I purchased 144 factory refurbished XBOX 360 Pro 20 GB Core Units from techliquidators.com via an online auction. I began to sell these items in accordance to the purchasing description "Refurbished XBox 360..." The issues began shortly after- customer complaints stating that the item they received would not work due to technical issues such as RROD, etc. I either replaced the customers damaged item, or refunded their money for the entire purchase, and contacted techliquidators asking why the items were defective. They responded stating that I had purchased defective units. I then inquired as to what evidence they had supporting this, since all of my documentation stated otherwise. They could not produce any documentation supporting this, and thus changed their story to the items were purchased "as is". I contested stating that they stated that these items were "factory refurbished, like new units", which implied that they were functional, and thus this was a misrepresentation of the item, and asked for a resolution. Again they responded that I purchased defective units- to which I demanded to speak with a manager. The manager stated that the items were "as-is" and would not offer any support or assistance to my complaint. Out of the 72 units sold, over 45 were or became damaged over the past 3 months, which leads me to believe that these items were falsely advertised, and were not factory refurbished. They have since not responded to my complaints.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I bought a customer return lots of microsoft computer peripheral. Paid $6000++. When i received the lot, it doesn't even look like a customer return lot. It is more like salvage lot. the mouse is missing receiver and battery cover and original packaging. Will probably go to small claim court, BBB, if the issue is not resolved!. People, you guys can always go to small claim court, if you guys win, TECHLIQUIDATORS is responsible for all the cost incurred during the process. This is covered in the contractual provision law. http://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/attorney-fees-does-losing-side-30337.html. Let's keep them on their toe!
I purchased a lot of laptop HDD, they claimed to be customer return, Onec i received the lot, about 2/3 of the lot, filled with broken HDD. and the rest of the lot, is working but with warning from the manufacture that it is going to fail soon. So I cannot use this lot and i just have to deal with it because it is as is. DO NOT BUY FROM TECH LIQUIDATOR EVER AGAIN !
It would be nice if they has a "Customer Returned Functioning Condition", however, you have to assume a "return" is non functioning, you should expect to take it to a repair shop for the respective manufacturer. Its what taking a risk is about.
Wow some people here seem very wise and others not so.. Techliquidators has every identifiable trait of being a scam operation. I've been checking out the auction as of late, and I have to say, 1 The suggested retail prices on products are way way wayyyyy over the top! This tricks the unsavvy buyer into thinking they can make money when it designed to lose from the start. Lets use this example' Customer Returns/Used 10 iphones (4)- iphone 3GS 16GB (3)- iphone(3 8GB and (3) iphone 4
Suggested Retail Value
4 iphone 3 8GB $499
3 iphone 3GS 16GB $599
3 iphone 4 16GB $699 Grand total is $5391 in Suggested Retail Value
Now that is correct for the time these phones made their actual new release. However theirs no way in hell a iphone 3 is worth $499 today, you'd be lucky if you get 50 dollars selling on ebay or amazon. Same thing with a iphone 3GS 16GB its not worth $599 today more like $100-$120 and a iphone 4 is worth about $200-$250. This is what misleads the not so savvy buyer into thinking there's value when your doomed from the start if research is not performed, and that's the case 95% of the time..
Using the example the max that can be made is $1, 310 and the not so smart buyer will bid upto $2, 000 or more when they should only bid lets say $700 when you still have to account for shipping and possibly bank wire fees.
Now should all the not so good attention be thrown on Techliquidators? Absolutely not. But you do have to blame them for part of it because its sort of theft by deception on their part. They disclose these enourmousMSRP's when in actuallity they shouldn't even post a suggested retail value. They should instead leave it up to the buyer to do research and determine its true value so that smart buyers don't have to revert to forums to vent frustration, and also not have to read post whereas a not so smart buyer got scammed but in actuallity paid more than something was worth.
I'm not knocking the buyers that brought refurbished items, because if the item was repackaged back to manufacters specifications there should be a warranty, especially buying at damn near premium. That's a bad business practice on Techliquidators part which shall be addressed by the proper authorities and rectified.
I just left Techliquidators website and really saw disturbingly starting prices on lots that don't even have a single bid on them. 1 in particular that had no bids was 75% of their highly inflated MSRP. Its just reall ridiculous and is not made for a small business to grow but instead fail at all cost..
Save yourselves time and money people and seek alternatives.
Someone earlier asked about how safe is it buying "refurbished" or "new" products. I bought hundreds of "refurbished" bluray players, after its all said and done 2 years later, 50% were defective and also missing remotes. Never got resolution, always got the "as-is" line, even when I said Hey, this is listed as tested, guaranteed working, nope, no support.

I bid on a large load of new product at about 17-20 % and didn't win the sealed bid. I did win an auction on a small lot consisting of ( 5) New Sony Headsets at approx. 40.00 each. I bid on this small lot just to see the condition of the product. Besides having a small problem with my goods being delivered a few days late I can honestly say the Headsets that I won were all brand spanking new. The price I paid was a bit too high for resale but I bid high to win the auction to see if this Company was really delivering new product. I will be bidding on a larger lot this week and will leave another honest review for any folks interested in purchasing from this Company. I have been in the liquidation business for over 24 years and know if a Company is honestly categorizing their products. When you purchase a untouched return load you should wind up on average of anywhere from 40-75% of the product working and 10-15% new in sealed box. When you purchase a load marked Salvage and nothing works, that is what you bought SALVAGE so you can complain. If you purchase refurbished it doesn’t mean everything works but you should have a good percentage of working units and a small percentage of units with minor problems. I read some bad reviews and I think maybe some of the customers were really expecting brand new product on salvage or return auctions . So check back in a couple of weeks and I will give you a professional’s unbiased honest opinion of this Company.

I bought number of Techliquidators T.V loads, and most of them now comes 87% broken panels, there is no way you can make few units out of their loads. Most of them their techs gone through and pulled out usabel parts. Recently I bought 2 loads, one of had 48units and 43 of them broken panels, end up throwing them in bin. Most of the boxes had yellow sticker stating " Physically damaed" and who ever put these loads for auction should mention these totally broken and units. Most of the people think that they can make profit out of these loads and end up loosing their savings, this fraud should be investigated. This is a total fraud and scam. I wrote an e-mail their customer service department and no response. I kept all theri broken panels in case of RCMP investigation. You will find same type of broken panels in their BC location almost 70% less than here in Ontario. People please write here, so these guy will enentually stop their fraud/scam auctions. They covered under AS IS clause, but same token their advertiesments say, you can make some units working by mix and match, but no way you can make money out of this trash. May be they can be expensive paper weights.
Holy Schmoly! You know I was going to start buying stuff from TL since I am looking for a good source of such liquidated electronics stuff. Honestly, I was swayed by the Best Buy "brand." Now, I know better. Darn, I was even going to borrow money to start this biz., I would have been in real trouble. Thanks folks. And I sincerely wish that you make at least 10 times the money you lost on this deal. However, I need to start searching for a decent outlet to buy stuff from? Would any kindhearted soul share an outlet or two -- pls email vick1@px7.net. Thanks.
I'll have to add my experience with TL. They are scammers. Thats the only word to describe them. They lure you in with the first 1 or 2 auctions you buy and then when they see you are a repeat customers, they start sending you pallets with missing items. I understand that the manifest is an estimate, or at least thats what they claim, but the first auction you win, you will receive each and every item down to the last screw, the next auction you win, you will get all the items listed but out of a list of 10 of the same item you will get 8 or 7 and usually those are from the mid range price. Now here's where it becomes interesting, the last 2 auctions I won and received, I say last because I will never ever buy again from them, were missing the items which are listed at the top of the manifest, the very first and most expensive MSRP items. One pallet was missing a microwave! As I mentioned above, I undersand and accept a miscount, they say there will be 10 iphone covers and I get 9, ok thats fine, but you say there will be 1 huge microwave thats on the top of the list with the highest MSRP and not be on the pallet thats something else, thats what a scam is! To break it down for you, I got a pallet missing a microwave and a 22 inch screen, both have a substantial size and cant go unnoticed. Another pallet I got is missing a 32GB Zune MP3 player, the three items mentioned had the highest MSRP and were the first items on the manifest. I am not assuming that those items will make me rich if I received them and I am not dumb enough to fall for their total MSRP because I know the dollar amount is inflated. When I look at the total amount the first thing I do is divide by 2, and on further inspection sometimes I go as low as divide by 4 and bid accordingly. For example if they claim the total MSRP is $10, 000, before even looking at what the auction includes, I assume the MSRP is $5, 000 in the real world, then I look at the manifest and see what is "supposed" to be included and conclude that the MSRP is $2, 500 and wouldn't let my bid go above $1, 000 to keep room for profit, so thats why a $200 item that goes "missing" does make a difference when when you look at the numbers realistically, but if you take the advertised MSRP at face value, you would think, how big of an effect does $200 make on a $10, 000 MSRP.
Bottom line. Don't buy from them. You will be scammed and you will lose money.
Cheers!
Absolutely right on the TV's. Expect a very high rate broken panels. Anything over 50. per TV will probably lose you money. The boards on these late model sets are not worth much. Market glut, just too many available. Also you probably wont get the stand or remote. I see people bidding up 80. bucks sometimes more per and just don't see any way they can recover. I've been doing this for a long time, maybe I don't know all the tricks but I know a lot of them. Believe me, you can flip them back, part them out, run warranty claims or dance in the street if you pay too much you will go red.
I am a techliquidator customer. I am very unsatisfied with their services. Everything I call customer services for any reason, they always say that it was sold as is unless there is something mayor, they can't do nothing. Even If I call to complain about shipping, they always give you a "biggest" excuse. For me right now, Techliquidator is the biggest rip off company in United States. Someone needs to do something about it. I am going to stop buying from this rip off company. Very bad business. If you don't want to get rip off, don't buy from Techliquidator.
Today, I just won an iPad 3 auction listed as "RETURNS" and after reading all of your complaints I am not going to pay for it. Techliquidator attempted to charge my card automatically and it failed because I no longer have that card. For the last 3yrs, I've been trying to buy merchandise on techliquidators.com and been unsuccessful due to buyers placing ridiculous high bids. I have wondered how they were able to make a profit giving the amount of money they were paying for so-called Refurbished/Used/Returns items.
The auction I won today came to an average $191/unit, which is fair price for iPad3 (wifi and/or 4G, 16/32/64GB). Reading your complaints, I think I am going to lose money if I buy it.
Thanks guys for the info.
IT seems to me this auction run under Pakies a lot of stelling and missing and sending bad goods. I think it will be better to don't buy from this Auction.
I deal with the same company in Canada. Reading all these comments we seem to be having the same exact problems here as well. Their responses are completely absurd and they will lie to the end of the earth to cover their ###.
NO MORE TECH LIQUIDATORS
tech liquidators IS A SCAM. THEY GIVE US THE BAD ITEMS AND THEIR GOOD ITEMS ARE SENT TO DIFERENT WEBSITES TO BE SOLD. SHOULD REPORT THIS IN DIFERENT REVIEWS TO AVOID OTHER PEOPLE BEING SCAMMED BY THESZE PEOPLE
I totally agree with the bad experiences other people posted here. Tech Liquidator does not use any feedback system like eBay to tell buyers how other buyers who had made purchases before felt about any particular seller. This is a BIG warning sign. Even if 90% of the buyers felt bad about their purchases, new buyers won't know anything about this. Some sellers (pay attention to their city and state) are very bad, such as selling a small lot (less than 30 lb in weight) but use freight shipping in order to charge you very high shipping (around $150). Buyers won't know how heavy the lot would be. Only seller knows it. Does it really cost $150 to ship a 30 lb box? Buyer be ware!
The people complaining here are mad because they didn't get a metric ton of gold in their first day of mining. Guess what? It takes time and ingenuity to be able to thrive in this business. I buy from tech liquidators and will continue to as every auction i have purchased has put me ahead. Do I have issues with some of the items? SURE! I don't even bother complaining though since i still double my investment on every buy. You need to focus on what the items are, what they would go for in each environment (scrap, working, need repairs) and then give yourself a limit of acceptable loss and BID! If you don't get the item for what you would accept to pay then you were better off not buying it. If you go above and beyond what you initially wanted to pay and lose money in the end of the deal... your fault. The warnings that the company posts on EVERY auction clearly state they are not responsible for error in either manifest or with item quality. You are buying returns and things that people spend a minute max on testing. If thats not acceptible then go buy somewhere else and stop bidding against me because i hate losing to little whiney brats that didnt want the ### in the first place.
you are a [censored] bag, I never bid, I almost won one but thankfully got outbid
YOU SUCK, this company sucks and hope all the [censored] behind this company got to jail, you included for enabling this behaviour
On September 29, 2015 I purchased over 150 computer monitors from techliquidator.com upon receiving the shipment which was labeled as used returns were not the quality techliquidators stated. 85% of these monitors are defective or have cracked screens. I first emailed tech several times, with no response. Then I called and spoke to customer support, which told me the person I needed to speak to Jeremiah was on leave for jury duty for a week, A couple of hours later I got a call from a person named Asher, I can tell by the phone call and his demeanor he had no intentions on returning the items he was just stating that I received the correct order, I can tell by the phone call and his demeanor he had no intentions on helping me return the itemss, he was just stated that's some monitors may work and some may not and I am obligated to keep these items due to the purchasing agreement. I have spent over a half $1 million with this company to date and simply asked for a return for approximately $3000 . This company is a complete rip off I would never suggest for anyone to take the plunge and buy something with them there are plenty other companies out there with a better quality items!
Hello everybody I buy techliquidators.ca from canada in the return section 19 unit here the product i received
What do you think of these recycling product or good condition..
Hello everyone I advice Not purchased from techliquidator
Hello everyone warning warning All the products of techliquidator are recycling, I buy 2 times the accessories cables charger iphone ext .. 495 items, 80% box and cable defectue.sous the return stock.and I buy 19 tv monitor 10 unite broking. Even I contact customercare nothing do for them all stock are not tested as is is not confident to techliquidators.
I purchased an auction for $17.5k of digital cameras in Grade C - Working condition, however when I received them several of them wouldn't turn on or would get errors during use. In addition, every single camera was stripped of all removable parts as well as essential components such as the batteries and chargers (which would cost around $5k to replace OEM).
I contacted a service rep from TechLiquidators and they told me despite the auction stating working and functional condition that it was part of their policy that no returns were allowed even if the products didn't work.
They also told me that despite the auction stating "Some may or may not include original packaging and accessories."; that none of their auctions regardless of grade would ever include any accessories. This is another example of how they are misleading customers. Any company can make mistakes but they have received many complaints about the misrepresentation of their items and continue doing business in this unethical manner.
A lot of the complaints I see on here, are a lack of understanding, being a retailer you don't get the same garuntees as you would being on the customer end of the spectrum. You need to be on your game. In the retail industry warrenty means something else then it would as a customer that is a status quo thing and a legal thing. When you buy refurbished as a retail company you will understand they are refurbished for a reason, your there to make sure the product gets to the customer as a working functional status, you will take a loss, anything higher than in my opinion a 20%-40% loss would indicate your distributor(auction site in this case) is not doing their job. I haven't won a bid yet on techliquidators so i can't speak from experience specifically with them but i just have to say a lot these compalints sound like they are expecting customer quality expecations when they are sellers. If you take a loss, you need to figure out how to make your money some other way. Its how the business chain goes. Everyone on the pole takes a loss, you just have to learn to deal with it and keep your business going.
Some of the complaints on here may be from a lack of understanding of the secondary market however I have been purchasing secondary auctions for the past ten years through numerous channels. Having won auctions on all of those sites and having dealt first hand with Tech Liquidators and some of the people in charge of listing these auctions on their site, there is no doubt they are intentionally misleading buyers with their lots. They also will refuse to offer any recourse with buyers even when they are in the wrong. I was fortunate enough to get Chase's Fraud department involved and was able to win my case due to their misleading tactics. If you do purchase from them be prepared for the items to potentially come in much worse condition than they have described.
Fair enough. Thanks for the heads up, I will be looking out for the complaints described.
WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT BUY FROM TECHLIQUIDATORS, YOU WILL BE HIGHLY UPSET. WE JUST RECEIVED OUR LOAD AND OVER 85% OF THE ITEMS DO NOT WORK AT ALL. NOT MISSING PARTS OR PIECES BUT FULLY INOPERATIONAL! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, MAYBE YOU CAN AFFORD TO SPEND $3000 AND RECEIVE ONLY 15% GOOD ITEMS BUT WE SURE AS HELL CAN'T WHAT THEY HAVE DONE SHOULD BE ILLEGAL! BEEN IN THIS BUSINESS FOR OVER 10 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A CUSTOMER RETURNS LOAD AS BAD AS THIS. THIS LOAD WAS PURE SALVAGE...
has any one has experience with savage laptops from techliquidator.
That is reason they make fuzzy pictures or they don’t have any
I won auction for gaming accessories and Description and photos show controllers. Games and charging docks . When truck arrived driver ask me why did I buy 4 pallets of the books . All 4 pallets were old game guides they don't retail for 3$ not a single controller or game . Just gameguides . They all end up in garbage lost over 2K
