Shiply Moving

Shiply provided a service - they sent me the information of a mover that Shiply claimed was verified and insured for $1,000,000. I paid a deposit to Shiply of $116 and so they issued me a Delivery ID: 9YBJK4BQV

On 6/13/2022 the driver of BossKingLLC come out to move us. We ended up shipping more than originally considered and they charged me $1290 for the move. The driver promised to deliver the items on 6/15/2022. He then said he had some issues and would delay until 6/21/2022. Then he said 6/23/2022. His phone was disconnected on 6/23/2022.

Shiply has provided NO support. They now claim they are not a shipper and cannot help me. They took my deposit and stated this shipper was verified and insured for $1,000,000.

Desired outcome: Shiply should pay for the shipping $1290 plus the missing items - I have detailed list of approximately $10,000.00

Shiply Shiply moving 2 vehicles interstate

Booked with shiply.com to transport 2 vehicles. Accepted a quote after clarifying some questions from a company “A-southern-transport” was contacted by them and asked if the vehicles were ready I confirmed they were. Was told it might take a few days to get a driver to transport the vehicles… alright no problem… after a week of no response I sent a message, called A-southern-transport left a message, and no response. Filed a ticket with shiply’s ticket system was told if I didn’t hear anything in 24 hours to follow up with it. I did. Filed another report to shiply with a different link on their site. Left my phone number and requested a call back. That has been a couple days now. No phone number on their site went to the credit card company looking to file a dispute on the charge. Found their actual number, Been on hold almost half an hour from position 2 to position 1 in their phone queue and reading the horrors here… may only be out $160 deposit but I’m gonna fight to get it back thank goodness I haven’t let them handle my vehicles. Will be looking elsewhere hopefully shiply will help me resolve it if not going to dispute the charge with the credit card company. Lesson learned.

Shiply Car?

Hello

I have had a total nightmare with Shiply.

I listed, in February, a car to be collected from Middlesborough to go to Castlerea in Ireland. I then, on the 14th, said that it was to change and go from Edinburgh pickup with delivery still in Ireland.

The person accepted the change, spoke to the collection person, organised everything and then, with two days to go, told me that he would be charging me more money - but not actually how much!

Because of not knowing how much, and because he had accepted the job KNOWING the changes - and had had several opportunities to change his mind (I told both people bidding on the job in a message, he went ahead the other said he couldn't do it) - I decided that I would cancel him because I had an external quote for the same price and so I decided I would be happier to go with him as he had always been the same price. (Regardless of it being Middlesborough or Edinburgh).

On 1st March I was told that I was going to be refunded my £236 within 5 days.

I waited patiently for 2 weeks and then, when there was no money refunded into my bank account, I contacted the customer service department who told me that there had been a "technical issue" with my refund - and it hadn't been processed - and so they were going to do it again.

Rather disappointingly, that then took another 5 days - when all I got was an email informing me that they had processed it and that it would take OVER 10 DAYS to reach my bank account.

Frankly, I had been expecting it to be refunded to my bank within the first 5 days.

Given that this was not, at any stage, my problem, I was then very disappointed with this as it means that I have been without access to these funds for an entire month and this is now an issue as I do have a monthly payment which goes out of that account, but expecting my money to be refunded before now, I spent money on some gifts for people - and now haven't got the money for that payment which is due on 24th. I mean though, one would expect being promised a refund on the 1st of the month, that it would be resolved long before the 24th wouldn't you!

At no stage have I even been issued an apology. At no stage have they taken any action against the person who left it to the last minute to claim that they must have more money - no doubt thinking that he had backed me into a corner that I had no choice but to accept. At no stage have they offered me any compensation. I was, against my wishes, told that they had put up another advert - but that was in February and I was very very clear on 1st March that I did not wish to have another advert but that I wished to have my deposit back.

I was given a postal address for the CEO with his name, but when I asked for an email I was ignored.

I did point out that there was a way that they could have just pressed a button for an urgent payment into my bank even at this stage to ensure that I had my money before the entire month was taken up by this - but again, I was totally ignored and told that it was up to the bank (which is a total lie having worked in finance before!)

I don't know what you can do about it - but I really would appreciate even my money to be returned to me before over 10 days - I do think that it's already a very long time - and over 10 days makes it over one whole month...

Shiply Trying to get a deposit refund

Cancelled a job due to a family emergency and "Seb" from customer service stated that I would receive an email with a link to sort out a refund.

Got nothing!

So emailed back saying that I got nothing in the form of that email. Still waiting for a response from whoever reads it and the above mentioned email.

Plus, "Seb" relisted the job when I didn't need it anymore! As I asked for my deposit back.

Shiply Shipping Service

I listed an inquiry with 6 boxes and 2 other small items. After not receiving any quote, Shiply recommended me to pay for a featured listing (urgent). I paid for it and just got a quote from Euro LKW taking advantage of the "urgent" feature with a price of over 4600 British Pounds!

Very abusive.

Finally I decided to use TNT service, which charged me 660 EUR for the same route and items, including an insurance as well. That's more like the standard price for the baggage and distance.

Desired outcome: Reimburse of the paid fee and sanction to the transporters, delisting them.

Shiply Harley shipment

Shiply.com gets quotes, they may or may not even be real business quotes but rather made up. They take a fee from you which they never return. I believe this is what they do to earn money most of the time. They may follow thru with a real shipper occasionally to keep their scam going. Please stay away from them. Their system is like a bait and switch setup. They can create a fictitious shipper, make it appear you have a shipper and then there is no contact from the fictitious outfit the created. They collect their fee for nothing and keep it. Pretty easy money and straight forward con and fraud.

Shiply Transporter was unable to fulfil the job and shiply won't refund

I put a job on the Shiply website to transport a handmade kitchen & some bedroom furniture from Ireland to France. After a slow start a few quotes came in. I interacted with one driver who had a price that looked reasonable and who appeared to already know the area the furntiute was to be delivered to.

After a bit of to-and-fro on delivery dates, I (via Shiply) on 6th November paid a deposit to book the job (over 500 euros for collection on 9th November). The driver then promptly came back to say he could no longer honour that price as he had already left Ireland and would need to pay to return to Ireland to pick up the goods making the job unfeasible for him.

At this point, I had a customer in France waiting for furniture, folks lined up to help unload the furniture on arrival (access to the property is tricky, so that had to be prearranged) and therefore no time to go through the rigmarole of awaiting new quotes through Shiply at the risk of being let down again.

Having talked to people around me at the time I uncovered someone else locally who would be willing to make the trip within the time I needed so I took this option and the furniture was collected on Wednesday 10th November of this week.

Since the Shiply website clearly states that a refund is no problem I had no reason to assume this was not the case.

The site clearly says:

"It's a straightforward process and we'll just ask a few questions about what went wrong.

Please note it can take up to 10 working days for refunds to appear on your card statement. We will also send you an email once the refund has been issued, to keep you in the loop."

I reached out to customer support to explain what happened and to request a refund; but now - after the furniture has been collected and is already in transit, I discover that Shiply is requesting a ‘Proofy' photo of my goods to prove they have not moved. Well - the goods have moved, not by Shiply or the driver who accepted the job through the Shiply website, but they have moved, the driver who accepted the job initially will corroborate this I am sure. But the fact is I can no longer can take a photo. I had not been informed that my deposit would be withheld since it was over a certain value and that I would be required to submit specifc photos taken by a specific app if the delivery was to no longer go ahead for any reason, so how can these become real and justifiable demands now?

Every time I reach out to customer support, I meet the same standard response...

As advised, we are unable to process your refund without the required Proofy photo as per company policy, due to the high value nature of the deposit amount. We cannot assist you any further without this unfortunately.

shiply's alleged driver/shipper did not show up to pick my motorcycle from Manhattan to be delivered to Massachusetts. The site charged onto card $65 and as soon as it got paid, i got an immediate request to pay the balance to the trucker directly $250 using CashApp. I obliged and as soon as i paid up the trucker, shiply then sent me a message that "i should not pay the trucker until the job is complete!" The trucker sent me one text message indicating he had no idea of this job! I opened a compaint ticket i was not responded to in the stipulated 6hrs. I checked on the complaint ticket today and it is closed even when i have not been contacted to resolve the issue.

Communications have since seized.

My bike is sitting tight in my garage. My money $315 is gone.

NEVER USE THIS shiply Website. ITS A TRAP.

Shiply Shiply didn’t act properly and driver stole my money

On October 29 I had bid that accepted to find a driver ship my boat. I saw two unauthorized payment $110and $85 but at that time I didn't know but I saw messages came $110 charged I contacted Karen support team to cancel the bid but he never replied back all conversations was via email. Now I saw at the same time shiply charged me another payment of $85.
After that on Nov 2 someone gave me offer and I accepted. Shiply sent driver contact number. I didn't contact him but he none stop called me and texted me.
He said I can transfer your boat on Nov 10 but if you want I'll do it tomorrow Nov 3 if you pay $1200 deposit now. He said I'm certified insured licensed driver through Shiply.
I paid $1200 via Zelle and after that he disappeared and never replied back.
I sent email to shiply and repot him and said you have to suspend his license but shiply replied: we will do act when the driver will do something wrong few times in short period of time!
I said he stole my money and 2 days before me he stole another person money still you wanted to wait?!
They sent me his address that it's not match in google maps.
Shiply just answered very late and acted improperly and didn't have enough information about driver.
Shiply has to give me and other people who were victims and lost money because of their lack of proper act and on time.

Shiply Transporter cant complete job but shiply won't refund

Shiply charge a very large fee for putting their customers in contact with transport companies. I was quoted £1604 to transport some belongings from France to Ireland. After paying a "deposit" of £404 it became clear that this was Shiplys' fee and not a deposit. The balance of £1200 (the actual cost of the transport) had to be paid to the transport company.
On the day of the collection the driver was unwilling to load the vehicle, so I loaded it myself. He quickly became concerned about the weight of the load although, no previous weight limit was outlined and I had from the beginning declared the requirement for the transport of 20m3 of boxes and furniture. The driver made several excuses including apparently losing his wallet and going to the police station to declare his papers lost: He was unable to complete my delivery but the drivers' boss told me over the phone that he would send another driver the following day to complete the job. The following day I received a message from the transport boss saying they were unable to complete my job and I had to unload their van within 3 hours!
I sent messages via the Shiply website to document what was happening and the transport company confirmed the details. I contacted Shiply and asked for a refund on the basis that the transporter was unable to do the job. I was told "We act purely as a neutral venue through which users and transport providers can meet and enter into their own agreements." I was told that my 'account' would be credited with the £404 and I could use this money at anytime within the next 2 years. I declined saying that I wanted a refund not credit. The Shiply represetative replied saying
"That's no problem, I'm sorry to hear of this issue but I'd be happy to process that for you.
I have sent you a separate email in order for you to file your cancellation request and receive your refund.
Simply click the link in that email and fill out the form. Refunds are issued within 5 working days and must be requested within 28 days of quote acceptance."
I dutifully clicked the link and requested my refund on June 2nd. This morning, June 22 I still had no refund and no correspondence so, I emailed Shiply again.
Someone called Seb replied saying
"As this is a high value deposit we require evidence that the move hasn't happened. Please can you send us a Proofy photo of your apartment." I explained that this was ridiculous nobody had previously asked me for photos. I don't know what they want me to take photos of and can't see what proof these photos would offer. After several emails of me asking for a refund and being told I need to send a proofy photo, Seb replied saying
"As previously mentioned, we are unable to process any refund until the Proofy photos have been received.

The items I wanted to transport were never in my home, some assumptions have been made that I live in an apartment and these things were from my apartment. In any case a photo from the interior of any apartment or home wouldn't prove anything. The messages between the transporter and me during the 2days of loading and unloading as well as photos of the vehicule being unloaded in the road however, should be more than sufficient.
If you could contact Shiply and question their appauling logic I would be extremely grateful and if you can encourage them to recompensate me for the money they've taken and witheld from me as well as the signifiicant amount of time lost through this experience I would be eternally grateful.

I hope you got a resolution to this.

Seb seems to be the only person Shiply have answering the phone there. He denies this though. I’ve called many times. One courier has a chair of mine that was due for delivery in May but wasn’t delivered. Seb eventually admitted he wouldn’t be doing anything about it. On chasing again this month, he has also given me the address of their CEO. Same address as you’ve been given but a different CEO it seems - name is Gavin Alexander.
I’ve emailed Seb asking for Mr Alexander’s email address, but not heard back. Why give a postal address? Beyond frustrated.

Did you get any resolution to this? I am experiencing the exact same issue for a similar value deposit paid for a job that never went ahead due to the driver defaulting on his initial quote.

Shiply Transport providers - shiply

Be aware of Shiply. When things go wrong, Shiply provides no support and refuse to step in when things go sideways. Shiply states:
"We are not involved in the actual transaction between users and service providers. Consequently, we have no control over the quality, safety, or legality of the transactions themselves. Although every care is taken to verify the identity of service providers Shiply does not guarantee, prequalify or validate the claims of drivers related to their license, insurance or
certification."
This means Shiply does not verify transport providers credentials or posted information in their bio.
Recently had motorcycle transported. The bio information provided no data that the quote came from a broker, using 3rd party transporters. Also, the quote didn't mean anything and after picking up the bike, increased quote by hundreds of dollars. BE VERY CAREFUL when viewing the quote. Especially the + taxes. My provider added "shipping fees" under the guise of "taxes", when the quote NOTE: clearly states that + taxes and no other fees. SHIPLY DOES NOT HOLD THE TRANSPORT PROVIDER ACCOUNTABLE TO THEIR QUOTE. They view it as a starting point for negotiation.
In my case the transport provider used 2 other transport companies for delivery of the motorcycle, and I could not communicate with the transportation companies at all. The transport provider broker was nyawyentruoc on Shiply. I also had communication problems due to linguistics, getting different answers between oral and written information.

Shiply Ripped off by both shiply and their courier

Sickening experience. Found a courier on Shiply. Asked courier repeatedly if he could take the item, he insisted he could, I even gave him exact measurements. Shiply took deposit, then courier insisted on a deposit. Courier then insisted on half payment for the job. Courier goes to pick item up, item doesn't fit. Courier said he will hire van, I said ok, courier takes money for hire van. Courier sends photo of item not fitting on to so called hire van, that appeared to be well over 15 years old. Courier goes home. Shiply contacted, Shiply said they are not responsible for their courier's, courier took no responsibility, now raising small claims against both Shiply and courier. Disgusting service. Shiply say I shouldnt have paid him, excuse me but you are happy for the couriers to do as they wish but then customers have no comeback? Trying to find couriers details to launch small claims, along with Shiply.

Shiply Car transport

I booked the collection of a car through shiply and specified the next day as the required transport date

I accepted a bid and paid the deposit. Then the transport provider emailed me to say that they couldn't do the date I had put on the quote form. He said Shiply didn't pass him that information

I emailed Shiply asking for a refund which they refused and gave me a credit. I insisted on a refund and they sent me a "refund request form" - it's been 5 days and they still haven't done anything

Almost same problem happened to me, to the difference the transport provider wasn't able to honor the pricing they had originally submitted and where trying to add a charge of 1500 CAD for gaz and insurance.

Shiply Car shipping

I went to shiply to move my car and they introduced me to a fake company that stole $800 from me. When I called Shiply to report this and ask for a solution to moving my car ASAP as I was about to start a new job to on the other side of the country they told me there was nothing they could do for me and that I should create a new listing on their site to find an alternative moving company. So not only did they not help me move my vehicle after introducing me to a scam, they also offered zero help or refund for the money that was stolen from me. I'm shocked this is how they operate and treat their customers.

Shiply Quotes

After receiving a quote four times the amount of others I'd received I questioned as much with the Shiply agent. He then claimed I was a "jumped up [censored]" so I'm guessing they aren't the reputable and helpful organisation they claim to be. Glad I discovered this before forking over thousands, especially after I've now read so many horror stories about them.

Shiply They just walk away if there is a problem

I used shiply to find a transport company to transport an antique table which had cost me £89. The freight company had quoted £73 to transport it.

The table was damaged in transit - a repair would cost £120

The transport company quoted 'terms and conditions' and offered £89 (the cost of the table) 'take it or leave it' and no refund of the freight cost. The damaged table is unusable - so I have been left £73 out of pocket.

The big disappointment for me is that shiply have simply walked away - telling me that it's between me and the transport company. Clearly they do not have a service level agreement between them and their transport companies to ensure an acceptable level of customer service.

Shiply tell me that I must make a judgement based on the feedback score of the transport company involved (their clever algorithms calculate this) - in the case of this transport company 94.1%.

But what does this feedback score of 94.1% actually mean? Does it mean that this is a great transport company company with a vast majority of satisfied customers - or does it mean that just 94.1% of the shipments get through unbroken so only 5.9% of customers go on discover that the insurance cover offered is inadequate?

Shiply - it is time for you to review your lists of 'approved' transport companies and implement a service level agreement that leaves your clients confident that they are protected if they choose a shiply approved transport company

Shiply Parcels collected, never seen since

A courier selected from Shiply collected 10 x parcels, but were never delivered.

Shiply have totally stonewalled me even though I have had to report this matter to the police.

I am concerned about Shiply’s lack of due care as it appears that the ‘Vetting’ process is not thorough, and they have never asked me for the value or contents of the missing parcels.

A Registered and witnessed letter to the MD plus numerous requests for a response from a company director has resulted in ….silence.

Please don't hold your breath for any sort of response from SHIPLY to show that they feel any responsibility for an ineffective vetting process which allows FRAUDSTERS to bid for work on their site and take your money and or goods.
I reported my case to ACTION FRAUD who involved the POLICE who informed me that the FRAUDSTER who bid via SHIPLY is appearing in COURT and that FALSE ADDRESSES feature in the case. SHIPLY gave me a FALSE ADDRESS for the FRAUDSTER which meant I could not take a SMALL CLAIMS ACTION against the Courier. CITIZENS ADVICE have advised me to write formally to SHIPLY setting out why I think they NEGLIGENTLY DID NOT VET THE COURIER as a result of which I HAVE LOST MONEY BY USING SHIPLY'S 'SERVICES' FOR WHICH I PAID A FEE. This is a precursor to referring the case to TRADING STANDARDS.
As yet I HAVE HEARD NOTHING FROM SHIPLY. No surprises there then. While I have lost about £250 I feel immense sympathy for anyone who has in addition lost goods. Many of these people appear in forums such as this but so far SHIPLY HAS AVOIDED ASSISTING ANYONE WHO HAS LOST MONEY OR GOODS BY PLACING THEIR TRUST IN THEIR FIRM WHO HAS SUFFERED BECAUSE OF AN INEFFECTIVE VETTING PROCESS.
