Super 8 unhealthy room

I booked into room 149 at Super 8 by Wyndham Indianapolis at 450 South Bixler Rd on Wednesday July 31 for one night. After entering and inspecting the room I called front desk and asked to be moved due to: room smelled like mold, the carpets were in an atrocious state, in bathroom there were really bad mold against the ceiling and on the bathtub. Front desk clerk told me he can't move me since all the rooms looked like that but would give me $5 reimbursement. Called manager today to request full reimbursement but he would only give 50% which is unacceptable. This room should absolutely not be given out at all and I reported to Health Dept Marin County Indianapolis.

Super 8 ripoff

We made a reservation online at the Super 8 Motel located at US Highway 17 Bypass South Myrtle Beach South Carolina based on picture and service description. The reservation was made for 3nights and the cost was $ 503.97. Soon after we checked in and enter the room we observe the filthy and disgusting condition of the bathroom and of the room. The carpet was dirty that after stepping on the bottom of the feet were black . Conditions like these are unaccetable
in this country and to us the customers. The advertising mention free breakfast and that was another jokeThe bathroom in the lobby was full of urine and unbereable smell. Front desk attendant very unprofessional. The front desk provided us with the key to another room .

Super 8 hotel service

I booked my room for two days and today while we were gone, the housekeeping staff neglected to clean our room. The only items removed were the dirty towels. Trash was left untouched, neither bed was made nor were there clean linens. And the new towels were just thrown on the rack above the toilet. I am upset that I paid as much money as I did for the hotel stay only to receive poor housekeeping and customer service.

Super 8 hotel stay

Hotel room was filthy. Fridge did not work. Air conditioning did not work. Ross, manager, brought a smaller mini fridge but said he couldn't do anything about the air conditioning and to open windows. (Its 100 degrees...) holes in the walls, dirty bathroom, filthy door and doorway. Toilet didn't flush. Sticky drink rings on the bedside table. Tv broken and satellite was "down". There is underwear wrapped around the smoke detector. Cigarette burns in the pillow case. Ross was rude and unapproachable. I called to ask about a new fridge and the air and was placed on hold which he never returned from. I called Priceline and they called him. He stated we had been there for an hour and he couldn't refund us anything. Not even partial compensation for the lack of amenities promised in advertisement. The pictures advertised are NOT what you get at all. I will never stay with Super 8 again if this is not corrected.

Super 8 billed for a night not spent due to multiple online booking errors not corrected

Traveling from Michigan to California, my wife and I were informed of savings for becoming a Wyndham Rewards member. Being that we already slept two nights at Wyndham hotels and expected many more stays with them in the near future, we enrolled. Problems began right away, nights spent didn't register on our membership, rooms had reserved multiple times as single occupancy and for handicapped rooms. We encountered so much frustration while booking through the Wyndham Rewards that we finally decided it best to call ahead and speak directly with a representative the intended motel. So, for the last night of our trip we called Super 8 located in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. We told the clerk our intentions to stay the night of June 23 and we were Wyndham Rewards members. He immediately told us it was cheaper to make the reservation thru Wyndham online even though we told him of all problems we had incurred in the past doing so. So we booked our reservation online only to find again, multiple errors with the reservation. We called Super 8 immediately back and spoke to the same person, informed him of the errors and were told not to worry, any errors would be taken care of upon our arrival. So we arrive in Fitchburg the following day and are told we have no reservation for that day. Further investigation, we are enlightened, the room had reserved for the day prior to our arrival and we have been billed for a nights stay! We are billed for a room while we are some 300 miles away while we are in Kearney, Nebraska, calling ahead to be sure no mistakes develop by booking a room thru Wyndham Rewards online! When contacted, Wyndham says they cannot correct the situation and we must ask to be credited by Super 8. Super 8 says credit needs to be issued by Wyndham. These two companies do not communicate with each other, neither company admits wrong and leaves the customer with best wishes. I have asked Visa to look into my situation. I will spread this story and word about this lack of customer service and care and boycott both Super 8 and Wyndham Motels!

Super 8 big bites

My husband and I I stayed at super eight in Uniontown on Saturday July 21st in room #123 and the following day we woke up to a bug crawling on our mattress I let the front desk know upon checkout. I also called when we got home on Sunday July 22nd, she said she would call the exterminator. I called again on Monday July 23rd and was told nothing was found. I have bites and the pictures to prove something is in that room.

Super 8 bed bugs

Hey. I got a room last night at the Super 8 in Covington Ga with my daughter. I woke up this morning changing my daughters clothes and I saw red spots on her. So I proceeded to check the bed and right by her was a bed bug. That is very nasty and unprofessional. Just completely unacceptable. There needs to be pest control inside of these rooms and changing of linen and covers. I can only imagine what's in the other rooms. If I didn't have to be to work early this morning I would've spoke to the manager about this. That's a health risk and the company should do something about this ASAP.

Super 8 hotel stay

The extremely unfriendly owner/receptionist took 15 minutes to appear while my husband kept ringing the phone as there was no one in the front desk (there was a black phone that you're supposed to ring if no one's present). The man looked irritated & annoyed to see us. He deliberately took forever to check us in into the farthest & smallest rooms with unmade beds. He tried to harass us by asking for a mastercard that he said we booked the hotel with. He wanted the very same credit card that I had used for booking. When I gave him that very card, he said it has to be a mastercard. He wouldn't accept the visa card. It was all very confusing to us.
He didn't give us queen beds even though they were available. He lied through his teeth that all rooms were booked, while there was just one car in the parking lot other than 2 of ours. The entire motel smelled very moldy. There were no elevators. The window screens are tattered like i've never seen before. It's an extremely old building without any sort of maintenance.
He eventually gave us 2 rooms with queen beds after an altercation. So you see, he was just harassing us for the heck of it. The towels had holes, the ceiling had water damage marks everywhere. They advertise free wifi, but we couldn't get any wifi connection there. The breakfast was a joke with a couple of frozen waffles left at room temperature & some horrible looking cinnamon rolls. The waffles looked bitten... Ewww! We didn't touch the ghastly breakfast. We barely spent the night there (7 hours) and left this god forsaken motel at daybreak.
The owner/ receptionist shouldn't be allowed anywhere near anything related to the hospitality industry. I'll contact wyndham too to relate my experience to them.

Super 8 hotel room not being handicap accessible

July 3-July 10. My 77 yr old mother, my brother and myself stayed at the Super 8 in Pigeon Forge Tennessee on Pickle St. When my mother made the reservations she asked for a handicap accessible room on the ground floor. As stated above my mother is 77 yrs old and she is overweight and has troubles getting around. The room that they gave us wasn't on the ground floor it was on the second floor and it was the second to the last room down the hall way from the elevator. When we walked into the room the beds set so high off the floor she couldn't get up on the bed. I went down to the desk and asked if they had a step stool so she would be able to get up and down out of the bed. I was told no that he would message the manager and have him bring one the following day. I asked what was suppose to be done in the mean time and he told me to go get a plastic table from the pool area. I highly don't think so is exactly what I told the clerk. Needless to say the night wasn't pleasant because she had to stand on top of her suitcase to get in and out of bed. And my brother and I didn't sleep much worried about her falling throughout the night. The next day they did bring a stool again it was way to high for any elderly person or overweight person to use, plus it had wheels on it, which would roll out from underneath her. We ended up going to Wal-Mart and buying a stool for her to use. Then there is not safety bars in the shower/bathroom at all. There was also a rain storm and water ran into the room from around the a/c unit and left a bunch of water on the floor where it leaked in. We were not the only customers complaining about the hotel not being handicap accessible. We paid close to $1000 for the days were were there and it is ridiculous that our mother had to subjected to this. I do know that she has called someone and they more or less told her that there isn't anything that can be done to compensate for the treatment endured. Which I believe some kind of a partial refund should be given. Along with the hotel designating a few room for the handicapped. Because of this problem and the responses we have gotten we refuse to give our business to Super 8 in the future. I have also posted on trip advisor that the hotel is not handicapped accessible and not to stay there. The room was under Duane Leasure. You may contact Rosie David at [protected]. For all further information.

Super 8 super 8, sidney ny

A brief employment with this company for myself and my husband has left a most bitter after taste. The manager is unprofessional and rude. Along with what seems to be vendictive. My husband Anthony, worked there for about 3 weeks before I did. She seemed eager to have him on board. She knew he had appointments, that legally he couldn't miss and at first seemed to work around it.Also she was leaving him food in the fridge as well, when he would work late shifts. However my second day of working there, (and last) she was quite the opposite. She told my husband, loudly and rudely, in front of guests that he could either work or quit it get fired. His appointment was a legal obligation, one of which could cause severe reprocussions. So he chose "to quit" but came to talk to me, his wife. She followed along the hallway and proceeded to tell us customer s were complain that we were talking about the situation, which she had already blasted to the public out front. I was crying and upset. After Anthony left, she came right back down the hallway and started talking with me about it, in front of guests, after we had just been told we couldn't. She later spoke with my husband, requesting a written apology, to consider re-hire because a verbal one wasn't good enough for her, and she refused to apologise for her actions either. My husband opted not to do it, and just decided there was better opportunity out there, then to work in such an environment. I know it is a business, but a bunch of people there seem to be related and it was only an issue because he and I were married. Further more, when we called about our checks, she and quote to Anthony "yours is in the mail and your wife will not get hers because she didn't keep track of her hours" while I am sure she will say differently, head of house keeping taped my hours to her office door, where for the two days I was there, I wrote "time in" "lunch" and "time out" with the accurate time underneath, as I had no fingerprint accessibility yet. I quit my job out of there discust with this situation. While my co workers in housekeeping were exceptional, Ms. Hublitz was not. We feel she is very unprofessional and rude. It's hard enough for a husband and wife to work for the same company. Let alone have the manager treat us and our marriage like it had no place, and try and play us against each other, for which she gained nothing, because they lost 2 great employees. Also, to keep our pay, and making up stories to my husband about my pay. I don't work for free, I would never not keep that noted. And right in the middle of Vesna's door. So if anything happened to it, makes me wonder what she did to it. Trying to make us suffer, for what? We were just trying to earn money, so we could survive the summer. But that's not happening. I will never recommend that specific hotel to anyone. Sincerely, Anthony and Amy Hoyt

We got to room went in with our key. got ready to leave for dinner forgot something in our room and went back to get in and key wouldnt work. we drove to front desk and got a new key. we drove back to room key didnt work. drove back to office and manager said would meet us at room. none of his keys would work. he said would have fixed by the time we got back. we went to casino and ate and got back around 11:00 pm. tried key it would not work drove back to office. he said would meet us at room. NONE of his keys worked again he finally got us in with a metal key. However we never got a key that worked. so we had to leave door open at breakfast and while packing stuff in car because he could never get card keys to work. This was very inconveinent for us all through our stay. hotel very run down and smelled mildew.

Super 8 gatlinburg hotel

I made reservations over a month ago for Friday July 13 and 14th. At this time I called the hotel directly to ask if they had a pool. They said it was under maintenance but would be ready and available at my stay. So I went ahead and booked the hotel. I am so disappointed that when I arrived the pool was not ready at any time while I was there... I have MS and part of my physical therapy is to swim daily. I would have not booked this room if I knew I would not be able to swim. I am so disappointed that my weekend was ruined. I am requesting a partial refund due to this issue.

Super 8 very rude guest

Mr Greg Dickenson is an employee of the Super 8 Canmore. Upon making his reservation for my property he did not go through the proper channels in booking his room at employee rate, speaking with him on the phone he wanted me to change his rate in my system to employee rate; I told him that I could not that as it was not protocol do to that. I informed him that if he wanted employee rate he would have to speak with his General Manager to reserve his room on the myportal manager website, as that is Wyndham's protocol. Upon his check out with us this morning (July 13) he had verbally abused my Assistant Manager with such vulgar language, to the point it made her cry. Mr Dickenson was yelling at her in my lobby (in front of my guests and other employees) because his reservation was messed up since the beginning. She then explained to him that he had to take the proper channels upon making a reservation to honour employee discount. He wasnt taking that for an answer, he was extremely rude with her and did not have the right to speak to her the way he did. Being an employee of the Wyndham Properties he should of conducted himself in a more appropriate manner and had respect for not only my staff but our property as well.

Super 8 super 8 beachside daytona beach

This is about the craziest experience I've ever had in my life. Upon arrival at 2:00 a.m. (had tried to book at Hilton and they were full), I was talking to a man at the front desk about reserving a room. He said he would not offer any discount for the fact that I was checking in so late. I also asked for a late check out and was flatly told no. My cousin had paid with his card and I had asked if there was a reduced rate if he booked 2 nights instead of just the one. The manager said yes then proceeded to say it would be 88 and 77 for the two nights. When I did the math and was told the final price was 202 something it didn't add up. The man had added a $30 something charge as a rate! Then he tried to keep my $50 cash for a deposit and charge my cousin's card $50 as well! Totally unscrupulous but I was exhausted so I went to my room. The man at the front desk repeatedly (no exaggeration he must've repeated seven times) that if there was any riff raff or if I had an extra guest he would charge my cousin's card the $50. I was aggravated at the repetition but went to my room to sleep. At around 6am I was woken by loud yelling. I went out in my balcony to see a lady was on her balcony (2nd floor) screaming that someone had stolen her purse and the she proceeded to jump off the damn balcony! The same man who had checked us in came out and was trying to pull the woman off of the property and move her instead of calling for an ambulance. I actually have a video of the entire event. I had to have my boyfriend call the police because the manager literally didn't even call them. The entire property is rampant with drug addicts, prostitutes, panhandlers. Then later on the same morning I had been in bed (birthday suit) and housekeeping knocked I loudly And clearly said no thank you please do not come in. 2 seconds later the housekeeping woman came into the room and said do you need any towels as I laid there naked next to my boyfriend who was also naked. The next night that we stayed the same man who had checked us in was standing next to our balcony on the ground. I had been listening to music at a respectable volume because it was about 10:00 p.m. No sooner had I went back into our room that I received a phone call on the room phone and the man had said I was yelling. I can't help but think that he said this in preparation to charge my cousin's card The $50 deposit. This is the most sketch and scary hotel I have ever stayed at. The pics included show The guy who checked me in is the one with the blue shirt on and black shorts. In the picture you can see him pointing and telling the people assisting the woman who jumped to leave. I asked for a refund for the $30 difference since the guy lied about how much it qas and they gave me $17. Then I was told the $50 deposit will be reimbursed which it should have anyways because I didn't do anything. I am a local travel blogger and I am going to post these pictures and videos on my blog and everywhere. I should be comped for 2 free nights at a different location period. I got no sleep and was treated like absolute dirt but the owner and man who checked me in. It won't let me attach the video bc it is too large but believe I will be posting it everywhere.

Super 8 Niagara Falls North management

I booked this hotel on April 4, 2018 through a third party vendor in the US. No where in the reservation process was it made clear to me that this hotel was in Canada. (In hind site, I realize the word, "north, " was my clue, but I didn't catch that on first glance. Again, I was in the US thinking that I was making a reservation at Niagara Falls in the US.) Since this mistake was made, I have been told that it is an understandable error on my part and very common for folks making reservations at Niagara.

On the day of our reservation, while on the road, I realized we were going to have to cross the border to get there, so I called the hotel in a panic to communicate to the hotel that I had three people in the car without passports. I was told the manager was busy and asked to call back. I tried to call back three times that afternoon, with no answer. After working with the third party vendor, the manager is refusing to refund my money, claiming he will lose revenue and that it was a non-refundable reservation. I realize my mistake of booking in the wrong country and apologize for it. (I have been booking reservations for years and have never made this mistake.) I also realize it's non refundable. When I made the reservation, I thought I was making in in the US, so non refundable wasn't a problem.

The bottom line though, is customer service. Life happened. Most businesses will work with a customer when life happens. This manager didn't care and wasn't available to help me on the day I needed his help. He is also not sympathetic to the inadvertent mistake I made. He also was candid enough to share that he didn't care about a review and that he would be responding to it. When I have the privilege of traveling to Canada, I will be finding other accommodations. I'm sorry to say they have my money, even though the service I obtained was sub standard. (Not available to help, not answering phones.)

Super 8 filthy room/filthy motel

My friend & I stayed at the above Super 8 for 1 nite 7/06/18 checked out 7/07/18. If the stay would have been longer would have just checked out. The lobby was in shambles, dirty, etc and not very appealing to the eye. Our room located on the 2nd floor was a "pig pen"...filthy beyond words! Carpet not clean, electric outlets not in walls properly secured, carbon monoxide alarm dangling from electric wires, carpets shaggy & ripped. The bathroom was filthy, wallpaper pealing off, ceiling above shower pealing, cracking, white towels looked yellow. I was afraid to sleep in the bed as didn't know how clean the sheets were. We were attending a concert at the Borgota hotel so really didn't complain. So when we returned from the concert I slept in a chair for about 1 hour sitting up in my clothes. My friend slept in the bed with her clothes on. Did not shower or wash my face as didn't want to use their dilapidated looking towels. Also the area where they serve continental breakfast wasn't clean either. Looks like nothing was cleaned from the previous breakfast. And to top it off my friend got a flat tire cause the pavement for entering & exiting the parking area was uneven and had a deep hole we didn't see and her car went into it and got a flat tire due to that! We complained to the men behind the reception area but they didn't offer any compensation or even had the courtesy/professionalism to say we are sorry! I stayed at a Super 8 in Upstate NY years ago and had no problems whatsoever. But this time got a completely different experience and will never stay at another one again!

Super 8 horrible customer service

I booked a reservation with hotels.com for the Super 8 in Washington IL. It was the wrong city. I called both hotels.com and the Super 8 within just MINUTES of the mistake and simply requested to change to the Super 8 in the correct city! MINUTES! I could not believe that the manager absolutely refuses to acknowledge it was a mistake and allow me to change it. THATS SO GREEDY AND WRONG! I'm so upset!
