I am a company driver out of Waco, TX . Last night (4-18-18 and 4-19-18) i was in Houston, Tx making my deliveries and noticed our stores were not flying flags at half staff as ordered by our president in respect for the passing of Mrs.Bush. I am hoping this is not some political statement of some sort. I have also seen some of our stores with worn and tethered flags that need replaced. As a company if we fly the American flag we should respect the American flag and comply with proper flag etiquette. If possible i would appreciate a response. I was recently told I would be made an offer for a promotion, however I would have to cover my tattoos to receive the promotion. I was hired with tattoos so they should not make a difference on me being promoted. This is descrimation at its finest. If I was gay I wouldn't be told I can only have a promotion if I cover up my sexuality. This is highly disappointing. I am a very ambitious and driven individual with unlimited potential so to be passed over on a promotion I deserve because of tattoos in 2018 is unbelievable, especially because my art work is not offensive in any way. I have personally fought this type of issue with other companies and had thier tattoo policy changed. I'll will be doing my best to shed some light on this type of situation with Sherwin-Williams so that the next individual they have with tattoos will be treated fairly with advancement opportunities. If I wasn't going to have fair opportunities for advancement due to tattoos or be forced to wear long sleeves year round and wear makeup on my neck I should've been made aware of that from the start before I was hired.

Dear Sherwin- Williams, A year and a half ago I noticed and was thrilled that Lowes sold your brand. I had a paint chips from Home Depot and asked Lowes to please match paint using your Sherwin- Williams brand they carry. I bought all of the exterior they had in stock to start painting my house. What they originally had in stock was not enough because I was getting three colors, one color for body of house, one color for trim and another color to paint some old rock trim. I went back in a week to buy more of this paint but they only had two gallons so I bought the two gallons. I realized they were not going to be able to supply enough paint in time for me to finish painting my house so I took a can of the Lowes Sherwin- Williams to my local Sherwin- Williams store. This store matched the paint beautifully and I bought enough to finish my house and three sheds. The body of the house had Lowes Sherwin- Williams on the front of house and the rest of the house was Sherwin- Williams paint I bought at the Sherwin- Williams store. About 6 months later we realized the front of the house had changed color. The color purchased is a rich creamy taupe but now the front of the house was a sort of army green. We examined the rest of the house and the original rich creamy taupe was holding its color. When the weather allowed I went back to Lowes to buy more paint. I asked if I could use another brand but did not tell them about my issue because I was not sure what caused the change in the color. They said I could not change brands. They said changing brands could cause problems so I purchased three gallons of Lowes Sherwin- Williams paint to put another coat on the front of my house but I did have enough to paint the eaves. I was pleased to see the color matched the rest of the house again but I left a spot unpainted on the face of the house to see if the color change would happen again. About four months later I could not find the unpainted spot I left because the color changed to the same army green. The rest of my house is still the color I purchased from the Sherwin Williams store. I am avoiding the confrontation at Lowes but the paint is fifty plus dollars a gallon and obviously I am doing the labor because I cannot afford to hire someone. I am sixty two years old and painting is getting more difficult. I have painted 5 other homes I lived in but now that I am older my brain thinks I can still do what I used to do ha ha ha but my body says ouch! Anyway enough moaning from me but I was wondering how I can be compensated to get more paint to paint the front of my house without a confrontation and without buying the Sherwin Williams paint Lowes sales. I did take pictures but I am not sure how to get them on my computer to send to you. The pictures are on my phone so I think if I have your email I know how to email them to you. Sherwin-Williams 25 year guarantee protects against peeling or blistering but nothing about changing color. I'd assume because there's the potential for any paint to fade over time. Being in Nevada, I'd guess you have a lot of sun, but I find it surprising that the color would change that dramatically and over such a short period of time. Part of what you pay for with the Sherwin-Williams brand is their level of expertise. I'd make use of it at this point.
Start by contacting them at their customer support number [protected]. If you can have photos prepared to send to them, both before and after, that would be helpful. Leaving a small portion unpainted was smart and you should be able to show that small portion as it was, surrounded by a new coat of paint and, then again after that coat had changed. I'd be interested to know what they say.

10.23.17 a woman employee at store took order over phone. My wife explicitly gave her 6126 for paint number and gave color name as Navajo White. When calling back, I spoke to man who said the other employee said we gave wrong number. Ok that was annoying. I told them it was not our mistake. The store replaced the paint for the correct color. When I came into the store the woman snippily said my wife gave wrong # and she needs to be more careful. Then she said "It's my fault for not asking for the color name." My wife even gave her the color name off of the web site.
I do not appreciate this nasty behavior and not admitting fault. She even intimated we were lucky to get the new paint switched out free of charge.
I have to use my valuable time to exchange her mess-up and really don't appreciate attitude when I have other things I could be doing. Customer service score: 0 out of 10

I overheard two employees discussing purchasing drugs- I was shocked- Does Sherwin Williams do drug Tests or do they allow the use and sell of drugs in their stores? I was in a store on south blvd in pineville- I hope someone looks into this its bad enough that a customer head this let alone it goes on. I thought Sherwin Williams had higher standards.

Was driving on interstate and semi proceeded on passing me about 80, cut me off and proceeded to swerve dangerously. I thought he had blown a tire but he had done this on purpose. I'm still not sure what caused it but he presented his middle finger several times and I don't feel comfortable supporting a product when there are reckless drivers who could have cause great bodily injury

I went to a Sherwin Williams store in Northville, MI over the past weekend (8/10/2017) upon entering the store there was a male sales person with a couple, he never acknowledge me in no form or fashion, never said hello, I'll be with you nothing we were standing next to each other so I waited until he had completed his service with the couple, he walked away went into his office, sat down and never came out, like never… I will go to another location, but never there. Horrible Costumer Service...don't want to say it was a race issue.. just want to say it was a issue.

I purchased two cans of paint in June from the sherwin Williams on national ave in west Allis Wisconsin. I do not remember the mans name but he specifically told me that I could return these cans of paint if I did not use them and as long as I did not change the color lighter or darker. These cans of paint have never been open and now I go to return them and I can't because they have been "tinted". Now the rep there is telling me that no one at his store would have told me that, so I'm basically making this up. I wouldn't drive out of my way to return paint if I was told I could not return it. I bought them I sale and I specifically remember him telling me that I can even return it after the sale has finished which was after July 4th 2017. This is misleading and now I have two cans of paint that I have never used.

I am not one to complain, but I have been to your store(Williamsport, pa) on countless occasions as I have always used Sherwin Williams paint and I am experiencing the same customer service issues. I was just there this past Friday and there was one gentleman who was taking care of every single customer in the store, and I would say that was about 15-20 people, while another worker of yours sat in the back office. And to top it all off I am think it is your Store Manager, Ken (which is even worse in my eyes). I am in sales and in this business customer service should be top priority. Every time I am in this store the same gentleman is in the back while the other store employees are working their tails off to attend to all the customers which half the time is more than they can handle. Like I said, I am not one to file complaints or get anyone in trouble, but after this has occurred more than a handful of times I think you need to be notified that your Store Manager is not doing his job.

I would like to file a complaint regarding the service provided by Wilson Choy, store manager located at 5798 Victoria Drive, Vancouver, BC, Canada. Suggested by Wilson, I purchased the paint for the garage floor on Aug 10, 2017. He told me that a mixer is needed to blend 2 paints before it can be applied. I expressed to him that I do not have a mixer. Then Wilson advised me to do it manually. 2 weeks after I painted the floor, I noted that part of the paint does not dry while some other part split. I went back to talk to Wilson. HE SAID IT IS MY OWN FAULT AND NOTHING HE CAN DO FOR IT. I was really upset and frustrated about his response. Then there came another staff assisted me to find the solution- rent a machine to remove the paint and re-do it. Eventually, I got the paint refunded (specifying " incorrect prep work by customer" on the refunded receipt) but no compensation on the labor and machine rental cost.
I am very disappointed about the service provided by your company. I doubt if Wilson is qualified to be a store manager with his lack of product knowledge, communication skills and accountability.
I will definitely share my experience with people I know and not recomend your company to anyone. Hope you can investigate the case to avoid further customers suffering from a similar situation.

I really feel like this needs to be brought to light. I come in with my husband typically on the weekends since its the only time we have off and we are trying to repaint our home. Every other weekend we come in there is only a part-time employee working, he has great customer service manners and always treat us with the utmost respect but due to his lack of tenured and experience he can only help us so far. Based off my understanding from others (not going to say whom if fear of them getting in trouble), the managers rotate weekends, and the assistant manager Corey or Chris I forget his name clocks in as though he is at work, but is never there leaving the young man to handle the store on his own. How is he suppose to obtain the knowledge needed to thrive and assist customers without guidance? This is completely unprofessional! You are loosing valued customers and paying a individual that doesn't even work. The part-time employee's charm will only go so far, if this isn't corrected soon you will continue to loose more customers, pay a lazy employee, and burn out the one person keeping most of your customers returning resulting in a loss in revenue!

I am upset with your manager in the el dorado Arkansas store. She was very rude to me and didn't ask me how I was doing and I was the next in line and she helped the customer after me. I am a small business owner and I expect to be treated like as if I was a huge company. I want action to be taken and her talked to about this. I always use sherwin williams paint but I will never use that store again. I will use Home Depot paint everytime when I am in that town while she is still manager

Manager Natalie was very rude and wouldn't come in from smoking for almost 10 mins and I'm pretty sure she was on drugs. I am a painting contractor and i will never use that store again while she is working for sherwin williams. I want her fired and sent to rehab honestly. And the way it looked to me she is having romantic relations with several other employees

There is a middle aged man who works at your Moon Township location at Thorn Run Crossing who's actions are unacceptable. I do not work for you but I work in the same plaza as your business. I was in the parking lot at work, in my car, a good 50 to 75 yards away from the store, when this man approached my car while I was smoking a cigarette. He said, "You dropped something" and threw a cigarette butt into my car. I did not talk to this man prior, threw a cigarette butt him or his vehicle. And then proceeded to walk away into work. I believe that this behavior is unacceptable for an employee of your company or any other company. I consider this behavior to be a form of discrimination and I will never purchase anything from your Thorn Run Crossing location ever again.
That's just it, I don't think I threw one out the window to be honest. I truly understand your point, but I don't think it's appropriate to throw things at a person or in their car. A simple "hey, you're not gonna pick that up that's littering?" would have be acceptable. I wasn't rude or anything prior I would have understood his actions but I'm a very kind person, I would have simply said "oh I'm sorry" and picked it up.
defective paint
I purchased Ovation HGTV Home Egg Shell paint for my bedroom. I applied one coat and realized it was going to take a second coat. I applied a second coat and the walls still looked terrible. There were shadows of white where the pant did not cover again. Some areas had a bit of lustre, but mostly overall it was flat and lacking depth and true color. The walls were originally white and I was covering with Classic Ivory...not a big difference.
I returned to the paint store tonight (Store [protected]) and was informed it was the lower priced paint (32.50/gal) and should expect it to not cover a well as their better higher priced paints. The young man went on to tell me that the paint was made to sell at Lowe's and they had so many complaints that Sherwin-Wiliams had to take it back and sell it in their stores at a reduced rate to get rid of it.
First of all, I was never told it was a lesser product. I felt like 32.50/gal was quite pricey compared to other paints. Second, I am a 58 year old woman who has spent the last few days (6 to be exact) of my summer vacation climbing up and down a ladder to paint an oversized bedroom with cathedral ceilings with an extension pole, as well. This was a very overwhelming job and to find out that it needs a THIRD coat made me cry. It just looks terrible.
I left my name at the store for the manager to come to my home to look at it today. He did not call. I went back to the store and he was gone for the day. They could not find the note I left on Saturday. That's when the clerk shared all the awful news with me about the paint. He said he would not recommend it to anyone! He wrote another note for the manager (Christian) to call tomorrow.
I am so very disturbed by this whole event. Its bad enough that after 6 days of painting I have a room that looks terrible, but the thought that another coat is needed and I have two days left of vacation to do it. I am asking for the cost of the pant to be reimbursed and an allowance to pay someone else to finish the job.

and they didnt have the paint...They called and told me to go the the other store on washington and durham st...When i got there...They end up saying they dont have..It.And for me to try another store further out...Its so hot and by now im fustrated...

Every time I buy this paint it's fish eyes.When it had the old labels on the bucket it was the best.its frustrating when you have to wait for it to tack up and the go back over it .I was wondering what is going on.I repaint apartment and houses and it slows me down when I have to go back .It only does it on the semi gloss haven't had any problems out of the other sheens

I'd think twice about buying paint at any Sherwin Williams store. I bought the most expensive product that's supposed to cover better than the less expensive brands. It took 5 coats to cover yellow! I called headquarters for help. They took my name and number and never called back. I called the store manager in Fresno at the Shaw Ave store and complained about the coverage and the spatter i experienced. He offered free tarp. I walked into the store and there was no record of my call nor any notes about the free tarp i was there to pick up. Staff refused to provide me the tarp. The manager Sal wasn't there. He could have left a note for staff. Don't shop here. Don't use their products. Dont expect good service. Buy Behr or any other paint product...from another store.

I received the following spam email with the following header today "How was your visit to Sherwin-Williams?". I have lived in Japan for over 30 years. I am originally from Canada. I have not set foot in America in almost a decade. Could someone please explain why I got this email? Is this either spam or a scam? The embedded survey seemed authentic enough. About 5 years ago I had a credit card and $500 stolen on a flight from Vancouver to Toronto. Could there be a connection? Would like to get this resolved. Also, booked a flight on Tripsta. Are they in anyway connected to Sherwin-Williams. Can't think of anything else.

deck paint
Bought deck paint July 17, 2015 with the limited lifetime warranty. By July 2, 2016 it was flaking and peeling off. Went to the store with original receipt to get replacement paint and was told managers were out until July 5th so they could do nothing for me and I would have to see the managers. They added I may need pictures of my deck and paint chip samples. They said all they could do for me now was sell me more paint. So I bought more paint and repainted the deck. I returned to the store on July 7th and I took pictures, paint chip samples and both my original receipt and the new receipt for replacement paint. I figured I would get a refund for the replacement paint I purchased. Wrong! Some young girl who was the manager told me they would send a salesman to my house to look at my deck and talk to me about it. All this crap for 2 gallons of deck paint for a total of $70.00? I looked up the warranty and it says nothing about pictures, paint chip samples or a salesman coming to my house in order for them to honor their printed and advertised warranty. The warranty clearly says they will refund the original price of the paint or offer replacement paint. This Dyer Indiana store manager did neither. Before you ask, yes, I prepped and power washed the deck surface and well as scraped, sanded and removed any old or loose old paint that was by the way, Sherwin Williams paint I had put on 8 years earlier. After spending a few thousand on house paint in the past and now having this warranty issue over a $70.00 deck paint and getting nothing but the run around I decided to be a smart consumer and not get screwed over by some little girl playing store manager so I contacted my credit card company and disputed the charge due to SW failure to honor their warranty. Guess what? I will win that dispute and not only will the store not get the $70.00 for the replace, met paint but they also will never get another bit of my business. Turns out there is a Benjamin Moore paint store nearby.
