manager and cashier at 2726 dix hwy. lincoln park mi
My mother and I where there march 13 about 7p at night. We went to the cashier and asked if a pan was half off and to cash out. The cashier told us it was so my mother paid for the pan. When we looked at the receipt it was not half off. My mother no longer wanted the pan we was only out the store for 5min. She talked to the cashier then to the manager while she was talking to the manager and the manager said no refund. But at the same time the cashier was giving a man a refund in the other line so I assume the cashier was related or dating this man. I did not know ur company gave refunds to only to people they know. My mother was upset said a few words she should not of said when she seen the man gettin a refund and the manager only offered her store credit. My mother left upset saying what happened to tell my girlfriend what happen before she got in the truck. Then the manager stood in the front of the store screaming, "get the [censor] out of here never come back im callin the [censor] cops right now if u dont leave." "told her dont worry we will never come back." and really because of my experience there I will never go to another salvation army again. I have went to that location since its opened. Ive even lived in a salvation army in memphis and have never had anyone from any salvation army treat any customer like that. I was even a manager myself at white castle around the corner for 6 yrs. I worked the midnight shift with a lot of people in and out and I would never and never have treated a customer like the the way ur two team members treated my mother. If you cant handle customers get out the business. And I will never go to another salvation army because of her horrible customer service.
the salvation army store manager
Hello
I'm complaining about the mnager at the Darby Salvation Army in PA. She wrongly accused me of something I didn't do and she kicked me out and called the cops I didn't even do anything. I've been a customer for 10+ years. I always shop and donate with you guys. I think she doesn't want me there because I'm Muslim. And everyone there stood up for me because they saw how agressive she was being with me. I think there's something wrong with her. Also there was a lady there for me and she also said that she was going to file a complaint. 2 months ago I bought some things and she charged me $5 extra. When I confronted her she started to scream at me and said no everything is right. Then I told her to check the things that I bought and the prices and she did and it turns out that I was right. I'm a loyal customer I don't know why she's doing this I don't deserve this. I think she has a mental illness or she's using drugs with the way she was talking and acting with me.
luv seat
When in Salvation Army tonight in Madison, Tennessee, to buy a love scene that was out on the floor with a 40 dollar price tag on it, and the lady working said she couldn't sell it because it didn't have some other sort of tag on it. She was very rude. She scooted it back in the bag for some reason I don't want the problem was, and she said she couldn't sell it and I don't understand why since it had a 40 dollar price tag on it. But it this way Salvation Army treats her customers. I can do business elsewhere. There is many other places. Thank you very much.

salvation army auction
Hi, I have a complaint about the Salvatiokn Army auction. I go to the Auction everyday and spend $500+ a week and double that in sales from the items i buy at the Auction. My complaint is about the start time of the Auction. There was an inspection last month and everything was great, the Auction would start early and end early everyday for the entire week of the inspection. Now it just seems to start later and later everyday. I work at night and get extra money from this but have been having to sacrifice my sleep to be able to attend the Auction. They open the window at 8:30am and we have to be there at that time to get a good number so that when we have to pay we don't have to wait so long because they charge in order by number. So I'm there at 8am and they don't start the Auction until 10am last Friday it started at 10:15am. That's 2 hours of our time wasted on nothing. The auctioneer and upper management seem to wait as long as they can for people to show up and just sit in the office until 10 am. Wednesday's everyone has kids to pick up early from school and with the auction starting so late we have to limit yourself to what we can load quickly to make it in time to the school or make our kids wait. If this problem could be resolved it would be greatly appreciated by everyone that attends. We're at the Auction from 8 am to 2 depending on how fast we load but our entire day is spent there. I hope you this issue can be resolved son. Since the Auction start time posted is 8 am. Thank you
pastors at a nj church
can somebody call me please my name is Diana Flores [protected]. The pastor at this location has made me and my family members feel unwelcomed. I have been attending this service for many years and am saddened by what is taking place. I think the current pastor should go under review for what she's teaching. My son particularly has been a victim of the bullying that is occured
change
pastor bridgeo here in caldwell id
I rate them a one in the home page of salvation army.
Based on comment about this a grandmother past way.
The Bridge ignored phone calls, to help them set a service.
Because they are never at the office always canceling everything.
So they call the police on me told out of my building you are not allowed to be here.
And Stephanie told the police I stolen something.
I told them that you want me to lie a put a 5 to make you happy.
At this point our church members are very low.
This pastors are dress as sheep but they are woof.
My community please dont just donate ask for proof.
Is our faults to be part os incredulous pastors.
Here in Caldwell ID we need change.
Take your corrupted pastors to hell.
men’s jacket
I wanted to buy a men's jacket but the price tag fell off, so as I approach the cash register they tell me I can't buy the jacket because the tag isn't attached to the jacket, I have the original price tag in my hand but the worker still refused to let me buy it. I call the manager and she gave me the nastiest attitude claiming that I had to wait "30 minutes to reattach the tag to the jacket and resell it to me again" Unfortunately I had to leave the store without the jacket and very upset. The staff even refused to hold the jacket for me just because of a tiny error which could've been fixed within a minute and I'd be on my way but I had to drive home very upset.
furniture pick up
I am completely mortified and emotional after the experience I had today with 2 of your truck workers. Six weeks ago I organized a pick up for today
The person who came into my apartment was extremely rude and had a very bad attitude.
There was one item that he kept taking photos of I kept asking him why (he wouldn't answer me) then he said they couldn't take it as it was slightly worn and had pet hair on it. Fine. He then pushed a 6ft book case along the floor. I asked he watched that he didn't scratch the floor ($1000's of oak flooring) he walked out of my apt and got in the van sat on the phone ignoring me. He told the driver to go to the next job. I kept asking what was going on they just ignored me I tried calling the main number but nobody was answering
I did in the end speak to somebody who this horrible person said was his boss. Explained that I didn't know what was going on. He listened and then asked to speak to this person again. And that was it. They drove away leaving me crying in the street still with the items I was donating
You are a christian charity. And somebody in need has missed out on receiving this furniture. As a charity you do not run your business based on rude employees who decide what they want to do and what they don't. He is a nasty nasty individual with issues. He should not be allowed to deal with members of the public. He needs to be fired
I can not get over this whole incident and certainly see the salvation arm is a different light. I will never dontate or give anything to your organization ever again. I also work in the media - I will take this further
stacy, manager, milwaukee sa donations
My mom recently passed away. "No estate sale! Donate everything!" The Salvation Army (to whom I donate cash at Christmastime) is listed in her senior living folder. A date was agreed upon & I met the men at her apartment. After looking in every room, which included sofas, beds, bagged clothes & household items, they said they had found dead bed bugs & if they just found one, they couldn't take anything. They said a company would send men, suited in special clothing, to throw everything away. I was aghast! First I called the SA to ask which company to call for this. Stacy said he didn't know but would ask his driver; I should call back later. I then told the management, who looked at the "bed bugs, " & both women said that they disputed the driver, but would call a professional exterminator. He made time to squeeze the Centennial into his busy day & I met him at the apartment. These, he said, were absolutely not bed bugs but a harmless beetle on the carpet. I called SA to reschedule a pick-up, but Stacy said no, two people reported bed bugs. I explained, saying the two people were his driver & me, neither one of us qualified to determine this. He kept repeating this, saying a bug was seen so no pick-up. Terry, the Centennial manager also called, offering to provide expert documentation on the matter. She told me that Stacy still refused, stating that he said they wouldn't take anything with even a scratch. She also said the conversation became "volatile." Now, the Centennial in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, will no longer use the Salvation Army & word of mouth will hurt quite a bit. I will no longer need to declare the Salvation Army on my taxes, either. Here is the pertinent information: ARC: MIL, Route: 0101, Pickup Date:2/14/2018, Donated Date:1/31/2018, Pickup: 167010, SEQ: 4, OP#1369. I would appreciate your response, letting me know how this was handled. Thank you. Nancy Konkel
officers
I have been calling the Detroit Salvation Army since July and I also sent a detailed letter with the complaints against Officers Major Wayne and Tracy Ruston. I'm a soilder at the Salvation Army locatesd @ 1475 West Coldwater Rd. I'm reaching out to anyone who can give me answers as to the true policies the Salvation Army is suppose to follow when dealing with their soilder and the community as well. Does the Salvation Army in West Coldwater Rd. actually help the community? How do they treat children? How do they treat the community? Does how they treat the community compare with the changes they have made in the building? Do they let certain soilder sues the Salvation Army vehicle for their personal business? How do they treat their soilder? Will they pick children or grandchildren up for programs if they stay outside of Beecher Corp? Do they serve food to the children after 5:15pm even when they know their schedule? Do they condone adulterous acts? Do they condone gossip? Do members of the congregation suppose to take the duty of the majors? Do the majors delegates their duties to others and still take credit for it? My name is Constance Mickel. I had been out ill December 2016 til June 2017. I was the Sunday school teacher for children 12yrs and younger, Sunbeam leader and praise team leader. All while I was out sick neither Major Wayne or Major Tracy Ruston called me, sent me a card, came by to see me etc... When I started back going, I had a meeting with the Majors as to why no one contacted me.. Major Wayne said He knew one of the soilders was in contact with me.. ( that statement was not true.. nor did I know that soilders were taking the place of my pastor)... They replaced me as a Sunday school teacher and Sunbeam leader.. several situations has happened around there...
delhi store salvation army
on Wednesday 2/8/2018, It was a 50% off day and I shopped for over an hour (got great deals) and had to try some items on in the dressing room. I left my basket with all my stuff which I carefully took off the hangers and some of my personal items in the basket. Some man who was a manager watched me go into the dressing room. He took off with my basket of stuff immediately not asking anyone if even my personal items belong to anyone. I walked out of the dressing room after a minute and found the items were done. He refused to go into the back and get the items and of course I was not allowed. I told him I was going to call the manager but he stated that my items could be retrieved. I demanded him to items all my items including personal items. He threw a few items off to me and stated that was all he could find. He applies but never offered to return all the items. I called a Mary Ann manager next day when the store opened. She claimed she would talk with him but never offered to help me retrieve the items or give me a discount. I went back in the store - they both stated that they would not help me find those items. They both refused! Don't you know I contribute $1000 dollars a month in goods and buy $200 items and they refused to do anything still acting like the items disappear into the night! I am done with this Delhi store!
store/managers
The store in Burnsville, N.C is a disaster in the making! Clothes stacked as high as the ceiling, over electrical outlets, laying all over electric heaters. And piles and piles of junk laying everywhere! Rat droppings everywhere! It's so disgusting and so are the managers! Their so rude and unfriendly! And I've overheard them making fun of customers behind their backs calling them names! They don't try to help people they just help themselves their just out for profit only! They treat their employees terrible! Always making them feel threatened with their job! Managers taking what they want of the donations and doing special favors for their families
food services and help
I have called every month for a 3 month's straight looking for help on my electric bill. I am told to fill out paperwork never to called back. Or if I am it is to tell me that they have exhausted their services for this month.
I kno for a fact Rhea Lacostua In Wellsburg w.v. receives your help in food. I can not without a job while she even has a full job. Her employer name is James ODonnell at305 812 4340.
I thought you were to help people out who are having a rough time? Not someone who pays taxes and then lies to people to pity her.
I am done trying to get help from your services since you can not help me. I'll make sure I come back with a job and looking like trailer park trash so I can get help. I'll just go to your store and watch the needy walk away empty handed while you help lairs out.
the majors, the stores
The salvation army family stores are horrible. The arc on 7th and penn is horrible. The way they treat the guys there are unbelievable. They house 81 guys. The guys apply for food stamps. The arc takes their food stamp cards. Then the guys have to buy food from the cantine. They work them to death and they get paid 12 dollars a month. The majors talk to them like their garbage. Degrade them. Their only allowed to have one helping of food. If they want anything else they have to buy it. The salvation army takes donations and keeps whats good for them self. I would never recommend the arc to anyone. They don't care about the guys and helping them get clean. Worst place ever.
overcharged
There were more items on my receipt than I actually purchased. I don't know how to go about getting a refund as there is no way to prove that I was overcharged. I counted the items in the bag and the items on the receipt and there were 6 more items on the receipt that I did not purchase. The cashier seemed to be new and may have scanned some of the items twice. I am very disappointed.
store poor conditions
I am making a complaint for the poor conditions in store number one.I feel uncomfortable because of a major plumbing issue upstairs which caused a urine etc pipe to explode all over the store products not to mention the pipes are molded and a hazard to my health and also the staff bathroom. It has no light. The toilet seat is hanging off and has bleach bottles everywhere.I even spoke to the managers and nothing is being done about the safety of us co-workers but most importantly the customers.
in-store service and attempt to contact customer service was rerouted four times to run numbers.
In-store service and attempt to contact customer service was rerouted four times to run numbers. I was just in the store in Avon Ohio where the line went from the front of the store all the way to the back and into another aisle. There were at least nine employees walking around the store and only one person on register. There are four registers in that store. We waited 45 minutes to move up in line. There are multiple people in line that are elderly and with babies there literally crying because Theyve been standing there for 45 minutes, and at no point did an employee decide that they should maybe go and open up another register. Then, when I try to get in touch with customer service every phone number that is listed on your website is incorrect and when I did get in touch with somebody in distribution three separate times they transferred me to the wrong number. You folks have got to do better with customer service.
homeless shelter supervisor sleeps with homeless lady then moved her and her infant daughter into his home
Subject: Homless shelter preying on vulnerable women and families
This in reference to the Salvation Army "Center of Hope" in Ocala, Fl. at 320 NW 1st Ave 34475. Me and my family (myself, wife, and daughter) first arrived at this location mid Nov 2017. Both me and my wife immediately found jobs to begin rebuilding and to get back on our feet. Unfortunately, only a mere two weeks later the "supervisor" a Mr. Dennis Grundy began to lure my wife astray and exchanging sexual favors to allow our family to continue staying at the homeless shelter. I was completely unaware of what was happening right under my nose due to working odd hours at the company I was with at the time. To avoid being "caught in the act" fornicating on Salvation Army premises leaving our seven year old daughter unattended in family room 2, Mr. Grundy instructed my wife to tell the case worker that she felt unsafe. Being completely manipulated into believing that all three of us would be booted to the curb otherwise my wife went along with his devious plan. After doing so I (the husband and father) was banned from the property and from my family immediately. I was flabergasted as to why this was going on and as out of the blue as this all was. At this point being not from this area at all and having no friends or family in the area I became homeless for the first time in my life all alone. It wasnt until recently I came across 20-30 pages of crude and disgusting conversation between my wife and Mr Grundy that it began to make sense and I was finally seeing what was going on. There are far more details I could share but I am writing this via cell phone and it is very difficult to type. But as of Dec 20th this employee/supervisor moved my wife and seven year old daughter out of the homless shelter and into his personal residence. This is unethical, unprofessional, and quite frankly appauling! Especially, since this Dennis Grundy fella has quite a past history of lude and lascivious behavior and behaving unethically as a former sheriffs deputy at Marion County Corrections. If you can help prevent other vulnerable families and desperate homeless women from being preyed on by this disgusting individual please do. Feel free to call, text, or email me for any other additional information that is needed, and I DO have the 20-30 pages of conversation between Mr Grundy and my wife to verify what I am sharing with you. I look forward to hearing back from someone in the near future.
Sincerely,
George H. Strattard IV victim of the Salvation Army and Veteran of the USA
I have over 20-30 pages of text conversation between this "supervisor" and my former wife even though we are technically still married, but the conversation is very vulgar and contains graphic photos between them both. If we can schedule an interview I would be glad to share this proving what has happened. Not to mention once I found the conversation and dennis grundy and my spouse found out mr grundy moved my wife and daughter out of his home and he then fully funded her an efficiency apartment on his dime which again is not normal business practice not is it something that is policy for the salvation army.
saving items for certain customers.
You should know that the Hackettstown NJ store are up to the same old stuff. They are putting items aside for people. There are these two brothers that go there everyday on Wednesday twice a day because certain color tags are 50% off. I overheard one of the workers say the brothers were in and asked if a certain items have come in. These two guys get friendly with the workers to get what they want. They buy stuff from your store and resale at a higher price. Make your items more money. Resale is not against the law, but again these tow are getting favors on items before they reach the floor. This has been going on for 2 year or more with these brothers and needs to stop. Thank you,
