Sparks Delivery
Drivers are sent to pick up items at Walmart is out of stock on and we don't get paid more than $2.50 for an hour's worth of work. Other times we pick up the delivery and we go there and we can't find it and Sparks customer service tells us to take it back and we'll be paid we never get paid for returning the merchandise. We will go to a Walmart in the power will be out so the manager will ask us to wait so that they won't get behind on their orders and we call the company after about an hour to let them know why we haven't picked up the order in the Sparks customer service person cancels the order and only pays us $2.54

Account deactivation
On june 25,2023 my account was deactivated for false information from a customer however I called june 26,2023 and spoke to spark delivery customer support they told me to file an appeal I done that, I have called every single day these people have no clue what they are doing.. One agent told me it take 7 to 20 business days to hear from the appeals department then another agent told me it takes 2 weeks.. It has been 15 business days and I still have not received an email or sms from spark appeals to get my account reactivated.. That are bad for business and unprofessional.. I would appreciate it if someone could help me get my account reactivated.

I ordered something from Walmart and I know the delivery driver personally and she don't like me so she accepted my order then didn't even try to deliver it I called Walmart cs and nothing has been done she didn't have to accept my order but she did just to be ugly and mean about I want her terminated she is unprofessional and should never be able to deliver anything again
Oh yeah I forgot to mention that when I tried to contact her the phone number is no longer in service this is a scam for a company

I have been working with Spark for more than 1 year. I have maintained good metrics most of the time and I have made more than 1100 trips. Spark has been all this time my full time job. In general I think it is the best application currently that allows you to earn a decent income. Until you are deactivated for non sense or non specific reasons such as your personal information is not yours like you are not you, things like that. After a whole year working for them.
I appealed ,I sent my info again and it was useless .And the worst thing is the total lack of communication where they not explain anything, they do not give you details or show willingness to resolve any situation. If there is an error or something is wrong, it can be overcome without going to extremes. Because on this side of that application ,there are human beings who live from it. And the first thing anyone deserves is a warning, hey, this is missing or this is wrong, we have to change it ,is common sense. If there is an error or something has gone wrong, it can be solved, it is simple. It seems like there's no chance to figure it out, they never see the good work you could have done, that's worthless. Even if you want to use the last resort of arbitration to try to solve it, they do not listen to you ,they leave you in an endless wait and you cannot do anything. And I just want to fix it and get my job back. But Walmart, the big company, is acting like ignoring everything, it doesn't matter, they don't lose anything, I'm one more. It's just that what they do is not right, not like that,it's not fair at all.

’m reaching out concerning the reason of my account has been deactivated I just started spark driving 19 years days ago and absolutely love it and love everything about it the only thing I have done was i had 3 items in the cart at the time of cart check and I didn’t know I had to have a seperate cart for my personal items during cart check Is there any way that I can get my account reactivated so I can continue using your services again I totally apologize I wouldn’t willingly break policy rules
Most frustrating app ever
I have been with spark for about 4 months. Upon starting things were great! I always set my schedule to 84 hours and accept every order I can and could usually make about $500/wk. I find out other drivers are making close to $1600/wk and I don’t know how that’s happening. For a whole month all my orders were coming in to already saying “offer expired”. I made no money and my metics went down so zero since I couldn’t accept any orders. I finally broke down and purchased a second phone after getting no useful/meaningful help from Spark. When I used it the first day offers were coming in left and right. Here we are a week later no offers are even coming in. I’m at a lost for worlds like why is it so difficult to have a proper working app?

I’ve only been using this app for about 2wks and when I started, it worked like a breeze I had no issues. Now though, I haven’t had a request in almost 4 days now. I had called customer service and reported the issue thru the app, my availability has been open all day today and I only received 1 request in literally 6hrs. I know it’s the app because my Uber and DoorDash apps work just fine. Really disappointed because I did enjoy doing this way more than Uber, and I depend on apps like these to earn extra income and it’s extremely bad business to have apps malfunction like this.
Update day #6 and no request again. I’m with other drivers their getting request but I’m not. No response from anyone with both emails I sent yesterday so guess I’ll be driving with Uber.

Worst Gig Economy App out there
I’m so disappointed in this app. There is always an issue and it never works as it should.
The app is shoddy at best. The app alone ruins a great independent contractor job. The customer is negatively impacted by the poor performance of the app and the independent contract loses time, money and peace of mind due to this horrible app.
The app schedules multiple drivers for the same order. There is no fix.
The round Robin/first come first serve system does not work.
Offers are not received by the driver but the acceptance rate goes down even when the driver is not signed in.
Driver support is helpless as they can’t fix issues that are dev issues. Driver support does their best but they are helpless in the matter.
This would be the perfect gig economy job but the app ruins it.

Daily app issues
By far this is the worst app platform I’ve worked for! It’s technical issues with each update, missing payment and trips on a regular basis, when you complete a trip you expect to be paid, but you’re told on a regular basis, a generated statement if it doesn’t appear wait 48hrs and call back, and they can do a manual ticket! Well the tickets starts to pile up, never can speak to someone who’s knowledgeable about how the program is supposed to work, never can speak to a supervisor, being that everyone works from home, and far as receiving trips it’s a joke, why flood the platform if the demand is not there which makes it next to impossible to receive offers without staring at the phone 24/7 or breaking your find to try and grab whatever! Spark need to start over with this program because it’s trash!

Keeps getting worse, you people are cowards
A few weeks or a month now into the spark now changes they made and I can safely say it has ruined driving experience. Because you can no longer accept an offer while completing a trip, it leads to several times where you have to sit in your car for an hour not working or earning. Now how is this a step in right direction?
Whoever works on this app (not the h1b type people they outsource it to but the people in Arkansas) I am convinced are subhuman cretinous cowards because they don’t even listen to reviews, and the automated responses that don’t make sense prove it. The fact that there are people who take nice paychecks home while on a daily basis brainstorm changes to make the app worse is baffling. Also your marketing emails are so unprofessional looking coming from Walmart, so many errors and pixelated photos.

They will deactivate you without giving you a reason
You can literally bust your a...and one day you’ll wake up to a “Your account has been deactivated, call to reactivate” message. Here’s the thing though, they don’t need a reason. They will tell you another department makes that decision and they will NEVER contact you to tell you what happened A customer being mad about a mistake on their order? Oh well it falls on you. An associate not liking you and trying to get you outta here? That works too. Whoever complains about you once, YOU OUTTA THERE. No explaining your side of the story, nothing. Now what type of person will go on this app and take it seriously? I knew a fellow driver who showed me his perfect account and they still threatened him to deactivate him This is literally a joke app. Get close to the bonuses? They will black ball you until you fall an order short.

They do not care about their drivers and they deactivate your account for no reason
Every time you go to Walmart on time or even before time you still end up waiting on an order for at least 30 minutes and sometimes you won’t even get the order and Walmart employees will tell you that they don’t have enough people working so you end up either delivering the orders late which is what gives them a reason to deactivate your account no matter how many times you call and explain to them or you will end up waiting for an hour at Walmart for an order then have to cancel it without getting paid for the hour that you spent at Walmart waiting. Worst app ever and customer service don’t care and whoever developed that app doesn’t know anything about a healthy work environment for terminating people like that who have bills to pay and driving all them miles for little money and at the end being terminated for a mistake that’s not even theirs.

Please don’t waste your time on this
They plain and simple play games. The management is unfair, careless, and play favoritism. At the beginning was fine but then I noticed two specific drivers always getting most of the offers hour after hour. They claimed the system is automatic and random but is not. The system is manually manipulated. The store manager in my area apparently controls who he wants to make the more money. On weekends, holidays, and especially when incentives are offered is when they will pick and choose their favorites. Walmart should seriously look into this unfair situation and start abiding by their policies. They are giving too much power to their managers without control. Also, if you voice your opinion they make worse for you. This should not be occurring during this pandemic in which people are the most in need or ever. Walmart corporate investigate and take action!

No Offers
When I first started this job in October last year I made $240 in two days. When I seen how much i can make from it I quit my job and made this my full time. Then i started getting less offers so I went back to working but then I recently started again last month and it was going good for a while then the same thing happened again with less offers. Just like one of these other reviews I would sit in the app and “first come first serve” would pop up but nothing is there. At this point I'm fed up I call driver support almost everyday and even email them but nothing has changed. They all tell you do the same thing either log out , delete the app or trouble shoot. When the real problem is the app. They don't want to fix this problem. I would rate Zero stars if you can. My family would receive offers right in my face but nothing pops on my screen. This is the only way I really pay my bills.

It's a matter of conflict resolution if per sey, another driver views this blog with an issue, they can view the date of response,( spark response) so it does not have to be asked again, by us drivers.
It’s ALWAYS something
I’m constantly having to uninstall and re install the app. Unknown error message all the time and the Only way to fix that is to reset your password. Just another troubleshooting step I have to do every time I use the app. I ALWAYS get overloaded on the day my availability is off (Tuesday) which, according to them is a low volume day, but on the weekend during high volumes, I get 3 offers all day. I feel once I get to a certain amount of earnings, my offers go silent. It’s extremely hard to accept offers because once the wheel stops spinning, the offer is “no longer available “. Sometimes I can’t even get an offer in time when I’m just staring at my phone and see the offer before the notification. It’s ERY frustrating. Between all the platforms, you make 3 times more with DoorDash Just because they got it together with their app, things run smoothly, and you can knock out several deliveries in a short period. Spark “engineers “ need to get with DoorDash engineers and take some notes! #overit

Deactivated Without Reason
ive worked as a contractor for spark since early 2021. it seemed fine, if i had good stats then i’d get more orders. after a while i decided to get an apartment because the money was good. my stats were 4.8 customer rating and 84% acceptance rate, with over 450 orders completed, all very good. and then all of the sudden last night my account gets deactivated. i can’t think of any reason why this would happen, everything seemed to be going fine. i called support and appealed the deactivation. they couldn’t give me a reason why it happened, they said i’d get an email in two days with the reason and what to do about it. i called again and the next person told me i wouldn’t get the email for 7 days. and then called again and that person told me the appeal was denied and i won’t get a reason why any of it happened. moral of the story is don’t rely on something like this to support you. they will deactivate your account without notice or reason, they do not care about you or the hard work you put in for them. because of this i may lose my apartment.

Horrible app and service
Plain and simple the worst app for delivery, terrible customer service and even worse pay. Keep in mind they will find so many excuses not pay you for work they tell you to do it’s insane. Wait time pay maybe if that app works, pay for returning orders, perhaps if they don’t decide to cancel the order while in route back to the store so you get paid nothing for the original trip or the return pay. Holiday pay and bonuses even bigger joke, they will be so behind you’ll get one order done every few hours if that. Oh and enjoy the rating from their system for late orders that they’ve given you after their late and customer ratings based off the late delivery that was never updated.
As to the developer response, what a joke basically you can call or write in to the same people that lied time and time again having me deliver orders for free under the guise they would get you paid and claim your paid for wait time. You will never even get a response to an escalated ticket, automated or otherwise from these people. Independent contractors here are just just trash to be discarded.

The Spark Drive app is so bad that it literally lays on the floor
According to official records, slavery in USA was officially abolished in 1865, but Spark sees all of its drivers as slaves. But how does it work?
Their algorithm is based on using you as a slave. They watch over the tips you earn. If the tips you will get that day are more, Spark will pay you less. Although customers have paid tip, Spark cancels it. It does not give the right of your labor, but also directly steals your earnings.
The software team of the app is a complete fiasco. They think they are constantly improving the application, but with each update they break another feature. They use you as a test board. Besides being a slave for them, you also become a test tool for the mobile application they could not develop.
Even if you take long rides, they do not pay your right, the effort fee they pay constantly changes and the DDI becomes rich over you. Even if they want to compete with Amazon with the Walmart + feature, I don't think they will succeed because they are very amateurs.
It's simple, check out the AppStore reviews of other driver apps. Their rating ranges from 4.8 to 5 out of tens of thousands of reviews. The Spark Drive app is so bad that it literally lays on the floor.
All drivers on the market are trying this app, and the first week they run away and are now driving. If you have a mind, stay away from this app, Walmart and DDI.

Same problems
I have the same problems as everyone else who’s complained and I’m actually glad to read them because I was pretty bent out of shape over some of the things . I started last year and was one of the first drivers for one of the Walmart’s before switching zones . They need to charge accordingly, gas prices are high at times and whenever there is a bonus program the base rate is way too low , probably to offset the bonuses . Also Some of us live in Hot climates , which makes it extra tough carrying several 24 packs of water up three flights of stairs you really don’t want to do it for $7 lol . Now when there is no bonus program and the rate goes up to $20 I will tough it out . I also feel that the DOTCOM orders should be more $ ,seems like a waste to just deliver one or two items to people , the orders are batched you can get 3 to 10 orders . Driving sometimes 30 miles. Also I don’t like the order of finishing a delivery , I think we should take the pic first then be able to call and text them , then once we get an answer we can complete order . After you take the pic you can’t call them or text them and taking a pic after they answer is awkward and silly . One last thing , I feel like if a customer requests a time line and we meet that time line we should be able to leave it at the door take a pic and go , as long as we sent them a message . Taking orders back is just ridiculous at times especially big orders . Things have just changed , its just not the job it portrayed to be in the beginning .

Worst App Ever
The app does not work the way they say it should! They just did an update to add features to an app the didn't work efficiently in the first place. The “spark now” feature is supposed to allow you the opportunity for offers outside of your normal availability window. However, it doesn’t work that way! You still have to be set to available to receive offers. To test my theory I have been unavailable with my spark now turned on for the last three days in a row in the afternoon, and not one offer has come in. Prior to the app update there were lots of evening deliveries that would go to the FCFS and often go up in price because no one would take the offers. So to not get an offer in the evening is rare! Today I had my availability on and received a normal curbside offer. Then turned my availability off and did not receive another offer. Turned my availability back on and receive an offer within 10-15 minutes of it being on. Turned it back off and have not received an offer since (it has been hours now)!
When I reach out to driver support, they say “no offers is the sign of low volume for orders”. Ok fine, but for days in a row when I know this area and the order habits fairly well by now! Not buying it! I also know they are still on loading more new drivers and offers are going to door dash (as I have received offers on door dash for grocery delivery). So low order volume means hire on more drivers? This use to be good money and a lot of fun, but it is turning into a nightmare with every update or addition they do!
