I have published a (flimsy, poor quality) children's picture book with Trafford and can now only warn others NOT to do the same. The long process was very disappointing and the overall impression is that you are dealing with young, poorly paid, uneducated or unprofessional people (not from US and with poor grammar and spelling in their correspondence - obviously English as a second language) who couldn't care less. What bigger warning signal could there be? I knew I was doomed from the start, but had paid my money and so carried on fighting and struggling to get the best possible result.
Your "Senior Book Consultant" is no different and once your book has been published, he will try to persuade you to part with your money since your book is "excellent" and he'll rather innocently try to make you believe you will be famous and rich like JK Rowling among others. It was actually quite insulting to think that anyone might think I would believe him. The speech is so poor and monotonous that he actually repeated the same examples on two different calls. He called himself Craig Logan. The poor guy might be better off working at MacDonald's.
To add insult to injury, I ordered 30 copies of my book after it was published and still haven't received them 3 months later. So what does that say for anyone else out there supposedly buying a copy?! Needless to say, I doubt I'll every see any royalties.
Please also know that I published my first picture book with Authorhouse and they're EXACTLY the same and sister company to Trafford. So don't go there either. Be warned. I feel a fool for publishing my book with both these money-grabbing companies.

I published first book with Trafford. I was swindled into publishing my second. Two years ago after my 1st book was published I received a $40 royalty payment. The reps at Trafford told me I had to wait for a certain amount before another check would be released. After my second book was published I was told that I haven't had any sales at all which is a bold face lie! I have friends and family members who have bought both books. I researched Trafford before I used them but was told not to believe the lies on the Internet. Well a couple of years later and roughly $47 in rolyalities I am calling out for a Class Action lawsuit somehow, some way. They must be stopped! Too many of us have been scammed by these sister companies!

My name is Diaz Coleman. I'm having the same problem as far as getting the royalties from Trafford that are rightfully due to me. The name of the book that I wrote is titled The Children of Nataar. It is a science-fiction book. I know that they took the proceeds from my book. People have tried to purchase it through Amazon, and Barnes and Noble, and the internet, the books are sold out. I would like to join you in a Class Action suit against Trafford. My mom has been trying to find an attorney, if you find one before I do, please contact my mom via email at rozzyrw@gmail.com
My book is in production . I can never reach the individuals working in my book. I request call backs but they never call or send me an email. I'm not informed or kept updated on the progress they are making on my book. I paid the to get my book published k only go be ignored. I don't recommend publishing with Trafford. They are difficult to work with .
