We owned our Power XL Air Fryer pro plus less than a month when it simply stopped working. I plugged the fryer into different electric outlets, and it still wouldn't turn on. Bought the fryer at Walmart. I ask for help from Tristar, but they didn't seem to care. No call back. Trash day for our community is this coming Wednesday and that is where this Vortex Air fryer Power XL will be going.
Recommendation: buy different fryer

Power XL Vortex Air Fryer Pro Plus
I received my Power XL AF as a 2022 Christmas gift. I didn't open the box to use until April of 2023. I used it to reheat some pizza & it worked great. I tried to cook some chicken tenders a week later. When I opened the door to rotate the shelves, the unit would not start up again. I let it cool for several minutes, still would not start cooking. I tried to turn the unit off to restart it. The on/off power button would not shut the unit off. I unplugged it let set for several seconds, and plugged it back in. The screen displayed the same setting as prior to unplugging but still would not start. I did this a few more times, because I still needed to finish cooking my chicken. Finally, it started again. When using the Airfryer several days later. The same thing happened.
I have to unplug the device to get it to shut off after using it. In the Owner's manual it states " Press the power button once" to shut off the device at any time.
Desired outcome: I would like to know why it's doing what it's doing, why the power button does not work as the manual states. If it's a fault with the device. I'd like a new one.
Power Air Fryer Oven Elite
Your customer service is abominable. I have been working on this resolution since April. I've called, left messages and emails and nothing. My airfryer now has a BURN hole in the top and is now unusable. I've sent pictures and proof of purchase to Empower customer service who then sent the information to Tristar to [protected]@tristarproductsinc.com with the ticket number of my case and nothing.. I spent $255.14 for this product and thus should not have happened. I WILL NEVER BY ANOTHER PRODUCT BY TRISTAR BECAUSE THEIR PRODUCT IS INFERIOR AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABOMINABLE.
Desired outcome: I want all my money back for such an inferior product.
Tristar mg-2 vacuum
I bought an overpriced Tristar MG-2 vacuum. I'll admit I got scammed for the price by the door-to-door salesman with the pressure pitch. Vacuum is a total piece of junk that keeps sucking money out of my pocket. I've had to replace all the accessories including the powerhead twice in 14 years, several powerhead belts for the brush, replaced 2 brushes that were worn out, wands failing to stay attached or lock together, hose assembly that won't lock to wands, wheels on vacuum falling off, not to mention the constant supply of bags and filters that have to be replaced. Do yourself a favor and buy any alternative.

Smoke was bellowing out of the top of the appliance and the element continued to be on even after it was turned off so it had to be unplugged. Tried to send email to Tristar but it was demon returned so their email is fake.
So unhappy with these people but what do you expect. The product is made in china.
I called a phone number the lady took all information and also give a reference # [protected] . I emailed it but it was returned. It said the email didn't exist so what to do ?
This product was a gift to me. The person purchased it at Walmart in Hazlehurst, ms. on November 26th 2021 this is all the information I can give on it.

Put in box on shelf after store Bed Bath and Beyond said they could not help us. I recently purchased a Power XL Air Fryer
Grill Plus at a Walmart Supercenter in NJ.
Model: B-AFO-002G-1
I purchased it 2 or 3 months ago. It worked
when I purchased it as I have air fryed
chicken on 1 occasion and have since used
it only to bake or broil since.
Recently, it seems to have lost the heating
power as I am no longer able to bake or
broil due to no heat. I see and hear the unit
turn on, but nothing is hot. I've recently
tried the air fryer setting to check that and
again...cool air.
I called your Customer Service number
not once, but twice to tell them of my
concern to which I have been told that
TRIstar would replace the unit but only
with the receipt.
I do not have the receipt being that the unit
was purchased a few months back and the
product originally WORKED. Who keeps
receipts for that long after using the
product and then it fails? I tried to explain
this to both Customer Service ?
representatives and the only resolution
they came to was "no receipt, no
replacement.
Obviously. TRIstar not only does not stand
by their product, but their Customer
Service team has been taught to not
satisfy the Consumer but only to recite the
words of Tristar..."too bad our Product
failed but if you didn't save your receipt
that's your problem and not ours.

Followed up after being denied for lack of receipt being that this product was purchased months ago and Customer Service immediately denied again without even an explanation of why we don’t have the receipt. It worked for 3 months. Why would we save the receipt?

Power XL Air Fryer Model CM-005
Purchased the Power XL Air Fryer Model CM-005 spring of 2021and late February 2022, the air fryer stopped heating/cooking. I called about getting a replacement part for the heating element, but I was told to provide the purchase receipt and if it is approved, they would mail me another one. Although the customer service rep said that it would only cost about $20 to ship it back, I know better than that. It will cost between $55-$60 to ship this product. Sadly, after spending so much money on this air fryer, I will have to take this purchase as a loss. The reviews are horrible and I'll probably receive another one that wouldn't last long. Needless to say, I will not knowingly purchase another Tristar product.

The door kept falling off even during cooking. Rep told me I needed to really push it hard. It set off my smoke alarms on my first try at cooking chicken. There was no oil residue in the pan. I wanted to send it back. They told me to gift it to someone. I finally got authorization to return it. When I went to mail it back, the mailperson told me he had sent 3 back in the last 2 days. The others had postage paid. I had to pay $55.

I called Customer Cares at Tristar yesterday because I wanted to return this oven. It is the Power Air Fryer Oven XL. I purchased it on December 28th from Tristar Products, Inc. The Invoice ID is 2150T51126107I21. The door kept falling off. I spoke with a rep called Alvin. He finally gave me a return authorization after 32 minutes of telling me to gift it to someone. I had to pay $55 to return this product that was falling apart. When I went to mail it back, the mail person told me I was the fifth one he had sent back in 2 days. However, I was the first who had to pay for sending it back. I mailed it back on January 31st. It was not a safe product, Any oil will smoke up your whole house when you are cooking. The door kept falling off. This happens even when cooking which stops the process. The rep told me to push the door really hard to keep it closed. The pictures of items on the face really don't help you cook. You must guess the temperature and time to cook. Take the food out and put a thermometer in each time to see if the food is ready. Then turn the food over or switch grates. Even though I only had this for less than 30 days, Alvin, the rep. offered me no refund or mailing fees. I tried to give it away and no one wanted it after reading the reviews. Even tried to give it away to a food bank. I am so sad I fell for the TV Demo.

On 12/21/21 spoke to Chelsea and she said I would have a check in the mail for the full amount. I am still waiting. I bought the extended warranty. with Allstate Protection Plan. when I bought the grill, but still no check. They stated If you have any questions about our services, please send us an email. I bought this Juicer a few days ago and it did not come with the spout (vitally important) or the cleaning brush. I purchased a 8" Chef Knife with 100% Lifetime Guarantee. It got rusted only after 2 months. I contacted them several times by emails and I asked them for the replacement and I got the run around. They did not honor their 100% Lifetime guarantee and they did not replace the rusted knife. I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with their product and how they handle their customer complain.

Purchased your product for 179.00 from you as supposedly you had a good reputation for standing behind your products. Kohls is selling the same unit for 139.99 minus any Kohls cash you could even pay as low as 99.00. But I bought the unit from you as I am home bound and elderly and have difficulty getting to the store. im on a fixed budget. My problem is that the unit does not toast bread nor cook french fries in a reasonable amount of time. It takes 35 to 45 minutes which is too long. I called customer service and they said sent it back so Ihad someone take it to the UPS store and they were told it would cost 58.50 for shipping, packaging and insurance. I can not afford paying this much. Is there anyway you can help me maybe by picking up unit or sending a prepaid label.
