their head then I have another place I could go work". She had no censor to what she was talking about and who heard it. The whole time I was in there the manager did nothing but walk around, aside from the time she was at the register gossiping. There were so many empty spots in the store. She passed by a ton of customers and didn't even acknowledge them. Not even with a smile. She obviously has no enthusiasm for her job and from the looks of the store, doesn't know what she's doing. I would think being a person of authority, I would present myself with a more positive attitude. I would tend to the upkeep of the store rather than gossip at the front entrance where everyone can hear.
flood damage to the niles, michigan store
Due to the flood damage to our Niles store they were not able to reopen.. Would really like to know if we can get another one here in Niles. My wife and I miss the store and all the great prices on the food we get there.. Any word on reopening a store here.. we would really love to have the store back. The other stores around here don't offer the same great prices.
mcdaniels iced coffee
Where is the McDaniel's Mocha Iced Coffee? It's the best on the market. No other brand compares to it. It's one of the reasons I shop at Save-A-Lot. The manager of our store doesn't even know why it was discontinued. International Delight, the replacement is nowhere as good. At least let your managers know why, so they can tel us. Please, please bring it back.
I used to shop at Save-A-Lot once a week mostly to stock up on McDaniel's iced mocha coffee which I shared with my neighbors AND promoted to my co-workers! I really miss it... Don't know why its no longer on the shelves but PLEASE bring it back! Its the best we ever had!

false advertisement
I used to shop at the store on 98 N in Lakeland Fl on a regular basis. As of late, now your store advertises things they are always out of. I read the sales paper, go to the store and their Sales Items are ALWAYS out but. They always seem to have a high priced Items to replace the sales Items. I believe that is called bait and switch. I have enjoyed being a customer in the past.
save a lot workers
Every time I got to save a lot you've got maybe 1-2 people running the whole entire store. While the rest of them about up to 6 are outside smoking cigarettes or just outside acting daft instead of doing their job. Now everyone deserves a cigarette break I understand that, but these people out here at this store work 15 minutes and are outside 45 minutes on every hour of their job. They are outside more than they are inside and the store suffers because of this. Nothing is ever straight or put up like it's suppose to be when you go in there. I don't know the managers name but she's the lead of this all. She's short and brown haired. When they are in the store they act like they're partying and getting loud or like I said outside smoking and goofing off all the time. I'd appreciate if you'd ask about it if that don't work I'll take pictures and send them to you
coburn farms finely shredded italian style cheese
I bought this bag of cheese today along with hamburger, spaghetti sauce, and noodles. I cooked the spaghetti and put it into pans. As I finished sprinkling the cheese on the 2nd pan I noticed lots of mold on the bottom of the cheese. I do not want to give my family food poisoning and I am very upset that I wasted my time and about 20 dollars on dinner that I have to throw out. :(
products and service
The food at this location isn't fit to be sold. I have held back this complaint because I know that this community needs a place to shop, however we shouldn't be subjected to this. We have a right to have fresh and decent food. There is no way the vegetables should even be sold. The husk on the corn on the cobb is brown, the bags of salad are wet, the tomatoes are rotten and squishy, the cabbage is withered. The bags of frozen chicken should be in the garbage instead of in a showcase. The fresh chicken and turkey wings, disgusting. I had bought a bottle of ketchup that had expired six months ago! What caught my eye when I took it out the bag was the fact that it looked maroon instead of red. When I returned it the manager said it wasn't a brand of theirs! It shouldn't matter, is anyone checking inventory for these things? The service sucks. The entire staff is in desperate need of training, starting with management. Never should an employee dealing with customers be allowed to be rude and disrespectful or to get into a confrontation or cursing match with a customer. Even the security sucks! Why is security paid to stand there looking down on his phone, what is he securing, his phone? Is the store like this because of poor management or no one cares because we are in the hood? Whatever the reason, we deserve better. Please have someone check into this ASAP. Thanks for taking the time to read my complaint.
cocoa dia cereal. & frty dia cereal
On June 14th, 2018 we purchased several items at Save-a-Lot, located at 1840 Bluffton Road, Fort Wayne Indiana 46809. Store Number 23662. Upon opening the item Cocoa Dia. Cereal we observed"ants" in this box of cereal. Immediately, we opened the box of Fruity Dia. Cereal and observed the same, "ants" in this box of cereal as well. In addition, while we were in the store, we observed in the meat department the ground beef were "spoiled" extremely brown in color. This is unacceptable. Several minutes of contemplation thought were to contact the Allen County Board of Health to file a complaint but chose NOT too but file complaint with Corporate Office.
meat department
Whenever there is a sale on steaks at the Hampton Virginia store on Kecoughtan Road the gentleman that works there is very rude when asked when will the steaks be put out? I don't care what time of day it is he always say we don't have anymore I honestly believe he and the other employees keep the meat for themselves that's on sale it's very tiring to go the distance to another Save-A-Lot store to get the meat that you want especially steaks! I hope you can look into this matter very soon! Thank you!
mcdaniels mocha iced coffee
I have been drinking this since the day it was introduced to the store. Loved the Mocha so much so that I began posting about the product and the smooth taste. I'm sickened to learn that McDaniels Mocha is now replaced with International Delights that is far off in taste compared to McDaniels & a .50 jump in price as well. Crazy that you would stop selling a product that I know was making it.Stop making the Vanilla & bring back the Mocha, it was selling off the shelf faster . Disappointed ti say the least.
mild cheddar cheese
I purchased a package of sliced mild cheddar cheese today. When I was home preparing my children's dinner I opened the package and there was green mold on it. The date on it says 05/14/2018. I called the store and spoke with a manager and he didn't seem concerned at all. Did not even apologize. I manage a food business myself and find this unacceptable.
