pharmacy
So this pharmacy knows that a specific individuals life is dependant on a specific drug aka that's why they have a doctor working there and a doctor telling them someone is in serious need of this specific drug. Well for the 4th time in a row I'm stuck without my medication or anything that it can be used to substitute because they failed to order the medication on time
hair dye
Three days after buying hair dye from the store, I tried to use it. I say 'tried' because the product was obviously old & outdated. Instead of the color coming out of the tube in a nice, easy flow - I had ro squeeze SO hard, it started rupturing the tube. The next day I tried to take it back to the store. I say 'tried' again because both the clerk & the manager refused to do anything for me without a receipt. They could have replaced the box with some other hair dye. Instead they lost a 'valued' customer all over the sake of $12.
Pharmacy - overcharged for a prescription
I have been working with the owner of the Toronto Cabbagetown pharmacy (Doug Chow; store 0833) for 9 months now, on a prescription that I was overcharged by close to $800. Just last week, the owner informed me that Shoppers would not refund me the amount that I had overpaid. I have been told that there is nothing that they can do about this, even though Doug Chow (the owner) acknowledged that the cost had in fact gone down by over half on the day PRIOR to me filling the prescription. However, since the pharmacy had simply not gotten around to adjusting the unit price that the customer is charged in the system, I am now left holding the bag.
I spend literally thousands of dollars EVERY YEAR at the pharmacy, and in spite of being promised several times that I would be compensated, and stringing me along for close to a year (and I visited the pharmacy dozens of times during this time) - clearly waiting for me to "forget about it, " - I was finally told that I wouldn't be compensated.
This is completely unacceptable, and runs counter to the claim of customer service that your brand purports to represent.
The details of the prescription are:
RX # 9457562
Name: Blair Ariel Misha Magil
Cost: $1534.44
Amount recovered: $759.77
The prescription was dispensed on November 7th. On November 6th, the prescription cost dropped by over ½, and that is what ClaimSecure compensated me at. According to Doug (the owner), since I didn't use the electronic service to submit to benefits, there was nothing that he was willing to do. I was unable to use an electronic submission, since at that point I wasn't working and had to manually submit to my spouse's benefits provider.
Needless to say, I am furious, and ClaimSecure will be following up on their own. Please note that if I am not compensated for these lost funds, I will simply refill the prescriptions I have in your system, but I will NEVER step foot in ANY Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy again - and I will encourage everyone I know to steer clear. By my calculation, in the past year myself and my spouse (Antonio Valletta) have spent approximately $13, 000. I suspect that in the coming years, that pace of spending will not be dropping.
As far as I'm concerned, you have committed theft - and whether you are "technically" covered by whatever accounting or inventory system you have in place - everyone at the pharmacy has acknowledged that Shoppers Drug Mart has essentially profited by an obscene degree on a medication which I need in order to continue living. The fact that your company has known for almost a full year about this, and continually strung me along, when clearly there was never any intention of compensating me, only adds salt to the wound. I am a very busy person, working full time at a Bay Street law firm. I don't have time to constantly chase after people who call themselves professionals, but are nothing more than glorified crooks.
I expect resolution of this matter within the next two weeks; feel free to contact me by telephone at [protected]. If this isn't resolved, I will be escalating to the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
Thank you,
Ariel Magil

An employee (Caucasian) called the security guard on my visibly ethnic boyfriend because he was lost and looked lost, as he was looking for me at the store. The security guard then followed him and continued to do so even after the situation was apparent to him that he was looking for me and he found me. Then he started getting closer to my boyfriend and I, eavesdropping on our private conversation, watched us kiss and hug unaware of him. Then I go to checkout and realize he is follow me and leaving no room for personal space, he could see me use my card, he could see my items and when I noticed and asked him to please not stand so close to me and we have done nothing wrong he failed to oblige. I need to mention that to alert the guard she didn't go up to him and speak instead she made a loud PA announcement and both her and the security guard handled the situation very horribly and it seems very targeted because they would not stop staring at us despite the situation being obvious that he was looking for me then found me. So basically my very harmless and mind you defenseless boyfriend who just wanted to get out of there because he was uncomfortable and didn't want to cause any trouble was racially profiled and I suffered from the same invasion of personal space as a result.
Now what are the steps are you taking as a company to fix this?
sour coffee cream
On My roommate purchased 4 one litre cartons of coffee cream at this location. We still had some in an open carton in the fridge so we did not open it until the next day. Despite being well before the expiry date, I opened the first one the next morning and wasted my cup of coffee because the cream was sour. I opened the next one and smelled it first only...

I went to go get my prescription injection from pharmacy. They told me to wait for 20 mins. After 20 mins they told me that they don't have it in stock and they can order it for me the next day. I had to get injection the same day but I decided to wait until the next day. They told me that they would give me a call once it arrived. 2 weeks later I got no...
Read full review of Shoppers Drug Martscanning code of practice
Bentley one month ago I purchased an item at the store. The shelf sale tag told me it was $4.99. When I got to the front it's scanned at $7.99. When I mentioned the scanning code of practice in Ontario they told me it was not applicable in this case because the tag that had been left was from last week. I work in retail and I know that any advertised price, regardless of the date on the tag is applicable to the scanning code of practice. it is not the job of the consumer to look at the date on the tag it is the job of the store to ensure the tag was taken down.
I had no idea. I waited to speak to the owner couple of weeks later and she reiterated the same thing insisting that shoppers drug Mart loss prevention told them that the date on the tag was expired therefore didn't apply.
Before I go any further up the chain I wanted to find out from you exactly what it is you're scanning code of practice is. There shouldn't be a question about it it should be the one that's advertised.
The information on the scanning code is here https://www.retailcouncil.org/scanner-price-accuracy-code/
service and attitude of cashier
August 18, 2019 at 8:56 PM
I was at the cashier checking out my items and the woman who works there had the most distasteful attitude. I had my optimum points card on my phone as a e-card and it wouldn't scan. Instead of helping me, she kept asking me to turn up the brightness. When this didn't work, she became irritate and inpatient and just said "you can come back anytime to do this." I proceeded to try to get it to scan and I finally made it work. She stood there being useless and continued to act impatient because there was a line waiting. She clearly hates her job and has a horrible attitude towards customers. Please provide her with some more training because she just made my experience at Shoppers horrible. I will not be going to this location anymore.

complaint about store owner mina fahim
My husband and I come into this location everyday because it is closest to home, we get our prescriptions filled here as well as buy groceries sometimes and makeup. We were recently told that we are now not allowed to purchase anything in the store and can only come in for our perceptions. Their reasoning is because they accused us of opening perfume witch was already open this has made us feel very embarrassed and unwelcome

I'm sick and tired of staff rudely telling customers they can't check their lottery tickets properly at the register. Umm. Yes I can! Staff told customers they have to check them at the little scanner. That is absolutely false! I have the right to get a receipt showing my ticket is either a winner or non-winner. Train your staff better! Just lazy!
Pharmacy
On or about Wednesday August 7 2019 I went into store #1251 in Newcastle Ontario to pick up my girlfriends prescription. Upon going up to the pickup counter I was approached by a pharmacy technician who proceeded to hand my girlfriend and I a prohibition trespassing order in which stated that I and my girlfriend are not to enter the store or pharmacy...

i walked in a shopper at fairview mall. they put their clear out for hairties at 12for12.99 after pick up a few i went to the counter and asked if u dont have 12 on the rack can i just get these 7 pack. the the associated looks confuse then call another the person to come out and say its 2.99 each and said i can only get one at 2.99 each. they said its not suppose to be like that and i have to accept the term at 2.99 or none at all. this is so rude she practically refuse to sell it to me at the sticker price they made a mistake on. its one thing its just 1 product but this is like 7-8of them. iam seriously piss. i know legallly they suppose to sell it at their sticker price
The items are clearly priced. Either you purchase 12 packages at the discounted price, or you pay the clearly posted single price. This is not a negotiation. It doesn't matter if you want one, or 7, or 8, and not 12. So what's your problem? I am a consumer from hell when it comes to being charged more than I should be. I am not a fan of Shoppers, and some of the games they play. However, in this situation Shoppers is clearly correct in their pricing policy, and its application. The fact that there was not 12 available for you to purchase, I will agree is vexing. And, I believe some reasonable accommodation should have been found; like prorating the price (Price for 12 divided by 12, then multiplied by the number of items remaining in their inventory- 7 as displayed.) However, and I am not a lawyer, I can see no legal reason that would compel them to prorate their price. And, though priced, Shoppers is still not under any legal obligation to sell them to you at the posted price. This fact, is brought to light through complicated contract laws that exist in Canada with respect to the offering of goods in a retail environment. I wish there was a concise way to explain this without resorting to all kinds of legal jargon. Again, I am not a lawyer, but have been assured common perceptions, about how sales between customers and stores work in Canada, are woefully misunderstood by most consumers.
In viewing the signs, I am unaware if there is a difference in colour between "SALE" tags, and "REGULAR" price tags. The fact that TWO identical tags exist, one on each display card, indicates that the price tag, even if claimed to be incorrect, was deliberately placed on both display cards. That said, I am curious as to what the 'regular' selling price for this item was. Looking around on the internet, it appears that these hair items are sold in a 'multi-pack' fashion, where the display card contains varying amounts of of product, depending on style. So, what we have here is not anything more than an incomplete retail item, being discounted because there is only a 'residual' quantity remaining. (No different than selling an open box of an item where some of a product has been removed; but the remaining product is perfectly usable) So, revisiting the situation, I am not even at all certain where the "1 for $2.99" was derived from.
service from staff
FYI...This was on my Facebook newsfeed. I hope matter is investigated. As store management runs both Prince Albert locations. The store does have customers service issues. store employees
I worked late last night and needed to run to the store to grab a roll of paper towels and I walked in at 950 and the lights were almost all off as if they were closed and the employee very rudely said, "You know we're almost closed, right?" I walked back out. I was very aware of the time and understand the employees have families to get home to. I had 10 minutes and would've been in and out in a few minutes.
beauty dept.
I am very disappointed with the way that the employee at this Shoppers treated and made me feel like I was a criminal/scamming. Yesterday I purchased my regular Jouviance face cream and like it so much, I decided to purchase the eye serum at a cost of 30.29 plus tax. These items were purchased at another Shoppers. This morning when I thought I would put the eye serum on but after continually pumping the bottle nothing was coming out. So I twisted the cap off and the bottle was empty with a lot of brown stuff on the bottom!
I decided to go right away to return it and exchange for another bottle. When I got to Shoppers and asked if I could exchange at any Shoppers, she said yes. When I explained the situation, she looked surprised and after opening the bottle, she asked me if I had optimum points and I said of course and gave her my card. She then explained to the other employee that she wanted to look at my history to check my previous purchases. This was even after I told her that I have never purchased the eye serum. After looking at my history, she was still reluctant but proceeded to the shelf to get another bottle. She told the other employee as she was walking away, I will explain later, it's too complicated.
She came back a few minutes later saying she didn't have any on the shelf which I truly believe was false. I said fine, I will go to the other Shoppers as I know they had a few. She said ok do that and then again whispered something to the other employee.
As a regular customer of Shoppers with over 200, 000 optimum points, I am very disappointed with how this employee made me feel. This employee should NOT be serving/dealing with customers in any sort of way! This will be the last time that I frequent your stores.
scrubbing bubbles
My son has a house on Broad Street close to the above Shoppers's Drug Mart. I told him what he needed for his washroom was a Scrubbing Bubbles brush. I usually purchase any Scrubbing Bubbles products at home here in Ottawa at Shoppers Drug Mart. At the Crown Street store they only had the refills for the Scrubbing Bubbles Wand and do not even have the wand on their inventory order sheet. How crazy is that? We tried to buy bags of ice there as well but do not carry that product as well. Might as well close this store if they cannot carry needed products.i tried another Shoppers Drug Mart in the area but they do not even carry the Scrubbing Bubbles refills. I never bothered to ask about ice after that. Might as well close all Shoppers Drug Mart stores in St John NB.
staff
I went to this location today August 13th 2019 at 13.30- 13.45 pm to buy a men's perfume.
I wasn't sure which one I wanted so I looked for a staff member to help. There was no staff member available on the floor so I approached one of the ladies at the teller.
I asked if she could show me the perfumes I looked at. Her reply "these are the expensive perfumes over $50 and 100$". I paused and asked what does she mean by that I did not ask for price yet. Then she replied " we do not have testers here, you can search on google" I replied saying google won't have testers either. I am confused at the same time figuring what is she trying to tell me? I can't afford those perfumes or she is just lazy to come out and show me the perfumes? Meanwhile the lady behind replied that "you would have to go to different location to try on some". I left the location.
But this such ridiculous behaviour of that lady not making any effort to sell the perfume and rude replies. I wasted my time at this location and will not again. But how could she just assume that I wasn't looking for expensive perfumes?
infusion sets for insulin pumps
My husband and I have just moved to the area. My husband wears a insulin pump for his Diabetes. To our surprise Shoppers Drug Mart can't order infusion sets for his insulin pump. And we should go to another drug store to order them. We moved from Paris, Ontario and every drug store there either has them or can order them. I find it every funny that a drug...
