Owner of Alexandria, Ontario location
A new member of our community needed to get a covid test but because he was symptomatic, they wouldn't let him come into the store or allow him to pick it up. He had registered online, got a call, returned it, and was told to call the Alexandria location. He did, spoke to someone, then confirmed that he had someone to pick up the test for him. That person...

I felt so bad today telling my Shoppers pharmacist I was switching my prescriptions to Rexall. I cannot, however, do business with this company. Profiteering during a pandemic is repugnant. Charging $40 for rapid antigen tests that should be free or affordable to the public. Nauseating. Doing symptomatic testing in store and putting staff and customers at risk. Repellent. Ill never step foot in one of your stores again. And this is easy choice to make. Your competitors, like Rexall, are always in the vicinity. Remember that.
Yours sincerely
A former customer.

Cashier
This afternoon at Shoppers at Scott and Niagara, I was purchasing a few items, including a higher end cream from the beauty area. Knowing these generally have security tags, I went to the cashier who told me I had to use self checkout. She wasn't open. So I did. Once I was finished, I left and the alarm went off. She quickly said ‘I need your bags and receipt. You didn't scan everything'. I was shocked. I pulled out the Elizabeth Arden cream and said that it was likely that product. She grabbed it and demanded my receipt, which I had to wait for because I chose to have it emailed to me. Once it came up she took my phone and went through everything on it. People were staring. It was humiliating. She was so condescending towards me, despite being co-operative. When she realized that I had infact paid for everything in my bag, she tossed it towards me and said ‘I guess you did scan it' I ran out in tears. I have never been so humiliated. Nor have I ever been accused of anything.
I can't ever show my face in that store again. Nor would I want to.

Our prescription is for 2 bottles of a medication once a month for 3 refills. For some reason they entered it into their system as 6 refills and will only give us one a month. One bottle does not last a month. Each time we go we explain this and they refuse to help Each time they talk to our doctor and the doctor explains we should get 2 bottles each...

Read full review of Shoppers Drug MartFlu vaccine
the Shopper's Drug Mart advertisements about the yearly flu vaccine are issuing blatantly false information.
The advertisement says "... the flu shot is your best defense against the flu."
You don't need to be a doctor to know a humans "best" defense against the flu is THE HUMAN IMMUNE SYSTEM.
Shopper's Drug Mart needs to STOP LYING to their customers (the Canadian people).
Desired outcome: stop saying the flu vaccine is "your best defense" against the flu. The flu shot may be a defense, but it is MOST DEFINITELY NOT our "best" defense.

I got a $100 Amazon Gift card that was purchased on August 1, 2021. It had been glued back into the cardboard packaging in such a way that you really couldn't tell there was anything wrong. I was shopping in store going down almost every aisle just killing time and also taking my time to compare products, prices, etc, and all of a sudden a blonde woman employee I had not seen the entire time shopping begins to "slowly creep" behind me in the store, constantly looking into the basket I was carrying. I thought nothing of it at first but then it...

I redeemed 200000 points at check out but error occur, the order was not completed but points were missing. I filed this issue for 2 weeks and no one follow up. They promised me to solve this in 5 business days, and no answer. I don't think this is software issue, they just don't want me to use the bonus points. Garbage business, cheating! I need my money back!

Pharmacists
It makes me sick to my stomach how much these people are allowed to get away with in terms of treating people terribly, the most heinous and rude customer service I have ever witnessed in my life and they know they can get away with it as this is an essential service. Disgusting.

Shoppers Drug Mart - Ridgetown Ontario
I've been a customer of Shoppers for over 30 years and was previously the Director of Care for a Retirement and Long Term Care home in Ridgetown. I'm currently a Regional Director of Wellness for the GTA area.
I've had many interactions with shoppers over the years with no complaints up until today.
I called the pharmacy in Ridgetown Nov 3rd to get my prescription filled and it was brought to my attention that I had no refills and that they would contact my physician for a renewal.
I went into the pharmacy today to pick up an other prescription and during this time I asked if they were able to get ahold of my physician as per the renewal of the prescription.
I was told that that this could take 5 to 7 days - so asked if I could speak to the pharmacist. Apparently I was speaking to the pharmacist by did not notice her name tag.
I was rudely spoken to by the this pharmacist whom I've never met before. She stated in a rather harsh voice "I'm wearing a white coat - I am the pharmacist" I proceeded to ask if it were possible to get a couple pills until the prescription was filled. She stated that this medication was not an "essential med" I'm assuming what she meant was it wasn't on a list of approved essential medication like heart, diabetic meds ect…
The medication is a sleeping pill and last prescription was filled October 5th.
I told the lady pharmacist "with the white coat" that I had enough medication left to last another 2 day and she mentioned I should have more then that. Making me feel like I was lying.
I did call my physician's office while I was at the pharmacy and they said they would send the prescription over by end of day.
The lady pharmacist in the "white coat" had a very rude and sharp tone. I know that times are stressful but I was made to feel like my request was putting them out and that they would get to it when they can.
I'm contemplating changing pharmacy's as a result. She was rude, unprofessional and definitely zero customer service.
Thanks,
Front cashier
I was shopping at Shoppers Drug Mart on King street in Brockville, Ontario. I was standing in line when a lady at the cash had forgotten an item. I was 2 inches from the circle to wait in. the cashier rudely instructed to stand on the circle, no one in front of me now behind me. She then muttered something under her breath to the customer in front of that...

I owned the above for about 2-3 years but the screen display does not work (invisible) even after I changed the battery. I was told by your store in Coquitlam BC that the product is guaranteed by life. Hence I phoned your office and was given a case number - #[protected]. The staff that answered the phone also told me she would refer the matter to her manager who will get back to me regarding replacement. It has been about 2 weeks since and I have not heard from anyone yet. My phone number is [protected]. Email:

Unethical behavior
I visited the store on 3012 17th Avenue, SE Unit #5 today the 9th of October, 2021. I bought 3 items, Mrs. Potato Head, Orajel and Johnson's body wash for kids. I avoid using self checkout as much as possible to prevent any form of embarrassment. I got to the counter and there was nobody manning the station. I waited a few seconds and decided to use self checkout. I did so, put my items in my backpack and left. As I was leaving, the lady at the check out point came back, and as soon as i tried to step out, an alarm went off. She ran towards me and asked for the items I bought. I was embarrassed. I emptied my backpack of all items immediately and she said an item I bought had a sticker on it that required some form of processing. I was very upset and asked why she had not stopped any other person but me. Another staff came up to help and stated the sticker on the item needed to be processed. He took me back to the self check out and showed me how to scan the sticker. I asked for his name. Right before leaving, an older man standing at the check out point made this remark: They are regulars here aren't they? And gave me a look. The checkout guy knowing what the man meant but also knowing I had done nothing wrong mumbled an embarrassed response. I felt really bad. I had done nothing wrong.
I went back after 30 minutes and asked to speak with the manager. I explained to the manager how embarrassed and angry I was. He stated the same thing about the sticker.
I asked how I was supposed to know a little sticker on some of the items i bought had to be scanned. I have visited Shoppers drugmart at various locations thousands of times, and I never had to scan a sticker. I also asked what steps have been taken to inform customers on how to look for and scan the stickers, rather than wait till they are about to leave and have an alarm triggered as though you did not just pay for the items. He looked at me and gave no response.
Issues: He kept cutting me off without letting me fully explain. He went ahead to tell me I was not letting him explain, even though i had not fully explained why I was upset. I told him about how the lady had not communicated properly and made me feel worse, and he shrugged it off and said it was just miscommunication. He was defensive through out the whole interaction and i left even more upset. He did not engage in active listening to understand my complaints and refused to acknowledge the emotions of anger, embarrassment and sadness that I felt. I went into that store happy and came out angry and embarrassed. Why can't customers be educated on how the little stickers need to be sorted out before leaving. Why wasn't there any employee close to the self check out or regular check out points for over 2 minutes. The manager kept making excuses that the employees had to go an attend to other customers in the store. Stating that as the reason the checkout points had no employees close by. Not one word of apology was given, all i got were defensive excuses. Yes you do have your processes, but if those processes result in a customer having a bad experience at any store, then something needs to be done.
I bought items, paid for everything and still got treated as though I had done something wrong. That is not fair

First of all I just want to state that I'm exempt from wearing a mask, I have a medical card in my purse but no one ever asked because as most people are aware it is against the law.
