On January 23rd around 6 pm, my little brother order a Kit-kat milkshake. At the bottom of the milkshake there were small pieces of butterfinger. I'm sure they just happened to get mixed together but this carelessness is not acceptable. My brother is severely allergic to peanuts and had a reaction. This is a very common and serious allergy. Please be more careful!

I placed an order today 1/23/18 at 11:27 am Central to be picked up at 12. It took 9 minutes for anyone to ask us what we are here for and it is now 12:17 our order still is t ready and you have people in the kitchen not even wearing gloves. I'm just annoyed. I took the time to get my order ahead I only have 30 minutes for lunch and I won't even get that today. The was at the 207 N Anderson Ln Hendersonville Tn location. It is now 12:19 and still no orde ready

I took my family to the steak and shake in Leesburg fl last night. 7 in total. My burger was the Wisconsin cheddar. It came out a plain cheeseburger nothing on it. My girlfriend's food was cold. My mother in law ordered Apple sauce and relieved fries. My niece and nephew ordered Apple sauce and got fries. How do u tell a 4 and 5yr old they can't have them once it's in front of them? Every single server was rude. We waited 1 he for 2 shakes. Our server was great. But it wasn't her section, the other girl didn't want us. Last time I went here 7yrs ago was just as horrible. I used to love your business but even the food is disgusting bc the employees don't care. Ty and good bye.

I'm a very patient person. My friend and I got there at around 2am (this page is mislabeled) and could see it would be a tad busy. We walked inside and waited for around 5 min to be acknowledged to take our seat. We then waited another 15 just to be asked what we wanted to drink. That should have been our sign right there, but, trying to be nice (she told us she was rather new), we waited.
We then placed our orders and waited some more. Mind you, we work at Walmart overnight and only have 1 hour for lunch (now down to about 35 minutes). We waited until our lunch break was up, and even another 5 minutes or so courtesy, and still never got our food, so I left money for my sweet tea (which wasn't even sweet) and we left.
I don't base judgment on one bad experience, but this was the second time in 3 trips in the last 6 weeks that it happened. Not to mention my family usually has bad experiences there when they visit me.
I've worked food. I would just think an eating establishment just down the road from Walmart, as well as adjacent to a few hotels, would prepare their staffing a lot better for the weekends when they are open overnight. But hats their last chance for my money.

The Steak n' Shake in Willoughby, Ohio has terrible service. I went there recently and there were tables open and it wasn't even busy. I had to wait 15 minutes to be seated while workers just walked around not doing anything and staring at all the people lining up at the door. And the server only came to take our order and give us food and didn't bring our check.

My girlfriend and I walked in and the hostess asked for my name. I told her my name and she wrote it down. Then we proceeded to wait 30 minutes before anybody acknowledged we were even there. I told them we waited 30 minutes while 10-15 couples were seated before us. I told them manager and he knew my frustration, and shrugged it off like I was nothing.

today we came to the Hamburg steak and shake and were seated by the manager. Three different staff members walked by during the course of about 15 minutes and did not ask if we had been helped. we waited another 5 minutes before our entire order was taken. No one apologized for us for our wait and we were simply asked "so are you ready?" Literally met the rudest manager ever and I can't make this up.
I went in to go eat. No one came to seat me however I saw alejandro so I went to go say hi to him and this african american lady just lost her [censor]. Telling me to back up from him and questioning who i'm there for. Like you got 4 employees sitting at the bar and you're talking to them while i'm standing at the "wait" sign and then I over hear her say to alejandro "well he could be trying to kill you who knows"

My boyfriend and I went to SNS in Farmington, MO tonight. When we got there we were seated properly and in a timely manner. We waited about 5 minutes for a waiter to come get our drinks. After that, the waitress didn't come back. Inbetween those times, someone else refilled our drinks and brought us our food. Also, a different waitress asked us if we were doing okay, when our waitress was nowhere to be found. After waiting literally 15 minutes AFTER we finished our food, we saw our waitress back out on the floor and had to stop her to ask for shakes. It took about 8 minutes for our shakes and she didnt even bring our shakes to us. The part that really irritates me is that our shakes were brought to us in to-go cups. If we wanted shakes to go we could have gotten up and paid for our meal and ordered them then. It is 40° outside, we did NOT want shakes to go. We felt rushed out of the resturaunt and felt like a burden to be in there. Completely disappointed in this service quality and restuant as a whole.

I visited Steak N Shake 2355 North Point Ct, Alpharetta, GA 30022 today and was not happy with my visit.
I rarely eat fast food, very rarely. But, like I said only thing open and my husband was craving burgers. Walking in smelled like grease. The location looked filthy and this was just eye balling it. Headed in to the restrooms and not happy with what I saw. Nothing related to the uneducated customer can be but the actual bathroom in itself is not kept clean. Back outside the booths, the table, walls, menus, and even the disposable paper placemats were just disgusting. I had to use a napkin to grab the menu.
Server was extremely nice, they were understaffed so he was outstanding at keeping everything under control. As for me, it was very hard to make a choice because again I am not fond of fast food restaurants. I decided to go with the Chili Mac. When it arrived I immediately lost my appetite and I was starving. There was basically no chili, it was a plate over flowing with spaghetti and 3 tablespoons of I guess "chili" thrown on top. This was not a well presented meal, It honestly looked like dog food. I certainly do not think anyone should be served anything like I was today.

While sitting with my husband at the bar, the General manager of Brandon's Steak 'n Shake told my husband, AN EMPLOYEE, that if he wasn't clocking in yet that he had to remove his bow tie and apron because she didn't want anyone to know he worked there. This was the finally straw of that store! I haven't had a visit where I didn't have to complain about bad service, cold food, or bad manager! She shouldn't be the manager there! A general manager should NOT disrespect an employee anywhere ESPECIALLY in front of guests and other employees!
Most restaurants do not allow employees to sit in the dining room, wearing their uniforms. It looks bad to the public, as it promotes the image that employees are goofing off instead of serving customers. The manager is NOT in the wrong, you are!

I ordered a plain steak burger and I got one w everything on it and when I called and told the crew my issue they hung up on me. They said there was no manager working. They didn't tell me their name but it was a man speaking. I don't understand how there's no manager running the shift? Who is even in charge if there is no manager working. Maybe if there was a manager my order would've been right.

Today, Monday, January 15th 2018 I went into the Evanston Location. The guy whom interviewed me flat out did not even won't to shake my hand. Being an African American Lesbian Female honestly my feelings were hurt. You could tell by the shift and every word said was hesitant coming out of his mouth. At the end he lied and said they would look over my resume then went on to saying he will have to decline my offer. The offer I never accepted or given to accept. Everything about the interview was discrimination and while at my lowest trying to find a job that hurts.
I was dressed in a white button up and brown dress pants black shoes, professional no piercings or anything.. not sure what you are even talking about. It was discrimination as I said.
I’m an lesbian female as said. Appears to be a “stud” in the relationship... dressed appropriate, advanced experience and more than customer-friendly. Seems like I went in a little to customer-friendly seeing that he couldnt even shake my hand.

The 2 Steak and Shake restaurants in Reno Nevada are terrible. Employees are Nazis, rude, deprecating, belittling, like nasty corrections officers. They think they can push people around and treat customers like [censor]. These type of employees ruin Steak and Shakes reputation. The owners (Great Basin, Inc) of this company are money hungry, selfish and raping the general public with the farce of their business. Corporate headquarters needs to investigate this operation and disenfranchise the owners. It is truly BAD, see for yourself.
drive through argued with us about our shake order
We had a lot of shakes to ordered and didn't not mind waiting for them since we had 7 shakes to order (4 cookies n cream, 2 Nutella, and one butterfinger) and when they came out they were missing 2 Nutella so we were nice about it and just kindly told them we were missing them and the worker told us she didn't see that in the ordering screen and we replied that we don't know anything about what the screen said but we told the drive through worker we wanted them, then she told us we were only charged for the other and not the missing two so we said we would pay the for the missing shakes. She then proceeded to argue with us for some reason that it wasn't the problem of paying for them that it was that we didn't order them and we were just so dumbfounded at the way she was talking to us we just said ok well we want to order 2 Nutella shakes and she sighed and said ok and left back into the restaurant. This is the second time we've been to this specific Steak ‘n Shake where we've received bad customer service and I work in the food industry as a server so I can understand some certain things and try to be as simple and easy as possible because I know what it's like but both occasions we have done nothing wrong just minor mistakes that we kindly tell them and they get mad and blame it on us.
wildwood fl location
On Jan 5th we stopped at the Wildwood FL location for take out. After waiting in line for 20min to order we finally got our turn. While waiting in line I noticed that none of the staff preparing food were wearing hairnets. Also there was orders up at the window that sat there the entire 20min we were waiting in line. Then watched as a waitress remembered and delivered the food, that had been sitting there 20min, to a table.
After ordering 2 regular fries and a sandwich it took 30min for our order to be completed. The restaurant was half empty, the drive thru was closed, and not very busy but the staff seemed unable to keep up. People began to ask for there money back with some tables saying they had been waiting 45min to be served. There seemed to be no reason for the back log. When we finally got our food the sandwich was a mess and slopped together carelessly.
I just thought that this information should be shared in order to resolve whatever problems led to this location having such awful service. I hope that steps will be taken there to ensure better outcomes in the future.

We have been regular customers at the Ellisville Mo location for many years. Recently service has been downhill for a couple of months now and very disappointed. Last week we were charged $5.00 more than what the bill should of been and on top of that the manager (Kathy) put a $6.00 tip on a bill of $13.00. Kathy then said she refunded my money back and charged me the correct total. A week later never saw a refund. So as regulars we visited again a week later, Kathy the manager was there service was terrible again a loud humming noise throughout the store soda was flat and service took over 25 minutes and they were cooking only our food. Needless to say we are severing our ties with this steak and shake and you might really look into a different manager you think she would of comp our drinks or something. Thanks
30 minutes to get food
We went to the Steak and Shake on Mt. Zion rd., Florence, Ky on Jan.. 11, 2018. We sat down and a server took our order right away. We waited and waited. No one stopped by the table to check on us. No one asked us if we needed a refill. We just sat there while the servers were yelling across the dining room at each other about some other server's tips and how so and so doesn't bus their tables! Terrible atmosphere and awful service. We finally got our food 30 minutes later. Just disgusted. We will not be eating at Steak and Shake ever again!
