Kind evette!!!
I've had the opportunity to call in several times; and while they are generally pleasant, Evette was the kindest and most helpful ever. Not just at NTTA, but any call center I have ever called! Including businesses I have worked at and/or supervised.
Evette should do the training for the company newhires on how to talk with customers. At least feature some of her calls in some appropriate way.
I had several issues to button up, but she was patient and for the first time resolved all on this one call.
Thank you, Evette!
Recommendation: If you had issues with the NTTA call center in the past, try them again as my most recent interactions have been pleasant.

Unlawful billing
These ignorants have been billing me for a truck that was totaled in May ‘23 Account ID [protected]. From their attached picture you can only tell the last four digits of the plate, but said “screw it” and probably google searched the rest, then stuck me with the bill. Upon calling, they have piss poor customer service , their supervisors sound like imbeciles, then hang up when I ask for more proof. Shame on this organization, shame on this state ran by clowns for allowing them to get away with this.
Claimed loss: $20
Desired outcome: I would like a hand written apology. Also if whoever is in charge resigns as well, it would be a bonus

Toll fees and blocking my car registration
I went to register my car and it said I was blocked because of toll fees. My husband was in an accident and was out of work for 3 months. I was trying not to lose my house and my car and having to pay my extremely high electric bills. They told me I owe $6000 and my minimum down payment is almost $1300. I asked the lady what I’m supposed to do and she told me to file for bankruptcy with a mean look on her face. This is extortion! Don’t my tax dollars already pay for roads and bridges? I know I didn’t drive $6000 worth of tolls. I will never take the tolls again, I guess I’ll sit in bumper to bumper traffic for hours. Mission accomplished TxDot. The Cloward and Piven strategy is working fantastically. This truly is a prison planet. Not for long, God wins!

My money put back on my credit card asap.
I called NTTA on Oct 24 to get a toll tag for my new vehicle. The person I spoke with was very helpful and told me that I could take the balance that I owed out of my old account and she would start a new account for me. She told me I could keep the credit card on file for any future tolls and that it was standard procedure to take out $40 at a time. She...

North Texas Tollway authority
I was mailed my first notification for a balance of $6.72 in the end of October, to which I paid via mail on 23 October 2023. I received a second notification for a balance of $4.54 on 14 November, 2023 for a trip I made to Dallas from 29 September till October 4. Horrible company policy to charge a person two separate times for the same vehicle months apart. It would be more logical to charge me in its entirety all at once instead of this sloppy way of conducting business. My suggestion is pay more attention to the plates and name that you’re notifying so you’re not wasting your time and mine sending one violation at a time from almost two months ago.
Desired outcome: Suggestion, to send customer’s their violations all on one zip cash toll bill, rather than one at time to avoid customers having to pay additional fees or the waste and abuse of paper.
Toll tag
I have a toll tag on my 2020 chevy Silverado. I called today (11/13/2022), to update my credit card on file because my old card had fraud, only to find out that I had an outstanding balance on my account of 899.45 but was told I needed to pay that in full by 11/22 or I would be sent a bill for $1,400. When we bought the truck in 2020 we got a toll tag on...

I got on the tollway unknowingly because I do not live in the DFW area. I recently got a second notice of nonpayment but did not receive the first bill or the first notice of nonpayment. When I asked if the fee could be removed, they refused and said they could only take off $10 as a courtesy. $25 extra dollars in fees is excessive.
Account ID: [protected]
Claimed loss: $28.36
Desired outcome: I am happy to pay the initial bill. Since I did not receive mail prior to the second nonpayment notice.
Customer service
NTTA is unethical in every regard. I use DFW prepaid parking regularly and it is very common to get double billed by NTTA. It is common for me that this is anywhere from $650 to $1,200. Getting a refund from NTTA for their mistake is next to impossible. NTTA’s policy is a minimum of 35 days to initiate a refund if at all. NTTA is a crooked organization that has State of Texas oversight. Governor Abbot has an individual appointed by him to oversee the operations of NTTA. This will be a major consideration for me come election time.
Desired outcome: Refund
Customer service phone call
On October 12, 2023 I contacted NTTA [protected] and spoke with a customer service representative by the name of Bertha. Bertha did not give me an employee id number. I called to question a zipcash collection notice from Valor. The call was going fine until I kept explaining to Bertha why I was calling. I had given her the license plate number associated...

My bill went from 17, to 67.00 because of you late charges , you are not a bill collector. this is crazy I try never to use your toll roads because i have ready paid taxes for the same road every time i buy gas. This is a Ponzi scheme to make money. The toll road are not even own bye the state of Texas and do not try to tell me they are they are foreign own by private partnerships who not from here. I would Glady paid the 17.00 for me accidently for using the troll that try to avoid. but no you jack the bill up too 67.00 with your late fees. that are too high.
Desired outcome: I want my late fees back and you can belive i will avoid any toll road and set in traffic like i always do. zip cash [protected]
Customer service - unwillingness to help or transfer to manager
I had an issue that was escalated because the girl assisting was rude I was then sent to an escalation supervisor who was condescending and unhelpful. When I asked to speak to his manager he stated that he was the manager. I asked again to speak to his manager and he stated that he was the one in charge. I asked him if he was the CEO of NTTA which he stated...
Read full review of North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA]Three toll charges in 4 minutes is a scam.
We have never been in Texas. Drove through Texas one night and then received an unknown toll charge which states we passed by/through three tolls in four minutes. How this is possible is strange? That's almost a toll a minute. Is this how it is done in Dallas? I can't stand Texas with all the bugs everywhere, but no one can afford to live there if they have to pay by the minute to drive. This is nothing but a private company scam, as these same people from Texas tried to scam me for almost $900 in Sacramento, California by thinking they could arbitrarily fine me extra for a legislated $23 ticket. Of course, I did not pay. They count on scaring people into paying for their corrupt fines. Also, program does not actually allow pictures it states to attach. I used Adobe Acrobat Pro, but it says they do not allow that format.
Desired outcome: Return funds.
Billing
NTTA went 13 months without sending me an invoice and then sent me a bill for $149.72. These are charges collected primarily using Loop 49 in Tyler, Texas dating back to 07/2022. We have a TxTag that we assumed was being used; however, the credit card on file was expired (we were never notified of this). The toll road specifically says that users will be billed by mail without a valid toll tag. Why were we not billed until it had accrued to nearly $150? If additional data is needed, please email me at Dawn. [protected]@me.com. Thanks!
Desired outcome: Since we do have a TxTag, we would like for the extra $50.04 to be removed. Also, at the very least, we would like to split the remaining balance into 3 monthly payments without penalty.
Third/final notice. Never received a bill until now.
I just received a third/final notice for unpaid toll bill. I NEVER received a bill, first or second notice, at all before getting this notice. They have added huge fees onto a very small toll bill. Less than $9 in tolls, but I now have a bill that's almost $40. They are crooks and criminals hiding behind the shield of the government. They are on the same level as their crooked president, Biden. The notice mentions that the bill has already been turned over to a collections agency. This is terribly and criminally wrong.
Desired outcome: I want a response from NTTA via email. I also want the bill reduced to the amount I owe for the tolls and proper time allowed to pay it after receiving a corrected bill. I also want this to be cleared from my credit report.
Biden? LMAO. You should direct your frustration to the Republicans that continue to not let introduced bills progress in the TX legislature. 9 bills were introduced in 2023 and only one of those passed. Guess who drafted that bill? I'll help you out - two Democrats. Look up HB 2170
Billing/customer service
Every month when I receive a bill from NTTA I pay it in full. A few months ago I started receiving a late notice and when I'd check my account I would have a zero balance. I contacted them to let them know there was a mix up, that I always pay in full. According to them there are two accounts under my license plate and when I log in with my license plate it only pulls up one account. They told me to log in with user name and password, but the problem is I am locked out of my account and every time I try to reset my password it says password incorrect. Therefore the only way I can log in to even check my account is by my license plate. I have now gotten a pink slip threatening me with this mysterious account that I can't even view and they will not send me proof of except an overdue balance. If the option to log in via your license plate is on the site, why does it not pull up every bill you owe for that plate? This makes no sense to me and since I can't view the other account and they won't send me validity of this other debt, I am refusing to pay it.
Desired outcome: This bill (which is 90%late fees at this point) needs to either be transferred so that I can view it under my license plate or just all out forgiven because I have no access to it and customer service is not helpful in the slightest.
Billing
Today is Saturday, July 1 for three or four months now I have been getting bills from Cash Pam in TT a a and I don't know who else I mean. Yeah they told people have four or five different billing company. I don't even know what's coming to know, but everybody keeps telling me how to pull up my tolls so I can see what they've done. I don't pull up anything but late fees OK under account [protected]. I called last month in June And got a toll tag so that will take care of everything. I pay $20 now other than I got told tag but now they're still sending me bills and there's not even bills for tolls there's 33 to 4 months at $25 late fees when I try to make a payment online, it doesn't recognize it has me set up a user ID and email. It doesn't recognize my password or my user ID and I've changed it three times and it still won't. It still says it's wrong but I try to make a payment over the phone which is hard to do because I'm work I have to I have to not work and take one to two hours and to talk to y'all to get this done. It's ridiculous. I've lost money over this And then they don't wanna adjust anything they want me to pay the $138 and $100 is lte feesof it is please I can't do that. I'm not I'm not the elite I'm not a good [censored]. I'm not a senator. I don't work for the city that kind of money I got I can't do this I would gladly pay my tolls figure out how please call me. My name is Maria Cristina Figueroa [protected]. My email is CFIG [protected]@gmail.com at two hours on Saturday morning which is my busiest day to work trying to get this resolved the decency to be open on the weekends are there ridiculous please
Desired outcome: I will gladly pay the tolls I owe, but I won't. I can't pay the light. Please make it doesn't recognize anytknow my credit card number I mean it's like you're doing it on
Fees for toll road in dfw area
I do not live in the DFW area so my driving and use of toll roads is very limited and I never go a TollTag. I used to pay by phone until I got a rude agent and they tried to get all of my card info despite the advisement recording. I mentioned the recorded message and he replied that he did not care. I ask for a supervisor but he refused and I terminated the call. I have paid by phone before and the methods he was asking was opposite any previous calls. No security whatso ever. Now I just received what will be my last bill as I will never use the system again. I have a $71.19 bill for two trips to Dallas Love Field on May 24 and 28. When I asked about the rates, I learned that they are apparently variable. Rates are dependent on Time, Day and weather...seems odd that weather can raise rates. Sections of roads were over $9.00 fees. This is absolutely ridiculous. No where have I seen anything that mentions variable rates and. When I called, the agent was respectful and explained the charges and I cannot fault any of his behavior. He was professional at all times despite my frustration. But the fees charged are completely out of line. As I stated, never again will I have these fees as this is a rate that is completely unfair. I do not have an issue paying a few dollars for the usage of the road ways but the rate should be reasonable. I will shift all business dealings and family outings in another area.
Desired outcome: Reasonable rate and knowledge of variable rates. There is a statement that says not to leave contact info so I do not see how a response will occur.
Tolltag
Went to register my vehicle at local grocery and was told my vehicle had a hold on it with the county. Contacted Dallas county tax office which informed me that they were asked to put a hold on my vehicle registration by the NTTA for unpaid tolls. This surprised me because 1. I find it unconstitutional for the state to deny a taxpayer state services to pay a state mandated fee unless a third party sent is payed and 2. I have had a tolltag for almost 3 years. After arriving at a local NTTA customer service office in Grand prairie I found out that my account was placed on hold because of a "mistake" by NTTA that left me with a supposed balance of 2500 which included 500 dollars in late fees. When I asked how this was possible since I had a tolltag account they stated because their was a problem with my credit card and they were unable to take out my payment in March of 2022. March of the previous year. When I asked why wasn't I contacted she stated that they did email me that March to let me know, she then went on to admit that SHE DID SEE WHERE I HAD LOGGED ON IN APRIL 2022 AND HAD UPDATED MY CC INFORMATION TO MY NEW WORKING CARD. When I asked why NTTA decided not withhold my payments from my new card her response was "I don't know why" when I asked why I was never contacted or told about any problem with my new card or payment her response was "I don't know". So wouldn't that be NTTAs fault that payments were not taken out and not mine since I did exactly what NTTA asked me to do by updating my account with new still valid payment? "She said yes". So even though NTTA is at fault through their own negligence, which I strongly believe is on purpose in order to tack on later fees to unsuspecting citizens and then have the county strongarm them by denying state mandatory registration until they pay, I get to pay a large down payment and sign up for what feels like a monthly finance fee until a debt that I believed was legitimately being paid for over a year is paid full. AND in order to continue to use the toll road I get to reopen a new tolltag account and trust they will not secretly screw me again. This company is ridiculous and I find it hard to believe the state condones this type of negligence.
customer service
Called to get help on my account. The representative was rude and unhelpful. When I asked a question he said "I can't help you with that because I can only be on the phone with you for 2 minutes. Its a rule". I said "mmm... that doesn't sound right." I told him that I would just hang up with him and call back since it was clear that he just didn't want to help. I called back and got a girl on the phone who was very helpful, fixed the issue, and we were on the phone for 10 minutes and she didn't rush through the issue at all and she completely took care of it. Whoever I spoke to the first time should not be in customer service at all. If you have a way to look that up, I would. I called at 10:39am on May 30 2023. Acct [protected].
Desired outcome: He needs to be reprimanded. He provided no service at all, made it clear we only had 2 minutes, despite the issue. Sounded like he just rolled out of bed. Clearly had no interest in providing any service.
NTTA toll tag account
We have an suv with NTTA, my self and my mother in law are listed as owners on the car with her being the main. When I signed up and spoke to an agent they never mentioned that if no money was on the account they would bill the MAIN name in the car not the account owner of the NTTA account. So for an awhile I was not notified that a bill was sent or billed as it was sent to my mother in laws house in CA! She travels and is rarely home so surprise when she got back to her house 5/6 months later and had all these bills waiting. When we called they wouldn’t speak to me only her as it was her name on the account unless I was calling in to make a payment. The rep she spoke to said they could drop it and we could pay 400 and some change and it would be fixed. We told her we would not be paying any late fees as it was an issue in NTTA and they needed to fix it honor it because we were told misinformation. She came back stating the best she could do is send it over to management / account supervisor who will call back. Well we never got a call and coming on a year and some change they are still racking up with late fees and charges!
Desired outcome: To have all late fees waived so we can actually pay what we owe for traveling on the toll roads that isn’t going to cost an arm in a leg when this company makes money and robs families dry.
Toll Charges
I have an account with NTTA and have 4 vehicles covered. My son's vehicle which had a valid toll tag in good standing was charged $2.49 on 6/7/22 for a toll that should've been $0.99.
I contacted NTTA on 7/29/22 and spoke to "Michael" relating to an invoice and statement received from the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority. I sent him copies of the original invoice as well as a follow up statement where they had added penalties and interest making the total bill bow $16.49 for what should have been a $0.99.
Michael allegedly resolved the issue. However, I received another statement from CTRMA this month saying I still owed the $16.49. I reached back out to NTTA and am now being told it was not covered because it still had the temporary tags on our account. Michael had made no mention of this back in July of 2022 when it could have been resolved.
Desired outcome: I would like to pay the $0.99 toll as it should have been billed, not the $16.49.
