Poor conduct
Watched Dr. Strange tonight, when booking your ticket it states no children under 13 allowed. The movie starts and there's a woman with a 3 year old boy in the cinema, the child cannot sit still for the entirety of the movie and ends up crying and moving around trying to amuse themselves. Another gentlemen in front of me is trying to record and take photos of the movie with their phone. Another group is having conversations next while the movie is on. Iv spoken with the n1 manager about my experience after the movie was over and was advised that I should leave the cinema to go and complain so she could remove them, however I'd then miss out on 10 or 15 min of a movie that I paid full price for and also causing a scene for other people. I feel the level of respect for the cinemas has gone down and I'm utterly disgusted by my experience
Desired outcome: I'd like a response from someone higher than the n1 manager , explaining to me how I this is going to be handled
Movie Showtime at Brooklyn Commercial
We had booked our tickets online a good week before showtime and choose the time at 14:00 on Friday. To our astonishment, the movie had started 30-40 mins before the booked showtime (13:00 to 13:30). They decided to not inform the customers of this issue! For this reason, a lot of us lost our money and wasted our day. This is absolutely ridiculous that the cinema decided to start the movie before its booked time just to nock off early and use load shedding as an excuse. We remained in Brooklyn, there was no load shedding.
If an issue does arise, make sure to inform the clients or customers of any changes. Since they are the people to watch the movie and enjoy the day.

Took 2 autistic disabled children out of movie while I as mother were in bathroom
This incident happens on 7 th of April 2022 at 14:00.
I have 2 autistic adults with disabilities that on a very regular basis visit the movie ar POLOKWANE
I as the parent went to the bathroom
When I come out of the bathroom the manager took the children out of the cinema, without my permission. They were just standing there with shock.
They were standing there and don’t know why she took them out
I want to lay a complain against her for just taking those children out of the movie and why don’t understand why
She is totally rude
All the other personnel at POLOKWANE is always kind towards this 2 children because they know them
Please investigate because who give her the right to took my children out of the movie while they innocently watch the movie

Due to having a family member testing positive I have informed Ster kinekor. I was promised a refund and to date have not received anything.

Ster Kinekor is known for there amazing butter salt and recently it has been changed to a new horrible butter salt and was not happy about my popcorn at all.
The old butter salt must come back.
Pathetic service blue route
So i booked myself, husband and 6 friends tickets at Blue route last night. Customer service is [censored], the staff don't greet or acknowledge customers, only one person helping and lines getting longer, served us all old and burnt popcorn, all the years when buying upsize combo you received big sweets now they rip you off and give u small ones so why upsize then? 3 idiots standing to scan ur tickets to go into cinema not one know how to greet not one of them even took note, no directing to the cinema... Im disgusted in the pathetic service...

I booked tickets on Monday for Tuesday, 08 February 2022. The movie my partner and i were supposed 2 watch was Scream 5 at 12pm. We walked into the cinema after buying snacks and some guy comes in saying that the projector isnt working. He said we could either watch another movie or get out tickets back but that is not the damn point! Why wasnt there a back up? We put in leave and no alternative plan was made. Why wasnt theres a back up projector or was it because we were the only two in the movies. I asked the guy, what about the snacks and he said u can eat it... no sympathy or any empathy but im absolutely disgusted and will be taking this further if nt problem is not resolved!
Desired outcome: I want to be reimbursed for the snacks i bought and complimentary tickets.

I had booked tickets on Saturday 15th January 2022, of which I had called in to cancel for my wife and i could not make the time, I however rebooked for the next day. I have been awaiting my refund for the past 8days and each time i call the call -center, i am told the same thing ( "It takes 5-7 working days"). I am now getting annoyed at this nonsense. When we book, our money is taken the same time from the account, SO WHY DO WE HAVE TO CRY FOR IT TO BE REFUNDED INTO OUR ACCOUNTS .My ticket number is WGR66PP . I request this money back promptly or else I will spread this complaint far and wide.

Extremely poor staff and service delivery
Hi, you can find my complaint on hello Peter. Somerset West Sterkinekor has most pathetic service delivery out there. It's absolutely shocking how incompetent the staff are.they have no desire to deliver service at all, they literally don't care.
I wanted to buy popcorn, NO ONE said popcorn and drinks are purchased TOGETHER with the tickets. I was directed by a staff member to go back and buy just to see my husband already purchased.
So I was charged R180 EXTRA because the staff who directed me back to the machine refuses to refund the slip for the popcorn. They didn't even make it but I was forced to pay and denied a refund or voucher. Please train your staff so that they actually knows what's going on and don't refer customers incorrectly because it cost me R180. I was just trying to take my special needs son to a movie but it seems nobody cares anymore.
I suggest to all people considering going to sterkinekor turn right around and walk away. Sterkinekor service is PATHETIC! I'LL NEVER GO Back AND I'LL BE SURE TO TELL EVERYONE!
Sterkinekor please either train your staff correctly or just close your doors because I have never experienced such horrible service. I even spoke to the manager who could not give less of a damn.

At the counter I was told they don't have stock available and they said they weren't able to refund me. After arguing with them for a while I missed the beginning of the show. I gave my contact details to the manager by the name of Gadija. It's been 2 weeks and still nobody made contact with me. Refunding of ticket and stink attitude of staff
My kids went to the movies at promenade mitchells plain and my youngest wasnt allowed in. However children younger was allowed in. And staff was plain idiots with regards to refunding the ticket saying we must call customer service. When my older son went to get popcorn he was met with another idiot that gave him a dirty look and walked away and asked someone else to serve him.
This is pathetic and I will never allow my kids to go to ster kinekor again. Hire people that can assist and people with better attitudes

I refunded my tickets for Spider-Man no way home a total of R184 on Friday 3 December 2021and I emailed Ster kinekor the next day they said I should wait 5 days and I did but still nothing reflected on my account and I went to the bank they said there was no transactions done I tried emailing them again today on Monday 13 December 2021but they said it's my bank

Dear Sir/madam,
I took six people to watch the shang -chi movie last Friday.
An aircon of something made a ticking noise through out the whole movie.Making this a rather unpleasant experience.
I felt as though i was watching an old film reel ticking over.
For the cost involved this was not acceptable quality at a fairly new cinema.

No Service!
I booked 2 movie & Snacks tickets on 3 October at 17:30 (Booking Ref. no WW9W3L3)
@ Vanderbijlpark, Ster-Kinekor.
When I arrived the power was out. One of the workers at SK said we must re-book by contacting the Contact center by e-mail.
On 4 October I sent a mail and got a automated reply, stating that the SK team will contact me asap. (Ref. CAS-257726-D3G4B9)
2 Days later...I still waited for a call or reply. On 6 October at 13:00 I phoned SK and held on for someone to speak to, for about 10 minutes. They guy took my reference number and said SK will e-mail me an Voucher within an hour! (He even confirmed my mail address)
It is more than 25 hours later, and still no mail or voucher!
Please help!

Good day I was chosen as a winner for a online competition on FB Platform and was asked to send my details via DM, which I did and was informed about it on the 26th April 2021. To date, I have not received any information regarding my prize, what it entails or any other information.
The companies social media pages are not monitored and messages are not addressed or responded to.
I received a message on the 16th of May via FB Messenger saying that not all winners have replied hence the delay. Since this date, I have not had any feedback despite my constant messaging on all social platforms. I have complained openly on Twitter and their FB pages and no one has taken my complaint or even bothered to reply to me.
Desired outcome: Id like Ster Kinekor to just confirm what I won and deliver my prize and also to apologise for their poor serivce.

Absolutely filthy..rancid stinking theaters...our luck that the lights were on when we entered..which was almost immediately switched off..we got a quick glimpse of what the seats look like..shockingly filthy...the smell was like something died in there...had to stick it out for my little one
We were in cinema 5 for the 4:15 show of Tom and Jerry on the 3rd of April 2021.

Hi this is Mari-lize Basson me and my husband had a very bad experience at the Secunda mall Ster Kinekor on Sunday 2020/11/15. We bought tickets to watch The Doorman at 12.30. We went in to cinema 3 at 12.25 we had to clean the seats before we could sit then I smell a strong urine smell I called the man at the counter he send a lady to come and see. When she put the lights on it was shocking to see how dirty it was she called a person to clean I asked her if we could move down the seats but the smell was so bad I had to get out. My husband ask to speak to the manager he asked for a refund as I was now sick to my stomach. The lady did the refund on my debit card but today is the 17th and I still have not received the money back in my account. I am very disappointed in Ster Kinekor and my experience.

To whom it may concern,
We went to watch Harley Quin Birds of Prey and there was technical problems with the sound in the cinema while watching the movie.. It Happened 3 times and they could not fix the sound, ruined the whole movie. It was very dissapointing to walk out the cinema not even enjoyed the movie we went to go and watch on valentines day. Ster-Kinekor should really look in to the issue that the technical department cant fix the sound in the cinema when it needs to be done.

Good Morning
I purchased 2 tickets on Saturday 01/02/2020 to watch Bad boys at gateway cinema and the cashier gave me 2 tickets for the 02/02/2020 without checking the dates.
When I went at 11.30am to check in to watch the movies I was told I purchased the tickets for tomorrow so I immediately saw the manager who was not much help.
I went down to the cashier to change my tickets they said they will refund my money via EFT and that I have to purchase another 2 tickets and pay again what if I never had any money to watch the movie (I took my son along who turned 16 on the 01/02/2020 he would have been disappointed)
This is unacceptable I was thing of putting this on social media
