Sizzling Pubs service quality of food

I made a complaint several weeks ago about the "Oak and Acorn " in Oakwood Derby. I still have not had the courtesy of a reply. Having researched the internet, it appears I am not the only one, several others have also mentioned the lack of respect and courtesy of your complaints procedure as they also have not received a reply !

I look forward to your response to my original complaint!

Sizzling Pubs food

Hi want to just say me and my husband thought we would try your restaurant carrmill and we were very disappointed as we waited nearly an hour, the place looked unclean and when it finally came out it looked like a childs portion and we had to wait for cutterlry, the steak was chewy I had to keep spitting it out and it never came out sizzling looks like the onions were boiled we were very disappointed no one asked us how our meal we normally go to venture and wish we had again because we wont be returning here

Sizzling Pubs ship inn paignton devon

on the 8th of july my wife grandson and myself went for a meal for my 70th birthday we arrived at 5.15 pm we ordered drinks and a meal we waited about 30mins when one of the staff came to say that one of the meals would take a little longer as the manager has to go to torquay to get some bar-b-que sauce we wasn't asked if we wanted to order something different of the menu so we waited after another 15mins my husband asked how much longer we had to wait they said they will sort it out the pub was not busy soon we waited then people that had arrived a good 30mins after us got there meals and one of the meals that they were served was the one that we were told that we had to wait for so my husband went again to see what was going on as we were still waiting a hour after we ordered and we couldn't understand that people that came in well after we were there was getting there meals so we decided we had enough of waiting so we told them that we want to cancel the order we paid for the drinks we had and went else where nobody seemed to care my grandson who is 7 was very hungry but that didn't make any difference to the staff we are locals and use the ship quite often but to be let down as badly as this i don't think we will be using the ship again for a very long time i hope you could look into this for me and hope to get a response soon thanking you Mr L.Davis

Sizzling Pubs service

Good afternoon

I went to one of your public houses for the 1st time (Myvod Wednesbury)
there was only one bar staff on and she looked like she didnt want to be there, We proceeded to order food, i asked for the spicy beef to just be told " we got none of that" no sorry nothing.
We drank our drink and left, and I don't think i will go there again, 1st impression not good!

Sizzling Pubs food, and service

My friend and I arrived at the Top of the World pub in Hemel Hempstead at 12 noon Saturday the 29th of June, at this time it was not very busy, had to wait a while to be served bar staff to busy talking, we ordered our starters of mushrooms which were lovely, however when our main course came out the peas were dry and over cooked as was the chicken the jacket potato was nice, when I said to a member of staff she said oh was it. didn't take it any further as we had all ready waited sometime, we then ordered our vanilla cheese cake but they only had one run out already the main disappointment was the main, we eat there a lot as we normally have good service and food.

Sizzling Pubs service

Had lunch today 11th June at the Old Manor Inn, Newtons Road, W-S-M, BS22 9LP.
I placed my order for 2 x baked potatoes at 13:00:33, I waited to 13:40 to complain that I had not received my food and still had to wait another 6 minutes for it to arrive. No apologies, no explanation, just here it is. whilst I was waiting I had spent my time looking around the pub and I did not see anyone else wait anywhere near this amount of time for their meals. It is not acceptable and does nothing to endear the customer to Sizzler pubs. Perhaps it was because I was not spending much, as there was no explanation I am at a loss and can only say it spoiled what should have been a nice lunch time spent with my wife. Very Angry

Sizzling Pubs product

Merebrook bromborough wirral uk ch63This is my local and every now and then go and have something to eat... The only reason myself and my wife come to this sizzler pub is because its local. Why why why!. Attended at 17, 30 12.5.19. Ordered for my wife chilli beef was filled with grease awfull. I ordered pepper jack stack... It came as two burgers with cheese on top not in between with two half inch by three inches of what was meant to be bacon... No onion rings was a joke and nothing like the picture... Called the waitress back and showed picture and said that looks nothing like the picture. The waitress returned to kitchen and came back five minutes later while food was going cold and said we have run out of onion rings.. I was just in shock... Never ever again its a disgrace... The place has gone so down hill looks scruffy and smells of beer that has been left to dry in carpets... Whoever takes this complaint should be embarrassed working for sizzling pubs customer service and the product provided to the customer is disgraceful. The only people you will get attending for food is first time people because I can never see anyone returning... This use to be a number of years ago a great place for food and drink.! Sizzling Pubs poor service provided

I submitted a complaint via the sizzling pubs website on Friday 19/04/19 regarding poor service I received at the iford bridge pub on Thursday evening 19/04/19. All details are on the original email complaints submission. But nearly a Week on, I still haven't received even an acknowledgement of the complaint. Which I find absolutely amazing, when you consider the contents of the complaint and how I / we were dealt with by the Manager. I would prefer not to re type all the information as I've done it once already. If somebody could please review mt original email and at least have the courtesy to respond to a customer. Sizzling Pubs food and decor

Never had the option of setting up a tab, no check back received, have been here before and enjoyed our visits, ordered fish and chips and the plate was swimming in oil, obviously the fish hadn't been drained prior to being put on the plate, I had to mop it up with serviette, we sat near a window which was covered in mould, quite an unhappy dining experience, please find photos enclosed, regards denise

Sizzling Pubs food and dirt

A friend and i arrived at the swan holm lane birkenhead approx 2pm .The menu did not have a chicken and bacon salad bowl on it so asked a male member of staff serving if they did a chicken and bacon salad bowl to which he replied yes. I ordered waited with my friend for about 30minutes or so for our food to arrive to which i was given a super green salad which looked like mush. I have never seen a salad bowl like this at all. When i complained i could not eat it to tom a staff member he came back with that's the super green salad. To which i said i should of been told they don't do a chicken and bacon salad bowl they only do this one. I preceded to say i should of been told before i paid. I had an apology then the male member of staff who served me sorry did not get his name came over and said it's up to me to read menu. I said i did which is why i asked if they could make one. As due to an illness i am only allowed to eat certain food. He did refund my meal after i asked for head office contact details, but feel he only did this as i asked for contact details. Also the pub was not clean at all quite filthy with dust and dirt everywhere which is disgusting for food to be served in. I am sure the health and safety would have issues with this. We have eaten there most weeks and normally there is about 4 - 6 of us all depends what day we go.i have included pictures but they do not show it as bad as it was due to light. I just feel that this is not acceptable for one of your public houses.

Sizzling Pubs Product & service

Tonight "Valentine's" night is a Special night when you take the one you love out & splash the cash but sometimes If your a little strapped for cash then you have to take second best so I took my Wife of 44 years out for a meal at what turned out to be one of the worst meals & Service that I have Ever experienced.
Our table was booked for 19.30 hrs & we arrived 10 minutes early, we were taken to our table & on making our selection from the menu I went to the bar to order our meals.
I ordered Soup to begine with & when after 20 minutes it arrived just luke warm, I was hungry so I ate it & waited for the Main Course to be served, my wife had chosen Scampi with chip's & peas & I ordered Ribs with chicken wings sweet corn & Children bites, after waiting for 75 minutes finally the food turned up, Great we thought, sadly this was Not the case for the peas were Cold as if they had come straight out of the fridge & the Scampi & chips were only warm.
My meal was also cold & the butter would not melt on the sweet corn as it was stone cold, I took both meals back to the bar & told them that they were Cold, after waiting a further 15 minutes my wife's Scampi meal came back & once again it was cold & the sweet corn was also cold, I told my wife that we were leaving & went up to the bar & told them that we were totally disgusted with the food & the disgusting service.
All the manager said was keep your voice low & I'll see what went wrong? I told him Not to bother & left the pub, outside the pub doors we overheard another couple were also unhappy with the cold food that they were served, I advised them to go back in & complain, I hope that they did.
Our Valentine's meal was ruined by this Totally unacceptable disservice that we received from this Not Fit For Purpose Pub,
Do your self a favour & steer clear of this Exceptionally Poor excuse for a pub.
We found out later that this "Sizzling Pub" is owned by Mitchell's & Butler the Harvester & Toby Carvery Chain, need I say any more!

Sizzling Pubs xmas dinner

We pre paid for our xmas dinner £360 6 adults, 6 children. on 25th december, 2pm we arrived at the ship. Table had no effort whatsoever. A cheap cracker each. The prawn cocktail starter had four prawns each and dry old brown cheap bread
The turkey dinners were tiny, freezing cold, the single pig in blankets on each plate burnt, stuffing ball on each plate was powdery, uncooked. carrots had dirt/ grit, just inedable, we had tubs of barbecue sauce (?) on the plates, two half full gravy boats between 12 of us, stone cold. waited half hour for another half filled gravy boat. We complained and was asked if we wanted chef to come out. Did not want to make a scene on xmas day, so said no. It was an awfull xmas day experience,

Sizzling Pubs I am complaining about a meal and drinks

Good afternoon I am sorry to have to send in this complaint but I was at my local Southfield pub on green lane Bolton with my wife we ordered food and drinks on Sunday the 16 dec my steak was the worst I had ever had and the amount of onions put on my plate was a joke we also ordered two vodka red bulls to which the red bull apparently was put into my glass instead of giving me
the red bull to put in myself it also had a strange taste I complained and nothing was done I was just told it was the original red bull that she had put in we are regulars there but after this recent visit I am not sure I would want to go bk the food was really bad and it's not often I take a picture of the food I am complaining about.

Sizzling Pubs food / service

My husband myself and 2 grandchildren went to The Leicester Arms in Luton Beds today sat.8th Dec. We arrived at 12.50pm found a table went to bar to place our order customers were waiting no staff around then 2 arrived and took our order. 1.50 our meals arrived with apologies from waitress, the problem they have is not enough staff waitress has complained but has been told they have cut back, which isn't good when they not only serving food but working the bar taking orders and the girl said she had been washing up as well as only 1 person doing washing up, tables needed clearing but no room in kichen to put them if this is our your company work I'm sure you will be having customers saying they will not return as that's how we felt when we left if you would like to respond to my complaint my e mail address is

Sizzling Pubs lack of communication

Hi my daughter booked a table for 7 o clock for my birthday we live in Denton it took us over 45 min to get to the vernon arms in poynton when we arrived we were told sorry they were not doing food due to staffing levels to say we were dissatisfied is an under statement. We then had to find Else where to go at short notice I would like this being addressed as they had my daughter s e mail address and phone no but never rang us . She booked it in the name of Rebecca Reynolds for two people I would like a gift voucher to have a meal there as it spoilt our night out and it was my birthday treat I look forward to you sorting this out kind regards

Sizzling Pubs service was disgusting

Was in the Acorn pub on Saturday late afternoon the level of service from the staff was awful, no eye contact no smiles nothing . Ordered food for a 40 minute wait. Asked for the manager and was told "she's too busy"? Appalling level of customer care. Tables where disgusting with left over food, plates and food on the floor. All the staff looked like they were about to cry ? but what can you expect when the public ask for the manager she's too busy. Appalling . I won't be back in to this pub and if this is the level of service sizzler provide their customers with I'll stay clear of the other brands.

Sizzling Pubs food

Hi i sent in a complaint about the pines crookston road and have had no reply. I was there sat 15th oct and i had curry which the poppadoms had flys over and under them there was flys on mt plate there was 4 of us in my company i have already sent an email in explainin everything was told the fly catcher was broke this is my second bad experience in here i only try 3 times if a third bad experience i wont use again

Hi i was in the pines on sat 13th oct there was 4 in my party i had the tikka masala when it came out the popadoms had flys in them and under them on my plate this is my second bad experience in there i tend to give these places 3 trys if i habe a problem it is a friendly place i enjoy tho think there was a few problems that night. It was taken away and got fresh one but was put of by then the manager ln call that nite came over and i got refund tho this shouldnt b happening the other person in my group never received refund tho she was put of. Sizzling Pubs food service and disappointed

We went to jubilee pub on 20th September for a joint celebration meal for my son and grandaughter it was pre booked for 25 of us for 630 pm on arrival we were told only 2 bar staff and they were also serving food as well at 1950 they finally brought the children foods out after asking twice all ready as the kids were getting hungry and restless at nearly 2100 hrs the children's puddings come our when the adult meals come out my son and hubby ordered mega mix grill which the meat was all dried up and dry and tough my dad had ordered gammon which again was tough dry family friend ordered chicken which again was tough and dry I chose the chicken fajitas wrap and told my mum to order them because at the sizzling pub the Bradley and the cricketers in Grimsby which I always order this meal at the 2 pubs is delicious on a bed of fresh red green peppers and onions ours come out on a bed of onions with 3 strips of peppers very dissapointed it was our first visit to the jubilee and very upset and disappointed by the food the service as they new they had a big party of 25 coming in and only had 2 staff doing drinks and food together very sad as if was a double birthday celebration meal for family please can u get back to me regarding this [protected]@Hotmail.com [protected] 261 yarborough road grimsby n e Lincolnshire dn344es

we had booked to go the jubilee on 20th sept to celebrate my son and granddaughter birthday what atotal diisaapoimnmet it was firstly to be told only 2 bar staff on and thery were serving food also even though they new had a big booking of 25 of us at 630 eventually at 1950 they decidied to brin g the childrens meal pout after me going to the bar twice as the children were getting very hungry and restless there puddings came out at 2055 which I feel is far to late for children when we had pre booked for 630pm when the adult meals came out my son and husband ordered mega mixed grill the meat was tough all dried up and awful my dad orderd gammon which was all dried up and tough friend ordered chicken which was dry and tough I ordered the chicken fajhita wraps and told my mum to have the same as I always visit the sizzling g pub the Bradley or cricketers in Grimsby and order this as it comes on a fresh bed of onions green and red peppers and is lovel much to my dismay it came on a bed of onions with 3 strips of pepers very dissapoiunting first visit to the jubilee for a double family celebration and was very dissapoinment form start to finish with the poor quality of food the lack of good service please can you get back to on this matter other people in the pub were also complaing about the service which was very poor my email is louandshaun@hotmail.com my name is louise partington 261 Yarborough road Grimsby north east Lincolnshire dn344es tel [protected]

Sizzling Pubs food

I waited an hour for my food which i accepted as the pub was busy which i take as a good sign but after waiting my classic mixed grill came with the whole of the plate covered in boiled/ fried onions which i detest, i was offered a replacement but as my partner was partially thru her meal and given the hour wait i declined the offer and tried my best to eat mine which by now was tainted with the horrible taste of onions which was not mentioned/listed on the menu, this spoiled what was meant to be a treat for my deserving partner, i visited The Black Horse Illey Lane around 17:00 hours on Sunday 2nd September and had a classic mixed and a beef dinner
