Unlawful deceptive sales tactics .and misrepresentation, omission of facts, exaggerations of timeshare use of product anytime etc.. We entered into a timeshare agreement with Starpoint Resorts on 11/05/2017. On that day we were given a glowing presentation by a salesman named Phil he enticed us with a grand picture of what our timeshare ownership with Sapphire/Starpoint Resorts would be if we signed a contract. We were given tickets and dinner at a discount not even free as they had promised. we were told that the time share would be available to our children for their use anytime, and were told this would be the most flexible way for us to vacation inasmuch as we could travel anywhere at any time under our membership. Most importantly, we were led to believe this was a valuable investment. We were assured any time we were not the least bit happy with our ownership, we could sell it back to Starpoint. We found out pretty quickly this timeshare ownership is far from the extremely flexible vacationing that we were promised. Nothing is EVER available when we are free and able to travel. we have tried to use it, only to be told there is no availability. Nor been able to use one time since we bought. we have not been able to use our timeshare not one single time.because of lack of availability at our chosen times. To date, or we would need to pay more money. We have been trying to get a response to our concerns from Starpoint over the course of the last few months. We have called, sent emails and letters to this company, and our legitimate concerns still have NEVER been addressed. Not only are we told that we are unable to sell it back to the company as promised but, our complaints have been completely ignored or responded to with a message that we are in breach of our contract. also the finance company has been illegally Overcharging our account with excessive interest fees and late charges well over the agreed interest rate. for example my payment is $123.54. on 8/14/2018. I made a payment of $155. They applied $1.81 toward my principal and $121.19 toward the interest rate which is 21.14% $7 on impound fee.and $25. late fee. they can never give you a formula to explain why. 3 years of payments and this is a never ending pattern of over charges and fees. which would never be paid off. We were misled into this contract with Sapphire/Starpoint we were told our session would only be 90 minutes we held there almost 6 hours. all terms of contract were never explained to us. we weren't told we had 3 days to cancel . we weren't told or explained to that we would have to go a arbitration instead of lawsuit. if we had a dispute with this nightmare of a company. we didn't get any paper work until 3 weeks later . they pressured and rushed us threw this entire process with lies and misrepresentation and deceptive practices by not explaining 3 day cancellation rights or giving us our paper work to read after leaving jockey club hotel. they also told us we were owners and partners that had legal rights to use the cosmopolitan hotel and that we could book their and stay anytime . and now our stated concerns have been ignored by everyone at this company. We demand to have not only our contract with Sapphire/ Starpoint Resorts not only be rescinded but, to be refunded. the money we have regrettably invested in this scam. if their is a class action lawsuit please sign us up. we are in process of getting attorney.

Count me in only used twice ended up paying for most if not all my vacation and any other time nothing is available, I stopped paying them don’t care if they ruin my credit. Just done with it. I had to rearrange my schedule to match what they said they had open. Total joke company.

This is a nightmare it's been 6 months of paying a total $2700.94 & have not been able to use not even once, nor the "FREE TRIPS". We were promised free show tickets & a lunch that we couldn't even use just to watch a presentation that wouldn't take more than 90 minutes of our time. It took more than 6 hours which we ended up missing a show that we had purchased tickets for. They said we would only pay a yearly fee & didn't tell us that we would be charged for the year that was ending & never used. The speaker bullying everyone in the room saying that we were stupid if we didn't get the timeshare. The representative basically forcing us after we said No 5 times to let us leave and they lowered loan twice & added another trip. Promised all paid including flight tickets from Texas to Hawaii & California even amusement tickets to Disneyland. Turns out that flights are only from Las Vegas. Also, we kept saying no that I was in process of finding out my biopsy results & they told me if we had to cancel for any reason that he really shouldn't be telling us this but during Covid a lot of people would just call to say that they were going through a hardship & that they didn't have to continue payments. He made it sound so simple. If it wasn't for that comment he made we would have not signed our life out to them. They rushed us to sign. They lied about everything to get us to sign.. I unfortunately lost my job and was diagnosed with cancer. I called & told them I was going through a hardship and they said that I couldn't cancel our contract & loan, if I didn't pay it would be sent to collections. It's been nothing more than a burden & a money pit for something we have & will not be able to use & on top with all hospitals bills I have. These people are a scam & they are robbing us blind & the thousands of other people that they basically lied & bullied into buying this timeshare. We really need your help to get in touch with these people & have them cancel our contract & give us our money back.

I was set today to start the process of requesting a cancellation and decided to "google" Starpoint Resorts and this was the first item that popped up. We too would like to be included in this mess. My husband and I are in the same boat! Please let us know if there is a class action lawsuit! Add us in! We have been dealing with them charging us late fees etc even if we weren't late. We tried to get out within the 5 days the contract said we could and when I called I was told I'm unable to get out of it. We've paid over 10k on this scam! Horrible! Horrible people to do this to families!

Please add us to the lawsuit. Jennifer Raitz and Larry Boggs. We have been scammed by Starpoint Resorts and have never been able to use the resorts and have been charged huge fees and late charges. We are paying a company to help us get out of this Timeshare costing us even more money but it will be totally worth every penny.

I just blocked the auto payments and when they called told them I was only going to talk to them if I can record the conversation. The said that they were recording so I didn't need to and they don't consent to being recorded. Well in most of the United States of AMERICA its only a 1party notice so they just don't want to be recorded to be caught in a lie. They claimed that they would send me to collection but its been a year and no collection notice. (Disclaimer that is not legal advice but I'd rather fight a collection agency that has to PROVE that I owe anything.) After doing that about 5 times they stopped calling. They still send me letters but that is just another scam tactic they use to try to steal your hard earned money for a horrible "club membership."

I am absolutely livid with the way GEO Holiday timeshare has treated me and my family. During our presentation, we were told that we could use our RCI membership with both of the timeshares we owned. However, this turned out to be a complete lie. When we tried to make a reservation at one of the locations, we were told that our RCI membership was not valid there.
It is completely unacceptable for a company to lie to their customers in order to make a sale. We trusted GEO Holiday when we purchased our timeshares, and they have completely violated that trust. Not only have they lied to us, but we also do not want to be associated with a company that has such immoral business practices.
Therefore, we are demanding the immediate cancellation of our timeshare with GEO Holiday. We do not want to continue doing business with a company that has shown us such disrespect and dishonesty. We expect a full refund for our purchase and will be seeking legal action if necessary.
It is time for GEO Holiday to take responsibility for their actions and treat their customers with the respect they deserve. We hope that our complaint will result in both our cancellation and changes to their business practices.

It's April 2023 and we have been trying to get out of this "timeshare" with Sapphire/Star point Resort. We've paid in full and have been making maintenance payments every year and and NEVER been able to use the timeshare. What a scam. I'm not saying all timeshare companies are bad, but this one is horrible. At this point I am willing to just give it away so I don't have to keep paying fees for something I can't use.
All the comments here happened to me. I paid the timeshare off last year to stop the payments from draining my account. I have had this scam timeshare since 2015 and have never once been able to use it or the RCI component. I stopped paying the maintenance fee this year and am now receiving late notices and increased fees.
I recently got a letter of a Notice of Default and a Claim of Lien that I am in default of the maintenance fees. It states that I will be foreclosed upon in 30 days if the fees are not paid. The letter states the privileges to the Membership and repossession of the credits in lieu of pursuing any deficiency against me. They can have this worthless membership.
It does state that I will still be responsible for the purchase money note, which I paid for already.
I'll keep you updated. My other option is to pay a timeshare lawyer twice the amount I paid for it and wait two to three years for a resolution.

We are in the exact situation. Rushed throught the process and wasnt told it was real time share. Given two free supposedly free trips which were not free and never got the chance to take becaise they wanted deposits uo front, forfeit poinys becuase no availability when we want to vacation. Never knew maintenance fee was separate thought it was inckuded in the monthly rate we was paying. Paid the mortgage off trying to get our finances back under control and then few months later received a bill for $800 called sapphire told them I received a bill but had already paid it off then was told its maintenance and you have speak toa different department. I was transferred, and explained to the next person we couldn't afford this and it was clear at the time.of purchase this was not include and it was separate. I told her we didn't want this but she said we couldnt get rid of it unless we sold it back or transfer it to someone else, she was supposed to send me the transfer forms but never happened. They started calling for collections and finally I spoke to someone about the fees and I could afford to pay, he said well we will send to a collection agency I said ok but they cant get what I dont have. He futher go on to say they will work with me but I needed to pay half now and other half in the mext 30 days and I am not allowwd to transfer until its current and they do not buy back. I said ok but I can't pay that right now so he went on to threaten me agin well I just mark you as refuse to pay. I said its a difference in refusing or can't pay. I just threw away money I needed for bills when I paid $10,000 for a ghost property that doesn't really exsit does that sound like someone that doesnt want to pay? I finally got tieed of the argument back and forth and said do what you have to and hung up. This week I received a letter same as you did about my membership being forfeited but still responsible for any montery obligations. I have no idea what that means and waiting to speak with someone.

We went sapphire In branson missouri we Was talked into joining and signing a contract but was not told everything about it. So I called the number they gave me to try to cancel and I told me. I could not cancel it and I said well I will just stop payment and they. Said that they would garnish our wages? Does anybody know what I can do?
This is where they got me too! Branson MO. A single Mom working my [censored] off. I asked a lot of questions & wrote stuff down. These people just out right lied to my face! I woke up to $924 taken from my account this morning and I dont know why. Im assuming maintenance fee that they told me was $655 a year and would not come out until January 2024! I wrote it down. I just bought this July 26, 2023, paid $900 down..ive made the payments...so no reason to be taking my bill money from my account. They lied straight to my face! I purposefully asked when the maintenance fee would come out bc I would have to have time to pay that! I want out of this & somehow I am getting out of it! And they gave me this big package to leave with...my contract is not in it. All those papers I signed...I never got a copy. How is any of this [censored] legal? You are suppose to get a copy of a contract you sign... she sealed the envelope!

I go to these all the time...went to one today in Orlando for this company knowing dam well we weren't buying anything...my buddy used to work for these dodgy company's...They offered 125$ for 90 mins of our time...we go to these all the time if they are offering money...so if it's any help...We are out here taking the cash from these sideways companies and sleeping just fine at night...and folks...if something sounds to good to be true...it probably is...stay vigilant my friends
Side note...if a company is handing out meals and 100 plus dollars for your time...they are making cash hand over fist for the lies they tell...again...I say go to all of them you can if they are offering money wether you buy or not... atleast take the cash from these companies...I assure you...they have plenty

We even sent a certified letter to them canceling it before we ever even registered and they said it was past 5 days from the presentation and can't be canceled. Presentation was misleading, lies on top of lies, and pressured into it because they make you feel interrogated
Hello I was also a victim of the Star point time share it's a big scam... I have paid over 3,000.00 and I can't even use it. Promised a free trip but you have to pay for it. Taxes that are almost 600.00. This is a shame how they are taking advantage of people.
