Texas Department of Transportation / TxTag.org Absence of any type of billing for my use of toll roads.

Account # [protected]
I would like to contest the billed amounts I have been forced to pay during this Covid period. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET A BILL. How can I contest any charges if I cannot see a billaaaaaaaaaaa/.
I contracted with txtag to get paper bills. I have no desire to establist on online account.

Numberous calls have told me I should get a bill soon. Define "soon".
NO paper bills since Novembe 2020. I do not belive I have used the toll roads $500.00 worth when 1-35 was empty.

Desired outcome: I WOULD LIKE TO SEE PAPER BILLS FROM 11/20 TO PRESENT

Texas Department of Transportation / TxTag.org TXTag

On 2/11/21 my credit card on file with TxTAG was billed for 40.00 it was for replenishment. However the 40. was never credited to my TXtag credit balance. I have made several inquires online and I have called them a couple of times and every time IM told they can not see the transaction to my credit card. I sent several times through attachments a copy of my credit card statement that shows the transaction and still nothing. I mailed a copy of the statement along with a statement of the issue about 3 weeks ago a still nothing has been resolved.

Desired outcome: my credit balance to be credited the 40.00

I am having the same issue, but my replenishment amount is for $100dll This is so frustrating they are not allowing us to have access to our Statements. I called them numerous times, went in person and they have not fix anything. I also sent a copy of my bank statement online and by mail 3 times. Someone one has to do something, all the inquiries I made the mark them complete and my issue has not been resolved.

Texas Department of Transportation / TxTag.org Txtag

For some reason, every time I check my txtag account there's a charge. Despite, me not using a toll road. I've called customer service, and informed them of the situation. However, I can't get a set answer as to what is going on. I'm told that their is a dispute open to look into it. 2 weeks later, I haven't heard anything. But a new charge has been added.

Desired outcome: Explanation, as well as refund for overpayment

This was happening to me! Delete your payment information immediately! This is the only way to get them to stop taking your money. I'm still dealing with trying to get over $100 of false charges refunded.

Texas Department of Transportation / TxTag.org Txtag

They've collected $1000's in fees from me but not any of the money is accounted for. And I have a $2400 Habitual Offender tag on me.

The other day I was arrested and detained even after paying the money I've already paid.

They promised a full audit of my account since 2018 on January 23. I followed up and it didn't come. I went back on March 15, and she promised it in 7-10 days. Went back today March 31, it wasn't there.

CTMA has NEVER gotten any money of the o er $1500 I've paid in the last 3 years. They refunded $5M to customers last week but none to me. I asked why. "Uhhhh we, ughh, we, uhh..". They have either embezzled money, or misused, or deliberately sabotaged my account. CTMA has not gotten ONE cent and I was arrested and detained.

In the video below, the supervisor, Patricia Palomo (this was taken in March 15 is trying to explain why the audit she promised me where she said, verbatim, "we will find every penny since 2016", isn't done. I'll tell you why: they have screwed this up and screwed 100's, possibly 1000's, out of money who have no emhearing, no recourse, no help from them.

They have violated my 14th Amendment rights to due process. They have lied about the audit. They have either embezzeled or stolen my money, and CTMA is demanding I pay $2400 that I paid TXTAG already.

Yet they act like it's my fault.

Desired outcome: All of my charges forgiven and an apology, plus my money back, a letter explaining their mismanagement, Ms. Palomo’s termination for failure to do her job.

Texas Department of Transportation / TxTag.org TX Tag Overcharging and Inaccurate accounting

Back in December 2020 (during TxTag's system update) I noticed that our account was not being charged. I called in Jan 2021 to request that my cc be removed so I wasn't overcharged. In Feb 2021 I found that I was over charged by over $400. I was told I was going to be issued a refund (never issued or received) and removed my cc. I logged into my account today and discovered that I'm not being charged correctly, and that I suddenly owe $351! I have called 4 times since my initial call in Dec 2020 to try and rectify this matter and now I'm furious! I was told that it would be at least 48 hours before someone would call me back (which I highly doubt will take place) and am about to contact my attorney and the media as TxTag is notorious for inaccurate billing and accounting. This has to stop NOW! I want my account corrected and any monies owed to me to be replenished. I further want full transparency of how poorly run this organization is!

Desired outcome: Corrected accounting and refund of monies owed.

Same issue here, some one has to do something! we have the right to get access to our billing Statements and the last I can seen in my account is from October of 2020 They also abused my payment information on file. I had o de- activate the automatic replenishment which now they are charging me over the top rates even though I have a tag.

Texas Department of Transportation / TxTag.org Unethical Behavior

I had over $1000 taken out of our checking account because of a auto rebill of $20, 52 times. Was told it would take a month to credit back and now it has been 36 days and they told me it's still in the final stages of being approved. What if I had NSF fees? Would they credit that back? How can they take my money for over 36 days and not give it back. I did not owe that but it was a mess up on their end. Theft! Illegal! I have spent several hours trying to go over this and get it all credited back and still no where.

Desired outcome: Given my money back with interest

My wife and I are both retired. We do NOT use the toll roads every day, however, recently, we have been getting charges of over 300 dollars in a 1 month span. I called TX tag and the customer service said they would look into it and hung up the phone on me. There HAS to be something SERIOUSLY wrong with my account and it is NOT being looked into! The 300...

Texas Department of Transportation / TxTag.org TXTag Account

My credit card has been billed $180 since December, despite the fact that I have not been using the toll road on a regular basis, due to covid 19. My TXTag account number is [protected]. I have sent a message to TXTag but there is no justification for these bills. I was charged twice on February 13, $40, when I hadn't even used the toll road. I can contact my credit card company and have TXTag blocked from charging my credit card but I'm concerned that they will bill me by mail. I can go to my account and send all transactions. When I checked my account balance it was around $27. They have no right to charge my card when I haven't been using the toll road.

Texas Department of Transportation / TxTag.org Toll charges

I just relocated to Dallas Tx 3 months ago and purchased toll tags for two of my vehicles. During that time the website was going through an update and could not be accessed. Once the site was back up and running I was charged over 30 times of $40 increments. I tried disputing by phone, website and DOT with no resolve or response, when making contact by phone the only option that is provided by the representative is putting in a ticket. Which I did over 5 times to include the one they supposedly submitted. Unacceptable, I wanted my card removed and they were not able to do that and instructed me to log in to complete that action. I explained numerous times the website does not display what the rep was instructing. I have called too many times to count and recently only receive a recorded message stating due to weather their services are on a delay start time and that in fact meant the entire day. I continue to get charged even when not using the tolls. The site is limited, the options by phone are not working properly, the representatives who take calls are limited or not helpful and I have had no resolve. I even removed my vehicles and continued to get charged.

Desired outcome: Refund for erroneous charges and my vehicles to be removed from the TX Tag

Did they ever resolve this issue for you? I'm just now seeing the absolute disgusting business practices by these clowns, I can't imagine what all you went through. I will never take a toll road in this state again. I'm sorry this happened to you.

Thank you, this is the most empathy I have received. I surely got no support from the agency. It took months before I got any response. I received partial reimbursement 5 months later, no explanation or expectation of remaining reimbursement.

Texas Department of Transportation / TxTag.org Customer service adding new vehicle with old TXtag and old license plate number

I opened a NEW account with my name and info, with TXtag. Uploaded my bank info for pre-payments. I wanted to add my newly acquired, 13 yr old pickup truck to the account. And I needed /wanted a NEW sticker on it, so the previous owner doesn't get charged for my toll fees. Simple enough. After three days, and three hours on the phone, they can not transfer the license plate numbers from one previous owner's account, to the newest owner's (me) account. They either don't understand the system. Or the system is surely broken. Tomorrow, is another day, , , I'll call them back and see if they have managed to pull their head out. Oh, BTW, they took all their cash deposits / fees, etc, out of my bank within two hours on the first day's phone call. But I can't add my truck to the account because their system says it belongs to another account. I even have a newly issued blue title to the truck from Texas DMV. Which they have access to, , and still can't figure this out.

Texas Department of Transportation / TxTag.org I need my $40 back.

About 3 weeks ago, TXTag charged $60 to replenish my account even though I still had $13.00+ in my account. When I initially gave my credit card to TXTag, I was assured that I would be charged $20 when the money ran out for my account.
During my first phone call, the representative removed two of three vehicles from the account and assured me I would receive a $40 refund.
I have written an inquiry on the TXTag website to resolve the problem and spent a good deal of time calling four times. Two times I was told I would be refunded $40 and to look for it on my credit card in several days.
I have received no refund. Today the TXTag system is down so no one will resolve my problem and there is no opportunity to speak to a supervisor because "they are all working on the system." I am told to call a fifth time to resolve my problem.

Texas Department of Transportation / TxTag.org TXTag bill not received

Customer service representative called me a liar stating that I had received my initial bill in the mail as well as I was getting emails. Well, the email was incorrect. Straight up fraudulent business to get more money from Texans! I have NEVER had a customer service rep call me a liar, he was out of line and disrespectful. This is their mistake - they are money gouging! I never disputed the tolls, but I never received a bills from them until it had fees and collections on it. The system is horrible!

Texas Department of Transportation / TxTag.org Fees

I mistakenly ended up on a TxTag road in May 2020. I received a bill for $11.23 on 6-7-20 and sent an e-check through my bank (pd in full). In July I received a new bill for $16.38, no credit reflected. I called TxTag regarding all the fees and continued harassment. Was instructed to file my concerns via TxTag Customer service email. I sent multiple emails with attachments from my bank proving my payment. On 7-23-20, I spoke to several reps, spent over 3 hours on the phone, 1:50 hour was on hold!. Then I was transferred to a "Lead" Cynthia after her research she admitted that TxTag did not receive the check but has copies of my bank check proving the payment, she quickly blamed the USPS for losing the check. She advised that they would waive all fees and I would receive a new bill in August. During that time I called by bank cancelled the check with full intent to pay the updated bill in August. I received the updated bill on 8-17-20, for $24.18! Cynthia "Lead" at TxTag lied! I called on 8-18-20 at 8 am, spoke to Roberta she confirmed the bill, confirmed the conversation with Cynthia "Lead" but stated that the notes said I didn't want the fees removed, really, why? I asked to speak to a supervisor, several attempts were made, finally at 8:40 am, I was transferred to "Lead" April, she repeated the same nonsense, stated they would remove the mailing fees but not the "other charges." I advised her back in June I attempted a good faith effort to pay and TxTag lost the payment not USPS and TxTag had that proof as it was emailed. Note this is the second time I've had the same issue with TxTag back in 2018 there was a similar issue. Finally after 1 hours of arguments all fees were waived and a SECOND payment was made, hopefully this nightmare with TxTag has been settled. Note to all DO NO DRIVE ON TXTAG TOLL ROADS THERE CUSTOMER CARE, ACCOUNTING AND SERVICE IS SUBSTANDARD AT BEST! Shame on TxTag

Texas Department of Transportation / TxTag.org Not receiving the original bill, when bill was received, they refuse to waive late fees

I contacted customer service because the bill I received already had late fees. I was only asking for late fees to be removed and they refuse to work with me. I am not trying to get the entire bill waived, only late fees. I can not prove the post office did not deliver the original bill. I have a history of paying my bills on file and that should show i'm not trying to get out of paying my bill.

Texas Department of Transportation / TxTag.org Txtag

All of the terrible reviews regarding possible illegal behavior by Txtag make sense after my experience. I have never been to Texas nor have any family members been to Texas in a vehicle in my name, I recently moved back to Florida from Canada and, suspiciously, we received a bill several months ago from Txtag. The bill had no vehicle info on it whatsoever, which is suspicious from a toll company, so I assumed it was a scam and threw it out. Months later we received another bill with added charges and a threat to send to collections if not paid. I have NEVER been to Texas or near Texas!? I have excellent credit and do not want it to be tainted over a scam, I also refuse to pay for something I did not do. I have one car in my name and it is always our possession. So, I called Txtag and the wait time was 1 hour, so I used live chat and after waiting there for 15 minutes I explained the situation and after about 30 minutes the employee stated that the account was cancelled and the vehicle was taken off, they couldn't provide a confirmation # so I got their employee ID. Hopefully, we don't continue receiving communication from this horrendous company, however, I was just informed by a family member in Canada, whose address we were using temporarily, that they received 2 envelopes from Texas recently knowing we shouldn't be receiving any mail there anymore. They have send the items in the mail to us and if they are from Txtag I will likely be calling a lawyer. We have no connection to anything based in Texas, and the family address in Canada should in no way be used anymore as we have updated all relevant contacts like banks, bills, etc.

Texas Department of Transportation / TxTag.org Tolls collections

I have received a confusing number of bills from TX Tag and have tried multiple times to clear these accounts and have been told that they could not help me, because I am a NTTA customer and that the late fees would stand until NTTA cleared up a dispute. Basically the only way TX Tag will work with me is if I pay the late fees that were tied to them crediting the wrong account with a similar name. I can not get a qualified or competent person to help me sort out what has happened to two tolls that totalled less that 20$ that they are trying to collect nearly $150. I had a valid NTTA tag at the time of the toll and NTTA has been on the phone with me and TX Tag and confirmed that. TX Tag still will not release the fees or clear the accounts. I have spent a collective of over 8 hours in just hold times waiting for the operator to offer me no solution. Someone please help me. These people have not let me finish a sentence in any phone call yet because I am asking for help. They say pay or else. nothing more is offered. I have asked for supervisors, nothing. I have asked for other departments or any way to resolve. Payment is the only solution they will work with me on. This seams extremely unfair and confusing to the customer who is buying the different tags.

No wonder the roads look like they do out there because noone is working to collect the funds that support keeping the roads upgraded.

Texas Department of Transportation / TxTag.org Statement / unauthorized bill

Receiving bill's and collections notices for my elderly, disabled father who does not drive. It has been disputed many times and txtag even agreed to remove charges but now getting new bill's under an account # [protected] when there shouldn't be any! Very disappointed and frustrated with the level of harassment. This is fraudulent and they know it.

I am his daughter and attempted to explain why he cannot possibly be driving through tolls yet they continue to send bill's and are now giving him collections notices and affecting his credit. Shame on this scam agency!

I have had similar problems they have me charged with accounts in my name under vehicles I have never owned and then say I have to prove that it wasn't my vehicle. They have acruing late fees for charges that myself and my primary toll tag company NTTA have disputed on my behalf.
