Travelocity Worst experience ever

Booked a rental car with Hertz through Travelocity. When we arrived at the car rental location, they were closing told us they have no cars available and Travelocity overbooked them by 20 people. I then called Travelocity to try to get the problem rectified the first customer service woman was not helpful. She left me on hold for 45 minutes. 15 minutes later, she called back and told me to call got disconnected after I asked to speak to a supervisor. His name was Alexander. He was very rude unprofessional and refused to help and told me that’s not their problem in order to rebook we would need to pay more money. I will never use this service again and I will recommend everyone to do the same find somewhere else go Priceline seems nice.

Recommendation: Don’t do it it’s a waste of your time and money

Travelocity Travelocity - A Cautionary Tale

Dear Travel Enthusiasts, I feel compelled to share my experience with Travelocity, a company that promises much but delivers little. My recent interaction with them left me feeling utterly disappointed and frustrated. From double charging my credit card to abandoning me at an airport without a care, Travelocity's actions have been nothing short of a nightmare. Their customer service, or lack thereof, is a prime example of how not to treat valued customers. The cancellation policies they boast about are merely words on a screen, as they failed to honor them when the need arose. My advice to you all is simple - steer clear of Travelocity. Save yourself the headache and hassle, and opt for more reliable and customer-centric travel services. Your adventures deserve better than what Travelocity has to offer. Wishing you smooth travels and stress-free bookings ahead. Sincerely, a fellow traveler.

Travelocity Travelocity Review: Frustrating Experience, Incompetent Customer Service, and Constant Price Increases

I went on Travelocity's website at 8:37 p.m. to book a trip. I answered all the questions on the site, picked a hotel room, and outgoing and return flights. The system showed me a price of $914.00. Then the little wheel started to spin while the system claimed that it was downloading information. 40 minutes later and the wheel was still spinning. I decided to call and make the reservations over the phone. I spoke to agent #1. I gave her all of the information that I had already input into the system. It suddenly became difficult to understand what the agent was saying; not sure if it was my phone or her phone, but her solution was to hang up on me. I called Travelocity back, this time from my cell phone. Luckily, the agent had logged the information into the system. I went through all of the details with agent #2, but the price had increased to $1087. 00. I gave her my credit card number. Oh, the price went up a second time to $1140. 00. I was mildly annoyed, but I told her to book the ticket. She came back and told me that the system would not allow her to book the itinerary that the system had generated. Oh, and the price had increased again to over $2000. 00. I asked for an explanation, after all, the system had picked the connecting flights. Must not be much of a system. She transferred me to Customer Service. Customer Service could not even find the itinerary in the system. I knew that the itinerary was there- I was looking at it on my computer. Customer Service transferred me back to the main menu without warning. I had now spent 2 minutes short of 3 hours trying to book this trip. I hit the prompt and asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor could not find the itinerary in the system either. How was it that I was the only person who could work their system? I asked for an explanation- why couldn't their system determine connecting flights that would meet the requirements set by the airlines? How could the price increase four times while I was waiting for them to input information into the system. Suddenly, the phone connect went bad and I couldn't understand what the supervisor was saying. This company didn't even have a decent phone system. I was able to understand her when she told me that the price had increased again, to $2240. 00. Are you kidding? She suggested that we stay in a hostel instead of a hotel to get the price down. I hung up on Travelocity and called Expedia. 3 minutes later I was completely booked with the original itinerary, including the original hotel, for $1100. 00. I had to wonder how Travelocity was still in business. I also had to question their hiring requirements. If you value your sanity- CALL EXPEDIA.

I was really disappointed with Travelocity. I had high hopes for them, but their system was not user-friendly at all. I spent almost three hours trying to book a trip, and it was a complete waste of time. I was frustrated with the constant price increases and the fact that their system couldn't even generate an itinerary that met the requirements set by the airlines. I was also disappointed with their customer service. They couldn't even find the itinerary that I was looking at on my computer. It was a complete mess. I was really surprised that Travelocity was still in business. I had to question their hiring requirements because it seemed like their agents didn't know what they were doing. I was really glad that I called Expedia because they were able to book my trip in just three minutes. They had the original itinerary, including the original hotel, for $1100. 00. It was a much better experience than Travelocity. If you're looking to book a trip, I would definitely recommend calling Expedia instead of Travelocity.

Travelocity Travelocity Review: Unethical, Corrupt, and a Complete Scam - Avoid at All Costs!

I had a terrible experience with Travelocity. I strongly advise you to avoid this site and never use their service. They are unethical, corrupt, and a complete scam. I was treated disgustingly and unfairly by their staff. This is the worst site I have ever used and I will never use it again. I come from a large family and have informed all my friends about this situation. I will continue to do so with everyone I come in contact with.

I booked a vacation package with Travelocity, which included a flight, car rental, and insurance. I selected the insurance because my mother was ill in the hospital and there was a chance that I wouldn't make it in time. I saved a screenshot of the final "Thank you for booking with Travelocity," which showed the total amount. I also printed my itinerary, which showed the same total amount. I received an email which showed the same total amount. Three different items showing the same amount, which as I calculated before hitting the final purchase button, was the cost for the flight, rental car, and insurance. It seemed like it made sense. However, when my mother passed away before my travel arrangements, I called to cancel and Travelocity informed me that I didn't purchase the insurance.

The agent said that the total cost added up to it, but they only showed that they charged me for just the flight and rental, not the insurance. I spoke with several people and they said things like maybe I selected the insurance then deselected it before I clicked to make the final purchase or clicked on and off the insurance several times to create the error of showing my total price equals $49.00 more than the flight and rental car. Then I was informed later by corporate that the insurance was not selected and also informing me I encountered some errors which is why the total purchased showed $49.00 more than it should. Of course, they informed me again that I wasn't charged. Really Travelocity? Well, the charges didn't show up on my account until the day my mother passed away, which was three days later. I even mentioned to the corporate person that if I would have booked this package and the total amount would have shown what it should have been, it would have sent up a red flag. I would have called to inquire, stating that I selected the insurance but it didn't process, could I add it now? Well, she informed me that in that case, I still would not have the insurance.

With all the emotions I am going through at this time in grieving, then to deal with a so-called merchant that doesn't want to own up to their system error was too much to bear. Of course, I lost it. What a scam! Steer clear of Travelocity. They are totally unscrupulous and dishonorable and do not deserve your money. "Zero stars, of course."

Travelocity Travelocity Review: Poor Customer Service and Inaccurate Information on Luggage Allowance

Been using Travelocity for years to book my flights. But lately, I've noticed that their prices are not any better than their competitors. However, I still kept booking with them out of habit. Recently, I booked a flight from China to Brazil with them, thinking that the flights would be operated by KLM. I needed a bassinet for my daughter, but I was told that I needed to call four different airlines to organize that. Can you believe that? Four different airlines!

I couldn't find any information about luggage allowance, so I asked Travelocity for help. Depending on the agent, I was told different information. Some agents told me to find the information on my own, which involves calling four different airlines, including Xiamen airlines, which never picks up their phone. So, no bassinet for that flight! I could use the information on their webpage, but of course, it doesn't include information for the package I have.

One agent, after a lot of drama on the phone, told me that I have 23kg per person. However, one link on Travelocity says that Xiamen airlines give two luggage of 23kg per person for trips to Brazil, but they are not operating my flight till Brazil. While KLM and Air France give two luggage of 23kg per person when flying to Brazil, but they are not operating the whole of my flights.

So, I called back Travelocity. One agent told me she would call me back in two hours, but she didn't call me back after four hours. I got another agent who kept me on the line for over one hour again to tell me that I had to find the information on my own as he wasn't sure. When I asked to talk to his manager to complain, I was put on hold, and nobody ever picked up!

The first agent eventually called me and informed me that she would call Delta, who set up the package but whose name never appears anywhere on the flights itinerary. She again said 23kg, but the person in Delta wasn't absolutely sure. So, she told me she would call the four different airlines to find out. She told me I would get the information within max 48h. But 10 days later, and five emails asking for an answer later, I still do not know how much luggage I can take with me.

I am not even able to get the cost of bringing an extra luggage. An agent told me 500 USD, but Xiamen airline says 500 RMB, which is not exactly the same price! So, if you plan to book a flight, book straight with their airline and stay clear from Travelocity. In any case, they are not anymore cheaper!

Travelocity Travelocity Review: Poor Customer Service and Unprofessionalism in Handling Hurricane-Related Cancellations

This company is a total joke, and I want to warn others of their poor excuse for customer service. I booked my honeymoon to Puerto Rico through them back in July, but unfortunately, due to the hurricane damage, we were unable to travel to the island. Our hotel was inoperable, and our reservations got canceled. I contacted Travelocity to cancel our flights through Delta, but they told me we were unable to cancel them without paying a $200 cancellation fee per ticket to the airlines. I then contacted Delta myself, and they were very understanding and said no cancellation fee was being charged, which was also stated on their webpage as they were advising people not to travel to the area.

I once again contacted Travelocity, but they said they still couldn't cancel without the fee and that I should wait until 24 hours before my flight leaves to see if the flight was canceled because we would then be refunded our tickets completely. On October 7th at 11:41 pm, after I had already had a full day of wedding festivities, I came home and contacted Travelocity once again to cancel our tickets as our flights had not been canceled. I was told again I had to pay the fee to Delta, at this point I was overly annoyed with the company and the customer service and said whatever I want the flights canceled.

On October 8th, I decided to submit a complaint to the Better Business Bureau in regards to Delta. I received a very nice letter back from Delta stating they had fully refunded my tickets to Travelocity without a cancellation fee. At this point, I was beyond mad at Travelocity, so I went on to submit a claim to the BBB for Travelocity. Travelocity had tried to change their story, saying the fee was part of their cancellation agreement and that my plane tickets were non-refundable. I quickly logged on to my account where in bold letters under my itinerary it states 'Tickets are refundable', as well as, 'We understand that sometimes plans change. We do not charge a cancel or change fee. When the airline charges such fees in accordance with its policies, the cost will be passed on to you.'

I sent this information onto my BBB complaint, but I haven't received anything back from them. At this point, I am now fed up with Travelocity and their customer service as the story has seemed to change as they go. I will never in my life book another vacation through them as their customer service is a joke. In any other circumstance, I would have understood a cancellation fee. However, when something becomes out of your control, and they are unwilling to work with you, it's very unprofessional. So, if you're planning a trip, I suggest you look elsewhere.

Travelocity Travelocity and Sea Crest Hotel: A Nightmare Experience

I gotta say, my experience with Travelocity was a real doozy. My family and I were all set to stay at the Sea Crest hotel, with a full ocean view front room that we booked through Expedia for $452.32. But when we arrived, we were told that we were actually booked for a non-ocean view room. We asked if we could upgrade and pay the difference, but they said they didn't have any more ocean view rooms available. So we ended up paying an extra $100 deposit for the non-ocean view room, just so we could get settled in after a long 6-hour drive with the kids.

But that was just the beginning of our troubles. We had another family coming to stay with us, and their booking through the same website and hotel had a problem too. We needed one more room for one night, and were told it would cost $278.10. But then they said we could get an ocean view room on the 11th floor if we paid an extra $178.50. So we agreed and paid up, bringing our total to a whopping $1008.92.

But then the manager, who didn't even have a name tag, told us that he accidentally sold the room to someone else. How do you accidentally sell a room that someone has already paid over $1000 for?! We were understandably frustrated, but we tried to stay calm and figure things out with Expedia. I even told my wife to let it go and just take the non-view room so we could get some rest.

But then the manager started canceling all our bookings without our consent, and told us we had to leave the property. We had nowhere to go, and over $1000 had been charged to my card. I even called 911, but they just gave me a number for non-emergency cases. We ended up having to find another hotel, but since Sea Crest had blocked over $1000 on my card, it was declining. I called them to release the funds, but they said it wouldn't be back on my card until Monday. So I tried to dispute the transaction with my bank, but they said the hotel had to call to cancel it. It was a mess.

In the end, we had no choice but to drive all the way back home. It was a real bummer, especially since we didn't do anything wrong. I mean, I didn't even use any abusive language or point a gun at anyone! My family suffered for no reason, and it was all because of this hotel's incompetence.

Travelocity Travelocity and Transamerica Insurance Company: A Warning for Travelers

I gotta say, I don't usually like to complain about stuff, but I had a really bad experience with Travelocity and their insurance company, Transamerica Casualty Insurance Company. I bought tickets from Travelocity back in July 2016 to go visit my friend who was over 100 years old. I wasn't sure if October was gonna work out for her, so I got the insurance just in case. The insurance said that if I had to cancel my trip before I left, they'd reimburse me for the flight.

Well, my friend got sick in August and passed away in September. I called Travelocity right away to see if I could change my ticket to go to the funeral instead, but they said no. I asked if I could use the ticket for a different trip, but they said no to that too. They told me to call Transamerica Casualty Insurance Company, so I did. But they said I couldn't get a refund because I wasn't related to my friend by blood. That's messed up, right? My friend was like a mom to me for 15 years and she didn't have any living relatives. I explained all this to Transamerica, but they still said no.

I called Travelocity back and talked to a manager, but they said there was nothing they could do. I'm not rich, so losing $350 for a flight I couldn't take is a big deal for me. And on top of that, dealing with my friend's death was really hard. It was super traumatic to be told I couldn't get a refund because I wasn't related by blood and then asked to produce a death certificate.

I just want to warn other people who might be thinking about using Travelocity and Transamerica Casualty Insurance Company. I'd suggest trying a different travel site instead.

Travelocity Travelocity's False Advertising and Poor Customer Service: My Experience with a Non-Existent Hotel

I've been using Travelocity/Expedia for a long time, like 15 years, and I've booked a lot of trips with them. Sometimes the hotels or vacations were good, sometimes not so much. But overall, I thought Travelocity was pretty easy to use and I didn't have any major problems with my bookings until recently. A few weeks ago, I accidentally booked a hotel that was non-refundable. I realized my mistake right away and called Travelocity within seconds to see if they could help me out. They said they had to contact the hotel to see if they could issue a refund, but then things got worse. Nobody, not even Travelocity, could reach the hotel because it didn't exist. I read some reviews and sent a friend to check it out, and it was clear that there was no hotel at the address provided. It was just a rundown building that looked nothing like the ad. Travelocity told me that they had to contact the hotel to issue a refund, but I knew that wasn't going to happen because there was no hotel to contact. I finally managed to get in touch with the so-called hotel myself, and they gave me another location to go to. When I got there, it was an extremely unsafe location, a rundown building that I wouldn't even feel safe parking my car at during the day. I rang the bell and nobody answered, and when I tried to call the hotel, nobody answered there either. I finally called Travelocity for the fourth time, and this time I asked them to cancel the booking. I explained the situation to them many times, but they still didn't offer me a refund. I was really disappointed in Travelocity because they should have understood my situation and done something to make it right. They could have offered me a refund right away and even arranged for me to stay at a nearby hotel to make up for the inconvenience. This wouldn't have cost them anything, and I'm sure they could have enforced it on the scammer hotel. This was the first time I've had a problem with a merchant falsely advertising on Travelocity's website and abusing my trust in the company. It's like finding out if an insurance company is actually good when you have an accident. I'm still trying to get my money back, and all they've offered me is a coupon for half the price of the hotel to use on a future booking. I'm really disappointed in how Travelocity handled the situation and how they made it easy for people to be scammed by their merchants. They didn't do anything to make things right, even though they promised they would. They could have avoided this whole mess if they had just realized that the hotel was unreachable before I even went there.

Travelocity Travelocity Review: A Total Disaster - Don't Use Them!

I gotta tell ya, folks, Travelocity is the worst. I booked a couple of flights through them last year, and it was a total disaster. I wanted to change one of the flights, so I called their customer service line. They told me it would be easier to just cancel the whole itinerary and start over. I was hesitant, but they assured me there would be no fees since it was within 24 hours of booking. So I went ahead and did it.

Big mistake. When I got back from my trip, I saw that Travelocity had charged me $1,200 for the flights. They never cancelled them like they said they would. And when I called to complain, they told me they couldn't refund the money because it went to the airline. But the airline said they weren't responsible for Travelocity's mistakes. So I was stuck.

I spent hours on the phone with Travelocity's customer service, but they were no help. They finally offered me flight credit for the same amount, but when I tried to use it a few months later, they said I didn't have any credit. I had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau just to get the credit back, but by then it had all these fees attached to it, so it was only worth $400.

I've been fighting with Travelocity for a year now, and they still won't give me my money back. They've lied to me, yelled at me, and dragged me through the mud. I'm so fed up that I'm considering suing them. If you're thinking about using Travelocity, don't. It's not worth the hassle.

And here's the kicker: Travelocity is owned by Expedia, who also owns Hotwire, Orbitz, Hotels.com, HomeAway, and a bunch of other travel sites. So I wouldn't trust any of them. If you want to book a hotel or flight, do it directly through the company. Don't risk getting screwed over by these shady travel sites.

Travelocity Travelocity's Car Rental Insurance is a Scam - Beware!

Travelocity is a total rip off! I booked a vacation with them last year to Cabo and had a nice time, except for the car rental situation. We purchased car insurance through Travelocity, but when we got to the rental company, they said it was invalid and we had to purchase their insurance. We felt extorted and had to waste time and money to fix the situation. We called Travelocity and they were apologetic and refunded us the extra money we had to spend.

However, I booked another vacation with Travelocity recently and the same thing happened again! The insurance we purchased through Travelocity was not valid and we had to purchase insurance through the car rental company. I called customer service and spoke with Mary, who offered no solution to the problem. She pretty much told me tough luck and didn't offer any compensation for my inconvenience. I asked to speak with the manager, Isaac, who was even worse. He didn't care about my situation and only offered a refund on the insurance after I threatened to tell everyone about my terrible customer service experience.

Travelocity has a major problem with their car rental insurance and needs to get a handle on it. Also, Isaac is the worst customer service manager I have ever dealt with. I will not be doing any more business with Travelocity and will be telling everyone I know about my experience. Don't buy car insurance for car rental through Travelocity!

Travelocity Travelocity's Misleading Cancellation Plan: A Frustrating Experience

I recently had a terrible experience with Travelocity. I booked a flight for my fiancé, but unfortunately, she couldn't make it to the departure city due to her medical condition. I had purchased a cancellation plan for the ticket, but when I called Travelocity, they informed me that it was actually travel insurance and that I had to file a claim to get my money back. I was already feeling sick with the flu and didn't want to deal with the hassle, but I had no choice.

When I went to file the claim, I realized that I had to use my fiancé's last name, which was not the same as the name on the credit card used to purchase the ticket and the cancellation plan. I was also surprised to find out that they would be mailing a check instead of returning the funds to my credit card as promised. I felt misled and frustrated with the whole process.

To make matters worse, when I called TravelGuard, who handles claims on behalf of Travelocity, they told me that I didn't qualify for a refund under the insurance policy. I explained that the traveler was not the one who purchased the ticket and that she had medical issues that prevented her from traveling. I was asked to fill out a medical form, which seemed like a lot of unnecessary work, especially since the payment could only be sent to the traveler, not the one who purchased the ticket and the plan.

I felt like I was getting the run-around and that Travelocity and TravelGuard were doing everything they could to keep my money. I was so frustrated that I decided to contact the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General where Travelocity headquarters is located. I couldn't believe that a company could get away with such shady practices.

In the end, I learned my lesson and decided to deal directly with the airline from now on. I don't want to risk getting scammed again by Travelocity or any other travel company. I hope that others will read this review and think twice before doing business with Travelocity. It's not worth the headache and the heartache.

Travelocity Flight cancellation

Booked flights for three members of my family, two return flights and the other one way from Mexico city to Montreal.

Two days before departure the Canadian government cancelled eta permits and required a visa for Mexican citizens.

my family members had their eta permits and couldn"t obtain their visas two days before the flight.

Called travelocity to explain the issue and asked for a voucher to be used as soon as my three family members obtain their visas to enter Canada within one year

They totally refused, showed no compassion.

I had always booked my flights and other friends and family members flights with Travelocity.

Not anymore, very disappointed

If You need more details of the flight in question, please let me know.

Thank you.

Upon Inquiry with Europcar they state that insurance has not been applied through reservation and no insurance is noted - staetd that i can provide insurance coverage and they state it is not valid unless booked through their company. Paying additional $160 to EUropcar for insurance even though it has been purchased through travelocity .

Also attepted mutiple times to get confirmation code so that i can check a bag through frontier and travelocity states they will send email with info but have not thus i am paying higher price with airline at checkin to book checked bag versus being able to do it online.

Overall not impressed with travelocity customer service or scam like behaviors.

I mistakenlly reserved a room at the Days Inn Logan Utah for the next night (Sept 19) instead of the current night (Sept 18). There was no way to cancel that booking. I then booked the correct night. Immediately after I contacted travelocity and they said the mistaken booking would be refunded but the hotel had to OK it. Aftera few days of hearing nothing I...

Travelocity free 24 hour flight cancellation policy

Flights purchased from travelocity are fully refundable if cancelled within 24 hours of purchase. When I called Travelocity, I was told that i was not entitled to a refund but they would make a one time exception.

They charged me for a different flight but never mentioned that I would be paying for the new flight and the original flight.

Why didn't they just say I should cancel the original flight on-line, and rebook?

Instead of my paying for 2 flights?

Claimed loss: $430.30

Desired outcome: Return my payment for the original flight $430.30

I had booked an auto rental with Autovia through Travelocity. I pre-paid $125.82 for an 8 day car rental. When I arrived on time to pick up my rental and fulfill the remainder payment due, I was asked for an International Driver License. I was never advised that an International Driver License was required to rent a car at Milan Linate Airport...it was not...

Travelocity Hotel reservation

Itinerary # [protected]

I made a booking for the Harbor Hotel in Provincetown. It was the wrong hotel. I did get the insurance and I paid extra for "refundable". I tried calling immediately, when I found out I booked at the wrong hotel. Not only that, but I got no answer at Customer service. Furthermore, I don't know how anyone expects to have questions answered with a "ROBOT".

I am formally making a complaint with the BBB.

I would like a call back from a "real person" someone who can actually answer my concerns.

Thank you,

Scott Ambrose

[protected]

Desired outcome: Cancel my reservation with a refund. I understand if you need to keep a small non-refundable deposit, usually 1 night. Which would be 165.00.

Travelocity Flight credit

I booked a flight for my Sister through Travelocity on Delta. I used my flight credit ($498.60) When I confirmed the flight, it showed a $0.00 balance for the ticket which was $389.00. When I clicked to checkout, their system asked for a credit card without any explanation. I thought it had to do with confirmation or something. Instead their system REMOVED the credit and charged my card fore a non-refundable flight which was clearly marked "Credit Eligible." Now I'm out $388.90 for the flight and will lose the $498.60 credit because I no longer have a need for it. At NO time did Travelocity indicate my credit had been removed. This is a deceptive business practice.

Desired outcome: Refund of my credit either by Travelocity or Delta Air. I worked with their system and rules and got ripped off.

Travelocity Hotel booked through travelocity

I booked the Howard Johnsons hotel for last weekend but was not happy with the conditions. This hotel should not be on anyones website & travelocity should cancel this as an option for any traveler. I have never seen such conditions. When we first walked in it was nothing like what your company put on the website. When we entered the hotel it reeked of dirty, smokey smells. When we went to look at the room it was stinky (beyond trying to breath). The refrigerator probably hasn't been cleansed sense they built the hotel. The elevator was stinky and dusty inside and out. Carpets dirty. I have NEVER been met with such conditions in my entire life. I demanded a full refund, but was charged $95. Thats a joke. I will tell anyone that will listen. I have multiple health problems (breathing) for one. I have 3 inhalers and a breathing machine etc. Perhaps, Travelocity don't care about there patrons. This was a dirty deal. The girl at the front desk picked here nose in front of us (Yuck!) I want the rest of my money back! My suggestions is the board of health should see this place for themselves. The little kids may me cry. I know anyone that spends a night in this hotel will get ill!

Desired outcome: Refund all of my money! I suggest someone go in and checkout the conditions!

Travelocity Travel agent that was rude, unsupportive, unwilling to resolve issue

I reached out to Travelocity on 8.13.23 around 3pm to change my flight as I had a travel credit. First I called the number listed [protected] but no agents were available. The voice recording recommended to use the chat. So I did. At first it was a virtual agent 3:10pm. Then I was connected with an agent 3:24pm. From the beginning, the agent was phoning it in. While the agent said they wanted to help, in the end it was a run-a-round I got. No resolution, they pushed me to resolve the airline credit with the airline even though Travelocity is the point of sale. In the end I had to pay an extra $50 for doing so because the Travelocity agent said that my booking is a "secured PNR." I asked for clarity and none was given.

Furthermore, the travel agent asked me to wait until 8.22.23 and call back since they will be having a sale that day. I did not trust this agent.

The airline booking agent clarified that PNR means traveler/passenger.

I am attaching the whole transcript below as PDF as the video screen shot is about 10MG.

I find it hard to believe that the travel agents behavior would be company policy. If so, Travelocity has lost my business.

Desired outcome: My desired outcomes are:1) a $50 cash refund (no credit).2) reprimand of agent

Travelocity Charged for a flight

On 8/15/23 I used Travelocity to book 2 roundtrip flights from Orlando to Cleveland.

Travelocity offered a flight from MCO w/Frontier and return CLE w/ Spirit. When I clicked "Book flight" a message appeared that "seats are no longer available @ $367, the next best price for this route is $919." I had no idea the booking for the Spirit flight went through and I was charged $269.78 on my Amex by Spirit until I saw an email & had already booked another roundtrip flight going through Frontier directly.

Travelocity shouldn't offer a flight and then when you hit BOOK does not book one flight but charges you for the other! I'm requesting a refund. Conf Spirit GW9JXH email: [protected]@yahoo.com. Name: Kimberly Bohlman

Travelocity Refusing to cancel and refund a refundable flight

I booked a flight with United Airlines through Travelocity. I paid about $100 extra for my ticket for it to be fully refundable if I needed to cancel the flight. Well, a few weeks after I booked the flight, I indeed needed to cancel it. On the confirmation email sent from Travelocity for the flight, there is a link to cancel or change the flight if need be. I clicked on the link and it sent me to a virtual agent that could help me. After choosing the flight to cancel, the virtual agent said it would try to see what it could do. The three little dots indicating that it was sending a message was up for hours after that. I finally asked it to contact an agent. I was in contact with someone named Jenny (though Jenny still messaged like a bot, so I’m not sure if it was a real person). After the (probably automated) message of Jenny saying she would read through my messages with the virtual agent to get caught up on the situation, she just said “Hi.” Not, “Hi, how may I help you,” but “Hi.” I then proceeded to say I wanted to cancel my flight and provided all the necessary information for Jenny to look up my flight and how to cancel it. Jenny then proceeded to tell me that I could not cancel my ticket and it was nonrefundable. I then provided text straight from the confirmation email where it said that my ticket included cancellation. After rechecking, Jenny still insisted that I could not cancel and could not get my money back. She offered me airline credit that is good for 12 months but could not see that I could cancel my ticket and it was in fact fully refundable. I went to the United Airlines website and was able to cancel my flight in a few short minutes and got all of my money back within 3 days. So, to offer some advice, DO NOT book with Travelocity. If you have booked with Travelocity and need to cancel or change your flight, do so on the airline website, not through Travelocity.

p.s. I have the confirmation email from Travelocity and screenshots of the conversation with Jenny for evidence.

Desired outcome: I would like Travelocity to stop being corrupt and not outright lie to their customers and rob them of their money. I do not want any response from Travelocity, as I have fixed the problem myself.

Travelocity Horrendous stay

I stayed at Ocean Dune Hotel from June 30 2023 to July 7 2023 in Eastham Cape Cod. The problems:

1. Cockroaches, silverfish, ants

2. Black mold on the walls of the bathroom, in the A/C filter, curtains and tub

3. Bowed, warped and deformed ceiling panels where the bugs dropped from

4. When asked for our room to have the bedding changed, I told staff and it was never done on two occasions.

I don't expect to have to buy bleach, brushes, fabric cleaner and insecticide when I go on vacation. I cleaned the tub myself. You know, the brownish color came off and it's almost white!

Travelocity Disappointing Experience with Travelocity: Flight Cancellations, Poor Customer Service, and Burdensome Insurance Claims

I recently booked a round trip from Pellston, Michigan to Miami with Travelocity, including a car and hotel in Islamorada. Unfortunately, my experience with Travelocity was not a positive one.

On January 9th, my flight from Pellston to DTW was cancelled, which resulted in three long phone calls to an offshore location to get rebooked for the following day. I was only able to get my flight rebooked and had to make a fourth call to deal with the car rental and hotel. It was a struggle to get a stateside agent to help me with this. Eventually, I was able to achieve an 11:40 arrival schedule for MIA and then 1/11 at 2:00 AM for Islamorada.

On January 10th, my PLN to DTW flight was cancelled again at noon. I was rebooked on a flight out of MSB, which was a 3.5 hour drive south at 4:00 PM. I barely made it and was able to make my DTW to ATL and ATL to MIA flights. When I arrived, the car rental and hotel were informed of my one-day late arrival.

On January 19th, I departed from MIA and arrived in ATL. However, my ATL to DTW flight was returned to the gate for mechanical problems and we were deplaned. I had to wait two hours for another plane and missed my connection from DTW to MSB. I had to stay overnight with a meal near DTW and arrived in MSB on January 20th at noon, barely making my appointments.

Throughout this entire ordeal, I received absolutely no help or comment from Travelocity except for the rescheduling on January 9th that took hours and five phone calls to achieve. Delta was also not helpful or courteous.

Although the trip was insured, the entire burden of proof and the burden of a six-page claim form are on me, resulting in several more hours of wasted time. I will never use Travelocity again for the above reasons. Additionally, without a breakdown of the cost of flights, car, and hotel, it is virtually impossible to come away with an informed opinion about the value of the service and package. I have taken month-long trips to Europe and Morocco with self-booked flights, cars, and hotels with less aggravation and quite comfortable with the costs, which were all individually known.

Travelocity Terrible Experience with Travelocity: False Promises, Unhelpful Customer Service, and Ruined Vacation

I recently used Travelocity to book a condo on the beach in PCB, FL. However, the night before my vacation was set to begin, I received a notification that my reservations had been canceled! It was almost midnight, but I immediately called the number provided to deal with the situation. The woman on the phone asked me what I was looking for and why I had booked the prior room. I explained that I wanted a beachfront room that could accommodate four people. She then asked me to hold while she called around. After a few minutes, she came back on the line and asked me if it was okay to not be beachfront. I was shocked and said, "No way! My vacation starts tomorrow and I already paid for a beachfront condo!" She put me on hold again and returned a few minutes later, saying that she had found a one-bedroom suite with a fold-out couch and a full view of the beach on Beachfront Rd. I reluctantly agreed.

When I arrived at the hotel, which was three miles from the beach, I realized that it was nothing like what I had agreed to. I called and spoke with about six representatives who all told me that it was my fault because I had agreed to the room. However, I had agreed under false pretenses! The woman on the phone had told me what I wanted to hear just to get me off the phone. The hotel I got stuck at was nowhere within walking distance of the beach.

When I checked out of the hotel, I was printed out a receipt stating that I owed $0.00. However, a few hours later, I was charged $170.00. I called and disputed the charge, but they said they found a cigarette butt stuffed in a shower drain. I explained that there were no vents and no balcony, and that I had children in the room and nobody was smoking in there. The manager, Scott, said he would call me back after looking into it, but I never received a call back. Instead, I received a notification that another $250.00 had been deducted from my account! This caused my account to bounce, and the whole situation has caused my anxiety and stress levels to be so high that it literally ruined my whole vacation!

Overall, my experience with Travelocity was terrible. The customer service was unhelpful, and the hotel I was stuck at was nowhere near what I had agreed to. I would not recommend using Travelocity for your travel needs.
