On Aug. 22, 2023, I attempted to purchase two orchestra level seats for Les Miserable in Spokane, WA. The tickets were put in the cart and accepted by me. However, the confirmation showed two balcony seats at the higher orchestra price.
Attempted contact with the company without success. Went on to pursue remedy through the credit card company. Initially, credit card company posted a credit, but I could not provide evidence the tickets had been switched – hard to do when you don’t own the site. SeatGeek showed I’d accepted the terms of service and THE tickets – no mention of the switch in seats. Given that the credit card company sent me back to the company to discuss.
Called number provided by credit card company on 26 Sep 23. Seatgeek company rep offered no options except to resell the tickets on their platform with a price nearly half that of the purchase and a 10 percent bonus for the company.
Fraudulent behavior and price gouging are words that come to mind in enduring this process.
Desired outcome: Refund/replacement
