As a former employee of Silverleaf Resorts - Buyer beware..The treat their employees
worse than the hundreds of people that they filter through the timeshare presentation.
If you bought with them, check your paperwork. You probably missed a signature on one of the documents, but I guarantee you that if you requested a copy from the corporate office, your signature would be on that document. They forge names and notarize documents long after you have left the resort. That is your grounds for cancelling the program. If you call the corporate office in Dallas, Texas and threaten lawsuit or that you will contact the Attorney General, they will back down. You have to scream loud and long, but they will cancel and possibly refund your money.
Everything they do is illegal. I don't know how they stay in business. I was fired because I refused to lie and cheat good people. Most of the employees are on drugs and drive you around in their vehicles under the influence. Money is their motivator. Do not buy anything from Denny Moore!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I interviewed for a sales position at the Galveston resort today, and I had a funny feeling. The gentleman I spoke with, Eric, seemed to be working hard to sell me on the company and the fact that I could make a lot of $$. Now I feel like a rube -- he was clearly working as hard as I was at selling myself.
He asked if I had car insurance, and that seemed weird to me.
You need car insurance to take the folks on tour of the resort. Denny Moore just got promoted from the Canyon Lake office. If you need help canceling a Silverleaf timeshare contract, even if you are past the rescission date, email me:

As a current employee of Silverleaf Resorts, Inc. for over 3 years, I can say with utmost confidence, that employees are treated as well, if not better, than any company I have worked for. As far as clients, no better treatment can be found in our industry, if any other. No fake signatures or document fraud (notarization) is done PERIOD. The only disgruntled FORMER employees are those who came in with a BAD attitude and couldn't sell anything (like this one). If you want, judge THIS book by it's cover, not by the opinion of a negative individual who probably hasn't held a real job for more than 6 months in thier life. Yes, you need car insurance to take people on a tour of a resort. You live in Texas, you need car insurance anyway! If you want to get out of a contract after your recission period, you shouldn't have bought in the first place. Not because the program didn't deliver on its promises, but because you probably couldn't afford it, anyway! EVERYTHING we do is legal and GOOD for that matter. We are governed by the AG who would love to shut us down, but can't because everything we do is by the book and completely above reproach. Drug use is rampant in the US, but drug testing is done and anyone found using them is FIRED on the spot. Last, but not least, the complaint that money is our motivator. UHHHHHH, this is America, which, last I checked is a Capitalist Society. Money motivates everyone. If you are not making enough, you move on. Just because SUCCESSFUL people make money and you don't, doesn't mean you need to get mad at them. Find out what you are good at, which for some, is complaining, find out how to make alot of money at it, and do it well. If you can make as much money at THAT as I do at timeshare, I promise, I won't get mad. Do your thang! RT
Ryan I have to agree with you. I also worked for Silverleaf many years ago when progress was booming. People will be people. Being able to read between the lines separates the successful from the unsuccessful. You do get what you pay for in America. If you want the Marriott you should buy at the Marriott. Silverleaf Resorts is for the common working people not the rich and famous, even though many people who own with Silverleaf are very wealthy. The complainers seem to be all those who lied in the first place just to claim a "FREE" gift. They didn't quality to begin with. Some were even on welfare and managed to buy into the resort. Go figure! I love to listen to the complainers in the bunch, they are the same people who vote for people who pump them with lines of harden BS and are not smart enough to realize that such campaign promises are impossible to meet. Politicians love people who are not to bright! Take a good look at Washington today, nobody and I mean nobody lies more to the people to get your money than those in Washington! So if you want to just play follow the leaders, walk in Washington foot steps.
My fiance and I went to this presentation yesterday 1/28/11 and I wish I had thought to read all these complaints before we went! After 4 hours we finally gave in and purchased a "sampler package" and now I think we need to find a way to cx ASAP...it sounded good that we could trade our week and use it to go anywhere oon our honeymoon and then be able to vacation every year anywhere in the world with our banked week, does not look like that is ever going to happen!
I really don't know how you people who work for Silverleaf resorts can sit there and say that it is a good place to work. I currently work for Silverleaf and if you like to work for half of the pay you would get at any of the other timeshare companies and work twice as long for the money. Also Doc is a crazy [censor] that thinks he can carry a gun around and shoot t.v.'s when he is not happy his demands are not being met. I and a few other timeshare reps have realized that their practice of paying hourly wages and then taking them back when you get a commission check is illegal and have been keeping records to give to our attorney we are taking Silverleaf to court. If you are a previous employee of Silverleaf Resorts and want hourly wage and overtime pay from Silverleaf you will be receiving information in the mail soon please sign it and send it back they owe you allot of money.
I was a faithful employee for many years. and was the top producer the week i was fired for medical reason.and was told by TREY HUNT is was no good to him anymore, since i didnt show up. First off, yes I am trolling. But for a good reason. We have worked as timeshare fraud investigators for a long time. And one scam that get me is the resale scam. You pay 600 bucks up front to "sell" your timeshare and the only time you hear from the listing agent is when it's time to pay him more money. So we are putting together a resale page where you pay $59.90 a year to list your timeshare. The only promises are buyers will find it and when a buyer contact us and we make sure that person is legit, we put the buyer and seller in contact. That's it no fees, no commission. $59.90 a year. And because we are new the first 100 pay $59.90 until it sells, no matter how long it takes. At least check us out at www.timeshareoffers.blogspot.com
