I stopped at Thorntons on Stewarts Ferry pike in Nashville Tn on 4-2-18. I paid for 15 dollars gas. Went out to pump the gas. Pump was not turned on. Pushed the button. Pump then turned on. I pumped 15.01. Went in ti pay the extra penny and was treated like a thief in front of a store full of people by a cashier named Lisa. She was accusing me of not paying and prettt much calling me a liar. Granted i did not pay her but there was a different cashier that checked me out. Finally a lady that was willing to try to find out what happened assisted me. It was figured out that the 15 I paid was put on a different pump. Needless to say Lisa needs to learn customer service. vuse solo original flavor cartridges
I purchased 3 packages of solo original flavor cartridges from Thortons #0121/McDonald's near intersection of Interstate 355 and 63rd street in Woodridge Illinois. The cartridges tasted awful and burned my throat and nose. I thought at first I was getting a cold or flu. I bought another package from a marathon station in crest hill and it was perfectly fine. My throat still hurts because of the ones from Thornton/McDonald's. I have the partially used cartridges from Thorntons. Hopefully they will benefit you in finding a cause. I would simply like to be refunded the cost of the 3 packages and for you to investigate what is wrong with them. Because there are 2 cartridges per package you will have at least 2 pcs that are still factory sealed.
employee opens bathroom door after I said I was using it
The only black guy that works at the store had seen me go into the restroom. He knocked several times and I provided verbal cummunication saying that I was useing the restroom. 15 minutes later he unlocked the door while I was using the restroom. After that he said he was calling the cops. Moments later there was several cops out there. He told the cops that I was in the restroom for an hour. That was a lie. Nothing happens to me but I fell violated the employee opened the restroom himself. Then said he was calling the cops. For what reason? He had already seen that i was on the toilet and okay. Obviously he seen that I was on the toilet. I will be makeing a phone complaint aswell.
People who should not work in customer service
On 3/20 a 10:51 pm I received a phone call from Ron Blackman who stayed he was calling about my complaint from 3/17/18. He told me his supervisor Micheal Opperheimer was going to be placed on the phone with me. I explained to him my concerns and he thought he placed me on hold. He also told Micheal I was on hold. He proceeded to call me a [censor] and a stupid [censor] and several more [censor]es. He told Micheal to just promise my stupid [censor] anything and just [censor] me so they could get off the phone to go and smoke a joint. When I got the correct spelling of their name I told them I heard every word they said and how many times they called me a [censor] because I wasted gas on myself from the faulty pump at Throntons. I hung up on them after I told them how stupid and unprofessional they were. I told them I would never visit any Throntons and I was going to social media about them and the taped conversation. They attempted to call me several times but I would not answer their calls. They called me from a 872 area code which is a Chicago area code. I'm confused why they called me so late and upset how racist they were towards me. It saddens me that they showed such ignorance and the disregards to a customer while representing your establishment. They should not be in customer service because they lack common courtesy and decency to deal with the public. They should be ashamed of themselves and how would they react to their love ones being called racist name, without provocation.
gas pump
On 3/17/18 I purchased $35 worth of gas but the pump did not click and I attempted to take the pump out my tank and without squeezing the pump it continue to administer gas all in the air and on me. I hung it up and gas continue to come out. I alerted the lady who claimed to be the manager. It was pump 19 at Thornton's #325 in South Holland Illinois.
I wasted $6.46 of gas on the ground, me, in the air and on the pump. The manager who's name escapes me but I showed her the massive spillage on the pump and ground.
I would like to be compensated for my loss and that pump needs to be serviced. This is the 5th bad experience I have had with Thornton's. They did not have my regular 88/15 so I got 87. I am thinking about not returning to your gas station. I have told my friends and family about the issues I have had with your company. I hope these issues like the credit card problems and putting my gas in some one else's car are minor mistakes. But they occur too often. What is the problem staff being incompetent or not doing their job. Please look into this matter. Your establishment reputation is on the line. I can go right over the passway to Loves, or Marathon if this continued to happen. I like Thornton but the problems are becoming to big to continue to ignore.

I stopped by the location on green bay and sunset road in Waukegan around 3:30am on Sunday 3/11/18, start off by inserting my card and then proceeding to pay for my gas. I run inside to use the restroom and when I get out and go towards my car I hear some very vulgar and inappropriate comments on the intercom. I hear someone saying "suck my fuc****" di**" over the intercom. I immediately think that's very innapropriate and unprofessional for someone to say, especially over the intercom. I talk it over with my girlfriend and agree that it's better to contact corporate. I feel very disrespected, whether it was directed towards me or not, it was extremely innapropriate and unprofessional. I really hope this issue with the employee and my uncomfortable encounter with the staff is resolved as soon as possible. I will start off by saying I go to this Thortons Every morning on my way to work, I have NEVER had a problem with the service ❤it! But tonight on 3/01/18 @ 10:58 p.m this was the WORST EVERRRRRR, Ive been playing lottery 14 yrs straight, my deceased husbands bithday, I never miss, well as I proceeded to approach the counter the two ladies at each register assisting a customer, as I was next I stepped my turn, she than took my number and walked to the machine, meanwhile the other lady turns her back ( while the gentleman awaits) and they began to indulge in conversation (10:59, lottery shuts down at 11:00] so I immediately say excuse me, Ma'am can u please enter my numbers while your talking, she turns and saids to me, SHES TELLING ME SOMETHING ABOUT HIM, YOU HOLD ON!
Infact next! Let her get you. Well I did just that...patiently, not a word, I have 30 seconds. Stepped over and got them entered. The rest is just too disrespectful to post but I tell you what every name in the book was called, she wanted to fight me AS I WAITED OUTSIDE! She was sooooooo disrespectful it was insane. I was so livid my whole ride home. I was determined to file something on this child that I needed her name or something, called up there the other lady answered Thank God ( but got nowhere) Chelsea is the GM call back in the a.m and that was it REFUSED to give me the employee's name, and hung up. I will start off by saying Thorntons all the time I went into the store at Old Hickory Boulevard in Nashville Tennessee you had multiple cashiers working and multiple lines at the time I stood in line 3 to 5 minutes and then I was told that I needed to go to the end of the long line because they only had one line from multiple cashiers that in that line had 12 people in it I did not have time to stand for 20-25 minutes just for paying for fuel I was very disgusted in your customer service if you going to have multiple cashier's in and out very quickly that just need to pay for fuel I will not use Thornton's anymore
I went in to Thornton's on Old Hickory Boulevard in Nashville Tennessee state for 3 to 5 minutes behind a couple gentleman and lime with one of the cashiers then I was told that there was only one line that I needed to move to the end of that long line there at that time had 12 to 13 people in it I did not have time to stand for 15 to 25 minutes just for paying for fuel it was very disgusted it in the customer service I will not use Thorntons anymore I have my own business and up to this date I use Thornton's religiously but I refuse to go to your stores and have to stand in line for 20 minutes to pay for fuel
I just posted review on Glassdoor, but this particular location is truly awful. As one who’s worked there, I’d NEVER patronize this store. In the time I’ve been there (1 month), I’ve seen theft happen, and the attitude of the workers is horrific. I’m embarrassed to have any kind of association with this particular store. Management is pathetic, to say it nicely, and the employees there are criminals. One particular lady who works the morning shift steals from the Hispanic customers (because they can’t understand), says she’s gone home with $100-200 daily. And on the second shift, one particular guy steals money when counting his drawer down, but somehow still has his job. Ghetto mentality right there.

I purchased 16 pack of Marlboro's at a thortons and they had a special 1.80 off of 2 packs. I was not giving the special on all packs purchased. I call back and the manage just blew me off. he said because I used a coupon the special didn't apply. Well it doesn't say that anywhere, and I did receive the special on 2 packs on. I have enclosed a copy of the receipt.

i placed an order for an e gift card for 50.00 to be sent to [protected]@yahoo.com to be delivered on december 15, 2017. the e gift card was never received. i would like to resend it. when i spoke with customer service " i am not allowed to do this. there is only one person here that can do this. she is on the phone with many calls and it is a busy time of the year. i will see that she gets the information." i still have not been contacted about this.i don't understand why i couldn't do it online. the web site would not allow this. the web site would not open "contact". i would like to have it resent as it is a christmas present.

gas 6 cents off a gallon 1 time
The Thornton's in murfreesboro Tn off of old fort parkway is not filling up like it should. I have a Ford Fusion se and it usually takes 2.20 for gas at 29.00 to fill up my tank if it's completely empty. I went to use my coupon and I had 50 miles left in my car but still chose to get gas. I got gas at 2.03 a gallon and put 20.00 in and first the gas stopped 3 times, then I clicked it again and it stopped at 19.00 which means my car was full. I turned my car on and it was only 75 percent full and I went inside and told the woman that my tank should be full and obviously the gas wasn't coming out when the numbers for the dollars were and she said said to call in a complaint because there was nothing she could do. I've never had a problem with Thornton's but I know exactly was happened because speedway use to do that and I stopped using them. If you check my account you can see I am a loyal customer but that just cost me money. I could have went to another gas station and paid full price without the discount and my car would be filled all the way to the top for the same price. I either would like a refund or some money back on my gas. I have pictures and a receipt to prove my situation if you need it also. The photos added were right after I got my gas when it was suppose to be filled to the top not 75% filled since that is what I paid for.

Today Saturday November 25, at 5:40 pm I came to put gas, I pay $ 30.00 gas on pump 22, when I when to put the gas I couldn't put gas it say to pay. I Ana Fleming when back inside to ask what happen, the cashier say you put your gas there where $30 dollar there and now they gone, I say I have not put any gas on my car, I when into my bank app and it show I had been charged $30.00 dollar, another cashier came and very unprofessional told me the money have been put back into my ATM car I look on my app and I do not have any return of money into my bank account . I told the cashier if my $30. 00 dollars are bot back in my account by Monday, I will be back at here . Unfortunately with most retailers, refunds typically take several business days longer than the charges originally assessed to post. I would not be surprised if, considering the weekend and holiday, the funds are not in your account on Monday. You may want to consider contacting your bank and filing a dispute on the transaction if you feel the wait has been too long for your refund. That being said, t his website is not directly affiliated with Thorntons and they will most likely not see your complaint here.

I just went into thornton's with my two special needs kids. I am during the day at thornton's 3-4 a day and they know my name well. They was going to give my kids the left over donuts. This shonida woman in front of everyone put me down multiple times as a mom. She is the 1 who threw the donuts away stating nobody told her they was coming. So I went to get my coke and told my kids sorry I will talk to day shift in the morning. This black woman wouldn't stop ghetto screaming how I shouldn't get a drink if they can't and it's wrong of me. I said well they was wrote down to have the left overs and we came over 30 mins early and you threw them out. Tons of customers heard her screaming. Tons! I am pushing for an instant firing. She was insanely rude and screaming and you never ever put a mother down like that. I brought $1 thinking as promised the day shift even took our names to hold the them. So about 9 times she yelled at me to not get a drink from your company because I brought in $1 thinking as promised they would get their donuts/muffins. So as a mom that was their treat I was trying to surprise them w/and a &.79 polar pop was my treat but this woman had them throw out their stuff and put me down in front of a line plus of customers and kept yelling as I was getting my coke how it is wrong of me and because I didn't have $3 on me I am basically a crappy mom. I do not ever ever ever get treated w/such disrespect in my life during the daytime. The daytime we are so close at both thornton's. This woman rude, embarrassing, insane, out of control, needs mental help, and more. Much more! I will not stop going as high up as I need until she is fired. You don't attack a mom. You don't attack a mom in front of her two disabled kids. You don't keep attacking her across the store. You don't make fun of her in front of all the customers. You don't tell her to not buy a product. So much more. I have ran a lot of businesses and corporations. This woman would've been an instant firing on the spot and had I been her boss I would've took some of her pay, immediate firing, a sorry to the customers, and many coupons for free items for the family. Especially when the family is putting alone $115 a month just in polar pops not counting gas. That woman will cost a huge loss and I will make sure or that until she is dealt with!
If you have "run multiple business' and corporations, " couldn't you have afforded to purchase a couple of doughnuts, or some other treat, for the kids? Even if you weren't walking around with the cash on you, I'd think you could use a card.
The whole complaint is summarized fairly well in the request for "many coupons for free items for the family."
Did you ask for a supervisor or manager? You could also call their corporate customer service. Just so you know, they can't legally take "some of her pay, " nor should they. Finally, as someone with disabled kids, you should know that it's not okay to say someone "needs mental help" unless you are their personal physician. I hope you have a M.D. and know her personally, otherwise that is extremely inappropriate.

At 1:02 a.m. today Friday, November 3, 2017 I visited Thorntons #56 at 8400 Dixie Hwy / Louisville, 40258. My friend and I entered the store which was empty of customers and Atricia, the cashier, didn't acknowledge our presence at all, she didn't look at us or even say hello - I'm assuming she was on her phone. I went and got gas at your Dixie Hwy Thornton's close to the Watterson exit and on this past Wednesday when I pulled up I seen the sign above the gas pump stating that the E85 was $1.73 a gal I went in and pre paid $20. Once I walked back to my car and hit the button I noticed that the gas was $2.06 a gal after my ¢.3 discount. I was very upset due to the false advertising that was displayed on you pumps but I went on and pump the gas because I need it and wasn't going to go somewhere else but I would very much like to be contact cause I feel like I was very much played and this needs to be corrected.
Did you go into the station once you noticed the price discrepancy? They might not be able to do much for you now since you pumped the gas and then left. Also do you have a picture showing the price of $1.73 per gallon? That will help your case a great deal.
harassing service
I go to thorntons everyday with over 1000 visits on my rewards card. My home thorntons is the one in east peoria. I live less than 10 minutes away. I spend hundreds of dollars INCLUDING my boyfriend. He also has his own rewards card. Every time I enter thorntons Tabitha harassed me and flirts with my boyfriend. She says dirty things to him. He try’s to avoid thorntons at all costs! Myself, I enjoy coming to thorntons as it’s very convenient for me and the prices are right! But, this female tears me down every time I enter this store! She’s physically knocked over my boyfriends soda and thought it was funny. She’s sat there and spoke to her friends as I wait behind her trying to get to work in time for 10 minutes. She’s rude, all the time. I’ve seen her throw ice at people and she screams profanity all over the store. I am tired of it. I am also going to corporate Monday morning.
mega lottery ticket
Went into thortons gas station in Plainfield Indiana to buy a mega ticket October 6 2017. The lady seemed to be having trouble with the ticket finely got the ticket and we left. On Tuesday October 10 2017 won some money and back to get it. The cashier said they couldn't get because it said not for sale, but Gloria said she could it. She tried and said had to it to Indiana lottery. We wanted the ticket back and she kept keeping the ticket. Then she said we didn't represent our age group.
Gloria was very rude and we don't appreciate it.

Cashier was VERY rude. When overcharged for an item didn't want to reimburse. Acted like it was a HUGE hassle to get the manager to credit the item. The manager in turn was also very rude and didn't apologize for the mistake made. When providing loyalty card attached to key chain to scan, in turn thrown the set of keys back on the counter. I have went inside because the pump didn’t print a receipt and I went to buy a pack of gum and there were 4 employees by the cash register but only 2 of them were helping and the lady in front of me wanted buy a drink and she gave the cashier a $1 bill and they said it was fake because it was in the washer and the didn’t bother checking it with the marker and there at least 10-15 people behind me and the other cashier was arguing with a costumer that there was no car at his pump while there obovlsy was at his pump and I waited about 5-10 minutes and I gave up because I had to work and I’m really mad because I didn’t get what I wanted and there were two cashiers doing nothing so I’m very mad and I won’t visit this location ever again even tho I have a gas guzzler. Next time I’ll just probably fill up my 45 gallon gas tank somewhere else

On exit 62 in tennessee, the short haired cashier with red hair is being rude and cussing and talking bad to everyday customers. Our company goes there everyday and spend a couple hundred dollars on diesel and then buy food and drinks. We don't want to go somewhere where we get talked to like that. We were excited to have a Thornton here, now we don't want to go there.
