I called to cancel my service with Slomin's Shield just to find out that they enrolled me in another contract ( which I would have NEVER agreed to). I was told back in 2022 that since I was a long standing customer that I was eligible for a FREE door bell camera as well as a keypad. I asked the sales representative several times "will this change anything" and she stated "NO". She never once stated that it will extend my contract. Upon trying to cancel my service this year (2024), I'm told that if I cancel, I would breach my contract. I stated that my contract expired in 2022. I was told that I renewed my contract when I received the door bell camera. I stated that I did not renew any contract. I'm told they have my signature. As I stated, you have my signature for the installation of the door bell. Had I known that a "FREE" door bell would have extended my contract, I would have never signed. Now I get an invoice for over $2,500 stating that I have an unfulfilled obligation on the contract as well as fees for equipment I never received. They're (collections) stating that I owe for a key pad that I never received. Something needs to be done about this bill. It's incorrect. I would never recommended this company as they charge you for equipment that you never receive and also they trick you into extending your contract thinking you're signing for freebies.
