TurboTax review: This is entirely unacceptable

Yesterday, February 28, 2024, I filed my taxes using TurboTax. In the online form I chose to have my federal income taxes paid on April 15 using my credit card. Instead, my credit card was charged right away. And for the service of using a credit card, a fee was also added. I complained online and the agent told me that this was happening to lots of people and that she didn’t think anything could be done about it but that I would hold she would put a supervisor on. I held for over 10 minutes and no supervisor came. I again posted the complaint online on the TurboTax site about the problem, asking that it be forwarded to their community forum. I again just got a bot reply not addressing the point of my complaint at all. TurboTax should have a huge warning that your money will be paid to the government immediately. This is entirely unacceptable. Plus it cost me almost $80 to file two of the simplest returns. I have used the service for seven or eight years, and will never be back again.
