I paid off a loan to further my nursing education and now there are no resources available
I signed up for the college network a year or so after I started working as an lpn. At that time I was a newly divorced single mom of three and just not able to put the time and energy into it. It was supposed to be at your own pace with no expiration… I’ve tried logging in to my account multiple times over the past couple years and it seems to be nonexistent at this point. My loan, which was over $10,000 at the time I do believe is paid off. What can I do about this? At this point I truly am ready to further my education and it is paid in full!
Desired outcome: I would like to complete my education as paid and promised
TCN refund
I enrolled in excelsior college. I paid over 8k in 2003 for my books through tcb to test in clep and out of courses. I did not have the money for books and other resources and books for excelsior. I was unable to get in the rear because of the lies TCN. Now I am unable to get any information for refund or books. I would really like to know how to get my money back
Desired outcome: Money back
LPN to RN Bridge Program
Hello,
I signed up with The College Network in 2013. I tried several courses and just couldn't get through them. I complained to TCN that class content was way too detailed and difficult. I thought at the time I was too busy to concentrate and asked for possible refund to try at a later time. I did contact them several years ago to try classes again and never got a response from anyone. I'm just now learning I was not the only one who thought course content was ridiculous and lawsuits were filed against The College Network.
Desired outcome: I would like a full refund.
Refund
I signed up for the college network LVN to RN program in 2008. I was told I could work at my own pace and there would be no expiration. I was a new nurse and decided to wait on starting since I wanted more experience prior to getting to in depth. Having a few young children and working full time kept me in a holding pattern for the last few years. Due to changes in my family life, I was finally able to start classes to further my education recently. I was told they closed and program is no longer available. How do I get a refund for the money I paid? I have to now pay for a new program to get my RN.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund for my program I paid for.
Bankruptcy and return payments made.
I paid $11,069.50 to TCN for LPN to RN the program. I haven’t heard from anyone that they went bankrupt. I had to pay another institution all over again to finish my nursing. Is there any way to get my money back whether it’s full or even partial? Please help! I’ve included the invoice from when I was coaxed into signing up. They said this would be valid for whenever I decide to start but to go ahead and pay for the college now.
Desired outcome: Receive money back from false information.

I signed up for the lpn to rn bridge program
Approximately 20 years ago I signed contracts for the Lpn to Rn program. I was told I could pick at it at my leisure for the rest of my life if I wanted. I put a few hundred dollars down and they sent me books over the next month. I told them I'm not ready, I was a single parent with 2 small children working 60 hours a week. They said they would send more books if any information changed in any of those courses. I struggled to pay monthly, I wrecked my credit over a handful of years and still took no tests, read nor studied anything. At tax return time maybe 15 years ago I decided to pay it off in its entirety. I called and asked if I could still do the program if I paid it off. They said yes, at my leisure as long as it takes for me to do it. I paid off the remainder with my tax return. My kids are all grown, now and I could not find the college network. My research says now they are shut down and here I am with some time on my hands. Can I get the money back? All I got were 6 "books" which were 3 ring notebooks with copies of books- mimeographs.
Desired outcome: Money back reimbursement
I too signed up 20 years ago and was told I could complete the program whenever once I had paid my tuition completely. I was never told that they were closing and the instructions on how I am to complete the program.
The College Network
My name is Denise Pardington formerly Whelan. I signed up for this program at home when a high pressured salesman came to my house. I was told if I didn’t use the program I could get a full refund on what I did not use. They also said they were an accredited program and that is false. I did not use the program from LPN to RN and I have been trying for years to get a refund. I financed through there credit union. I’m seeking justice and my full refund back asap. Please I have been waiting for years since 2011. Please help me.My phone number is [protected]
Desired outcome: I would like my full refund.
College courses
I paid over $13,000. the full amount to TCN (The college network) to advance my Nursing degree from LVN to RN I was told these classes would be available to complete when ever I was ready no deadline. I attempted several times but had various issues with the courses, more were added , being locked out, the name changed, just to name a few . Know I can’t get ahold of anyone. No classes were ever completed for me. Can someone help me please.
Desired outcome: Return my money
LPN to RN Bridge
I paid almost $10k for a program that I couldn’t use. At first they were responsive and even sent the check for 2 tests but shortly afterwards, radio silence. I couldn’t reach the advisor or anyone. In January of 2016, I contacted them for a check for testing fees and I have never heard from them since. I have made several attempts to contact them to no avail. I ended up going to a local college. I would like to refunded for all the money paid for nothing!
Desired outcome: Refund
Unable to access material and requesting a refund
I tried to log in to my college network account to continue my online classes however I was not able to login. I requested my password reset multiple tiles to find that the college has closed. How do I go about getting a refund over 8,000 dollars. My email is [protected]@yahoo.com. Argelio A. Torres. I was transitioning over from LPN to RN and I am very upset that this school closed without any notification. I did not get an email that this school was going was closed. Please provide info on how I could get my money back.
Desired outcome: Please provide me a refund
I'm dealing with the same issue. I was not notified of the school closing and would like a refund for my program as well.
I did not get any notification that this school closed and have been trying to figure out why I could not get the website to pull up. I was doing the LPN to RN bridge program also. Please provide info on how to get refunded.
Courses paid for but not able to complete
I've had my courses paid for but unable to complete as I cannot sign in to work on my LPN to RN program. I know it's been a while but life happens and I'm just trying to get compensation for courses that I can no longer use. Please tell me what I need to do to get reimbursed for something I thought was going to work in my favor but turned out to flop on its face. Thank you.
Desired outcome: Reimbursement for the courses I paid in full but now there's no company to go through.
The college network Lpn to rn program
I want my refund, I was falsely led to believe that I was enrolled at excelsior university. I was not. Excelsior informed me they had nothing to do with the college network. I never received any credits and paid 14000. To lifecycle credit union which is owned by the same people who own the college network. If I refused to pay the payments I would have been sued and had a judgement put against me , even though some states (Ohio) attorney generals ruled the college network were a scam and gave students the money back. Attorney general in CT left my letters and phone calls unanswered. If one state says it is a scam and all the students say it is a scam the it is a scam!
Preying on people who have the least amount of money to spend is is disgusting.
Desired outcome: I want my money back
LON to RN bridge
I signed up in 2012 and paid for all classes of over 8k and never completed anything. I want a refund. I never received any books and no one ever reach out after I signed up. And It’s like after I don’t log in after so long I have to contact someone and change it. But now there isn’t anyone to contact except an email and they say it’s all ok and to still finish classes and I would be ok.
I would like my $5,000 back
I was a recent graduate of a LPN program studying for my boards when I was preyed upon at a local Starbucks. The representative made The College Network sound as the best way to bridge to an RN program. All I had to take was 5 or 6 classes. I signed for a $5,000 loan which I was obligated to pay back. Once signed up it became a NIGHTMARE. Material on their website or books for the exams did not match what was on the exams. It cost $250 an exam which was incorporated into my loan. If you fail the exam, it’s another $250 out of pocket. Excelsior college wanted nothing to do with The College Network even though TCN stated I would graduate from that college. When I decided this wasn’t working out. I could not get a dime back. Especially the exams fees that were never taken. Total scam
LPN to RN Program
I paid for all of my exam fees and for the entire program over the course of 2 years through a personal loan which I took out through TCN . I was told there was no time limit for me to complete the LPN to RN program. I toook a brea for a few years after my daughter was born. I went to log in a few days ago with the hopes of finally completing the program only to find that TCN no longer exists! They mislead me into thinking the program would always be there for me. They have my money, but now I no longer have their program to become an RN as they had promised. How do I go about receiving a refund?
Thanks in advance!

Desired outcome: Full refund of all the fees I paid for the program.
LPN to RN Program
I was recruited in 2014 to sign up for these classes. I had just been involved in an accident that involved my right hand. I explained that i would be having surgery and was concerned that I may not be able to do the classes/clinicals. The recruiter assured me I was not going to have any issues. The surgery took place, and another after that, resulting in permanent nerve damage. I contacted the College Network to no avail. I contacted WE Financial /Florida (as they handled the loan) I was told that I needed to make every payment as the loan and the schooling were not connected ... and I owed $10,000 No Matter What Schooling took place. So, I paid and finally paid the loan off. *My dream of achieving an RN while my daughter was in college was destroyed! I could not afford to pay for her to be in school and come up with even More money. I have tried to contact Anyone that can help me resolve this. It is VERY disheartening to find out they closed (while we were all busy being essential employees) and kept our money! Any information would be greatly appreciated. I want a full refund- I have all the paperwork I signed from day one.
Refund
I have paid all of my money for my RN classes, I also have money sitting in an account to pay for my tests and my admission fees for the college. Since they are no longer in business, I would like my money back so that I can continue to pursue my career. I am unable to complete my studies with this company as they have closed. I did not receive the goods that I have paid for, so I deserve my money back.
Desired outcome: I would like my money refunded.
Unable to finish courses, no one answered my phone calls or questions
It's been many years, I was in a life threatening car accident, in a coma and could not finish my classes, I paid the entire loan off and only finished one class. I would like a refund for the $8000 I spent. Please help Tracey Mendez 175 kibble lake rd constantia ny 13044, my address is still the same as when I purchased the courses for my RN. Due to my disability I could not pursue this career. No one answered my calls. The representative can see that I paid in full. Please help, I was also told by the sales person, there was no time limits, Now I'm able to start some classes and TCN went bankrupt. Please help [protected]
Desired outcome: I just want my refund, the credit union they had me use was also in Florida. I want at least $7000 back that is owed me
Scammed out of money for classes i'm unable to take.
College Network scammed me into taking out a loan for their courses. I was told that there would be professors that would be available to help. That was a lie. I was told that it would be an easier way for me to complete my LPN to RN. They said they would send books and never did. The courses were hard to follow. Now I can't even log in and try to complete anything. I am out a lot of money for something I can't even use. I believe it was close to $4,000 total for everything. Also told that they were accredited and would sure to get into Excelsior. That was lie. I was scammed out of a lot of money and want a refund of my hard earned money!
Desired outcome: I want a full refund of the money that I paid for courses I can't complete.
LPN to RN
I took and passed several classes through The College Network to complete my RN degree and paid the complete tuition in full. I was then diagnosed with lung cancer and could no longer work or take the remaining exams. I would like to seek repayment for the tuition paid. As the College Network is no longer available, I would appreciate your assistance. Please let me know if more information is needed.
Thank you,
Carol St.Pierre
